Every problem has a solution. It just costs $1000. Or more. Every time
one mans problem is another mans yacht
Wiiiiiizzzaaaardddd Hoovie loves you 😭😭
His Flex on you about the $1,000 is funny only because it’s clear you are friendly with each other. You tube creator beefs are sad to see and it’s nice to see this is all in good fun.
I guess the guys didn’t quite understand that it was $1,000 per problem!
Man maybe we need a Jared-Wizard collab! My two favorite youtube mechanics!!!
Good things come to those who wait,…. Oh…And pay $1000 as well.
To be fair to David .... he did say it would take $1000 to get it to where Hoovie wanted it. Not where anyone else would. And once again, we have to give Tyler credit for the biggest balls on RUclips for driving that disaster at 130mph.
I once drove up to like 50mph with a horrible wobble until I realized idiot me forgot to tighten the wheel nuts. It felt horrible, when I try to scale that up to 130 I instantly get an anxiety attack.
Exactly, Mr Wizard wasn't looking at it from the standpoint of Tyler taking it drifting. Just making it roadworthy.
Also, the Wizard seems to have based his $1000 number off of a visual inspection. It's likely the cost would go up once he stated wrenching.
I am so glad Jared took over this channel, it is great seeing builds actually get done.
hail yeah
Since Jared was given the reigns the channel actually lives up to its name. Well done Jared.
Agreed! Tavarish does some pretty cool stuff, but he has a ton of unfinished projects and it drives me nuts! He rarely uploads anything new anymore.
@@1175jaymz that TT 996 that has been collecting dust for 2 years after he made a video showing he has all the parts to finish it drives me insane
As a kid watching Home Improvement, Tim started building a hotrod from the frame up. I was so excited to see a car go together but it took several seasons before it actually drove.
That's how some RUclips channels feel. Why complete a project when you can start a new one.
Jared is the best. The kind of guy you want as a buddy because when you get stuck shadetreeing you know they will show up with a 6 pack and help you finish it.
I'm so glad Jared ended up with this car. He loves a car with a good backstory, and boy, if this car could talk!
would it speak in Lebanese with a German accent?
It would say “let me die!” 😂
It would say over and over in the Wizards voice "A thousand dollars!"
Can I just say how I love the running gag with the Car wizard saying "a thousand dollars"? xD Amazing job Jared!
Jared--I am always amazed at your positive attitude and flexible thinking to figure out options when something doesn't work quite right! I pat myself on the back with the completion of simple stock part swaps and here you are modifying aftermarket pieces to adapt them to your inherited customizations. Massive shout out to you for how thoroughly you understand each piece of the puzzle and for mapping out what you want and making it all happen. I am sure it's frustrating operating within a budget--especially where you know what else is out there--but it makes it more real to the tinkers like myself who don't even have our own shop yet. Great video. You keep getting better with every one.

There are mechanics that are great at diagnosing issues, finding the correct parts, installing them per manufacturer instruction; there are also mechanics that are great at solving problems, fabbing parts, finding parts from other cars and making them work, and creating something new. You’re wearing both hats flawlessly on this car!
I'm sure that when the Wizard said "$1000 will get him where he needs to go", he meant that $1000 would pay for a tow truck to get the car to the car ninja, which really IS where it needs to go.
Just a thought here, but you may want to stop still that hole in the bell housing so those cuts don’t keep cracking.
Thank you for the Epilepsy warnings before welding shots. I'm a welder but my partner has light sensitivity issues and commented on how good the warnings are. Love the build! 😁
I love tavarish, goonzsquad, bforbuilds. Jared is the new king for me.
Thank you auto tempest for sponsorung this video and this channel. Jared is knowledgeable, experienced and doesn't get phased by much. Thanks again.
Happy to sponsor Jared and Wrench Every Day!
A BMW V8 swapped e30 with e36 suspension and 5 lug conversion…. This smacks of all the me. When you are done with this car I would love to talk seriously about it’s forever home.
"Here's everything wrong" is 56 minutes long. Yeah, that sounds about right.
Wait did I just watch that full hour?! Haha holy crap I didn’t expect that. It didn’t feel like an hour! Feels like I can watch Jared’s infectious enthusiasm talk all day, especially with the smooth editing by Dwayne/Duane the editor!
I've always had a soft spot for these.
Back then, my favorite sister's husband had one and was constantly tinkering with it. Basically had the most powerful version of the E30 you could buy without paying for the M3.
Over here you could get what was known as a JPS Special, which was a modified 323, with factory warranty, the rarest option was a 2.7 stroker, it almost doubled the price from a stock 323, I found & purchased one with all the upgrades a few years ago, well worth it, Rj in Oz
Man; Motor mount guy: I can’t imagine trying to process international shipments while tanks are invading your country.
Great video! I love these mega eps. I doubt that my comment will be seen but I really would love to see a nicely done wide body on this car, I think it would look sick! Keep up the good work Jared and can't wait to see more of this one!
That angle is crazy. What a cool build and love the video man. Keep up the hard work!
This episode should be called, "Getting janky with Jared." Shifter needs two people to install? No problem! We have zip ties! Exhaust manifold not quite right? Oh, no worries, we'll just cut here and...
Well it's not a road car anymore, it's a drift pig - no point in being fussy with it, it's just going to end up stacked into a wall or some other immovable object at some point and then stripped for parts & off to the metal recyclers.
@@Beer_Dad1975 sadly you are correct. I love the car but would never fix it right if a few zip ties will fix it. Unless I was trying to break the bank and fix everything properly. Then I wouldn't be hooning it around.
You really knocked this one out of the park Jared! This car has slowly become one of my favorite Car Trek vehicles..
posting this as a 1 hour episode is so much more enjoyable to watch than a dozen 10 minute updates.
This was my favorite format you have ever done. We got to see everything and you edited it perfectly !!!!!!!!!
I have so much respect for people like you and Tavarish, not just your technical skill and your incredible work ethic, but the real creativity you show in problem-solving and vision for what you want to accomplish. You really are a car guy's Car Guy. Keep up the great work!
So pumped for this been waiting for you to do a drift build , I love how u kept it simple to we’re a average jo could do it 💯💯 can’t wait to see u shred and soon enough hopefully a comp 💯🤙💨
Your content is the best! I appreciate that you don't take short-cuts when it comes to getting a car sorted. Looking forward to your next video.
Love to see you working on the E30 as i am building one myself from the ground up :D Please keep us updated on the project!! Wrench every day
man i love this car, thank you sooo much for giving it the new breath of life it absolutely deserved! the m60 v8 is such a fun motor!
Stoked to see the progress. Glad to see you doing your research and respecting the car and the community per se. Too many people get a Bimmer and immediately put a 2j or an LS because GERMAN CAR BAD, without really understanding what these cars are actually about, MCM…
Can’t wait to see this thing out and about.
Glad to see you now have your own channel! I love all these guys. Great job picking up the BMW!
I love this channel man! It way more at the speed of the home doer’s and the pro wrench turners. It’s down to earth and no sugar coated content. Extremely relatable and entertaining!!!
I love it Jerad. I love that this is truly a budget friendly channel. Well atleast the site B is lol. But this is awesome that your using these parts I believe you'll tell us honestly what you think about them
The epilepsy warning is a nice touch , thank you very much. Good job on the video , loved it!!!
This build is cool, anxious to see the footage. 😃 Hey, Jared and I use the same shop towels. They clean quite well, I use them all over the house.
Top tip with cooling fans.. installing two smaller fans that can be wired and or programmed to run at variable speeds can be twice as efficient as a single large one.. when cooling is critical.. surface area is paramount.
Thanks Jared for taking on this huge pile of ...., Always had a soft spot for these older BMW's, I've got a strange 323 myself, JPS special, 2.7ltr stroker with brake & suspension upgrades from an Australian race team, all the stuff on this was factory warrantied, it's a nice little car, Rj in Oz
I love seeing you give this car the care it deserves. You are super knowledgeable. Enjoy the car!
Great video. Glad you got the BMW. Good to see the repairs done right. The one thing I appreciated most was the epilepsy warning. My wife had epilepsy and would occasionally have problems with movies and television shows. Thank you. Keep on making questionable choices and we'll see you next time.
Great video! Nice to see you working on an E30
This guy needs his own TV show! He definitely has it! I love your Channel and Content! You deserve everything bud!
Jared: this is the kind of content I love to see from you and Freddy
Great job!!
GREAT episode. Thank you for the great content.
I just removed a set of those Maxspeed coil overs. The did work for 3 years before the came apart. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome build Jered. I hope it is all that you want it to be! It's a neat looking build.
As a huge fan of you and car wizard, this video had me rolling. Also, can’t wait sit to see you at Cletus and cars Bristol!
So much content in a single video, awesome!
Watching until the end waiting for the startup to hear the exhaust only to be left wanting. Jared you failed me. Looking good though, can't wait to see how the challenge goes
Amazing episode from JP. Quite a comprehensive episode.
It’s looking 👌. Really nice car!! I think this is the best one you present on the show
I would've used silicone to hold it in place. Keep it sealed. Love the bellhousing "inspection hole"
Didn't know you had a channel until you posted that you bought this, subbed instantly. Love seeing you on the other channels, definitely super cool to see what you yourself have cooking up!
Welcome to the Wrench family! Great to have you onboard! -Editor Duane
Came for the BMW.. left with a parakeet
Very nice work Jared!! I've learned a lot today. How about M3 style body kit?
Great work on the BMW Jared, hope it goes freaking awesome on the drift track, love the wheels and tyres 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🦘🦘🦘🦘Cheers from Melbourne Australia
What a great episode; smiles all 'round here!
Mane this content was great! Thanks Jared!
Awezome work Jared. Well done young sir!
Awesome job Jared!
Amazing job! This felt like putting together a dream build in FORZA, but we get to see all the details, and go drifting.
You've done the right thing by adding the extended steering kit . This car is so cool can't wait to see it drifting
"$1000 will get him where he needs to be" - Car Wizard, the question is, where does he need to be?
The repair shop around the corner probably ☺️
the junkyard....
Just far enough to be out of his sight 😅
That "parakeet" search yielded an interesting easter egg....lol.
Love the e30 content .... even without it's underrated M20 engine.
Just needs some fender flares to get those wheel wells looking good. Awesome build.
well done for all your hard work. good job.
This is going to seem like an odd comment, but I think I know why the cooling fan bearings failed. In college, one of the courses I took was on computer hardware diagnostics and repair. One of the tips/tricks we were taught was about “fan over speed damage.”
The fans are designed to work at a specific RPM, or range of RPMs. When you clean computers, a common tool is a compressed air can. We were instructed to put a toothpick, or some other small, non-conductive material into the fan blades to keep the compressed air from spinning the fan faster than designed.
My thought is that by putting the fan in front of the radiator, the amount of airflow going through the fan might be faster than what would occur if it were behind the radiator. The increased airflow might be over spinning the fan and wrecking the bearings.
Just a thought.
I didn't know that about PC fans...I'll have to keep that in mind for the future.
Funny story, though: I picked up a VERY cheap case fan for a build once. The thing didn't even have a proper fan header; it ran on a four-pin Molex connector, plugged right into the PSU. I was blowing the case out one day, took the fan out of the case, blew air through the fan blades...and the LEDs powered up, without it even being plugged into anything.
maybe upgrade the diff, i believe it has the small diff... the 318, 320 168mm diff. upgrade to a 188mm or the bigger 210 type . lots to choose from in the bimmer parts bin.
and i would move the battery to the rear for better weight distribution.
cool car and build
Awesome build, that car looks good and seems like a lot of fun.
What a build again! Good job done
Nice progress - I was hoping to hear the new exhaust!
Hi Jared nice video 📹 and workmanship!!!!😮😊
very nice result and looking forward to the "race"
At 3:03 the bird Tyler hit is on the website under parakeet medium bird cage that's hilarious 😂 🤣 Nice little nugget there 😄
Love this content...but the best part of this video are the Wizard cameos :)
Great content as always
Dude,,,,, YOU are a mechanic!!!
Awesome work.
Can we appreciate the editing aswell, man i cracked up so much with the wizard popups looool Excellent job Jared btw Streten would be amazed, shout out to M539!
Thanks Anon! You’re my favorite subscriber today :) -Editor Duane
SO MUCH awesome content! Fantastic editing…. 👍
Thanks TF. Always nice to be appreciated :) -Editor Duane
Really loving the music in the last few episodes. Any chance you could list them in the episode notes?
Jared great video. really enjoyed your journey in the BMW drift car. wide body please
The fan you took off was indeed a pusher fan, original to the car. Only it was merely an auxiliary fan for the AC system (mounted on the condenser). NOT intended to be the only means of cooling. Works OK on an M20 in double digit weather when the clutch fan inevitably fails, certainly not enough for the v8 stuff in that thing.
I'm no E30 expert, but the fact that the battery is under the hood rather than in the trunk leads me to believe this was probably a 318i originally. I believe all the 6 cylinder models came with the battery in the trunk for weight distribution purposes, which rules out everything but the 316 and 318 models, of which the 318 was more common.
I'd love to see a proper widebody on this rig just to see how you go about fitting it. I wish my project car budget was bigger than "look at it sitting in the yard for another month"...But then wouldn't we all!
Nice Angle, also... BMW V8 sounds BOSS!
The way those tie rods are pointing to the sky, the bump steer is going to be insane.
Thank you for making this long form episode
Yo jared love the music so relaxing mate
I know the drill too well. I got an e30 project car with an M50 motor inside. everything was a disaster, starting with the engine. First, it had an open 4.1:1 diff, and a bad gearbox. I did the engine, swopped the gearbox and put a diff from an old 7-series (3.45:1 limited slip) in it. the problem was that there was no bracket to mount to the body. Made a bracket, fitted widened Motorsport rims with fat tires, and put flares on the fenders. What it all boils down to, is that it looks easy to build a nice, quick e30, but the more you do, the more you want to do. It costs a fair bit of money eventually as well, but the rewards are great when you finish. Good going, Jared.
Went to drift school now you are hooked lol That's cool have fun with it.
You really can't complain, what you paid for it and probably what you invested. You got a very unique, fun one of a kind drift car cheap! Love it. Have fun
Jared!!!!!!! :D bro!!!!!! That exhaust looks TOTALLY BAD ASS!!!!!!!! I bet she really sings now! Haha! Love love love the wheel’s too!
17:02 😅 I love these guys. Like a big 'ole family
Solid fab work! I think one grand would have been a cheap route, but to do it right takes more effort.
At 3:03 of the video, when scrolling down the list to see parakeet search results, someone posted Hoovie's Dead Bird for sale! Nicely done, Mr. Editor of Jared's videos!
Happy you noticed! You’ve got an exceptionally good eye :) -Editor Duane
@@decaharms I am not one of those guys who tears apart every video I watch, but I saw it out of the corner of my eye, and said to myself, "No they didn't." Rewound and saw. "Yes they did!" You're good. Going to have to keep both eyes open for other little easter dead birds eggs!
@@peterbennett7983 Cool. I try to insert easter eggs in as often as I can. It's kind of fun to see who catches them :)
One of my favorite episodes 💯
you did an awesome job an it looks great!
I, along with everyone else. Am glad Jarred took over on this channel……great job and can’t wait for drift day….👍👍
Loved the running gag... Also, Jared is a fan of a fan.
Thanks for the video and stay ✌️.
