Escalade is great 👍. Don't give up on it. Put in the work on the brakes, and it will be a good tow truck, that is paid for.

Mike...being a assistant manager from Monroe muffler and who's dad worked at General motors for 30 years. The master cylinder needs replacing...the brakes need to be bled in a special order...Check the abs module and you should be good to go...
You really should have changed that driver front caliper/pads/rotor to match the other side!
Yep abs bleed is a must for those. Replace driver caliper check pads and rotors im the rear. That should fix brakes. Not sure how far you want to go but looks like you need shocks, and all the front end parts. 😂 or at least tie rods and check ball joints. You could probably get away with not worrying about the sway bar bushings or links. Those really dont pose a safety issue. I can’t wait to see what you do or dont do 😂.

Replace the other caliper (I think it's frozen), bleed the system, replace those shocks and fix the exhaust leak. It will ride and tow quite nice.
I think you should go through this truck inside and out and fix it up!

I think the escalade is quite nice , its mileage speaks for itself, i think when brand new it was fantastic, it depends what you want out of it, once brakes r sorted you can run it as is,or do much more like interior , ball joints etc belts etc, if its good for the channel id go with more work.

Sort the brakes and a set of shocks not forgetting the welding around the cat and you'll
have a good truck. That's a respectable mileage and must have been cared for to get that far.

Loving the caddy content Mike. Your channel is making leaps and bounds. Could t happen to a nicer person. It’s actually a nice lookin car the Escalade you bought and the mileage just adds more character to the car but also thins the wallet. What ever you decide to do with it you have already done the vehicle proud. She runs well for half a million miles. 👊 will say it again!!! You and Randy work so well together. You guys just bounce off each other. Mike, I recently found out that you were a news anchor. I got ro know of your channel through Randy. As a W204 owner, I enjoy the Merc content but I don't mind the non-Merc cars some of which we don't have over here in the UK. The Caddy deserves a chance to live. It is doing well for the mileage.

Hi Mike Randy confirming what I said was wrong with the front ended when you did a video on the caliper selling it and getting a ford 150 for a great tow vehicle this needs so much work everything on it can be fixed but how much do you want to spend on it great video Mike

Umm, might want to check bleeding process. Every car I've done is the passenger rear first then drivers rear the passenger front and lastly drivers front. And normally don't have to do a ABS bleed if the master cylinder didn't go dry. I would just double check with your local Cadillac service center to be sure.
I agree, you shouldn't have to bleed the ABS pump if you didn't run the master cylinder out of brake fluid
Change both disc's at same time time as they have different metal content hence friction, also brake pads are different with the same result, therefore braking effect different on each side
I would really like to see the escalade in full glory. Fix it. Keep it. Use it as a tow car. 👍

@9:31 the driver rim is bent.. amongst other problems 😆
cap off those loose wires under the hood on caddi....then bleed those brakes and give it another try.....but get it over at randys shop and get it up on the lift and inspect the under belly

Why wouldn't you bleed all the brakes?
Considering some of randys progects the caddy is fine bleed the brakes and check the front end it will be fine new parts for brake would have been been better . They would have not been much $$
Mike use sticky traps they work good in inclosed spaces. Don't use them in open areas dog or ducks might get into them

Mike check out those mice traps on that river site that are plastic with teeth and a little bate station. Called Instant mouse traps. Ive had good luck with the Gerossi brand. They work wonders. I had a bad problem from a housing development being put in behind us and i killed more in a year than i have in my entire life. Peanut butter first and if you get one thats smart enough to get that off the trap and not get caught switch your bate to Pay Day Candy Bar as bate. Caramel makes it stick. Works every time.

I think the Escalade can be a great driver if you just fix things . I prefer older vehicles myself over new and at my age I'm not trying to impress anyone . Spend a little money with fixing it at least you will know what's been done to it .

I think this is possibly great content! A "highest miles Escalade" series would be great. Also put some jucy fruit gum outside of the wrapper in the rat areas. be sure to not touch the gum so the rat does not smell human scent. It will take care of your rat problem. Also put a light in the engine bay.

That question you hate to have to ask while on a drive: “Are we on fire?” 😳
She's a bit grabby to the right side caliper! Replace the other caliper and drive over to AAR HQ to do the abs brake bleed, front shock absorbers, etc. The headliner can be fixed either by you or an upholstery shop. Getting into a Cadillac at $1200 bucks is a pretty good deal if you ask me. Brand new Escalades are 70 to 90 grand. I would keep repairing it -- no rot, no rust, no body damage, and no frame damage.
If 1 Horse maxes out at around 15 Horsepower, and 131.2 Ducks = 1 Horsepower, then realistically, how may Ducks will you need in your backyard to power your 345 Horsepower Escalade to a point where it is safe to drive I wonder? 🤔

The stabilizer rod on the ride control that's not there is a big thing when the weight of the truck goes forward its suppose.to.pump.the front end up...the rod needs replaced.for sure.I wouldn't give up.on her yet
