- [After Konami Update] Several months after the original release, Konami adjusted the point values of shipping containers so you couldn't repeatedly pick up the same one and get the full value by restarting the mission. Now they make you wait ONE FULL HOUR before you can pick up the container again in order to get the full value. I show you a farming run where you can grab some of the easiest containers at the beginning of missions, then I show a way to actually reset that one hour clock.

After you get the materials, leave the immediate area far enough so you see the "checkpoint" saving up in the right corner. Then you MUST choose "Abort Mission (return to ACC)" to abandon the mission. Do NOT do this method during Free Roam or while on a Side Op - it wont work. The containers will save and be removed from the game until you complete 4 (four) main missions. It can be the same mission, over and over, but you must complete at least four. You could just gather materials on Mission 30 and then complete Mission 4, then repeat that process if you wish. I just thought grabbing stuff from a few locations would not make it so boring from repeating CW2 in between every trip.
Also, the only soldiers that can see you while Active Camo is on is the snipers with the NVGs. There are two at least on Mission 30 on the right side, one in that first area before you get inside, and the other behind those first white containers i pick up. Even with the Camo on, you'll get the "sniper" indicator showing you that one sees you. Check the video to see the places where snipers are trying to spot me. Sorry I didn't say so in the video. When enemies are alerted, they're more likely to spot you in the camo as well. D-Dog is great at spotting enemies, that's way I take him with every time.
I tried putting everything I could into one video, showing you the routes, but skipping the stuff you don't need to do. I made it as precise as I could but I also made it concise, so I hope it helps you guys. I didn't constantly tell you why I do things a certain way, but try to follow what I do. Thanks.

Skull face mission is a gold mine not only for containers. I take Quiet with her heavy sniper and she wipes out everyone easily on her own. Then I call in D-Walker with his Fulton gun. This saves me a ton of GMP as he extracts cons, tanks, walkers and AA guns. If you complete the mission you get a bunch of S ranked volunteers at least 10 for your base :)

I pride myself on doing that. I've watched WAY too many other videos where they finally tell you what u want 6 minutes in! damn, you saw that fast. I was probably recording footage, didn't pause while playing, then i decided to just finish the mission since i spent 30 minutes taking everybody out. I got S-rank now, but yeah, you lose a lot of score when you let your character go idle while farming:)

Update Version 1.18 is out, both consoles will show version 1.15 on main menu. Chronos WaTch If you grabbed the containers in freeroam or you grabbed some and then complete the mission, then they remain gone until you complete FIVE story missions (i think 5 side ops work too but not sure). You can repeat the same one over and over, like do mission 4 five times and they will return. no big deal.

This is brilliant, I’m going to do this for a NG+ mode, starting a new save file and having an Uber abundance of resources so I can have all the weapons I already had by the mid point of the game and then finally finish everything
Tapping Y or Triangle while lock picking speeds it up and he moves the lock pick around faster too.

I try to respond to what i can, right now its manageable. It would be harder if i was more popular, seriously, I wouldnt be able to respond to hundreds of comments a week, but i take the time to respond to most at the moment. thanks for noticing:)
i just noticed that the container values dont change in a mission if you fulton it, abort mission and then start the mission again.
an example is when you are on the mission "skull face", you can bring d-walker with fulton cannon and extract all containers. after you reach a checkpoint just abort the mission and then start the mission again. the containers' values will not be changed
I dont know about pc, but I just tried this on Xbox One and it DID NOT work. I even did it the same way you said, mission 30: Skull Face, I brought D-Walker with fulton cannon and extract some containers. I reached a checkpoint and choose to Abort Mission (Return to ACC) and then started the mission again. The containers' values were reduced -- only 5 units for the first, and the two nearby were 40 and 75 for the others. NOW, if you were in "freeroam" to start with, it would only say Abort Mission but not mention the "return to acc." I found out that starting in freeroam first, starting mission, getting containers and hitting checkpoint, then aborting -- that would bypass the reduced limit. Thanks for calling me out on something I may have missed -- i want to have a video that people can use and covers everything. That's why i mad a follow-up video that should show in the annotation at the start, "Metal Gear Solid V, Infinite Resources Using Freeroam." This uses the freeroam angle to bypass that 1 hour counter. Thanks for the help!

Will the whole thing still work if you hit "Restart Mission" instead of "Return to ACC"...??
no. In my testing, choosing restart never worked, then the containers would have their lower values. do exactly as i say in video seems the only way. Be sure to check the updated version of the video, "Metal Gear Solid V, Infinite Resources Using Freeroam." It shows as an annotation, but some platforms cant see that. thanks.
start in freeroam and then start skull face mission. abort after the checkpoint when ur done and you will be put back in free roam. it works then. going back to ACC makes it not work.

start the mission in freeroam and bring a expensive vehicle when you started the mission fulton the vehicle and grab the resources you want then find the checkpoint and abort and youre back at the start with extra resources and a vehicle+ atleast thats how it is on pc.
I never heard that before, or at least I never really checked to see if I had an extra vehicle :) I might test that -- it would help low level players. I got plenty of tanks to try it with!

Alternatively you can equip any camo and chose to free roam afgahnistan and then start mission 30 (skull face) and Fulton every container throughout OKB zero and you could also Fulton the tanks for extra money, at the last gate you just go back to the second to last place to trigger a save and then Abort mission to return to free roam instead of the acc in order to make this even faster and you won’t waste any resources

So you have any recommendations on how to increase the level on R&D, medical ect at mother base besides vultoning enemies? Is there another way or is that it?
no other way, levels are based on the number of soldiers you have and their rank quality in that category.

I've tried this twice now and both times the containers in the skull face mission aren't there. Any info on why they aren't there? And also when I ran thru the archway it didn't do the checkpoint save

If GMP is of no concern, remember you can call in a sandstorm to conceal your presence. And since you're not completing the mission, you can put on the Chicken Hat.
On mission 30 cant you just do it in freeroam or doesn’t it have to be the mission?
the resource value arnt tied to an hour interval. if you finish 3 missions the values will be reset. I remember covering this topic and combining this with infinity farming to end grinding forever.
I think update 1.06 changed some of these things. I tested the resource values on my own a week ago or so, I'm not going by what someone else said, this is what i noticed on my own. I saw i was getting 75 units instead of 7500 units when i tried doing this strategy one day. After 2 hours I tried it again, and the values were back to normal. Then i tried repeatedly getting them JUST under an hour, and I got the reduced rate. Then I did it just over and hour, and I got full value. To reset this "one hour timer" you just need to do 1 story mission (which i did Mission 4: C2W), and then you can immediately do a farming mission and get full value. Completing 3 missions resets all shipping containers in the world.(i might have said 3 missions in the video, but thats because that's what i needed in order to get Mission 30 to resort back) So if you grabbed some during a mission and finished it, those containers remain gone until you've completed 3 more story missions (i heard side ops work but I haven't tried myself). I tested this stuff out, and i made sure what i did would work for someone else trying this. I acually made a new video, "Metal Gear Solid V, Infinite Resources Using Freeroam [After Patch 1.10]" and know i dont use the above method anymore. It bypasses the 1 hour timer AND having to do a story mission. Thanks for the comment, though. If I'm wrong i want to be called out. I want to have a video that works, and that people can confirm it works.

If i complete the four main missions will the containers that aren't from other areas you haven't show will be available?I've noticed that restarting checkpoint of a side missipn that you will face a better extracting person unless you don't care about who you extract this is the best for gmp you can extract somewhat the best stats. Restarting the mission for the da saeman men mission will jumble your stats to your preference type of unit. Not only will you capture unique units you will get both unique as well as more gmp if you ate patient. The jeeps and other things i feel count for pf grade as i have hold about 3 tanks.
If you spent about an hour completing 4 main missions you can grab the containers from the areas besides the areas that he mentioned be in mind that you need to play 4 missions and an hour to get the best materials otherwise you will grind four missions for nothing do four main mission wait an hour and get the materials.

@Stryker Of Enyo you can open locked gates faster by rapidly clicking the button for whatever console your on, it goes from 6 seconds to 3 i think

Hey, great video man! Thanks for sharing. I have problem however. For some reason it doesn't work for me on Mission 21. Containers are simply not there. However on Mission 12 works like a charm. Have not tried yet Skull Face though but mission 21 has me scratching my head. Any ideas on what could be happening? Thanks!
if containers are gone, then you must've picked them up during a mission and then completed that mission. Or you grabbed them in freeroam, that removes them as well. You just need to complete 3 story missions to reset all containers, so replay Mission 4: C2W three times (if you want, you just destroy those three radar dishes from the chopper, like in the video). That should get those containers back! Tho I've had to do it a 4th time before. thanks for watching!

no, you can do them in any order, and you can do as many different missions as you want. The ones I show are the most used and the easiest. Just do the ones you feel comfortable with, any order. Its just the order I like to do them in:)
I played mission 12, just like you did…. but when I came back 2 hours later the fuel was only 75 etc…. any advice?
Use the updated method on my video, Metal Gear Solid V, Infinite Resources Using Freeroam (it should show like in annotations on-screen). This bypasses waiting the one hour, or repeating the C2W(?) mission three times in order to reset the timer. I dont know why your run was like that, we're still on Patch 1.10 so nothing has been changed. You do need to be sure to ABORT the mission, as "reset mission" will not work. The game should work exactly as I show in the video, so be sure to follow what I say in it. I'm sure I mention to Abort to ACC in it whenever your done getting resources. And don't complete the mission either! At least, not if you want to farm still.

Ive been playing as well. I had it years ago and couldn't get into it. Now i play at least 2 to 3 hours everyday. Yesterday i got the Brennon tranquilizer gun and a semi auto sniper rifle that's a tranquilizer to. Love this game

Why didnt u just finished the skull face mission for the reset? All u had to do was going up the stairs and you had your reset. Or i missed something here?
the containers will stay gone until u complete 3 more missions. If you want to continue farming NEVER beat the mission.

Don't know if you know this or still play the game but if you spam the button that you use to start lockpicking, snake starts going faster, its not much but it lets you not have to wait longer

U have to extract the legandry jackel to be able to get the wormhole
I went there with the active camo that has 4charges, but I dont have the wormhole. So yeah, its possible and I think it's cheaper than your method boss.

But there was a change about 4 years ago, which was BEFORE my early videos. Hope that helps.

S rank skull face: take a jeep and smoke grenades with max duration, drive the jeep up to right before the sniper outside the encampment spots you, throw the smoke into the jeep, drive up to the stairs inside the back hanger, and dive up each set of stairs for a completion time of under 10 minutes skipping cutscenes. As you drive the jeep all the enemy soldiers can see is the vehicle itself and will side dive to get out of the way, hope I could help 😊
i might mention this in a video i have coming up, but i will show a screen shot of your comment with me doing it, giving you full credit. The next MGSV video will be a lot of work so I may not be able to show your method if im running short on time. thanks for the tip -- I got s-rank a long time ago, but its worth it just to see that method in action:)

Does it matter if you switch between online and offline mode?
no, i always stay "online" so online resources are always collecting, and i have access to all my available GMP. Being "offline" doesnt help with this farming method at all, so you might as well stay online. hope that helps!
FOB. Never done any stuff like this, doing FOBs bringing a lot of cash and materials:) but without online this methods will be perfect though
The war economy and skullface still work on ps4 but hellbound does not for me unfortunately.
Edit: I tried again and hellbound does still work. Must have done something wrong the first time.
i will check again on xbox, but it was working for me a few months back. hellbound is nice as you make your way through, but once you have access to skullface and the stealth camo, there's no need to go to hellbound again. so you're not missing out too much:)

NEW SILENT PATCH FIXED THE ABORT BACK TO ACC rinse and repeat method won't work,however same method and you ABORT BACK TO ACC,HEAD TO MOTHERBASE,THEN IT WILL RESET WHEN YOU DO THE MISSION AGAIN.just figured that out,credits still to you though.Hope this helps

Gold weapons? Are they new? How do you get them??
You had 3 questions, so here we go:
Gold - they added higher tiers to several weapons. Most are just existing ones with slightly higher stats, but they require insane amounts of levels and resources. check them out.
Over 200 - I got two FOBs, and when all maxed out I can have 300 members in each section.
Cant go Online? -- I believe there's maintenance going on right now for Xbox One, so that might affect your game too. Hope that covers all your questions:)

no, but definitive just has the base game with all costume dlc included. it shouldnt be a different version, but go to my newer video, "Top 20 Beginner Tips, Ultimate Edition" for updated versions of farming that i still use today.

Side op 50 isn't available gor me and ive completed the game and done a total of 86 side ops why
You are only allowed to have so many Side Ops open at a time. You may need to complete ops that are open located in the same area as Side Ops 50 before it we be available. See if you have a side ops 9 (gun-cam) base security blue print available in the Angola-Zaire border region. You probably did it, but if it happens to be open then do it - it takes place in the same zone as the the legendary jackal and blocks it until you finish it. If not, just do other Side Ops in that area and hopefully it will unlock for you. Good luck:)

How do you make money doing this strat??? Aren't you just getting resources?
you sell back the precious metal for a lot of gmp. You can sell back any of the resources you have, but 1,000 precious metal sells for 1 million gmp (if i remember correctly). Its the best way to make money.

no, at least not how i show it. This is an older video, please go to a newer one, "Top 20 Beginner Tips Ultimate Edition" for updated strategies. Is a long vid, but it has timecodes in description and even gives you methods to use when you're just starting a new game. I show how the new method works, but basically you do the same thing but you need to start in freeroam first, then start the mission. Thanks for asking, i think i'll change the title to reflect the change when i can:)

yes, patch 1.11 is NOT out yet, so nothing has changed. I really dont see them patching the method I use in the video -- they already made their changes a while back to slow us down. They could increase the time to 2 hours, but then they'd need to change how many missions it takes to have them come back. I dont see them doing that anytime soon, right now.

Can't we go offline and speed up the PS4 clock?
I will give you "no" for the most part. If you go offline, you wont get online resource materials deposited - and that's a majority of what you see yourself earn. Those are determined by when you sign into the server, whether its 10 minutes later or 2 days later. I've watched a lot of MGS V videos over the years and ive never seen someone show that advancing the clock could work - or else we all would be doing it. You just don't get much processed while offline, and i believe you need to be in-game to make it happen (like when you do those AFK Farming Methods). You just need to be sure to sign in every 1-2 days and you can get a big chunk deposited, like 20-40K depending on your rank and so on. So sorry, this wouldnt work:( thanks for the interest.
Stryker Of Enyo I have tried your way and you can run both "War Economy" on normal and Extreme (any mission, not just this one). It gives the full capacity. And to be even better use the Raiden suit and invisibility camo.

it should, but use the updaded video that adds "in freeroam" in the title. Honestly, just check out my two updated farming strats in "Top 20 Beginner Tips Ultimate Edition" and "Top 20 Advanced Tips Ultimate Edition" videos. They use the newest versions, but you my need to use the links in the description to jump to the parts you need. I dont have pc version but the game works the same and I never had someone tell me "that dont work on pc" for any of my videos that i remember.

no, I made an updated farming video to avoid that 1hour timer called "Top 20 Beginner Tips, Ultimate Edition (Updated Farming Strategies)" at (ruclips.net/video/m409ZuK8km0/видео.html) it is the newest version, but you may need to use timecodes to get to the right spot (the playback bar should have them too). The video covers several different things. And the older version was called "Metal Gear Solid V, Infinite Resources Using Freeroam (After Patch 1.15)" at (www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEnky...). Please watch at least that first video for a better strategy.

@@jokeruiner4481 for the stuff i show in this video... it should work. The change came in Dec of 2015 where the value of grabing containers multiple time was lowered from 7500 to 75. But I made two newer videos showing updated farming techniques that still work today, they're called "Top 20 Beginner Tips, Ultimate Edition" and "Top 20 Advanced Tips, Ultimate Edition" You will need to use the playback bar to find the right topic, they are both long videos:) I recommend signing in to online if you can -- the game doesnt let you acress the full value of your supplies when offline. There are also daily bonuses you can get when you sign in to the game, like earning MB coins so you can buy another FOB later. Seriously, they really hinder you if you play offline, so updated to the newest patch is a good idea if you plan on playing a lot. Use those videos I just mentioned to help you get started.
