Thank you for reading about the dark history in the islands of brutal and horrifying slavery on this video. As beautiful as it is (one of my favorite) I am astounded and saddened by what humans did to other humans. Realizing the brutality and disgraceful history is important. The US needs to place some of these same reminders of man’s evil side as slavery in the US was just as brutal and obviously inhumane. Even some of the current politicians in the US need to study what the facts were - slavery was not a trade school as the moron governor of Florida attempted to position. Shameful.
Oh- you think it ended. You talk in past tense. Look at our food supply. Look at booming rates of cancer. Paint stripper approved by FDA in decaf- to make us sick. Much money in treatment. Trust me- nothing has ended, only changed form and shape. Evil is alive and well. Stress levels made high, inflation high, rents high- people working 80 hours a week just to survive and still cannot pay their rent. Buy groceries lately? Yet congress is allowed to trade stocks with tips using a loophole- and some literally can millions in a day by doing so...but the same will lock up a mother for taking a loaf of bread to feed her family. Shameful. That is my rant. Regardless, just go to STJ and enjoy the island.
2017 was Hurricane Maria. Last time I was there. Traveled up and back for 15 years. Glad you made it. Camp out on Cinnamon or hike thru park to Solomon or my favorite-Honeymoon Beach. Lucky Ducks! 🦆🦆
Yes!!!!! Honeymoon beach is the greatest place on earth that I’ve ever been to. I dream of it all of the time. I made my family do the hike to get there and it was so hot and longer than expected, so I thought they were going to kill me. But as soon as we got to Honeymoon Beach, all was forgiven. Love that place.
Brings back a lot of great memories. I love St. John. I didn’t do much hiking like the two of you did. Definitely need to revisit to experience more of the island on foot. Great snorkeling shots of the turtles as well. The Windmill Bar is always a great stop. As you were driving back to the port you past by Longboard, which is one of my favorite spots for food and drinks. Awesome video, I’m glad you two enjoyed it!! 👍🏻
Cornhole, the game is called cornhole. 😀 It's seems to be really big in north Texas; I don't get it. Another great video, made me add another place to my wanna go list. I've been to St. Thomas but St. John looks really nice., but what a terrible and sad history.

Hey guys, you should add Guam and Saipan to your itinerary! We just got back from 5 weeks on those 2 islands in Micronesia.. They're US overseas territories in the Pacific & are the furthest east US overseas territories. Beautiful beaches & great snorkeling there too!😊😎
That beer isn't made in the usvi... but we do have leatherback beer and that it brewed on STX and it's awesome.
Don't forget Kauai, and Maui in Hawaii, and Vieques PR, and American Samoa, Guam, Siapan.

Excellent video-your comments the footage the music-all just right. And yes the island is as beautiful as its history was brutal. Lots of gorgeous places on the mainland as you must know but St. John is in a class all its own! To name an island St. John and then enslave people there?!?! What were the colonizers thinking? And all over the New World, too, the same thing.

The BVI might as well be apart of the USVI if they share so much similarities and are also in close proximity of each other! It makes absolutely no sense for them to be separate other than having two other countries as their head?🤔

St John is my absolute favorite tropical island to visit! Maho Bay brought back many wonderful memories. Including the sand fleas you find as you get closer to the vegetation, the shade is nice but not worth the fleas! Your filming is great! Keep up the good work!

When its best time travel here?
So pretty but also expensive. $5 for a can of Coke is pretty high. Most USA tourists don't vacation in the Virgin Islands unless they are well to do because of the cost.

Yes U.S. most beautiful island! Not like we have very many. Lol Y'all just brought me back to my youth with such fond memories of this island. Went there in 9/1988 on day trip from St. Thomas. Wish we could've stayed there the whole trip. Like chris said so many beaches! We just parked on side of road and tracked through the jungle which was very steep to a small little secluded beach. After all these years I still say St. John is the most beautiful island I've ever been to.

St. Thomas does not hold a candle to St. John. It’s that stunning. Plus, we felt very safe on St. John!

I imagine the left side driving is due to logistics back in the day, it stuck culturally so it still remains today. As an American, I think it’s cool and unique. Stay different!

The eastern end is the most chill which is really saying something cuz the whole island is chill. U picked good music to go with the scenery. We had a lovely vacation on St. John several years ago and touched on several of the beaches and nicer places to eat. Unfortunately I understand that the Cannel Bay Resort is no longer in operation, we really enjoyed staying there.
