When did you go? What dates… I’m looking to go in December for 2 weeks Christmas Day gift for my kids and am hoping for no rain…also I hate hate humidity 😂
That's a great gift!!! We were there in late October 2023. Here is the link for the airbnb owned by a super nice couple that moved from the US! www.airbnb.com/rooms/716842242590827695?adults=2&children=2&location=St.%20John%2C%20U.S.%20Virgin%20Islands%2C%20United%20States&check_in=2024-12-09&check_out=2024-12-12&source_impression_id=p3_1708031125_krxkmIH%2BmFBqlD6j&previous_page_section_name=1001
Couples, Tower Island, Ocho Rios. @@aronanderika Look for couples only resorts. Other resorts, like Sandals, has couples but attracts a lot of swingers and singles.
Just got back from Jamaica last week. Out of 10 countries I've been to, Jamaica takes my #1 spot! Check into Sandals resorts in Jamaica. All inclusive, simply an amazing time!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and the video. We did the Reef Bay Trail, but we did it with the Park Service Guide and took a boat back to Cruz bay. That was a wonderful way to do the reef bay trail! Also, did you see the waterfall and hydrogliphs (sp) ? Again, thanks for sharing, and, expensive or not, it is one of our most favorite destinations! St. John!!
That sounds awesome! If we ever go back we'll look into that. We didn't get a chance to see those two as we were pressed for time, but maybe in the future!
Wait so about $450 ea. airfare from N.M. to St. Thomas..thats a great price. Imagine the fuel cost if you drove that far in a car. How prices are perceived is interesting. Just a generic motel; hotel room in a tourist area are easily $170-$200+ per night w/ few perks. One day hopper tix to Disneyland; DCA is like $150 so $600 x4 small family and can spend easily $20 per meal each person. Believe me you guys got great value. Curious how much are those truck taxis to get from Cruz Bay out to Trunk Bay, Maho etc.. saw something from 2022 saying $12 for individual and $9 if part of bigger group e.g. Cruz Bay to Hawksnest x2 $36 round trip is that in ballpark? We were there 20+ years ago (wanting to go back soon) but if you stay at higher elevation of St. John the humidity is much lower. I remember feeling the increase in humidity every time we descended down to Cruz Bay to eat or shop etc.
We heard the price of the taxis to the beaches from Santa Cruz were about $10 per person each way, however we rented a car so didn't get first hand experience with the taxis!
Oh please give more info on the tent… my kids will love that! Thanks!
Thanks for the history tips!
Our favorite hike

@@aronanderika thank you! 🥰
Just save more pennies and go to Jamaica to an all-inclusive. They're safe and beautiful and the staffs are impeccable.
Jamaica is definitely on our list! We'd love to know about any recommendations you might have.

@@aronanderika Santa Cruz? You were on what island?
It's a 3.5 hr flight from Atlanta non stop. Not a problem for me. You can stay on st.john cheaper than you can stay in Panama city.
