- Ever wonder what Uncle Scrooge was up to in the 1960s? Well, apparently he spent them in a bunch of British TV shows.

Verdict: Webby finally calls Scrooge "Uncle."
10/10
Actually. Its his dad.
@@mohammadrickypratama6720 ahem ahem this comment is years ago before season 2 even started so don’t talk about something at the end of season 3
You forgot to mention how they successfully found a way to write Donald out of the episode by having him stuck in the pantry :P
Don't forget the perfect excuse for a Donald Duck absence.... him being stuck in the pantry.
I do miss Donald, but that was hilarious.
Just give him a key or open the door. I’m not saying it wasn’t funny, but let the guy out, for Heaven’s sake!
The writers actually said in an interview that Donald wasn't locked in the pantry... he just kept pushing on a pull door. That's why he couldn't get out. haha
That was funny. Only Donald, huh?^^
Okay yeah, even though I DID miss Donald being in this episode, that part was actually really funny~!☺
I absolutely loved how Black Heron explained her plan.
"They'll be bouncing here and there and everywhere! Mass destruction beyond compare!"
one fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish
It’s a nod to the theme song, which goes:
Gummi Bears
Bouncing here and there
And everywhere
High adventure that’s beyond compare
They are the Gummi Bears!
It does give a good reason why Mrs. Beakly is so over-protective of Webby, yet trained her.
Carrie Kube probably because of Black Heron.
Beakly has likely made a lot of enemies while being part of SHUSH. Black Heron was just one. I’m willing to bet that with her and Webby being a bit more in the public eye due to tv news reports, more threats from Beakly’s past might show up in future episodes.
And even though it was decades ago, I’m sure there’s some way to bring Director Von Drake back, either by flashback or archive recording.
it makes even more sense after the most recent episode. Webby's combat training is one of the few parts of her safety Beakly can control. Her mental safety is much harder to protect by comparison.
My favorite favorite FAVORITE part was when Scrooge allows Webby to call him Uncle Scrooge.
* FANGIRLING!!!!!!!!!!!! * :D XD
I didn't realize how much her just saying "I'm Webby" back would make the point hit home, either!
When the villain started saying the lyrics to the Gummy bears, I laughed out loud
Okay, the way Webby was fangirling about Scrooge is the way I fangirl about EVERYTHING having to do with Ducktales...
chic I like to imagine that this webby is a self insert for one of the writers. It’s probably just him/her imagining what they’d do and how they’d act if they met the cartoon ducks that they grew up with.
It’s not something bad, it’s just someone using their understanding of adoration to do art.
I think one of my favorite moments in the whole episode was in the kitchen when Webby asks "Do you think Donald tried cooking again?" to which Scrooge replies "That's impossible. He still hasn't found his way out of the pantry." which cuts to the pantry door with Donald shouting behind it.
The wage Kate Miccuci delivers “I’m Webby” after she hugs Scrooge is so heartwarming
Ludwig von Drake was always a fun character and it's awesome that he was the head runner of SHUSH in this show. Besides that, the "Gummi Bears" references and Webby calling Scrooge her uncle were my favorite parts of this episode.
Brian Levine can't wait to also see Chip & Dale homage in the show
The Writers and Animators said there are already Chip & Dale Charakters and Refrences in the Show you just have to find them and for anyone wanting to now where i got the Information watch the SDCC 2018 of Ducktales ruclips.net/video/9qaOXHNe0e8/видео.html
Chh-chh-chip and Dale?
Gotta love ludwig von drake!
As I responded to another here, not only the Director of SHUSH, but the Quartermaster - serving as M and Q in this story.
Speaking of the kitchen, when will we finally see David Tennant's version of "A SEA MONSTER ATE MY ICE CREAM!"?
I'm surprised someone hasn't asked him to do this at a convention yet.
Someone needs to!!
lightyearpig12 Agreed.
They finally did in Season 3!
it was definitely one of my favourite episodes of the show so far, Webby and Scrooge's relationship in the old show was really cute and I'm glad we get more of that in this series now :D
I absolutely agree! My heart melted in the last scene with Webbie and scrooge, what I'm waiting for is more Donald. I need more Donald in this amazing show!
he back in the last few episodes of season 1 and he gonna play a big role in season 1 finale
Donald’s probably still stuck in the pantry.
clintbrew yeah and I'm super excited for the finale but...I really wanna see Donald in normal episodes too, we have hardly seen Donald and I would looove an episode with him
Cole Pappadakis Actually the creators have said that he's busy fixing his boat house and that's why he hasn't appeared more often.
Ladyvampire 02 I hope he and Webby interact more.
Ludwig Von Drake as the SHUSH director was perfect.
Best Donald joke in the series yet.
I LOVE this show SO MUCH!!! I especially like how the bond between Webby and Scrooge developed. Also, just pointing out something obvious, Black Heron literally quoted a few lines from the Gummi Bears theme song! I found that kinda funny. Once again, another great review. One more thing, did anyone else notice that at the end of the episode, it shows that Webby still has the last of the potion (aka, the last of the GUMMI BERRY JUICE)!!!!
Probably going to be a plot point (or at least a MacGuffin) in a later episode - it'd be really funny if it ends up getting used by somebody completely unexpected.
And, of course, Webby still has a bit of the juice. I'm looking forward to seeing how they intend to use that.
The Gummy Bears callback
Darkwing Duck callback
Ludwig von Drake appears
Spy TV Shows reference
Webby calling Scrooge "Uncle"
This episode was just perfect👌
Ironically, F.O.W.L. originated in the OG 'DuckTales' episode, 'Double-O-Duck', which was going to be the original name for 'Darkwing Duck', and it would later expand on F.O.W.L's presence, and reach in the criminal underworld. I also noticed early on that the bill designs for the new show were inspired by Ludwig Von Drake's original designs since I've seen his old TV appearances on 'Wonderful World Of Disney' reruns. I'm also guessing that The Gummy Bears now exist in the anthropomorphic world that Duckburg exists in rather than the human world.
Yeah, I know that FOWL came from the Launchpad secret agent episode, but I didn't wanna get too in the weeds with history and references!
Oddly enough, doesn't the Gummi Juice cause Gummi Bears to bounce but gives humans super-strength? Either they defaulted to the more entertaining effect or it has that effect on all talking animals.
Maybe the Gummi Bears could be like a lost civilization thought only yo be legends and perhaps in one episode, Scrooge and his family discover them. That would be awesome.
Seaniccus Oh no you don’t. GO INTO THOSE WEEDS!
Donald being in the pantry was hilarious 😂
I had fun watching the episode, but now knowing about all the references makes it that much better. Thanks for the insight!
I appreciate how respectful the writers are to this show and how clever they handle every element that the audience is absolutely begging for. The best part is that they're not even finished stroking each item off the list.
I love Webby and Scrooge!! I wanna see their relationship grow!! 💖💖
The fact that the Action Cane had a sonic feature just made my day. I was wondering if/when they were going to slide a Doctor Who reference into the main show. (The short with Scrooge having a time machine notwithstanding)
And the "Call me Uncle Scrooge" line... I'm not crying you're crying! Shaddap!
Niki Groeger I deeply want Magica to call Scrooge a "skinny duck in a suit" to his face.
Oooh, yes!
you said you liked it when srooge told weeby to call him uncle, well here you go!! you got it!
I think one of my favorite jokes in this episode was how Webby thought the kitchen being a mess was the result of Donald trying to make an omelet again.
but then it was revealed that he locked himself in the pantry and couldn't figure out how to get out.
And I also loved the part where we thought Scrooge was dying from eating one of the berries but really a stem got caught in his throat.
Favorite room in the McDuck Manor? The thinking room. The one with the statue in the middle that Scrooge paces around and digs into ground with his steps.
Cant wait for your reaction of the other bin
probably my favorite episode so far
Launchpad's idolization of Darkwing Duck was the driving force behind his personality; it's why he challenged B.U.D.D.Y. and, ultimately, lead to the birth of Gizmoduck. Gummy Berry Juice is how Scrooge met Beakley and was the cause of not only their first venture, but the outing that got Scrooge to accept the role of "uncle" to Webby. Don Carnage's piracy against the Ducks lead to Dewey having more self confidence which fueled his desire to learn more about Della. And the entirety of Goof Troop is now canon as Goofy's experience with raising Max was a life lesson he passed on to Donald. I love how the other Disney Afternoon shows each play a plot point in the Ducktales series.
Anyone else hoping for a gummy bear remake, after this?
Yes
Webby and Scrooge finally bonding is a BLESSING
GOD
What made me so sad was that
Webby was always and will always know everything about Scrooge and when he said that as they fought the robots it made me so happy tbh,
They addressed the thing that she lived there all her life and he barely knows her, yet she knows so much about him.
Addressing that made me bless that part
Aka making episode 17 my best and favorite one simply of addressing that little detail :’)
Your videos are life savers tbh. You are so cool XDD reviews are the best and your one of the only ones who do it and you do an amazing job at it plus the title page always looks amazing owo
Keep working hard!!
Note: Ludwing is actually, in the image of Don ROsa, Scrooge brother in law, Matilda's husband.
yup
I love how at one point his cane was shown to have a sonic option, a sonic cane... Allons-y!
In a show that is so much about American Disney nostalgia - it's great that the two principal actors get a chance to dive in their own nostalgia - an episode that jumps into British TV cultural nostalgia for David Tennant and Toks Olagundoye. On a personal note, Donna is very very happy that she gave you the scoop on the Avengers.
The bit that impressed me the most about this episode was the fact that they weren't afraid to show Webby sending Black Heron to her death.
I’m surprised we didn’t see how Mrs. Beakley became Scrooge’s Butler nor how Duckworth ended up passing away during the flashback. Either way, this certainly is a first for having a character stowaway on Scrooge’s adventure that they were initially forbidden from going on in the Reboot.
I gotta say, I was a huge fan of the gummy bears when I was a kid, and was shocked that almost everyone didn't know about them.
For me, the fact they turned the doddering old Mrs Beakley into a badass ex-spy is just amazing.
Too Scrooge
You are great at these reviews thanks keep them coming
One of my favourite parts of the episode is that it explain why Donald doesn't appear as frequently as we thought he would in the new series.
This is one of my favourites, I’m also relieved I found out about Gummi bears through that Disney afternoon video 😍
4:42 Young! Scrooge reminds me of David TENnant's previous (and my all time favorite) role: The Tenth Doctor
Webby calling Scrooge 'Uncle', you _SOO_ called it.
I was squealing and waiting for the next bit of dialogue throughout this whole episode, I loved it so much!! Scrooge and Betina's relationship is beautiful in this too
Woah I didn’t even notice that. It goes to show the love the creators have for the show to recreate the kitchen from the original
Did not expect this one to come so fast. Glad it did!
Glad to have you back doing daily DuckTales Vids again Seannicus!
Can't wait for you to review the other episodes that are out :)
Well, not quite daily, but as often as I can manage! I'm still trying to catch up to the episodes I missed!
Seaniccus daily ish for catching up i mean, If you ever get a second, you should do a video on the SDCC DuckTales trailer, it looks amazing! And i can't wait for it all to come together
This episode was very Venture Bros-esque, especially with the compare and contrast of the past and present adventure in the same location, and an ageing supervillain breaking out a forgotten weapon again where the new generation gets involved with the unfinished business of the old.
I was a fan of the old Gummi Bears cartoon when I was a kid. I don't remember all of the details about it, but glad it was referenced in this episode, including that one fight that Sean briefly spoke of.
When Webby called him Uncle Scrooge, I was so happy! I loved the entire episode. Especially seeing Ludwig Von Drake, Donald"s other uncle!
Ludwig Von Drake. Anyone realise Ludwig’s last name is the same as Doofus’ last name
Holy crap! You're right. I can't believe I never noticed that. Maybe they're distant relatives.
Just remember not everyone who has the same last name is related
I thought Dofus was Drake not von Drake.
Isnt Ludwig a Relative i mean in the Comics they call him Uncle and i am pretty sure Doofus was never part of the Family Tree but i guess he is a Non-Comic Charakter so they might change somethings
Edit:ok yeah he is the Uncle of Donald so i wonder if that will ever come up again
Kathy Vinuya That may be, but they’re not related (more specifically his surname is actually Von Drake). That’s been the case with a lot of characters in the Mickey Mouse universe, more specifically those whose surnames are of their species.
I still suspect Darkwing Duck is more than a cartoon in the DuckTales reboot. SPOILERS!!! I've seen character art for Season 2 and one of them is of Mrs. Beakley dressed as Darkwing. It could just be a Halloween costume or something, but then I remembered this very episode when they established that Beakley is an Agent of S.H.U.S.H. and Darkwing was a freelancer often recruited for dangerous S.H.U.S.H. missions in his series. I REALLY want Darkwing to be a real character in DuckTales. Since F.O.W.L. is real, I'd like to see Rob Paulson come back as Steelbeak.
So you saw the Charakter Art but not that they already confirmed he will be more then a TV Show?
I highly doubt he's just more than a cartoon; they wouldn't tease him that way and then suddenly show both the organization he was a part of and the organization he constantly fought against (S.H.U.S.H. and F.O.W.L., respectively) if he just going to be a cartoon. Those two organizations ORIGINATED in Darkwing Duck, and were a big part of a lot of episodes. If they're real, then Darkwing has to be real too.
+silverSTONE 98 No I've only seen the leaked art from the panel. If they confirmed he's more than just a cartoon then that's great!
Yeah they said it or hinted at it on the SDCC Panel ruclips.net/video/9qaOXHNe0e8/видео.html
+Santos Chavez Agreed. If they confirmed he's real, I wonder if it will be this season they introduce him?
Uncle Scrooge finally said it!!!
I was waiting for this video since I saw this episode
I used to watch gummy bears!
This was so one of the best episodes of the season so far...I didn't catch the British stuff but all the other throwbacks and crossovers I did...and am I the only one who was waiting to see J. Gander? I mean I loved seeing Von Drake but when I think SHUSH I think Hooter
The best part of this was the ending...I mean it's a direct nod at the second episode of the original series and further episodes that grew their bond back then but it also gives a not so subtle hint at possible future events...don't want to spoil it so won't say more but I do hope we get a "sequel" of sorts
And I'm with you guys...A SEA MONSTER ATE MY ICE CREAM!!! XD
I think i subconsciously noticed the kitchen because it seemed very . . . i dunno . . . comfortable? But **I** lit up like a 3 year old being handed their favourite Popsicle when i heard the "boing" sound when they first drank the gummi berry juice.
I totally noticed teh call back to Gummi Bears. But thanks for letting me know about the others stuff, I didn't notice.
I'm sure there are even more I didn't mention or catch. The crew mentioned at Comic-Con that there were even other Disney Afternoon references people haven't found yet.
I am guessing there are visual gags.
Awesome Gummy Bears was in this ep and Webby finally call Scrooge " Uncle" wow.
i loved it.
This episode is like an episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Except instead of taking place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it takes place in the Disney Afternoon TV universe.
Great video I really enjoy your content
This was a good episode man
When Webby hugged Scrooge my heart melted into a puddle.
Another Reference To The Disney Afternoon: S.H.U.S.H. And F.O.W.L. Are Actually The Two Top Secret Agencies Within Darkwing Duck
Yeah....I’m 50% sure the flashbacks are at least the 60’s
They finally got back Von Drake!
As not only the M but the Q of SHUSH. Most impressive indeed.
How did you not talk about the Donald joke?
Things I want to see on this show (that hasn't been confirmed yet):
-Goof Troop crossover, using Goofy, college grad Max, Peg, and Roxanne. Maybe even adapt Sport Goofy in Soccermania, which basically the Ducktales pilot
-Bonkers, maybe as the partner to Fenton's mom who is also a cop.
-PK/Duck Avenger crossed over with The Mighty Ducks. Maybe a time travel to the future episode
-Agents of SHUSH, including Brandy and Mr. Whiskers
-Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow
-Scrooge McDuck meets Mr. Toad and have him voiced by another Doctor Who.
Roxanne is already in the Show?
No, it's just somebody who looks like Roxanne (as of now anyway).
Yeah i now but the Crew puts in a lot of easter eggs and Charakters in the Show they even said they have some Chip &Dale Stuff but no one found it yet
Since Mickey isn't allowed on the show I want Oswald the Lucky Rabbit to work at the bank where his father-in-law is the manager and that bank is the one Scrooge deals with. I want it that the bank is not happy with all the reckless adventures Scrooge has been going on lately and sends Oswald as representative to survey and review on the next adventure Scrooge has scheduled.
Its main theme is family 😍
I love your React
I swear when I was watching this episode for the first time, I was bouncing here, there, & everywhere. They packed so much into it, I love all of it. When we got our first tastes of the series between the clips that they put out & the first episodes that were replayed constantly on Disney XD for a whole day, I had the theory that Mrs. Beakly was a SHUSH agent & pitched that theory to Aaron Sparrow when I talked with him at a con, this was before we got anymore of the series. He told me about this cut scene from the first episode where Webby is talking on the phone with her granny & Gabby grabs the phone, they apparently knew each other. He figured that was safe to tell me since it was a cut scene, cut for time issues. I also think he was trying to detour me off that track but I knew she had to be a SHUSH agent. Not surprised that's the outcome, same with Scrooge as well. If J. Gander is anything in this series like he was in Darkwing Duck, I can totally see him wanting to hire Scrooge, this is assuming he was in charge during the 60's or that he even exists there of which I'm sure he does.
This raises so many questions about their Darkwing Duck TV show, this means that SHUSH & FOWL weren't apart of the show of which is all fine & dandy until you realize that villains like Steelbeak probably weren't in the series since he's apart of FOWL, does that mean Steelbeak exists in real life? More so, does that mean we might see him in the show sometime? Given Rob Paulsen is still doing voice work, they could see about bringing him back on as Steelbeak but I understand them not doing that if he ever makes an appearance on the show. Jim Cummings seems to still be doing voice work, they even got him on as Darkwing Duck but they got someone else to voice Don Karnage of which I have no complaints about, the new Karnage is very good & perfect, fits the role too well. If they replaced Rob as Steelbeak with someone else that fits the role well, I will not complain one bit.
With FOWL existing in their world, I can go back to trying to figure out who might be members of High Command, since seeing the vultures in the first episode, made me wonder if any of them might be a member of High Command so I kept tabs on certain smaller characters in the series but stopped when Darkwing Duck was confirmed a TV show. Thankfully I ended up watching the series again after this one aired because a friend of mine that wanted to watch the new Ducktales came over & I got her caught up, had me considering other people & I actually have a theory on who might be a member of FOWL High Command, Roxanne Featherly. She could very well be more than just a reporter & in Darkwing Duck, the middle member of HC had alternating voices, one time even being female, I liked the idea of her being female so it would be kind of neat of Roxanne ended up being that middle one in the new series. Look at how she acts, I think it's more than just a joke for the audience, she seems to be attacking Scrooge purposefully & if she has any knowledge on him being a member of SHUSH, this makes sense.
Thanks for the review! Yeah, I love this one! Y'all, if you haven't watched any of the '60s British spy shows referenced in this episode, go check them out! They're awesome! I even love how the boys have gotten into Ottoman Empire and how the channel's running a marathon of it, something so true to today's television. I'd probably watch a marathon of that, too, seeing as how I'll watch hours of House Hunters at a time. This reboot is one of the best things coming out of Disney right now, and I really appreciate how subtle it is. It references the past without hammering it in, it's heartfelt without being sappy and action-packed without being brainless. Really solid storytelling. After every episode I catch up on, I come back to this channel to hear your thoughts! Keep up the good work.
Milt Kahl created Ludwig von drake i'll add that to my encyclopedia of Disney knowledge
So Ludwig von Drake is even older than Scrooge is!😂
Christopher Cervantes in the 60s yes. But scrooge may already have spent his time trapped in an alternate dimension by then.
Well, even in the 60s, scrooge is pretty old -- he was in the Klondike Gold Rush in the 1890s, meaning he's at least in his 70-80 years old himself in these flashbacks (Assuming he was at least 17 when he was in the goldrush). ....so yeah. Either Ducks have a very long lifespan, or he's found some life-extending magics along the way.
Seaniccus he's already said he spent time trapped in another dimension. Also in the comics he was in Klondike at the age of 29.
Yeah if you say all the Comics are canon than Scrooge would be atleast 150 Years old
And it was mentioned once that Scrooge found a Fountain of Youth and said Fountain was mentioned in Ep.15
Bit of head canon on my part: What if there were a follow-up episode, with teenage or adult versions of Cubbi, Buddi and Sunni Gummi, and elderly versions of Gruffi, Ursa and Gusto, trying to get back what was theirs, the Great Book. Who would they call? Scrooge McDuck. This would take them to New Gumbria, which is protected by a mist where time passes more slowly like Avalon from Gargoyles, and they try to stop the great grandson of their greatest foe Duke Igthorn and his army of Cyber-Ogres from recreating the Great Gummi-Scope. Near the end, it was gonna be from Della but with her and her brother swapping places, Donald sends an emergency message via moonbeams to the Gummi-Scope.
6:51 Seeing that Clip made me realise that we havent actually had a Scrooge Freak out Yet so lets hope that will come in
But it probably wont since it wouldnt fit this Version of Scrooge
There was also a doctor who reference when webby uses the sonic mode of the cane
While it was cool that this furthered Scrooge and Webby's dynamic, one of my favorite things weren't any real story elements, it was when Mrs. Beakley fought Black Heron in the kitchen, the music stopped playing for the majority of the fight. No little chords to accentuate every little movement, which can sometimes take you out of the moment. It might be an odd little thing to like in the episode, but I still found it interesting.
First comment in two years:
When Beakley meets Scrooge and sees him asleep, he says that last night he caught a jewel thief called Jack the Treaper. That is character from the original show.
I knew there will be a gummy bear references and I was right
This episode pleases all my emotions but there is only one thing that bothered me: Black Heron never updated her evil lair! I mean come on, at least change the water in piranha pool!
The gummie bear reference made me cry 😭
And oh yes, season 2 promises Bubba the Caveduck, a western style Gizmoduck suit, and can someone say THE THREE CABALLEROS?!?
6:00 Never thought Webby would be offered that in the Reboot like in the Original series, despite not being related to Scrooge, but shall it be put into play that much for the rest of the series? I mean he always is known as Mr. McDuck to Mrs. Beakley even in the present day, despite what he said at the end of the flashback, and Mrs. Beakley has never really been called by first name to anyone in both the original series and the reboot.
Dosnt gummy berry juice make non-bears strong, not jump?
AJ pony , AP's channel Yeah your right
Maybe its different with ducks
In Gummie Bears, it made humans strong. So maybe gummie berry juice makes all animals bounce. Of course this is an alternate universe from the original Gummie Bears and original Duck Tales so the rules are whatever you want them to be.
Actually I think that’s only humans
thought the same
Personally, I see a lot of Milt Kahl's influence, beyond just the shape of the beaks. The show's character designs have the same sort of somewhat angular, Picasso influenced shape and simplicity of design, instead of the rounder, more fluffy, traditional designs. (And certainly Italian)
There's a lot of tweaks and little things but yeah. It's a cool visual choice, since Ludwig was the first Disney character designed specifically for television
And it works nicely with today's style of animation as well, and the simplicity allows for more expressive and lively character animation on a Television budget. (Not that it's low budget, but you know what I mean.)
At first, I admit, I had some problems with the re-characterization of Mrs. Beakley, the motherly figure being secretly an action-oriented secret agent, as a bit of a cliché, even merely in terms of Disney cartoons, like Mrs. Daring in "The Replacements" or Nana Possible on "Kim Possible." Still, this particular episode was extremely well done and had, I think, rather more real warmth in it than some of the preceding episodes. I'm still a little iffy on some aspects of the new show, but all in all, I think "DuckTales" is one of the better of the cartoons of the last two years.
I'm sad to say that I never really watched the 1987 Ducktales because a was born a little too late (1996) so Ducktales 87 was kind of rare to stumble across, and the only reason I knew it existed at all was because I had the old NES game and played it a lot. Unfortunately, I don't think there's any way I could watch it today, since VHS is kind of dead.
I was born in 1998 and still wacthed every Episodes since they were still airing then and i was atleast 5 when i started watching them
I believe you can find a lot of the episodes up on youtube
Honestly, Ludwig just makes me happy. He's just so entertaining!
Also, I'd argue that this show owes a lot more to Milt's Ludwig design than just the beaks. Even the overall body shape borrow's more from Milt than the rounded fluffy ducks from Barks or the traditional animated look.
I'd love to see a video about the SDCC Ducktales trailer. Is something like this planned?
There was no fridge back in the kitchen of the old ducktales
I got James Bond vibes from this episode
pretty sure the 3 caballeros and ducktales takes place in the same universe... you should do a video on their very likely crossover given the eastereggs each show has from eachother
I wont give much away n´but yeah Crossover incoming
And You showed the very scene on which they once interrupted the airing of Ducktales to play a grim, grieving screen back in the early 1990s, when a prime minister died. Hungary's own creepypasta.
Wait finally Gummi Bears gets some love by Disney? YES!
F.O.W.L. and S.H.U.S.H.? Ludwig von Drake? The GUMMI BEARS?! All that blew me away more than the actual secret agent stuff! Also, I like that Corey Burton reprised the role on Ludwig von Drake in this show; as cool as the new voice cast is, it's nice to hear some familiar voices for old characters.
Also, being the nerd I am, I was a little annoyed that the GummiBerry Juice makes everyone bounce, whereas in the original show Adventures of the Gummi Bears, the juice only made the bears bounce, it gave everyone else super strength. Eh, I guess this is technically a different universe, so it's technically a different kind of juice, too. They didn't even do the "stir and bang" thing that was required as part of brewing the juice.
This episode kinda explains all of the training 😈
a great episode
Can we just agree about the one place where writers got lazy in this episode?
In getting rid of Donald xD
It's less lazy than just not mentioning him.
True!
Seaniccus Scrooge said he was stuck in the pantry and you could hear him trying to get out. Fun joke but it just ends at the joke. Would have been nice if the excuse was that Donald is still interviewing for jobs like he was at the beginning of the show. At least we'd know what he's been up to in his life in the episodes he's been absent from.
5:54 oh. My heart.
