Bicycle seems like a great way to get around, I would loved to use it when I was in Fortaleza but my ex-wife fell from a motorcycle when she was just a girl so she has a great fear of all things on two wheels that she never overcome and I was left walking around like a jackass in 35 degrees heat...

where exactly are you standing with that amazing night view of rio?? is it on the first mountain?
Is the trail to the first mountain safe to do on your own (female)? Did you see any pick pockets? Would it be safe to take a nice camera?
Yeah it’s all safe because it’s in a military area with many military schools, this is one of the safest areas in Rio

I am goign to brazila nd want to film to make videos during my study abroad. I have heard from the uni that we shoudl we careful with camera an dphones, so not show it too much. How did you do it? Are you using other camera than gopro for the video? Would it be more convenient for safety? But I am thinking that Gopro is not always steady...
