Sri Lanka is one of the finest places on the planet. No wonder the country won the ranking as the best place in the world for female solo travelers. I visited SL many times only to receive the perfect welcome from the locals.. I spent my time alone in the beaches in Galle and temples in Kandy without any disruption/ harassment from the locals, but only help and support.. and it's such a clean, neat and generous country! Love from California!

Great. I have to go back to Sri Lanka soon. I lived in Sri Lanka 1993 and 1994 and visited a in 1995 and almost got killed in bombing of the central bank in early 1996. Also visited in early 2004, about 10 months before the tsunami. Haven't been back since. Sri Lanka will always be in my heart. Even though I was in the country during the war I enjoyed the place.
U have to come fast as a Sri Lanka there are so many new things for you ✌️

Sri Lanka is a vibe. I was a little afraid to go after the terrorist attacks, but these videos encouraged me again. Hope I can make it on my next trip to that part of the globe!
Yeah seems those days are gone, when we went in 2019 there was still many military walking around on the beaches even but didn’t see anything like that this time
Sri Lanka is perfectly safe.No terrorist attacks.It is a lovely place with nice warm people like the climate

oh that bird is a migratory one called “koha”,it usually fly from India around april which is new year month,its symbolizes new year start ,very annoying sometimes😅and secret beach is used to be very secret,but not anymore,very popular around high season

DJI mavic mini 3, I did only fly when it was less windy though. Some of the wind at moments would have been impossible lol

Just a note that a lot of the southern restauranteurs, surf industry migrates to the east during the eastern surf season. So low season can actually mean no season. It’s worth keeping track of these seasons before booking.

This time of the year its out off-season coz rainy season in this part of Sri Lanka. In December it is the busiest beach in Mirissa.

18:15 the sand is not black. its sewage being dumped. didnt u see the outlet on the left side? just that it flows all the time and so it doesnt stink. the beach color gets progressively less black as you move further away from the spot...

Not in this trip, we did that in 2019 though and have some videos on this channel from there also
@@JumpingPlaces I only recently found your channel so I will be going over the older videos gradually until I find it.
I was there last year during high season in February, and still had a lot of rain and clouds which ruined the feeling a bit.
In general i found the beaches to be ok, but far from spectacular. It is definitely not a country i would recommend as a beach destination. Interior of the country is better like Sigirya, Ella etc.
After Phillippines nothing amazes me so much;)
Many people come here because of the beaches, they are not like Philippines level but then again not many places are in the world

Cheers! We knew it was rain season but we have been in rain season in many tropical places, it never usually rains literally the entire day non stop for weeks. Usually it’s like a couple hours of heavy rain and then opens up for a while, a mix. The locals told us it was unusual the amount that happened, apparently it barely rained at all the 2 months before and normally it should have

Staying in Weligama for a few days, and really wanted to try some authentic SL Sea Food, but all the places are closed.
Would be really grateful if you could point us towards some authentic places in Mirissa, since Weligama has nothing but surfing (Hopefully something affordable) .

I was at Mandara resort Mirissa last week. The river outflow turned the sea brown with sewage . Not the season to swim
