The implications are profound. Are relationships for dumb people? And, must the INFJ have a compartmentalized dumbness in order to relate? * Proceeds to counsel someone * "Give me a sec to put on my dumbthinking cap". Lol.. dumbthink
Love your videos. INFJ's have the rare ability to utilize both sides of their brains - the logical and creative. Not many have that ability. SO you are correct the emotional intelligence is high but also is the logical intelligence.
Whew, that is very interesting and confirming for me. I'm an artist and writer, but I also at one point had a part time accounting job and I liked it! Weird. I love art but I also love science, especially physics. I'm extremely logical and cursed with an abundance of common sense (which IS a curse these days) but I talk to nature and it responds, I have had OBEs and "visitations" from the other side...It's a real interesting mix. I don't think we fit into any box.
I didn’t get good grades because I didn’t try in school. I didn’t like it at all. Always felt uncomfortable and weirder than the other people so I just stayed quiet and lived in my head thinking of what ifs and what could be of the universe.
I used to read A LOT, but nowadays, not so much, and though I appreciate the calmness and serenity or excitement of reading, I always have a hard time starting a book, always finding something else better to do instead. It happens frequently however that I spend many hours a day on Wikipedia, connecting things together, and learning new stuff. Maybe I'll come back to reading when my life finally stabilizes.
Same, I have so many books stacked and I start off reading with good intentions… These days I prefer listening to podcasts / videos so I can multitask, so I guess that’s a win-win as I’m still getting the knowledge 💪😁
Nah, I don't have a book collection. I do own a handful of them though. Ever since the kids came and a few life changes, I would stick to audio books nowadays. However, I do still read, like online articles, (Wikipedia) also books that has information about things I love and want to improve. I would buy them outright and study it.
I think that RUclips videos and podcasts are other forms of "reading" nowadays for INFJs. It's all about learning information regardless of the format. I'd have put that in the video if I'd thought of it!
"...a wide variety of topics..." So, my counselor asked me what my two favorite magazines were [back in the day] and without missing a beat I said, "'Teatime' and 'Tactical Weapons'". [He asked...]
Subject we interest on for “light reading” or during “rest hour” 👽: 1. War(& who profit from it) 2. Human Behaviour (included a single blink of your eyes ) 3. Religion (study all religion to the core , for the purpose of knowledge & truth what should i prepare for here afterlife, this & that 😂 ) 4. Human Behavior in Organisation or social (unconsciously observe you 🤪) 5.Politic & economic. (Always read between the line 😎) 6. Investment and the trend .. becoz trend is ur friend until its bend. ( I’m certified technical analyst 😆 ***p/s the INFJ love to learn until certifed or get the professional level in topic they love. 😂 The books is our greatest treasure our “supplement” for the brain (we never run out of new book, always in stock🤣)
Books! I have well over a thousand crammed into book shelves and upturned crates made into book cases, not forgetting piles of books on tables, on the fridge freezer, beneath the hall table and piling up on the living room floor, lol. I read on average at least 2 books a week, a fiction and non-fiction, plus lots of research online. I also have a MENSA IQ and yet most people treat me as if I'm thick. My daughter-in-law says it's because I'm too nice!!! How weird is that. I think it's because I find it difficult to express myself though, and I'm much better at writing than talking.
It's entertaining when someone assumes they're more intelligent than I am.(The nice, quiet one.) Especially if I say or do something to encourage their delusion😊. Conversely, I've always taken care to set parameters on my vocabulary so as not to call attention to myself or create discomfort for others. I've just never been able to control my reading habit, books are my friends, my teachers, my guides, my escape, portals to immersion in other spaces of existance. Attempting to downsize the amount of books in my living space seems to have been an ongoing theme for the past few decades.
@@amyinalabama7529 Yes, I've always been the quiet one, on the edge of the crowd looking in, but whenever I've ventured an opinion I've been shouted down for it. Later on - much later - I realised that they weren't really my friends at all so now although I still tend to be quiet I don't feel shame in having an opinion. :)
@@cmoberg2036 Wow, that's a lot! What I do is every now and then I have a purge of a few books that I know I'm not going to read again but I always buy a lot more to compensate, lol. To save money I use an online book shop called World of Books (now known just as WoB). They collect second hand books and library rejects, etc, to sell them on for charity, and also some new books, and they have a humungous amount of books at decent prices. I love Sci-fi for most of my fiction reading and I can never get through their SF lists - the most I've managed is 40 pages, which has kept me looking for a good hour or two - and it seems never ending. It's a really good place to look. :)
@@DevonExplorer My opinion is not always right, but it's always right for me. It took me years to learn many other people are unable to tolerate differences in opinion. In my mind one is not right and the other wrong, they're just different. I'm totally cool with that level of acceptance and most others haven't shown the ability to extend the same acceptance in return. I remind myself it's not my job to make people like me and my opinion is valid because it's my opinion. Wish I could have realized that at 25 instead of 50, but better than never. Issues like that have made me the least intelligent smart person on the planet, lol. Best wishes on your journey!
My grades were not great in high school and college. But then I went to grad school in engineering and nearly aced every single class (because I wanted to). I don't think I'm that smart though. I just think about things longer than most people.
I have just watched the first few minutes of this video. I am going to send you a bill for my chiropractor. I fell out of my chair LAUGHING again (the news desk 😍). Kidding aside, you have no idea how much I needed this message today. I am not sure you will cover this nugget (but anticipate that you will): after a response has been organized and carried through AFTER an INJF has assigned proper attributions, the INJF ALWAYS goes through a grueling self-doubt period. The most ruthless adversary of an INJF is...ta da!...himself/herself.
As an INFJ I have always felt like I am the most intelligent amongst the crowd even tho some people looked down on me because they couldn't fathom my level of logical thinking and reason
Yes, I think we tend to be far less polarized. If you don’t take a side and think reasonably you’re really an even greater enemy than someone who takes the opposing viewpoint because you’re not playing the game. People have a hard time processing that.
So it’s not genetics. My 1st IQ test was in grade school, and I had to take another one at a local college. In the gifted program, I still annoyed my classmates. Teachers loved me; peers hated me. They accused me of being a witch and casting spells to achieve success. Now my coworkers ask me to “work my magic” on their projects, and some call me “Lieutenant Data,” which I like. I’m told I can be “intimidating” even though most people think I’m a sweetheart. I’ve been ostracized for as long as I can remember. Jay, how do we deal with haters when we’re just doing our best?
Keep pushing through them and connect with those who are worthwhile and see the good in you. If they are being haters then keep them in your life only as much as you have to. Continue being you, because that's all you can be. Stay strong! Jay
I don’t know what to say... thank God I found your videos. Lived most my life trying to fit in, because when I dared to be me, I was dismissed as having an overactive imagination, so dramatic, or that I “read too much into things”, was too emotional, needed to be more logical, and on and on. It’s been one tough life. I started finding my voice little by little at last, and now I revel in understanding how uniquely blessed I am. Thank you for providing validation to this magnificent way of being. I’m home.
When people graduate from school, college, university they tend to have this false sense of security in that they know everything to succeed, it is only when problems arise that they have to learn to overcome them. This happens from what I have seen as a reactionary manner, some logic but mostly autonomous via feeling. As an INFJ I never stop learning or questioning, to do so is a slow boring death.
I used to think INTJs or INTPs would be the smartest. Upon research online it's INTJ and INFJ. What you said about INFJs being curious is true I've even been told I ask questions too much or question things a lot.
I really enjoy you and your vids. I live rural and have never met another INFJ in person. I can imagine how fun it would be. Thank you for your channel.
Wow that pattern recognition with people is something I’ve tried to explaining to people in the past. I’ve always described it as my brain runs algorithms against you and everything you say, do and act and I measure that against everything anyone has ever done that I have met. And I do that all the time for every person I interact with haha.
Piles of books everywhere. Although since I am homeschooling most of my books we read together. I listen to podcasts all day while working. I am super into listening to trials. Fascinating.
I read 4-5 books "simultaneously" - I mean in the same time ;) depends on my mood ;). I like to learn new things like crazy and some times it my looks like I am inconsistant but whet I am "good in something" I crave to find something new to learn about 🤔
My best thinking time tends to be when I'm hand-milking my cows. Very often a completed idea reveals itself to me at this time. I just throw the basic idea into my brain and it does the rest. As for books- the last novel I read was for English Literature at school, which I took 2 years early. Since then I've amassed a huge library on all manner of topics. Rare visitors to my house are left confused as to what kind of person I am if they see my book collection. The latest acquisition, a gift from my wife and soulmate, was all 30 Volumes of Encyclopaedia Britannica (1975 Edition) in mint condition. They have never even been opened! She got me this gift because as a child we had a set in our house and I've told how much I loved them.
That is a great gift! I remember looking at the World Books when I was 3-4 years old. I loved them. I learned about snakes, wasps, sharks, all kinds of stuff. Thanks for the comment! Jay
"Hand-milking my cows" (sigh). I love it. I'm a lifelong primitive farmgal. I used to sit on the floor, as a little girl, and browse through the two sets of Encyclopedias & an annual world events publication my parents had purchased. Absolutely kept me entertained for hours.
@@INFJcircle When I was 11 a salesman knocked the front door. He was selling those encyclopaedias. My mum was hanging washing out the back, so I let him in! My mum had a fright when she saw a strange man sitting in the living room but calmed down when I explained everything. After a second visit by the salesman my dad agreed to buy them, on a monthly basis. It took 1 year to pay for them and many years later my dad told me it was well worth it just for the peace and quiet it brought to the house! When my dad died 12 years ago I got his pocket watch and my brother got the encyclopaedias. Knowing my fondness for those books my wife found a replacement set for my 60th- hence the 1975 edition. I'm a bit too old to lay on the floor reading them these days but can't wait to spend time with my grandkids as we discover a World of knowledge..the old way!
@@Bette-of7cm I understand completely. As a boy I did the same thing! Those books are partly to blame for my transition from the hustle and bustle of a large English town to the tranquillity of rural Ireland and the quiet life. Our two Jersey cows, called Beatrice and Toffee and are the font of fertility and the goodness that abounds here. Happy reading!
I don't see dead people, but I feel them send messages that come as a sudden urge or point of clarity when they die but before they move into the light, sometimes even if I don't know them but they're important to me. I bet a whole bunch of others here have similar experiences.
Further recent evidence of this- I asked my 2 closest fellow INFJ friends if they consciously see DMT visions sometimes just before falling asleep, and showed them a link to a simulation video, and both said yes, one even gets it on occasion during the day when relaxed. We even went over the different deities. None of us have ever done it artificially/the illegal way and yet we're all quite well versed in the effects of the substance. Our kind is largely defined by our third eyes always being open, especially if we avoid ingesting fluoride. No reason play make believe like it isn't so and try to reduce it down to logic.
I took personality twice years apart and got infj. The first time i was much younger and didnt think much of it. Second time, i finally understood that im not a weirdo and there are others like me...i start reading many books but have a hard time finishing before i start another. I make a list of interesting words i find while reading which leads me into a search of their meaning, which eventually leads me into a rabbit hole of other interesting information. I am an information junkie.
I certainly am a voracious reader. I read instead of watching TV or movies. I can read a 300-page novel in a day. If it's really good, I'll slow down to savor it over a couple of days. That's why I can't understand why anyone would buy hard-back novels. I guess if it takes you weeks or months to read it, you feel like you got your money's worth? I'd go broke and run out of shelf space! Learning isn't a hobby, it's a need, like breathing and eating. For some reason, in fifth grade, the school administered an IQ test. I can't remember if it was everyone or just me. They called my parents in and highly suggested they place me in a boarding school for the gifted. They didn't, probably because they couldn't afford it. But that explains why school was so boring and why I required a constant stack of library books to feed my voracious curiosity. I literally read through encyclopedias! (I'm 65. We didn't have internet then.)
Your twin here. I am 73. MUST have a pile of books to hand and must research everything which grabs my attention. We are lifelong learners and can't understand why other people are not. .
Yeah, books are great. I need to put my pile of books in order. lol. INFJs just love learning! I do believe INFJs have a tendency toward high IQ as well (statistics say so also).
I see your twin is already here, so I must be your triplet! Started reading at 3, skipped 5th grade and was called in at the end of 8th grade and told I'd be skipping high school entirely. Bureaucrat refused to sign off on that one though, darn it all. I'm an old fart too, and glad we didn't have Internet back then. I felt like I was getting away with something to hide a book and a flashlight under the covers and read late at night.
This video lift me up again. Thank you for INFJ Circle for making me realize what i had, because honestly i often feeling insecure about my own skills.😅
I wish I had enough extra free time to read actual books, but instead I choose to spend my time learning via RUclips, podcasts and online reading/articles while I'm busy. The only time I'm not reading with the intent to learn or self-improve... is when I'm out in nature and have no internet access. LOL
I think this is a modern form of reading. Podcasts, videos, and audiobooks count IMO, all our ways of consuming information. thanks for the comment! Jay
@@INFJcircle very true - I feel the same way. I am very intentional about my content comsumption too - I often choose informational videos over just entertainment. It's great when those overlap such as with your videos. Thanks for making great content!
6:52 Oh, I am glad that this is my strength as INFJ (and Austic person) and I relate to it so much that I laugh so hard while saying aloud "That's me with unmanned spacecraft! That's me with Ohsumi!" (Context: Ohsumi is the first Japanese spacecraft, if anyone is curious) and only yesterday I realized that I questioned why it seems like I predicts what happen this year and my anexity rises... Turned out that is a INFJ trait.
For me, learning is almost like breathing to live. And to survive from low vibrational people and enjoying life like in heaven. Endless learning helps me accept all-including myself and difficult people and what’s happening in my journey on Earth as human being. We all teach and learn through experience and knowledge. I decided to appreciate all and accept all. I choose to create my inner world beautiful in high vibrations. That actually makes my outer world easier and more peaceful. It’s been a long road to find me who I am. As INFJ-A, I finally found me who has all in me. No more searching for love, validation,or acceptance from others. Thank you for making INFJ videos for all INFJ who must ask so much questions that most of people don’t interest.
I thank my lucky stars every day for that priceless plastic card in my handbag...the library card! My "habit" would bring about financial ruin if I had to buy all the books I read. Electronic gadgets do not "do it" for me. Books! The way they smell, the way the pages feel, the excitement of new words and new ideas. No topic is off limits. I even take notes while reading. Reading is truly my drug of choice. Hope everyone has a happy day. Take care.
Tbh i thought I was crazy and not in a good way my whole childhood, but since doing the Myers Briggs personality type and watching a a few videos of yours is make me feel so much better and more normal about myself and who I em!
Im dyslexic and INFJ i thought i was dumb and i still do due to school when i got older and took iq tests i was confused i did well even a bit above average cuz my dyslexia and how the school system works doea not teacher well to deslexia
I understand this, but now that you are older hopefully you know you just thought differently. Nothing to do with intelligence! Thanks for the comment! Jay
Me too……. and slow….. Luckily twenty years ago I met a very bright friend and he was the first person to tell me continuously how bright I was and that speed does not equal intelligence. Then I discovered ‘Higher Thinking’ eg critical thought and problem solving and it was oh thats me! I love YT and Wiki Im guessing a group of us could solve the worlds problems quite easy……. I so disliked reading and essay writing on stuff im not interested in Go well your not alone
I guess I am not the only INFJ whose curiosity triumphed over their guilt. Having clicked upon a video, well aware that it would surely stroke my ego. An ego I tend to struggle with and repress. I am well aware that my need to understand, and to be understood, tends to be overwhelming for most. I enjoy a long swim in deep waters. This, too, often makes those around myself feel less than, despite my encouragements. I often desire the ability to truly reveal my heart, for my intentions wouldn't be questioned so. Alas, such a heart has grown colder with the passing of years. My walls of fear tower around me, threatening to pierce the perpetual storm that hangs above. As for my mind, given that I find the topic engaging, or question intriguing, I hold little sway over it's processes. I draw upon my unconscious reservoirs of knowledge, each contributing seemingly divergent topics. Somehow, my subconscious begins mixing a plethora of concoctions, each new chemical bond reinforcing the next, culminating in an elixir. My subconscious offers it up to my mind's eye. With bated breath, I consciously imbibe it. I only truly become privy to the idea in it's entirety when the effects wear off and I return to my silent disposition. I eagerly analyze those whom which I shared my newly formulated drink with. A brief reflection allows me to explore a newly found understanding of the patterns connecting everything around us. A daring sense of pride washes over me. Momentarily, I feel connected to something greater than myself. However, though good intentioned, their praise, or adoration of the idea swiftly returns me to the mundane world, where I reengage with my struggle with imposters syndrome. After all, was it really my idea? I apologize for my ramblings. Perhaps you might relate. I appreciate you taking the time to read my comment. Take care and God bless. ✝️
This must be the funniest video about INFJs I have seen in recent years! 😂 I think these are funny examples and also some are very accurate observations about our traits ❤ I admit to being an INFJ. I don't have the highest IQ but I do have an intuition. Thank you so much for this video 😊 It has definitely brightened my day!
I laughed when you mentioned getting our best ideas in the shower! I actually put a white board in the shower after I "lost" a fabulous project idea once I turned the water off! Love your videos.
lol yeah I see things coming from so far in the past that when it finally happens, I forgot it was gonna happen. So when I watch it happening it feels like Deja vu.
When you’re off your game, say having a few too many drinks, it can really sting with your decision making. But taking that edge off becomes important when you’re always actively thinking and feeling.
Any other dyslexic INFJs out there? Some of the clues are you can't tell your left from your right, you may be a very slow reader, you have trouble alphabetizing, difficulty with working memory, etc. That's not saying that you can't do these things it's just that you have to stop and think about it, it's not second instinct for you. I'm just wondering because there are a lot of traits that overlap between dyslexics and INFJs, like being a network rather than linear thinker, seeing the big picture, and having high emotional intelligence.
This is why a lot of INFJs are on the spectrum. We function with pattern recognition and collections of energy shifts that we can understand on an intuitive level. But lexical based smarts? nope. Memorizing things with ease? nope.
I'm slightly dyslexic (my spelling is atrocious), I have terrible short term memory, but good long term. I've recently found out that I was the family scape goat.
@@joejoejoejoejoejoe4391 I forgot to list spelling. And just typing a simple paragraph in the comment section takes me at least 3 times the amount of time it takes most other people and twice the effort. And try as I will to proof read, I still make embarrassing mistakes. I've had to send out a monthly email receipt for ten years, I misspell 'receipt' every damn time. Literally every time. Only in the last couple of months have I consciously focused effort on spelling it right the first time. Ugg
Jay, check out The Mindset Mentor (Rob Dial). His podcasts are so stimulating to the INFJ mind. Not sure if he's INFJ but he seems to balance logic and emotion.
This channel is very therapeutic! I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that being an INFJ can be challenging. However, the message in this video was both helpful and uplifting. Thank you! Incidentally, I never have been a very good performer in a formal classroom situation, especially in high school. Usually I would get bored and my mind would wander off to better places. Fortunately in my case I am a self-study, and like you say, if something intrigues me it's down the rabbit hole i go!
Constantly seeking patterns. Looking at life as a repeating cycle. Past illustrates future. It’s not a very welcome trait. Most prefer to look away. My friends are few, but appreciate my odd style. Thanks for this site.
As an INFJ, Ti is our tertiary function, meaning it's less developed compared to other functions. Just because we have introverted thinking doesn’t mean we use both sides of the brain equally or that we're the smartest type. With Ti as our tertiary function and Se as our inferior function, we often find it difficult to deal with reality. We struggle with standardized education systems because we prefer to do things in our own way, guided by our Ti with Ni visions.
It is great being here, listening to your great videos and sharing with the comments and others like ourselves. I have always predicted things but never knew where this ability came from, even to spoiling films for others as I can always work out the plot almost immediately.. I agree with everything you say. So reassuring to "belong" at last.
Whenever I had access to a subject matter expert and they let me pepper them with questions... I acquired a huge understanding of a topic super quickly 😂
I couldn't agree more, sadly the world is pretty dark so we got to be humble for those who actually would benefit from it and ignore those who can take advantage of it.
Why? You don't like it when we're humble either. And why does that bother you? My response would be to be better, but then I like a challenge. Be yourselves INFJs!!!
Huh uh, “…INFJ’s understand the big picture & have a helicopter view of life.” I have never heard anyone relate to the “helicopter view.” And, it bugs the heck outta me when I used to receive “piecemeal” tasks without knowing what the project or ultimate goal is. However, I always say that I can understand and navigate any city if I could only see it from above, like a bird, or a helicopter, lol. I’ve only been a sub for a short while, but I really enjoy the giggles you so delightfully share with us. Keep up your authentic content❣️
All so true. I am definitely into reading and learning. I read an average of 40 books a year, mostly nonfiction. And for the rare times I read fiction, I pick one that teaches me something. Reading is not just for entertainment. When I learn a new topic, I read and watch everything I can on the topic. Like learning about MBTI personalities, especially INFJ. It's 100% or nothing.
I am not actually a big book reader! I can spend hours on Wikipedia though or reading up on some obscure thing I'm trying to learn or new skill I'm trying to develop. I can't shut off the curiosity!
I should’ve mentioned this in the video, podcasts, audiobooks, educational RUclips videos, Wikipedia, all of these count in place of or in addition to reading in my opinion. They are all just forms of learning. Thank you for your comment and I should’ve clarified that in the video!
While in middle school in the 70's I took an I.Q exam, and a week later, called into the Principal office with my mother to talk about my scores. You see, at the time I had a reputation as a sarcastic student with a quick wit. The topic of conversation, Why I was not performing well in certain subjects but excel in others, and now it was confirmed, I was well above average. My mom walked away with a Big smile on her face once confronted with my results. I took the test again just for myself and my mom, and eked out additional 10 more points. I was an IFNJ in the making! Love your content, keep up the good work Sir!!
Had a similar experience in grade school. Apparently my mom was warned not tell me of my scores. But eventually , with her subtle hints and my intuition, I figured it out. I chose not to pursue a pathway to "higher" education and went to Vocational Technical high school. (trade school)...No regrets, but sometimes I do wonder where another path would have taken me.
Infj female with lupus and Asperger's with IQ at 6 years old beyond what most adults achieve. I'm now 40 years old, divorced (married a Narc who emptied bank and left me and kid for dead....then circled back for the kid to make his mom happy and me miserable.) I don't care any more how smart or talented or renaissance woman people think I am. In my 40 years I have learned that INFJ has no place in this world. Our career interests are dead end or low profit...or lead to utter and absolute BURN OUT because NO ONE pours back into us what we put into them. We are misplaced, misunderstood, utterly alone in mind, occupied in person with narcissists, burned out, failing at absolutely everything we put our mind or hearts to....I have zero friends (loads of acquaintances but no one to help when I truly need). I give and give and give like an endless tit of emotion and wisdom...I live in a small hick town so it doesn't matter how smart I am. I'm financially destitute barely making it from pay to pay so I cant move. My washer is broken and it's not even mine and landlord won't fix it. Fridge is on its way out. Mom has Parkinson's and is dying. Work sucks. Bills are due and I'm broke. My health is always barely stable. I just lost my first love after being divorced 10 years...he just up and ghosted. I've bought a car 5 years ago with a narcissist friend who I didn't know was Narc and Bipolar...now they're using this car that I can't refinance ( oh God I tried!) to torment me and keep me under their thumb no matter how hard I try to leave. I just sit and stare at the walls for hours and pray and cry...
Hey! You have friends HERE, you are NOT alone or defeated, and well, just FLUSH the past and I know it's hard and this will probably piss you off, but I am in a similar boat and I can tell you that if you just TRY to be grateful for what you DO have - life will get better. I promise you. It works. Sending hugs and love. 🙏❤
Your description of INFJ in this video fits pretty much the scanner type by Barbara Sher. I've read some books from her (and yes, also many others) ;-) Learning is still associated with reading books. I want to share two other great possibilities: 1) Meditation 2) Learning by Doing I've received so many important insights just by meditating, it's incredible. Doing things, trying, failing, starting all over is a great way of learning and can be a lot of fun. I've done around 20 types of sports intensively and worked in many different roles and companies. Always up for something new (currently video editing). Great community here btw! Love reading the other comments as well, so many like minded people, that's great!
Hey there Jay, I listen to a ton of Audible Books, too, have and a high IQ and a supernatural EQ ability! I am most certainly a polymath who has a gift for learning (it’s a constant). I can 3D image in my head to achieve creative problem solving, with my eyes closed. The book I read over and over is the Holy Bible which is the most “Wow” book in existence for a Christian like me. I also receive prophetic word from the Lord on the regular, some of which is on my channel. It’s true, we are natural counsellors. I am thankful for having a friend in you through your fun and accurate content and company! Your friend, Jae 😊📖🇦🇺

I'm extremely logical and cursed with an abundance of common sense (which IS a curse these days) but I talk to nature and it responds, I have had OBEs and "visitations" from the other side...It's a real interesting mix. I don't think we fit into any box.
Eq plus iq is a powerful combination
Think of all the evil we could do if not INFJs.
Sure is.
Jay
Would that equal EIQ2? I want a T-shirt....long-sleeve, orange.
I didn’t get good grades because I didn’t try in school. I didn’t like it at all. Always felt uncomfortable and weirder than the other people so I just stayed quiet and lived in my head thinking of what ifs and what could be of the universe.
Story of my life I did horrible in school was made fun of for it and now all I want to do is learn on my own 🤓
Totally not me barging in to see what being an INFJ is like

I used to read A LOT, but nowadays, not so much, and though I appreciate the calmness and serenity or excitement of reading, I always have a hard time starting a book, always finding something else better to do instead.
It happens frequently however that I spend many hours a day on Wikipedia, connecting things together, and learning new stuff.
Maybe I'll come back to reading when my life finally stabilizes.
I felt like you were talking about me there!
@@TheOfficialMeChannel Yeah, or other places. What's wrong with wikipedia ?

I have books and love to read, but I have to sit down and work at it! OMG! Nonfiction! #truth!
Yes, so many books! Lol
Last summer I recorded ally books...3679..
It’s fascinating to me how most people are content with mediocrity
My grades were not great in high school and college. But then I went to grad school in engineering and nearly aced every single class (because I wanted to).
I don't think I'm that smart though. I just think about things longer than most people.
I think that's the thing about INFJ's, when we want to master something we excell at it more than other types.
I'm 68 years old and decided to study medicinal herbalism. I wanted to study it when I was younger but life got in the way. Never stop learning!
I have been interested in doing the same. ❤
I love that you’re not giving up on your dreams. Where are you studying herbal medicine?
Well done. I have wanted to do that for years and just recently decided to go for it.
It's true that I love learning, but reading puts me to sleep so I love listening to things on audio while I'm doing things throughout the day.
I get this, I love listening as well. Still counts as reading IMO.
Jay
I love listening too. I can barely get anything done around the house without hearing interesting info shows.
Thanks so much! lol! I agree about the adversary being self. We can be quite the perfectionists. Appreciate the comment :).

Yes, I think we tend to be far less polarized. If you don’t take a side and think reasonably you’re really an even greater enemy than someone who takes the opposing viewpoint because you’re not playing the game. People have a hard time processing that.
Cringe

I’m home.
You weren't made to fit it. You were meant to lead. Lead in what? That's entirely up to you
When people graduate from school, college, university they tend to have this false sense of security in that they know everything to succeed, it is only when problems arise that they have to learn to overcome them. This happens from what I have seen as a reactionary manner, some logic but mostly autonomous via feeling.
As an INFJ I never stop learning or questioning, to do so is a slow boring death.
Totally agree, learning is what gives life life!
Jay
I used to think INTJs or INTPs would be the smartest. Upon research online it's INTJ and INFJ.
What you said about INFJs being curious is true I've even been told I ask questions too much or question things a lot.
Nop its intjs and intps

You are welcome! We are seriously rare so I understand!

Me too
We could start a social group, but then again no one would show up
This channel helped me a lot. Why is it that people consider me extremely smart, but I think that they're over-exaggerating
I like to learn new things like crazy and some times it my looks like I am inconsistant but whet I am "good in something" I crave to find something new to learn about 🤔
Sounds like ADHD

I don't actually read much it takes up time, usually i listen to it's audio book while i'm working. Quite efficient
I buy hard-back books because they feel heavier in my hands, they feel of better quality & they look better piled all over the place ( grin).
Agree!
INFJs and INTPs are the smartest I've met.

Take care.

This completely resonates I wish I heard about this personality test when I was in school. Never met many like minded people. Truly rare. ❤

"What can be better than a desire to learn? NOTHING!" I totally agree. Secondary to that is being respectful to each other, that's all that matters.

But lexical based smarts? nope. Memorizing things with ease? nope.

You just reminded me I need to update my goodreads challenge
It is great being here, listening to your great videos and sharing with the comments and others like ourselves. Yep, I always know who dun it.
Whenever I had access to a subject matter expert and they let me pepper them with questions... I acquired a huge understanding of a topic super quickly 😂
Another INFJ quoted this . " Nah! Dont think of it . I always win " . It's great to be smart . But , it is great to be humble with it .

Never stop learning!

Apparently my mom was warned not
tell me of my scores. But eventually , with her subtle hints and my intuition, I
figured it out. I chose not to pursue a pathway to "higher" education and went
to Vocational Technical high school. (trade school)...No regrets, but sometimes
I do wonder where another path would have taken me.
IFNJ! You have an interesting personality type there.
Vocational is a very good path as well. It's always in demand and useful.
Thank you!
Really thought this would have been nonsense but everything you said has been my personal experience, so I must admit your arguement is sound.😅
Thanks, Jay....back to you, Jay!
Wishing you the best ☀️🙏🏻
All the points you described fit me to a T. I’m an INFJ.
Welcome!
Jay
as an infj, i hate being an infj, its so tiring
I love it. Learn to embrace it, it's a superpower!
Thanks!
Appreciate you my friend! As always, means so much! 🙏
Thank you for cheering me up. I always seem to have to be the bad guy.
I get it!
Well, I can sense the spirit realm. Will it count as a 7th sense... Lots of INFJs here from the long comments.
Clean pineal gland, good diet, and a mastered ego does wonders in that way doesn't it? For us guys full nuts also help.
Yep, got a lot of books that I have already read. Appreciate your work.
Awesome, thank you!
Your description of INFJ in this video fits pretty much the scanner type by Barbara Sher. I've read some books from her (and yes, also many others) ;-)
Learning is still associated with reading books. I want to share two other great possibilities:
1) Meditation
2) Learning by Doing
I've received so many important insights just by meditating, it's incredible.
Thank you for the comment, yes, I think learning by doing is great. No better way to learn than through action. thanks for watching!
Proud To Be A Sigma INFJ🥰

Why are people so mean to infjs
Was gonna say the same bruh =((
Strengthen your discernment. Choose quality people over quantity. Pay attention to red flags. If something doesn’t feel right, it is not right. Peace and harmony❤️
Because they think we are pushovers. But we are not. 😈

I have decided To live out the rest of my life following my intuition faithfully!! To the letter...
This should be interesting 😄
My book shelf is bowed by the weight of my books. Just received another today. Seneca. Just to join a book club conversation.
Jay what hardware do you use for your sound recording and what software do you use to clean your audio recording? The quality sounds fantastic👌
Thank you. I have a pretty nice set up. I have the Shure SM7B running into my Rodecaster Pro 2. I use the Rodecaster Pro's SM7B Preset. Then I run voice isolation (if needed because of my refrigerator running, lol) in Final Cut Pro. That's about it!
