I got the 04.5 Chevy lly duramax without the hd hood so I think that’s one cosmetic upgrade I definitely want!! I got kryptonite upper control arms belstine shocks S&B turbo mouthpiece and air intake. 5" exhaust to 8" tip air bags. I’m thinking fuel lift pump and I’m looking into good tune as I have the stupid superchips tuner. I just want to make my lly as bulletproof as possible for as cheap as possible. This is my first diesel so I’m not really sure what to go with to make her live longer. My truck came with all the stuff I mentioned and came with a new egr blocking plate kit or should I spend the $300 and get the real egr delete kit?

It really comes down to what you’ll be doing with the truck. Are you using it as a daily driver or you going to be towing with it everyday. I’d look into a good turbo downpipe also. As the factory is squished and not very good at flowing.

so does a guy have to put a lbz “designed” cold air intake on or will my lly cold air intake still work??
