No, these products can't be used on vinyl showers . Can ruin finish. Only 409 and clorox wipes (they don't have bleach in them) anything abrasive will ruin shower

This is something my mom picked up from a house keeper she worked with years ago, so take this with many grains of salt and use caution... But if you really struggle with hard water, clean your shower down really well, get off all the soap scum you can can... then use fiberglass boat polish to seal the walls of your shower. NOT THE FLOOR, do not get the boat polish on the floor, you will slip and hurt yourself. But the fiberglass boat polish really helps prevent hard water build up.

It is always easier to clean a bath or shower immediately after using it. Any residue from that use hasn't had time ro harden, and the steam (actually water vapour) will soften any residue from previous uses.
Wipe down the top ledge of the tub surround. This area tends to collect and hide dust, lint. A perfect haven for bacteria, mold and mildew to grow. As a shower habit, once I get in, get my flexible shower wand and get some stretching in to wipe down. Sometimes nothing. Sometimes more than I guessed.
I use powered dishing detergent and a drill with scrubber. You should try it, it works really fast. Also love the cup/water for rinsing…Thanks so much for your content, has always been real helpful 😊

Although a little demanding, I clean our tub/shower after every use. I first use my hand held shower to rinse debris down the drain. I then clean the rough soap scum from the tub and rinse the cleaner down the drain. Then I drape a dedicated old towel over a sponge mop, wipe the walls and tub dry, polish all chrome dry and the area looks as new as the day it was installed 5 years ago. No more spending hours getting soap scum and water calcium build up off all the surfaces. It takes about 10 minutes to do and I leave the bathroom tidy and clean for the next use and relieved that it’s done.
Wet the dirty side of the glass with a spunge and a bucket of water. Srub with a generous amount of liquid dish soap and the scratchy side of a new dish washing sponge. Rinse the sponge in the bucket as needed. Rinse out the bucket and sponge. And wash off the soap with the soft side of the sponge. Dry the glass when you are done to prevent water stains.
Bar soap is the worst for scum!! I've had my own cleaning business for 11 yrs, & I'd ban any clients from using it if I could!! Detachable shower heads should be a must as well. So much easier & faster for rinsing. No matter how careful I am, using a cuo ir picture somehow always splashes a little!

I use Palmolive dish soap & a green scrubbie pad on the bathtub as the last step before exiting the shower. Skin oils and body lotion residue rinses off right away after using Palmolive dish soap. We have rock hard water in San Diego & wiping down the shower immediately with a cloth towel is a must, even tho I use Rain-X and squeegee the door & walls. ((My bath is the Guest bathroom in mom's house, so it must look pristine 24/7/365.))

That's method wiĺ scratch the shit out of that tub surround..look at it from the side. That's ruined. Then the scratches let more dirt in the grooves of the scratch. Great job
I always use a good carnauba paste wax on all the surfaces EXCEPT the bottom and a third way up. The water and soap scum won’t adhere to the walls. I do this every year and I even do it on every faucet, stainless appliances and other things that will be in contact with water.
I got metal shelves for our shampoo and other products, and it's so much easier now to shower AND to clean the shower. And bottles don't fall on my feet anymore

Shyvonne, once the clothes are dry, have the twins retrieve the clothes from the dryer. They can each use an Aldi bag to bring them upstairs (no bulky laundry basket) to the dining room. This will be something they'll have to do after they learn to use the washing machine. Actually, any of the kids can bring clothes upstairs from the dryer even if it's not their own clothing.
Do you have any videos on how to get stains from a non slip textured base? I've tried baking soda, dawn and hot water also oven cleaner that sat for a few hours on the surface. I didn't have time for it to sit overnight.
No scrubbing required if you heat the vinegar. Fumey AF so wear a mask. One to one dawn dish soap and vinegar. Heat vinegar for a minute and a halr. Spray. Let sit for twenty to thirty (no more!) Wipe the scummiest spots with a sponge. Spray clean. Clear all the spray from the bottle while waiting cause it will gum up!

The best trick: clean the shower wall AFTER you shower and BEFORE you get out with a SEPARATE washcloth and dawn dish soap. This way the shower isnt a big chore to clean because it doesn't get a chance to get super dirty. I learned this from flylady. It has saved me from scrubbing for an hour. 😁

I have found that after I scrub my fiberglass tubs with baking soda if I put car wax on it ( not the nonstick bottom of the tub of course) and let it dry, then use soft cloth to wipe wax off that for many months all I have to do is to squeegee the shower after a shower and the water comes right off and no soap scum builds up for a long time!!!
I use scrubbing bubbles leave it in for 10 mns then use the clorox long handle sponge, rinse out and done! Scrubbing bubbles does all the work for u. I no longer slave myself doing the tub, the glass shower doors are a bit harder because of the in between nooks and crannies 😢

I use liquid body wash , no bar soap., to shower with. Wipe down shower walls and base with an old towel after each use. No scum.

I use Easy Off in the blue can for cleaning greasy kitchen surfaces. Let foam sit for 5 to 10 minutes, then wipe with wet cloth.

I don't care for that Bar Tender's brand. I went to use Bon Ami - seems to rinse off easier. I too, use one of those "scrubbies" but not too hard.
I do wish I had a drill with a brush at its end - such a great idea!

Shyvonne, once the clothes are dry, have the twins retrieve the clothes from the dryer. They can each use an Aldi bag to bring them upstairs (no bulky laundry basket) to the dining room. This will be something they'll have to do after they learn to use the washing machine. Actually, any of the kids can bring clothes upstairs from the dryer even if it's not their own clothing.

Do you have any videos on how to get stains from a non slip textured base? I've tried baking soda, dawn and hot water also oven cleaner that sat for a few hours on the surface. I didn't have time for it to sit overnight.
No scrubbing required if you heat the vinegar. Fumey AF so wear a mask. One to one dawn dish soap and vinegar. Heat vinegar for a minute and a halr. Spray. Let sit for twenty to thirty (no more!) Wipe the scummiest spots with a sponge. Spray clean. Clear all the spray from the bottle while waiting cause it will gum up!
The drill to clean with is better than you think. Takes one of the worst parts out, the effort and digging your hands into stuff

The best trick: clean the shower wall AFTER you shower and BEFORE you get out with a SEPARATE washcloth and dawn dish soap. This way the shower isnt a big chore to clean because it doesn't get a chance to get super dirty. I learned this from flylady. It has saved me from scrubbing for an hour. 😁

Omg! I didn’t know there are drill scrubbers 😱😱😱😱😱 do you get them at Home Depot? The shower didn’t look that dirty at first but after you scrubbed it looked super dirty 😮
I have found that after I scrub my fiberglass tubs with baking soda if I put car wax on it ( not the nonstick bottom of the tub of course) and let it dry, then use soft cloth to wipe wax off that for many months all I have to do is to squeegee the shower after a shower and the water comes right off and no soap scum builds up for a long time!!!
Is there any way to clean old enamel bath where the surface has become porous and soaks up stains?
What do you do for grout?
I use scrubbing bubbles leave it in for 10 mns then use the clorox long handle sponge, rinse out and done! Scrubbing bubbles does all the work for u. I no longer slave myself doing the tub, the glass shower doors are a bit harder because of the in between nooks and crannies 😢
