I have been playing this game for YEARS and still haven't beat it. On Xbox one I had a save error keep happening and now I have it on steam and just don't play it.
I know, I know, I'm REALLY late to the party, I just got myself back into MGSV again after a whole year hiatus. But Raiden suit can sprint 100 meters in 8.033 second (27.84 mph | 44.81 km/h) [50% Faster than normal sprint] , while Gray Fox suit is 9.267 second (24.14 mph | 38.45 km/h) [30% Faster than normal sprint]👍
For some missions getting an S rank is extremely easy, provided you have the right equipment. The easiest one is "Hero's way" the one where you have to kill the russian officer: you go to a vantage point overlooking the village, snipe the guy, and drive toward the LZ. MGSV is probably the easiest Metal Gear.
My first time playing the game 7 years ago I tediously moved through each base mostly non-lethally dispatching every single enemy, extracting them and claiming each outpost. I started replaying it last week and decided to take a more loose and fun approach. I laughed my ass off on Hero’s Way when I did exactly what you described and just blew that guys brains out and extracted in 90s for an S rank knowing that in the past I would have blown 45 minute scouring the base for ANY resources and side objectives.
Took me about a month. Honestly when I learned you could S rank missions I began going on a quest to unlock each S rank, not even knowing what I’d get. I just assumed there would be a reward so I wasted hours of my time replaying missions for a hunch. But whatever, Id probably get a cool achievement is what I assumed.
@@dqena basically, yeah. Or at least just the story missions. Not only replay all the main missions (thankfully the extra missions that have “extreme” in front don’t count for the challenge) but EXCEL as you do them. It’s painful, I know.
@@DemolitionCanister do i have to do the side ops too? (Not counting the yellow ones to progress the story). i’m about halfway but it would suck to learn i have to do the side ops too
@@DemolitionCanister also if i get a lower grade i usually exit the game to restart the mission.. but say if i just pressed continue and replay it and get an S the next time i play it. Will the S stay or will the lower grade be permanent?
Good luck I heard getting platinum is crazy also there's a fun side story in mother base with a character called Paz I reccomend looking up a guide to see what to do
If I remember correctly there's one mission that's labeled weird but it isn't a replay or extreme, so make sure to check all of them even with brackets and to do the 1st mission
I just enjoyed the gameplay so much I decided to s rank everything and didn’t like the skin because it took out the strategy I would use since it ran fast and I like sneaking around in the base snake olive drab suit but that’s just me and the skin is still super badass.

How can I leave mother base? I can't see any soldiers or staff, I'm stuck on mother base because Miller called me back. I've taken down skull face and have code talker and my next important mission is retrieving the AI pod but when I try to call the Chopper there is no landing zone, I tried using one of the containers on the base to see what happens but he wouldn't hold on...what do I do?
I went back to the A Quiet Exit mission just to fkn annihilate everyone, I mean everyone. You're not going to mess with my lady and get away with it. I made sure to kill every fkn body. Explosions, punch combos, get them up from being stunned then comboing them again. I basically tortured them for what they did to Quiet. Airstrikes and everything XD I love this game so much. My favorite MGS out of all of them. I got Raiden and it's very rare for me to change costumes now. His reload speed is unmatched and of course his running speed and electricity is amazing. Absolutely worth it.

Pretty much every main mission including the first one aswell as a quiet exit and the secret ending, the quiet exit one is usually the one people forget about
I watched tutorials on RUclips so getting S rank on all main missions so it become easy for me. But after getting Raiden suit and running here and there couple times I feel like there's nothing else to do and left the game.😂
What a weird I coincidence that I found this vid, I too played the game when it released and dropped the game because of the EXTREME mission for some years. I recently beat this game with the true ending (last week) and I kid you not, I literally shouted, " PLAYED LIKE F*KIN FIDDLE!!!". The game was an was an emotion rollercoaster but when I unlocked the Gray Fox outfit I was running over everyone 😂 but now I think I'll strive for the Raiden outfit now.
No lifed MGS5 on my OLED Deck for a couple weeks straight. Completed the game fairly easily tbh. S ranks weren't hard at all. I did notice I had Raiden a while after tho. Only took me a short 204h+ MGRR was my first MG game. Then MGS5. I'd love to play the HD collection, but the ports are so horribly optimized

Hey i s ranked every mission but i haven’t gotten anything except for silver naked snake. Ive been trying to figure out whats not working but no one replies to me or has any knowledge on how to get the suits( Raiden Cyborg Ninja)
It takes 2 or 1 year to get mission 45 and 46 because i thought there is a mission 51 and yeah i realise something THE 45 AND 46 ARE SKIPPED yeah and then i complete it and i was bord with infinite ammo so i should unlock so it takes a few days to get s rank mission 1 to 15 because i love this challenge yeah and i have a lot of fun and easy to except mission 6 i rage because i got an A and yeah it took me 30 minutes i love challenge maybe it took 1 month i guess?
Only all normal missions and there's this one other mission that I think has a weird label but it's not actually an extra mission so make sure to look out for that one

Yeah looking back there was really only a couple of missions that were challenging, you can pretty much just speedrun through everything to get the S rank. It's the mission tasks that are hard imo
i love the game but the gunplay sucks i cant control that recoil or hit a stealth headshot 100% of the time and play the way i want to...... I wish i could fuse Ghost Recon Wildlands and MGSV into 1 game....... but i guess Kojima wanted it that way i wish i could appreciate it more.... the waiting in stealth kills me man.... Would have been the best of the best if they gave us the complete MGS Rising move-set including full Zan-Datsu. You could replay the whole game as... another game. But we didn´t even get a finished game and the final act, so what I´m dreaming of here?!? Thank you Konami, never again a real MG(S), and Kojimas postman simulators aren´t that great either, double loss.

How are people having such difficulty getting S ranks? Enemies that are held-up on the ground won't get up unless they're found so just tranq everyone, kick, hold up, repeat. Took me 3 or 4 days to get all the S ranks. The game is only as hard as you make it. EDIT: More tips, enemies can see you from 35m when crouch-walking and about 45m when full speed sprinting. They can hear sprinting at 15m, assuming you're wearing a sneaking suit.
It's probably just people being new to mgs games which at the time I was aswell, tbh all you have to do is either be really quick or don't get detected/kill anybody

If you get the Fulton Bazooka, 90% of the game becomes caveman-easy.

Raiden suit is op, you can just trample people and hold them up with the water gun and have D-Dog fulton them away while you trample the next guard 😂

It's a ton of fun, and there's a whole lot of content that's somewhat hidden in the game aswell so don't forget to explore
