Classical Chinese architecture is about dealing with opposites such as inside and outside, light and dark, and natural and geometric, which are meant to come together to form a unity. A perfect round circle, as shown by the full moon, unites both opposites and thus symbolizes perfection and harmony. A circular doorway is therefore called a moon gate.
非常专业的评价!👍
A beautiful, calming view of passing boats, lazy cats giving an equally calm impression,to have a fragrant tea with it.This is how I imagine paradise at this moment. Those ceramic mugs, including spoons, can always charm me.Venice of China got me.!Thank you,Chris and Carol.😊❤
This water village is much older than Venice.
Let’s stop calling it Venice of China.
This Vlogger is one of the few who understands Chinese history, which is great

Another Awesome Adventure Thank You Chris & Carol Safe Travels 🙂❤👍Shanghai is so Beautiful 🙂
Shanghai is a beginner's village to travel to China, and the veteran village is Xinjiang, Tibet and Inner Mongolia
In China, foreigners can walk on the streets, in the park holding a camera doing video recording and speak her own language so loudly and yet no one stop or bother them. See this is freedom in China. I remember walking in India New Delhi on the streets. The minute you get out of the taxi there will sure be beggars following you and begging. There are sure to have people following you and wanted to be your sight seeing guide, 3 wheelers rider wanted to bring you for shopping and touting people trying to sell you something. I remember when I was in New Delhi Connaught Place. I can't even enjoy myself. While I was walking, on my right there was 2 kid beggars following me and begging all the way. On my left there was a man holding like 10 sun glasses on his hands and keep asking me to buy from him. 3 wheelers rider following shouting sir! sir! shopping! shopping! good price, good price. And they are so persistent and they can keep following you and make you very irritated. But in China, tourists can really enjoy wandering and walking anywhere freely without anyone bothering you.
China is very good. Everywhere is clean, and no homeless
What a beautiful and tranquil location! Cool train ride!! Loved the video. Thanks!
This water town is so picturesque! looks like you had a beautiful boat ride! which reminds me of the boat ride I did in Cambridge last summer. I love the music you chose for your video! Hope you come back to China again soon!
Having been all over the world, I can easily say that China is by far the best travel destination on so many levels.
有点夸张,明明是印度最好玩
China supplies the US with Fentanyl

作为宇宙第一强国的韩国非常不赞同你的观点
@@stonerist when you visit india, you should drink some of the water from river ganges. its like elixir. your impotency & prostate enlargement will disappear. Better than indian cow piss.
Loving your China series and as always best captures from music background to captivating scenery. Have a safe travels Cris and Carol love from Queensland Australia❤️🇦🇺👍
Was in China in 2013 we also stayed at the Marriott in Shanghai, one evening we decided to go over into the old neighborhood located across the bridge in back of the Marriott at the end of the block. The neighborhood was where the common everyday working people lived as we were walking around at no time did we feel threatened the people were super friendly and that was the way it was wherever we went in China.
My husband and I have been enjoying your channel for awhile now. Thanks for showing us the world as you see it. We hope you both stay well. We haven't been to Japan or China, but have been impressed watching your videos.
Welcome to China, the Chinese people welcome you! There is no political correctness in China like in Western countries, and China is also very safe! Don't be deceived by your media, saying that China's cameras violate your human rights and freedom, etc. This is not true. It is because of these things that bad people will stay away from you, so China is currently the safest country in the world, no doubt about it!
China, Russia , Italy and New Zealand are the best places to visit but with time, not just the same touristic places!! Great content!
What about France?
China is getting cleaner and neater each year too.
Yes, you definitely need much longer time to travel around China. Your video about China is awesome.
I love your calmly stated travel videos
It's a pity that you didn't visit Yu Garden, which I think is a more beautiful attraction than the gardens at Zhujiaqiao.
他们视频后半部分去的豫园,晚上8点钟
@@user-tw5eo8zg3n我说的是豫园那个园林,那个到下午4-5点就停止售票了,他们参观的是豫园商城
Try city of Chongqing next time, that's a different type of city. City in flatland looks quite alike
Beautiful video again ❤
Zhujiajiao is a nice place to kick back and Shanghai for adventure! I will for sure have a much different perspective when I see the words "Made In China"! 😊
Beautiful thanks for showing love watching your videos always..I am from Trinidad
zhujiajiao is ok if you never seen a chinese water town, but it's too commercialized imo and not that impressive architecturally. it's only popular because it's a metro destination from shanghai. the 144 hr visa isn't limited to one city in a lot of cases. if you entered shanghai, you could have gone anywhere within the two neighboring provinces. a one hour bullet train to suzhou would have been better for a water town experience, or slightly further hangzhou. there is a chinese saying, the sky has heaven and the earth has hangzhou and suzhou. marco polo wrote hangzhou was the most beautiful city in china, but that was way back then lol.
same for shanghai in general, it's way too commercialized imo. a lot of other cities in china have more character, but if you like big modern metropolis, shanghai is as good as anywhere else if not better, albeit 2-3x more expensive than most other cities in china
😅
I’ve loved it all ❤
🙏🏼 thank you it been on my bucket list for many years having my daughter’s best friend from Shanghai (and now back in Shanghai for a few years) and one of my best friends in Macao who moved there 25 years ago
It’s a long over due trip
Have a nice chill in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰
You ve worked relentlessly so hard the past few years you really deserved a break
Take care

I fell in love with Shanghai now because of you and Carol ,Chris, its a beautiful city man!❤that river cruise was magnificent/magical with its beautiful bridges, luv it❤thanks for taking us along ❤️
Amazing video!
Thx for such a nice video....been a subscriber of your channel for about 2 yrs or so....looks like you people like nature a lot....hence next time you should be in Chengdu....The city of Pandas...
Welcome to Shanghai, and glad you guys like it the best. Yeah, they lowered speed from 430km to 300km, as I took it last time I was there, but I also saw video recently, someone took the train reaching 431km, that must be lucky. Shanghai has most foreigners and lots of hidden gems, hope you guys can come back one day and discover more.
They do 431 twice a day
I have loved these videos. You have totally changed my views on visiting china and it’s now high on my list. Have loved you visiting some more unusual countries this year
16: 42-16:49 The background music is called Dream Water Village(梦里水乡). The flute is for the wind, and the guzheng is for the water, taking you to your dream hometown. When you recall this place, this song will follow your memories...... enjoying journey of yours
Thats an old train. Maglev to Pudong airport. Not really what people consider as the nromal HSR in China. 600km/hr is coming in a couple of a years.
beautiful, thank you guys. I really hope you go back to China, it is very interesting discovering China through your eyes, perhaps even beyond the urban areas, it would be fascinating to see the jewels of rural areas
It really looks fabulous. We will have to book our trip next year.
You should keep the Lady in the frame a lot more. She adds beauty to every scene. Absolute Stunner. Fantastic channel and incredible journey, thx for sharing!!
Totally agree. She mingles into this beautiful scene of water town so well that it looks almost heaven with an angel there. What a feast for eyes, beautiful lady and beautiful scene! 👍
His wife is a bit camera shy.
you two deserve the rest. Thank you for sharing your travels.
Your videos are beautifully produced, skillful, and artistic.
Wow, really impressive!
Thank you for showing such incredible places.
Ive been there twice before covid , it bring memory😊.
The Maglev is actually built by Germany Siemens and it is the 1st even before the China HSR.
In contrary many people assume , China actually purchase many best technology anyone can provide for example the Shanghai metro line 1 was built with American Westinghouse company. And when I went to Huangshan the cable car is from Swiss company.
And also some olympic building in Beijing the architect company who win the bidding were western architect company.
China purchasing power is crazy.
I am Indonesian and I travelled to China since 2006 quite many times for exhibitions , bussiness meeting and travelling with my family.
"China's purchasing power is crazy!" Really?
Meanwhile U$ purchasing power is mostly spend on bombs and wars, isn't that more crazy?
More recently U$ is even funding gazan ge no side too! Isn't that more crazy?
They didn't mean crazy in a bad way. English speaking people often use the word "crazy" meaning something like "amazing" or something surprising
@@monipenny408you need to lighten up,jeez.
This fully shows that China's development has led to the development of the world, especially the Western countries, in the past decades, China has made a lot of money, at the same time, China has learned a lot of advanced technology and experience, which is win-win. But now the Western society, especially the United States, cannot keep up with China's speed, and they begin to try to stop China's development, which is extremely selfish and unwise.
Welcome to China. Take more time to understand this ancient country and it's people. It will be a completely different experience 🎉
这一对懒得理你那种
that opening looked like a little piece of heaven!!
Wu Zhen is another famous water town, which is only 130 km away from shanghai. wu zhen is less commericalized than Zhujiajiao.
I live here, and take interest in this type of video. All of these videos have something in common, they all say, "we thought it was going to be, but its not"!
MSM do a great job of fooling people.
Lately I'm obsessed with these kinds of videos, it's more exciting than watching a movie or a game, the expectation of "you're about to get shocked and mind blown ... See? I told you so!" 😂😂😂
Beautiful vlogs of Shanghai ,really liked them and informative too .No one can beat the Chinese these days when it comes to developing new technology like this high speed train yiu showed us ,keep it up guys 👍👍🌺🌺
Watching!❤
Love the music you guys picked for the boat ride.
In essence, your videos are packed with tranquility, peace, calmness, relaxation and are eye-catching. There is no better way of doing a travel video.
This was amazing 👍 Very calm and relaxing. Loved the boat ride. Take care you two ♥♥
The speed was 430km/h when I took the maglev train in 2017, I was a bit scared because it was too fast, being worried about the train getting out of control.
Love this series 👍❤️
Nice video! Want to go Shanghai, looks really beautiful 😮
Loved this one guys.
7:06 if you are eating fish in China , and picked Steamed fish, the soy sauce in the plate is for dipping, or you can ask for more soy sauce if they didn’t serve with it in the first place. 7:06
Best videos of china I’ve ever seen; never seen anything like it, so much detail
That boat ride is dreamy AF, nostalgic
Very cool, Chris & Carol. I had to watch for the mag lev but the whole video was fascinating and, as u said, Chris, the old town of Shanghai was unbelievable at night. Well done.
Cheers bill!
Always amazing places, wonderful countries ,very cool pictures...Good job, tanks 👌
Great Video 👍👍👍. Which camera do you film with?
Try to visit Yunnan, next time, around Lake Erhai, Dali and Shanxi - a very beautiful part of china, with many historic, quiet old towns.
Definitely looks like Shanghai would be my favorite too...but the Great Wall was just awe inspiring! Have been told many times China was dirty and a lot of people don't like it. Did not look that way to me in your videos. Thanks! Lovely (Personally, Portugal is one of my favorite places in the world; especially the Silver Coast north of Lisbon and go once a year at least) so would probably skip Macau as it's a bit too Vegas like for those of us who like more laid back places.😊
Wow I am so jealous of that high speed train. Way Cool. Nice intro to this video. Very Professional. Thanks for sharing.
You are welcome to visit China, taste its delicious food, and experience the convenience that technology brings to your life.
Such a beautiful and peaceful video, it has a big difference from other videos that made by othere foreign vloggers, most of foreign vloggers like to shoot modern city, high skyscrapers, high speed train, amazing subway stations..., but this one focus on calm and peachful places in China, which is another side of China, also attractive for people, I really love it.
Enjoying all your videos, great channel. Funny how the Manc accent keeps popping out every now and then too. Live there myself so easy to spot! What area were you?
love the music over the water town…almost wanted to close my eyes watching it lol
I definitely will go to zhu Jia Jiao when I go back to Shanghai to see my mom in September!
Thanks for sharing this video with us
Dude! Did any one ever tell you that you look like a famous Hong Kong actor Daniel Wu?!
Not really, also Daniel Wu looks younger.
@@LH1xx lol.....
Viewers from Vietnam, wish the channel always develop
This was an amazing series. Not sure if I missed something but thought you were heading to Portugal but loving these stops. Don’t know when you and your parents separated but I am famous for dozing off during videos. Continue to enjoy the journey.
As some people already mentioned, Mission Impossible was shoot in another ancient water town called XiTang, one of the several similar water towns in Yangtze delta. Zhujiajiao's advantage is it's close to Shanghai (reachable by the Metro, even bike: less than 2hrs' ride from the Hongqiao Airport), others are also peaceful and beautiful.
And I want to say, comparing to some other travelers, you guys really known how to enjoy(spend) life (money)! You've already been to more corners in Zhujiajiao than I, a personal from Shanghai have. 🤣
There's so many other places worth exploring in China, looking forward to your return. 🙂
Love your China travel. Wasn't sure about China due to their strict regulations, but you guys opened my eye. Maybe one day. Also, I love the music you put in your content. It really enhances the experience. I live in CA, but have you guys ever been to Viet Nam because that's where I'm from. Looking forward to more of your travel.
Chris needs to practice using chopsticks before you come back.😝
Congratulations to you guys for your new remarkable video today’s from Shanghai, China this weekend in great joy to shows these amazing places in Asia June of 2024❤❤❤
Yeah, I got lazy and went to Qibao Ancient Watertown closer to Shanghai on the metro but this one you went to looks a million times better in all ways! Great video guys, now I must go back! Yu Bazaar at night was absolutely stunning
Enjoying all these videos
There's a nice app for all the metro systems in the major cities of China called Metroman. I still have 2 years left on my 10 year long stay visa, so I would recommend going through the process of getting that. Not too difficult, and well worth it if you travel frequently in SE Asia. So much to see, and so many places worth visiting in China. Guilin, Zhangjiajie, Yunnan Province......and the list goes on.
Very nice videos, thx
Beautiful scenery !
Venice of East boat trip was awesome. Steam fish is the best chinese dish, nice to see karol enjoying eating steam fish. Maglev train journey is superb touching speed of 300 kmph plus. You both covered Shanghai trip very well. Appreciate your hardwork & passion to travel around the world. Thank you very much to both of you for sharing priceless video.
300KM/h的是高铁不是磁悬浮
What great videography you have in your videos another really good one. You kids make great videos..
China 🇨🇳 🇲🇴 🇭🇰 is amazing place.
First thing tonight, watching this video, can' t wait!
欢迎你来上海旅行
Great show guys! Great episode. Makes China look safe.
it is very safe here :D
Thanks for sharing your video so beautiful in Shanghai oh by the way I told you the last time when you guys is in Japan now my son and his friends is in Japan right now they're excited to be there thanks again for your video take care bye from milton Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
Mission Impossible was filmed in another water town. There are quite a few water town around Shanghai. The best one is Wuzhen
Wonderful video! Stay safe and have fun. 🧜♀🧜♀🥰
I love China ❤❤❤
Zhujiajiang was beautiful, but I think other water towns are considered the 'Venice of the East,' particularly Suzhou and Hangzhou, but these towns seem more touristy than Zhujiajiang, which has more of a laid-back and quiet charm as you noted. I hope when you go back to China you do a sort of 'water tour' where you look at the towns along the Grand Canal, which was built around 1,400 years ago, and maybe also tour Dujiangyan, the oldest waterworks still in use today. That would be a nice way to make a 'splash' on your next visit!
Suzhou water town is much older where the grand canal start go all the way to Beijing over 2300 yr old much more history that is most of the tourist go this water town is build during ming dynasty around 700 yr ago.
Welcome to Shanghai, China this weekend to tours this amazing places on the streets with shops, restaurants, hotels, water canals, etc. in June of 2024❤❤❤
视频的制作及配乐实在太棒了,很享受观看。✨🤗
Shanghai is beautiful. The boat and water reminded me of Venice Italy! At night everything looks so much more beautiful and magical. I think you and Carol need to rest a little bit before your next video lol thanks for all your hard work until next time. Ciao❤
Amazing trip💕
05:35 I've a photo of this exact dog from when I visited this nice little village near shanghai
It's always enjoyable to watch your videos! "This is the longest 60m" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
nice..
Where do get you background music?
It's great to see you enjoy your trip in China
Reason that this maglev train cant' derail is that the part of the train (at its bottom) that runs on the track has a cross-section in the shape of a "C" - it clasps about 180-270 degrees around the track (without actually touching the track due to levitation). The levitation is effected by running the same magnetic charge on the track and on that part of the train that runs on it - each of them repels the other and so they do not come in contact.
Very clean in every where❤
Beautiful scenery ❤
Amazing vlog as usual and humble couple ❤❤
