Every time quiet gets hurt I'm like "fùck sake quiet you had 1 single job" but when d dog gets hurt I'm like "omg poor baby, call in fire support, get me a killer bee supply drop and a smoke dispersal now!"

Clout CloutClout you dont have to shoot. As soon as she fires without a suppressed weapon, more her to a different attack position and every enemy will be facing at her last known position thus making you a bit invisible to them and once they see you immediately equip the box and have Quite fire again
I usually call the choppers and get grenade launcher ready for those situationd lol

That's how I reacted when Quiet got sniped. It all went swimmingly until I got cheesecaked by three dudes with shotguns. It's not always a good idea to give in to your emotions I guess.

DD's Fulton ability is god-tier. You can set up long chains of extractions and draw enemies to one place before knocking them out. Plus it doesn't even cost you anything. Only drawback is not being able to fulton containers, lol.
You forgot the most important part of the Fulton gear.
It's adorable!
There's also some stupidly cheesy things you can do with the Fulton ability. Guards don't react in a hostile manner to him in this suit as far as I can tell, so you can literally have him extract a prisoner for you provided he can access the area. The same applies to incapacitated guards who are about to be awakened by other guards.

It was tough to film! I made each one of those enemies pay though!
As a rule, I kill any enemy that hurts D-Dog.

This is how you set the difficulty of this game
Go with Quiet: Relax mode
Go with D-Dog: Easy mode
Go with D-Walker: Normal mode
Go with D-horse/Go alone: Hard mode
Go with chicken : I give up mode
Go with Lil Chicken: I suck mode/True free roam mode/Sandbox mode

When I saw d-dog grow up I kinda cried cause it reminded me of my old dog which was a husky also shared some similar features to D-dog.
Fillon the Blank Same here. Like I said on the vid, d-dog reminds me a lot of my dog too which is another reason why he's probably my favourite buddy.
Cornholius Cesar and not the salad It makes me cry when I see him because I had a dog when I was a kid that was half-wolf, his name was Diamond(but I named him D when I was young) and he hung himself.

I heard it would be very challenge on the field since you may have to think about rations, food, medicine or taking of your wound everytime you get hit like the previous titles
@@KABLAMMATS Only some people think about that lol. Many people cal him Kojima god for a reason. Without him directing the plots and ideas for mechanisms, i don't think the series can live up the standard of today's video games - open world, free to customise, build your empire, manage your mother base and soldier... wasting money? Buddy, he managed to put everything upto standard, there are little details to complain.
I've been using D-Dog a lot, and after watching this I realized something. Having him tag and find everything on his own, kind of takes away from the experience for me. When I use him, I move around with confidence because I know where all the enemies are, and it feels too easy. Back when I just had D-Horse, I remember being way more attentive and anxious going through a base, moving more slowly, being way more careful in general. I really like D-Dog, but for me personally, I feel like I shouldn't use him, that I might enjoy the game even more if I don't
Yes, its a rude awakening when you go through the latter 85% of the game with DD by your side then they throw you into the extreme missions with no buddy, you have to kinda learn how to play by yourself again lol.
@@supersolidsnake7772 True, if there was a way to take him along without him marking things, I'd love that. Just a good boi to take along and fetch things for you.
After playing for hundreds and hundreds of hours, now I usually use D-horse instead for the smooth mobility since I usually clean up the entire map in one deployment and I can usually detect where all the enemies are anyways.
@@supersolidsnake7772 underrated comment, a lot of players got upset they lost their easy support, but to me the game really blossomed as I had to use all the subsystems in combat, the enemies, and the world.
@@musicaloperationstwothousa5511 I loved having to think of creative ways to complete the missions going in completely naked. Reminds me of the good ole MGS3 procure on site.
what about the drawback of you kicking enemies to interrogate them and DD always finds a way to be infront of that kick. seriously i lost about 15 bond points for how many times ive accidentally kicked him while trying to press the hell out of enemies
Still better than my experience with him. I was just out hunting some sheeps, thought I'd try out the Stun Arm on them.. So when I managed to get one of them running straight towards me, I charged up the arm, sheep closing in.. and what do you know. -_- The moment I let go of it, D-Dog just runs by and takes the full charged shot. ( Sheep got put down as well though, heh. ) GG, DD.

@@SHADOMEGA7569 for me, whenever I go stealth i give her the guilty butterfly so it’s more like i try to interrogate someone and they get tranquilized and i have to wake them back up

I just realized you can tell your friends “If you want to keep quiet, use the butterfly emblem” with it being a game changing piece of advice without being a spoiler👍

I love making them! It's a bonus for me that people seem to enjoy them too.
D-Dog is the best support buddy for building infiltration.
Quiet is my favorite as she excels out in the open, but she has very, very limited support once you are inside a big building.
D-Walker has further scouting range distance than D-Dog, but it is not 360 and it's too cumbersome for interior buildings.
IF only there was a mod to allow multiple buddies to be active in a mission.
D-Dog’s bark is amazing at times, during the mission in Africa where you have to extract the prisoner and the Afrikaans interpreter, the interpreter and his buddy decide to kill a prisoner.
Of course, the mission doesn’t want you to stop him so what I ended up doing was making DD bark so much that the guards decided to leave the prisoner alone and go investigate, which I just walked behind them and extracted the prisoner.
If you use his bark as a form of harassment, you can get enemies to not only be interrupted but quite literally forced to stop doing what they’re doing

I'm hooked on using DD right now. I think Quiet will be more useful once I can upgrade her with the tranq gun on missions I'm trying to keep the no kill status. I can play through without ever using D-Walker.
Quiet is my favorite partner... She make the ennemis sleep but... She don't have a suppressor... I know if I can put her a suppressor but I don't think

well said, I think in fact DD is lowkey OP because knowing the positions of every single soldier and prisoners help immensely and you can avoid combat more easily which makes up for the fact that DD is lackluster in that department

Do you still play the game and if you do how many hours you have clocked in , I'm running at 289 and still watching tutorials it helps that this ones are masterfully made
Thanks for you kind words. Not played it in a while, but I've clocked in around 350~400 hours played. Most of that time was spent experimenting for these videos. All the mechanics seem to flow well with each other so it was fun just putting these vids together.

D dog's battledress has to be my favourite outfit for him because just because if you use it right he can solo an entire base and if you are quick you can still extract all or most soldiers alive
You can order DD to go to particular locations like in the middle of a base to scout things out. The guards usually don't care when he runs past them during this time

D-dog has a range but he wants to make sure you are always safe like when you have quiet she will fire at will disregarding when you get spotted

I find a downside with DD that you didn't mention is that while his provisional markings are great for one playstyle (which you seem to favor?) with regard to infiltration featuring almost exclusive use of visually sighting marked enemies, it is actually an active detriment to iDroid-heavy infiltrations since his provisional marks *remove* the Intel Team FOM areas on the map but don't replace them with anything, so you actually lose a certain avenue of secondary intelligence as DD adds to your primary data, no longer being able to tell just how many enemies there are in total or observe their areas on your map, which can be a bit tricky with things like the more-urban areas where seeing a silhouette walking across the screen behind a wall doesn't tell you how many houses or open streets are between him and you.
I mainly use battle dress because its bulletproof so he never really gets shot unless he's up against shotguns and because he looks adorable with it.

I can't and I won't.
I've noticed that DD's effective range is not necessarily "your line of sight" in practice.
DD has an automatic teleport trigger if he gets far enough away from the player while he's out of line of sight. This means, if you send him to attack someone who's far away, you need to watch the event actually happen, or else DD will teleport back to you and not take out the guard.
I think this feature was included because if you drive a vehicle other than a 4-wheel drive, then DDog can easily get left behind, and need to be teleported.
When I saw d-dog use the knife I was like “WTF HOW DID HE DO THAT WHAT TRAINING DID OCALOT PUT HIM THROUGH

TheBatfink38 Thanks for that. Glad you enjoyed it. You don’t really need me to make a video series for the animals though. There’s loads of guides to collecting all the animals elsewhere online. The only reason I made this series is because I couldn’t find a video series that documented the buddies and their abilities in any particular depth.

The bark command is hilarious, the guards will just follow d dog while d dog also runs away and all the guards will also be stuck at a spot so its perfect for a sleep or smk grenade
That passive marking of enemies and everything makes DD the most op buddy lol. I guess quiet may be runner up

Buddies are good, but I really like substinence missions
2023 here and I found out that the bartk command is more useful than you think. if you somehow drop DD far enough from you; either from dropping him in to the battlefield or just from his weird pathfinding his model does; and spam the bark command in an outpost or area with a lot of enemy NPCs, over an over again, you can somehow get everyone in that area to follow him away from that area or you. Was trying a No traces run for C2W and I got everyone in that area running around the camp up the mountain while I punched the transmitters and radios. with no one around.
When DD AI runs into a guard using a radio- causing the alarm at the outpost.
When I need to go into a heavily fortified base like the one on the far middle west in Afghanistan (the one with the court and the 4 walls around it) I always use DD, Quiet is great in more open space, but she is useless in close range detection. With DD I always know who is around me and it fits my ghost playstyle best.

How do you change the colour of DD
Eastboundcub 1 This has been bought up a couple of times in the comments before. When you get your bond level to 100% with DD, you can customise his colour from the ACC.
He's amazing for taking guard posts, a little less for outposts

It bothers me a lot that the "keep'em busy" command cannot be used when DD is wearing an outfit. It should be like his basic ability. And I don't know why you say it's his most weak ability, it's amazing for engaging groups of 2-3 soldiers.
I think it's a good buddy because you can do a duo elimination, for example, there are 2 guards. You can make d dog go for one of them and you for the another one
you can also do that with quiet

My normal gameplay: DD (Stun) as my support and mostly a non lethal stealth loadout
My gameplay after several alerts (it happens): DD out of the area, keeping non lethal action if possible but having an AR ready
DD gets hurt and forced to evacuate: SNAFU, BRING IN THE NAPALM, THE NUKES, SOMETHING... HELL IS COMING HERE
Am I going to loose bond with a companion if I spend time with another one? Or will it still be the same?

Dd is probably thee best for infiltration, d house is glorified taxi, quiet is something to basically get the enemies attention and walker is for literally just battle, it sucks for most other stuff lol
I use d-walker on Africa, it's pretty good
