I'm so glad you're visiting Croatia, my husband is Croatian. It's a gorgeous country...I would suggest that you visit the islands of: Brac, Korcula, Mljet and Lastovo if possible. The water is the most beautiful crystal clear water you've every seen! Enjoy!!! Love your videos
@@Ines-uw5gi I've been to Brac and it was gorgeous, I think Hvar is a little too commercialized but I would love to go to vis and Korcula! I hope that they visit some of these places. I suggested Lastovo as well because it's off the beaten track :)
@@firelordplayz The ferry goes to the town of Vis, which is nothing special, it is important to visit Komiza, rent a boat or scooter and tour the whole island. Lastovo, it really is, because I've never been there, and it's right in front of my face. 😂
@@Ines-uw5gi No, Mail- Drevnik is... I have been there quite a few times. Before cars were able to go there. I used to have a family branch and friends in Splits. Sadly, they died out... So I had no more reason to pay a visit to Croatia.
Makarska is a beautiful coastal town to visit a short distance away from Split. Have a bowl of their wonderful mussels at the square, walk up the steps & have mussels at Konova Susvid with a backdrop of Biokovo limestone mountains! Enjoyed our time here! Also have a cone of gelato on your walk back to the promenade!
Croatia is nice pple very friendly…..but the in between small towns that will get you hooked--TROGIR……OPATIJA……..MAKARSKA…..these lovely quaint little towns are just beautiful.
AAARRGGHHH you are finally in Croatia. Please do not skip Dubrovnik, Cavtat, Mlini and take a tour with a car around the peninsula of Peljesac.. I am currently offshore in Mexico, but back on the 17th, if you are still in Croatia by then lets have a beer!

It's so pretty in Croatia. Never been there but my son has. He stayed on the island Brãc. I guess you are visiting there you said? He traveled by train too, and visited Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro, went to Thessaloniki and then to Bulgaria and Romania. I'm a history buff, ancient Greek and Roman antiquity is my passion. Your video is my first time to see Split so up and close. In 2005, I tried to go to Split from Rome, unfortunately the plan failed, another time I missed Balkans tour with a group of friends in 2012. After watching your video, I have no excuse but going to Split this year, probably after peak tourist season.

Half the border with Serbia was establised as late as 1918, when eastern Srijem went to the Serbs.

you missed seeing the antique Salona. Salona had 60,000 inhabitants and was the fourth largest city in the Roman Empire. It is located 6 km from Split and is the birthplace of Emperor Diocletian. Near Salona is the Illyrian fort of the Dalmata tribe, who fought with Rome for 250 years. Today, the Dalmatia region is named after the Dalmata tribe. Enoy in Croatia 🤗

Lovely! Suggest neoprene sea shoes for the beaches guys, quite cheap to buy and very worth it. No sand means very clear water for you to snorkel hopefully! 🤞👍
One of the better countries to visit in Europe, after Greece, Italy and some other nations which generally have more beauty and diversity. Croatia has nice towns. Also enjoy the water, minus the fact there are very little sandy beaches in Croatia
