As a Croat, I can say I fully enjoyed this video ❤ So glad you guys are enjoying my beatiful country. 😊
Croatia looks like if you crammed all the other countries into one, it literally has everything from the sea, rivers, mountains, forests, small deserts, lakes, swamps and plains that you can't see the end of, and besides that, it has all the seasons
EXACTLY!❤❤❤
Croatia is certainly one of the most beautiful and diverse countries in the world. With such different climate zones, it's almost unbelievable for such a small country. I was with the military in Karlovac. A little south of there in Lika is the coldest winter, a little west behind the mountains is Dalmatia with the warmest winters. In the east of Croatia you have the continental climate with cold winters and warm summers. In percentage terms, Croatia is one of the countries in the world with the most freshwater.
Croatia is a gorgeous country.
Beautiful and interesting place. Clear water beaches historic buildings and overall amazing views! 😊
Beautiful colors, until the eyes pass!😊Enjoy Croatia to the fullest,Chris and Carol, you deserve it,for the work you do with your nice videos.❤
Thank you so much!
Love seeing all that Croatia has to offer.
Croatia is on our list to visit. 👍

Wow the water was so clear. Beautiful 😊
it's like that pretty much everywhere in this country :D
@@JumpingPlaces The rock jumping at Babin Kuk is also amazing. Water clear and warm too

Dubrovnik is a magical place! I know it’s too busy but still incredible! Thanks for another awesome video!
It is stunning indeed. We actually didn't find the amount of people to be too bad, we could easily walk around :D The euro's were on though so i think many people were satin the bars and restaurants watching the games
@@JumpingPlaces
The only bad thing about your videos is my overwhelming desire to be in Croatia again!
Oh so lovely, thank you….
wow what a beautiful city is Dubrovnik another one on my bucketlist tjek.
Thank you for another beautiful video. Your drone shots are awesome ❤
Beautiful. Thank you.
Carol and Chris thanks for another wonderful video. The Beachwater is a little crowded but gorgeous. You were brave taking a dip in the cool water.😅 stunning colors

Beutifull Dubrovnik.
As a Croatian i never was there, becouse it's so expencive and to touristy.
35€ is realy to expensive. If that included some meal and cocktail or icecream ok.,but so....Eat always in local Konobas oround the center,it will be cheaper. The jumpers st the end were 👍

Greetings from Toronto
Guys come to Montenegro !) Nature is also beautiful but prices cheaper !
Great video
Hi Carol 🙋♂️ from Phoenix Arizona
I have been to Pasjača. It's definitely a hidden gem. My brother in law took me there when I visited.
Nicest beach we visited in Croatia probably
BEAUTIFUL DUBROVNIK
Your video is very beautiful. We are visiting each and every place
Watching from 🇨🇦
i live and work in dubrovnik nice video !
We enjoy your videos every time. We have been to Croatia twice, but we find it too busy and expensive. Enjoy your stay and we look forward to seeing where you go next. Greetings from Holland😊
Cheers! Where have you been visiting now recently?
@@JumpingPlaces I just went to Puglia, beautiful and at the end of August we pass through Sardegna. Sardegna I have been coming for 30 years .
Nice we need to go, is there more expensive than Dubrovnik?
Sardegna is cheaper. Pizza 10,- Lunch at an agriturismo starts at 1 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. 35,- including wine and liqueur. Beaches are free, parking is often also free. Coffee 1 euro, and a sandwich at the bar 1/1.3 euros. The beaches are fantastic, super blue water.
oh wow, i always thought it was whacky expensive there
I was there around 1980 and 1995 - interrailing and charter. Before the Yugoslav war....remember the slippery pavements - and the pebble beaches...
looks beautiful there but wow expensive
From Morocoo keep going congratulation bro❤
Super❤❤❤🇭🇷🇭🇷🇭🇷🇭🇷🇭🇷
Dubrovnik is probably the most expensive place in Croatia. The prices are high in the high season as a way to deter too many tourists overrunning the place. The wall walk is a must though, you guys needed to budget for it.
I walked the walls a long time ago and back then it was cheap and the sea views were amazing.
17:42 Edible plant, great for salad...
IN DUBROVNIK, THERE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN GREAT PRICES FOR EVERYTHING, AND WALKING WITH THE WALLS IS VERY EXPENSIVE ...However, all this can be done in a cheaper version and freely.
I am already following you for years and I was waiting for this one! Again, I feel guilty for not being home to guide you around and give you the best tips of the area.
I thought you guys are there now, but then Croatia lost 2 weeks ago against Spain so I guess you are already somewhere else. The sea temperature today is 29C, so not cold for Carol.
In Dubrovnik you always buy this city pass that allows you onto the walls, Lokrum island (which is beautiful),The cable car and some other museums. Like this it, is a pretty good deal.
And off course, eating in the old city centre is always more expensive, because these owners pay a lot of money to the city council for a terrace permit, and transport permits for deliveries into the old town. Also , the Supermarkets in the immediate vicinity of the old town have higher prices because of the tourists, and are mostly owned by German owners such as Kaufland and Lidl. I still think Dubrovnik is not super expensive , but it all depends on where you go for dinner.
Next time visit my village of Mlini (4km from where you were staying), Cavtat (7km from where you were staying), and take a rent a car and make a tour of the peninsula Peljesac with its wineries and the island of Korcula.
Greetings from the Atlantic, passed the Azores, arriving in Algeciras, Spain the day after tomorrow.
Greetings from your fan! Absolutely love your work!
Hey there, the pass doesn't include lokrum island or the cable car. its mainly the museums, palaces and the wall walk. Thanks for the tips. Did you stop in Azores?
We did a quick pit stop, but I did not manage to go out. Was on shift...aarrrghhh@@JumpingPlaces
Blue see reminds me on sunny Marmaris )
beautiful city...of course tourist areas more expensive in high tourist season like the US beach towns always more expensive in summer months than in winter and also where i live here in Mississippi on Gulf coast always expensive in summer and depending what event always more
Great video guys....really loved it. like 482.
cheers mate!
Amazing video, i enjoy in all your videos,im glad to you like Croatia, i invite you to visit also Istra ,Zadar ,what is famous in sea organ and also to visit continental part of Croatia and of corse Zagreb ,enjoy in trip
2 mins in $70/ night pushing my single limit , yet is more a small flat , with a view .
Nice montage with the mirror , super cool !
yeah only got that price because it's not in dubrovnik, only about 15 mins away though so not too far
You guys have such great thumbnails! And they let you fly the drown there Chris?
We will have to catch up on your recent uploads after we return from Zanzibar! I think you guys will love it there!
Nice, always wanted to go there :D
Beautiful. Wife and I went in March/April and not crowded even in the old Town. Found it more expensive than other parts of Croatia but glad we went. Once the cruise ships start to come, I believe in May, I personally wouldn't go there then because of the constant crowds. Yes, eating in villages is great, price wise and more interactions with the locals. Love Croatia. 👍
nice editing bro ;-) you got one more sub . i have just started my channel and learn a lot thank you
Dubrovnik is the busiest tourist location. Especially, on the weekends
true, we actually didn't find it too bad to walk around, was expecting it to be even more crowded but was quite easy to walk. However the Euros were on so many people seemed to be in bars and restaurants watching the games
Just left Dubrovnik. Loved it, but very expensive. If went again I’d probably stay across the border in Herzegovina
Im visiting Dubrovnik next week. I will do a road trip from my hometown in Preveza Greece to the whole Albanian and Montenegro coast to Κotor and Dubrovnik.
Sounds like a great adventure!
@@JumpingPlaces Yeah hope it goes as planned. You guys couldn't have a better timing, you helped me a lot.
Maybe with popularity and entering the EU prices have gone up. Still on my list as so beautiful!
So beautiful and perfect timing! We are headed to Croatia in September. Are you guys happy with your decision to rent a car? I had just assumed we would take the bus. Maybe we will rent a car instead. 😊
yeah definitely preferred having the car since there are so many unplanned stops you will want to do on the coast. Not even sure if we could get to the first beach in this video without a car or taxi
Vagabundo do a great speed boat excursion. It's a very fast rib boat trip to the green and blue caves and Lopud island. Worth thinking about. I loved that trip, the best day I had in Dubrovnik
Our next video is a boat trip to Lopud and the 2 other islands next to it, was also our favorite day :D We didn't do the caves though
@@JumpingPlaces did you go to Kolocep and Sipan? The Elafiti islands are all lovely. I wish I was there. I am jealous
yeah it was Kolocep and Sipan
the prices are intentionally unaffordable to reduce crowds which are overwhelming during summer, even UNESCO asked Dubrovnik to reduce visitors or loose its status as world heritage.
Bern to dubrovnik 3x and adore the place.
cool many times! Have you ever been off season? Wondering how emptier it gets
@@JumpingPlaces I went last year October 11 to October 18. Weather perfect
Hot in the day and cool at night. Sea still very warm for swimming. I also went July. July too hot for me x
@@JumpingPlaces ps in late September or early October tourists drop by about 80%
sounds good around that time! The weather has already been insane in June this year so would hate to see how it is in July/August at it's peak
@@JumpingPlaces I went mid July last year when the heatwave hit southern Europe. Dubrovnik was an inferno at that time. Many people I met on my holiday would not even leave the pool. When I went back on 11th October, it was about 85F in the day and at night down in the 60's F which required a sweater, Perfect really. Tourism was right down too, much better for walking around the old town
when you will come to the island of Krk?
Maybe Chris should look for a beige thin shawl to protect neck and shoulders from the sun sometimes..
Not a cheap meal , that said , was a lot of it :-)
Was a decent portion :D
the city by itself is pretty and suits well for a family weekend trip but definitely not good choice for social life and party animals
Hi Chris and Carol, I’ve been watching all the videos you created by using my husband’s account and they are beautiful. Could you tell me the app you use for editing your videos? Thank you!
Hey there, I use Final Cut Pro on a Mac book
@@JumpingPlaces, perfect since I also use a Mac Book. Thank you, I appreciate your response.
Where would you travel next after Croatia? I love all your videos in Croatia, especially that park where the water falls are and Dubrovnik (I love the beaches). Such a beautiful country. I’ll be traveling there one of these days.
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊Hello from Rio in Braziiiiiillll!!!
Cheers❤❤❤
Oi :D
@@JumpingPlaces 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Malta next?
If you are there at the moment, go to Kupari beach. It's insane. Lots of derelict hotels which were shelled during the civil war 30 years ago. They line a beach of clear blue water. Very nice for swimming while the hotels are good for urban exploration. Be careful though, buildings are crumbling in parts. Have a great time
we were going to visit there but ended up staying in the old town to watch the croatia game
@@JumpingPlaces Try to visit it, it's so interesting
comparing Rhodes castle and this CITY is beyond any comparation :)
in our opinion rhodes castle is better and more interesting on the inside and way bigger too, this one looks nicer when you see it from a far with the mountainous backdrops and the sea
@@JumpingPlaces not even close.
what do you find so much more impressive about this one than when you visited rhodes old town?
@@JumpingPlaces Greece is my favorite country after Croatia, Rhodes is beautiful but there is no comparisment between the citira.
@@JumpingPlacesyou should have visited Trakošćan castle 😎
As for the cannon , try google translate :-)
Croatia is a small country, but it has one of the largest coastlines in the world with 1,200 islands and islets. for example, by the size of the coast, it is larger than France, Cuba, Portugal, Spain, Thailand Popular destinations must be expensive like Venice or Monte Carlo. Before the euro, it was cheap for everyone from Western Europe. now the prices have only leveled off like elsewhere, and Croatians still have two or three times less wages than others in the EU. The Adriatic coast is large and has places for those with richer pockets, and for the rest you just need to do more research -Jumping Places visited Split-Dubrovnik-Hvar, these are expensive tourist places
we visited Omis too which barely had any tourists and the food still seemed pricey, attractions there were definitely more reasonable though. 10 euros for a boat tour and 5 euros for a fort visit. We also stayed in Čibača in this video in a local residential area and it was still 65 euros which isn't exactly super affordable either to be in a random place
out of curiosity what are these budget coastal places? I see other comments talking about them but nobody mentions any names
@@JumpingPlacesIsland of Krk, Island of Rab, town Crikvenica, Rijeka ... Šibenik and Zadar are also cheaper than Split and south.
Split, Korcula, Dubrovnik are places where Americans go and they are ready to pay.
The places I mentioned are more popular with Europeans ...
Again you have expensive places in the northern coast like Rovinj or Opatija.
look, when we say there are cheaper places, it doesn't mean that the whole destination is cheaper than in almost every destination, if you do a little research, there are many cheaper places to drink and eat. I've been to Dubrovnik twice and you ate at Stradun itself or in centers, taverns or national parks where it is always more expensive, but already 200-300 meters away you can eat and drink much cheaper. You need to do a little research. When I was in Dubrovnik, I drank and ate 3 times cheaper in Lopud than in the old one city. So, there are no cheap destinations, but cheaper restaurants and bars in every place, but rarely in the top places where you have been.@@JumpingPlaces
@@JumpingPlaces
The island of Brac and especially Hvar are expensive. Rich people with yachts, Hollywood actors, singers and athletes come to Hvar. from Split, locals go to the island of Solta, which is located opposite Brac. It is less noisy and expensive. can be reached by ferry in 30 min. Near Split, less than 1 hour's drive away, there are places like Trilj, Sinj or Imotski with local food and less expensive restaurants. it is a beautiful nature with lots of greenery
it was in the news that the Italians were asking for payment just to enter the center of Venice. In Barcelona, tourists are shot with water guns. You will not have such inconveniences in Croatia. Croats are hospitable people and if you make friends you won't pay anything. My advice is to communicate with local people as much as possible.
Croatia is also one of the safest countries in the world. The city of Dubrovnik must be expensive because it is one of the most famous cities that are in the top destinations on all tourist lists - after all, it is a city with a lot of real history that has existed for more than 1000 years.
Like number 683.
With the respect that you two deserve, especially you Carol, that red bikini is very nice.
Don't worry Carol...I've also got no intention of ever watching Game of Thrones 😅.
Missing out on one of the greatest series ever. But okay
Me neither 👍
Where is the Beach in the beginning of the video? Can you please put locations in your videos?
we showed the name in the video, you can search it on google maps
Surprised ar some of the restaurant prices.
Ya volim hrvatska Btw i know Croatian so translate this
I'd actually like to see the footage from the restaurant where the construction workers ate. Those kind of places are the real deal.
