    Amen to the analysis. Most of the skeptics of the Sabbath or the Ten Commandments, only have the problem with the fourth commandment, which starts with the word remember. God did not make a distinction between the commandments, they are all to be kept by all. Finally, we are all spiritual Israel.

    Ask a dozen Sunday going Christians about the seventh-day Sabbath
    and you'll get MORE than a dozen different answers!
    "Jesus is my sabbath!"
    "Sunday is my sabbath!"
    "Sunday is the Lord’s Day!"
    "The Law was nailed to the cross!"
    "The Sabbath was done away at the cross!"
    "No one knows what day the Sabbath was on!"
    "We worship on Sunday in honor of the resurrection!"
    "The Apostles broke bread on the first day of the week!"
    "Jesus broke the Sabbath showing that it was going to be changed!"
    "God never commanded us to keep the Sabbath day in the New Testament!"
    "Jesus set us free from the bondage of the seventh-day Sabbath!"
    "Christians don't have to keep the 10 commandments of God!"
    "I worship God every day not just the Sabbath day!"
    "No one has ever kept the 10 Commandments!"
    "Jesus never said to keep the Sabbath day!"
    "The Sabbath was only for the Jews!"
    "I'm a New Covenant Christian!"
    "We are not under the Law!"
    "I keep the Law of Love!"
    "Love fulfilled the Law!"
    And WHAT does GOD SAY in response to ALL of these foolish opinions and excuses?
    Exodus 20:8 "REMEMBER the sabbath day, to keep it holy."
    Revelation 14:12 “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”

    Great video! Another supporting argument is that Israel at Sinai represented the community of all those who worshipped God on earth at that time. So if God gave the Sabbath to Israel, He gave it to rhe community of those worshipping Him, regardless of how many Gentiles that community would contain at any point in time.

      However, this truth does not change what a love relationship with Christ is all about. As Paul said, we are now committed to obedience. Rom. 6:15-16. It is our nature with Christ. 2 Cor. 3:18

      @@kylontobias I'm sorry I disappointed you, but the New Covenant is the greater revelation of God's wisdom. (John 14:6) The New Covenant does not give us a new law in that the Torah was wrong, it gave us a new law in that it is based on better promises and given in the life of Christ. This life is then available to us. (2 Cor. 3:18) There is no written law in a New Covenant. Written law is an Old Covenant concept. 2 Cor. 3. That is Paul's whole thesis. We are now in covenant with Christ and no longer separated from Him. Rom. 5
      Was there a written law in Eden? Will there be a written law in Heaven?
      Also, one must come to the realization that keeping the Law does not save you and breaking the Law does not cause you to lose salvation. (Eph. 2:8-9, John 3:18) Salvation is a free gift based on faith alone. This is a vital truth of New Covenant soteriology.
      I believe this realization needs to be clearly taught among all churches, especially our SDA churches.
      Blessings.

      @@BenjaminCruzMusic Though I agree with your understanding of the text, it should be pointed out that Jer. 31:31-34 clearly teaches that the Law in our hearts is the Torah, not just the 10 commandments. The Torah is God's wisdom. (1 Chron. 22:12) Also, the 10 Commandments are not pertinent in the New Covenant. The principles are still there, but the specifics won't make sense in the world to come. To be specific, we will not have servants in Heaven as the 4th Commandment states, also there will be no strangers. The written law has passed away. (2 Cor. 3). However, the moral precepts of holy time set aside is still a part of our Love for God and neighbor. The Seventh day was made holy at creation and is a part of who God is.

      Lookup any Old Testament studies textbook and research the documentary hypotheses. These books were written and assembled from different sources.
      The genesis story is a composite of early and late sources… the latter sources placing things like sabbath observance and dietary laws back into the pre Jewish stories like the creation and the second version of the Noah flood story. Basing your entire religion on ignorance is why I can’t be a fundamental sda ever again.

    Scripture says that "salvation is of the Jews." Does that mean to say- only Jews will be saved? D principle is that "the truth," began w Abraham after the world had gone astray. So God chose Abraham, because Abraham chose Him. This man was faithful in all ways that the Lord had sought 4 people 2 do. The Most High was looking for a man who would "take Him at His Word. Like He found Noah before d flood, to be "faithful," in d same way He chose Abraham. God has no favourites, but anyone who'll come to Him by FAITH, will be saved. That's why He said all we need to do is "believe," so we show our faith by works as James says in chapter 11. ❤

      @@kylontobias: - *Excellent questions.* I’ll give you my take. *Maybe someone else can add more important information.*
      *The Scriptures do not explicitly say what clock time of the day we should observe a Sabbath. Certain regions are in the same time zone, and therefore they observe it at the same period.*
      *Days are defined from sunset to sunset “local time” or from darkness to darkness.* - *IMPORTANT REMARK* - *“sunset to sunset LOCAL TIME”*
      *Edited:* - *The only places on earth where the Sun never sets and these are:* Arctic Circle (Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Alaska); Antarctica; Svalbard, Norway; Iceland; Alaska (USA); Greenland; Nunavut (Canada); Yakutsk, Russia.
      *I believe that these people living in areas crossed by or above the 60th parallel [parts of Alaska, Canada, and Sweden are examples] have been advised that it is proper to begin the observance of the Sabbath at 6pm in cases where actual sunset time varies extremely.*
      *A helpful chart identifying the areas crossed by or above the 60th parallel can be found at* en.wikipedia.org/wiki/60th_parallel_north
      *The key to properly account for this is to understand God’s definition of a “Day,” which is a period of time from “sunset to sunset”* [Genesis 1:5, 8, 13, 19, 23, 31; Leviticus 23:32].
      *The Jews in the time of Jesus continued to recognize this pattern.* One can see this pattern which involves the burial of Jesus. Joseph of Arimathea places Jesus’ body in a nearby tomb just before sunset [John 19:42]. Luke 23:54 reads, “That day was the Preparation, and the Sabbath drew near.” NKJV. The fact that the Sabbath began at sundown also explains why the two thieves’ death were hastened [John 19:31].
      Exodus 20:11, 31:12-17 shows 6 ordinary days. *The plural of yom can be used to communicate a longer period of time [e.g., “in those days”]. Adding a number here would make no sense. Clearly, in Exodus 20:11 where a number is used with days, it unambiguously refers to 6 earth-rotation days.*
      *Adam was created on day 6, lived through day 7, and then died when he was 930 years old. If days 6 and 7 were epochs, this would make no sense.*
      The 7-day weekly cycle is independent of the “monthly cycle” and from all astronomical periods and passed from the ancient Jews to the Christian era.
      *The reason a new day starts at **12:00** goes back to ancient Egypt when the day was measured using sundials.* The shadow on the face of a sundial tells the time, and the shadow depends on where the sun is in the sky. Since the highest point of the day was noon, the opposite has to be midnight that was when the 12 started over again, so that's why the day starts at midnight.
      The Hebrew word יום (yōm, pronounced YOHM) is a noun meaning "day." It is one of the earliest words we encounter in the Bible, as it appears toward the beginning of the creation narrative in Genesis 1:5: "God called the light day (יום), and the darkness he called night. It is also part of the name of one of the most important Jewish holidays, Yom Kippur (יום כיפור), or "Day of Atonement."
      *It always means a literal day. Genesis 1 is clearly historical narrative. There are no exceptions. In the Creation account, yōm is associated with day one, day two, day three, etc.* Moses also makes use of the following expressions: evening and morning [see Genesis 1:5, 8, 13, etc.], light and darkness [see Genesis 1:5], and night and day [see Genesis 1:5]. He could hardly have made it clearer that he was referring to literal days.
      “Evening and morning” [used for each of the six days of creation] together always mean an ordinary day everywhere else in Scripture.
      *In the Bible the days were named 1st day, 2nd day -etc.* Read Genesis 1:3,13,19,23, and 31 and Genesis 2:2-3.
      *God called the names of the months of the year according to their given Ordinal Numbers* [e.g.: First month, Second Month, Third month, etc., as in Noah’s time]. However, after the Babylonian captivity, pagan names [Nisan, Iyar, Sivan, Tammuz, etc.] have been substituted for the God-given names. Compare these new names with those used by Noah [Genesis 7:11; 8:4, 5, 13, 14].
      Hebrews 4:4 twice refers to the seventh day as “seventh” or “seventh day,” The use of the numeral “seventh” for the seventh day of the week is common in the LXX [Gen. 2:2, 3; Exod. 16:26, 27, 29, 30; 20:10, 11; 23:12; 24:14; 31:15, 17; 34:21; 35:2; Lev. 23:3; Deut. 5:14; 2 Sam. 12:18; and possibly Esther 1:10].
      *While “sixth day” is the most usual Old Testament appellation for Friday.* See Genesis 1:31; 2:2; Exodus 16:5, 22, 29.
      *In the scripture, the day before the onset of Shabbat is called "Preparation Day"* [Mark 15:42; Luke 23:54; John 19:31].
      In the Vulgate, a Latin translation of the Bible dating from the fourth century, we find the following names for the days of the week. Sunday is designated prima sabbati, See Vulgate, Matthew 28:1; Mark 16:9 or una sabbati, See Vulgate, Luke 24:1; John 20:1, 19; Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:2.
      *Friday is called parasceve, a direct transliteration from the Greek word paraskeuē, which, as was noted above, indicates preparation for the Sabbath.* Names for the other days of the week are lacking. See Vulgate, Matthew 27:62; Mark 15:42; Luke 23:54; John 19:31.
      Luke 23:54 ‘And it was the day of the Parasceve, and the sabbath drew on.’ Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA).
      *In nonbiblical ecclesiastical Latin, the days were likewise grouped around the Sabbath.* For example, Sunday was named feria prima. Faith Wallis,- “Chronology and Systems of Dating,” in Medieval Latin: An Introduction and Bibliographical Guide, eds. Frank Anthony Carl Mantello and A. G. Rigg (Washington, DC: CUA Press, 1996), 385.
      *“As far as I know, in the various changes of the calendar THERE HAS BEEN NO CHANGE IN THE SEVEN DAY ROTA OF THE WEEK, WHICH HAS COME DOWN FROM VERY EARLY TIMES. There have been attempts in the French Revolution and in Russia to alter this cycle.”* - (Astronomer Royal, Greenwich Royal Observatory, London, 4th March, 1932).
      *What does this also prove?* - *That the Sabbath is NOT based on the lunar cycle, showing the lunar Sabbath theory to be FALSE.*

    MALACHI 3:6: I am God I CHANGE not....
    HEBREWS 9:17 says that a WILL takes EFFECT ONLY AFTER the person who MADE it is DEAD. NO one can change it after he dies.
    According to DANIEL 7:25 man shall THINK to change God's law.
    I dont know the whole Bible but so far, I have not seen where God stated that He had changed the ORDER of HIS CREATION by removing His REST day, the 7TH DAY SABBATH which He BLESSED and SANCTIFIED (sanctify means set apart or declare holy, make sacred, consecrate etc) from the 7th day of the week to the first day of the week and remove the FIRST DAY of the week and placed it on the seventh day of the week and also removed the first day creation which was LIGHT and placed it on the 7th day also without any EVIDENCE of Him taking the blesdings from the SEVENTH DAY SABBATH and place it on the first day that He removed to the seventh day.
    Again, God MAGNIFIED His WORD above His NAME. PSALM 138:2 And He does NOTHING without He reveals it to His PROPHETS. As I have said that I am still learning. Therefore, if anyone can prove me otherwise, I would be grateful to be informed. God bless.

      ( See Hebrews 3 & 4 .. )
      Ezekiel 20 : 12 - 16
      12) "Moreover also I gave them My Sabbaths, to be A SIGN between Me and them, that they might know that I am YHWH that sanctify them.
      13) But the house of Israel rebelled against me *IN THE WILDERNESS: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and My Sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them IN THE WILDERNESS, to consume them.
      14) But I wrought for My Name's Sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, in whose sight I brought them out.

    Who are the Israel of God?
    There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
    And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
    {Galatians 3:28-29}
    For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
    But he is a Jew, *which is one inwardly and circumcision is that of the heart in the spirit* and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
    {Romans 2:28-29}
    Wherefore remember, that ye being IN TIME PAST Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
    That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the COMMONWEALTH of ISRAEL, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
    BUT now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh *by the blood of Christ*
    For he is our peace, who hath made both [Jew and Gentile] one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
    Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments [not the ten commandments] contained in ordinances; for to make in himself *of twain* ONE NEW MAN, so making peace;
    And that he might reconcile BOTH unto God in ONE BODY by the cross, *having slain the enmity thereby*
    And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
    For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
    Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but *fellowcitizens* with the saints, and of the household of God;
    [The commnwealth of Israel ... Jeshurun]
    {Ephesians 2:11-19}
    Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
    But *in every nation* he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
    {Acts 10:34-35}
    Again...
    But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
    For there is no respect of persons with God.
    {Romans 2:10-11}
    Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For *they are not all Israel* which are of Israel:
    *Neither because they are the seed of Abraham* are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
    That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but *the children of the promise* are counted for the seed.
    {Romans 9:6-8}
    Now we, [Galatians] brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.
    But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.
    {Galatians 4:28-29}
    For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
    And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and
    upon *the Israel of God*
    {Galatians 6:15-16}
    And they [the Jew] also, *if they abide not still in unbelief* shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in *again*
    {Romans 11:23}
    For ye are all the children of God *by faith in Christ Jesus*
    For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
    {Galatians 3:26-27}

    A true israelite is one who is a branch of the true Israel (Jesus) ,so if a gentile becomes a branch by faith ,the sabbath applies to him as well just as a jew who is a branch of that same Israel

      @@kylontobias Romans 4:15 tells us that where there is no law there is no transgression and yet Cain’s transgression was counted and so were the transgressions of the people in the days of Noah. They were all punished for their transgressions… how could they be punished for their transgressions if there was no law? That would directly contradict both Romans 4:15 and a commonsensical understanding of justice. How could people be punished for something they were never told was wrong. The law clearly existed before Mount Sinai.
      Furthermore, we know that man was made on the 6th day and that the Sabbath was made for man (Mark 2:27) on the 7th day. So God made the Sabbath for man after he made man and He didn’t tell man about it? That is completely illogical.
      God told Adam, Eve, and their children about sacrifices (Genesis 4:3-4), but didn’t tell them about the Sabbath which He made for them?
      God told Cain about the 6th commandment (Genesis 4:10-11), but didn’t tell him about the Sabbath which He made for him?
      God told Noah about clean and unclean animals (Genesis 7:2), but didn’t tell him about the Sabbath which He made for him?
      God told Abraham about all sorts of commandments, statutes, and laws (Genesis 26:5), but didn’t tell him about the Sabbath which He made for him?
      God told Joseph about the 7th commandment (Genesis 39:9-10), but didn’t tell him about the Sabbath which He made for him?
      In Exodus 16 the people did not keep God’s Sabbath and in verse 28 God asks “How long will you refuse to keep my commandments and my laws?” What laws? Mount Sinai had not yet taken place and the Israelites already had commandments and laws?
      God’s law has always existed and it was given to man to keep them from sin so that they would not suffer. God’s law is a blessing and delight to those who love Him (Psalm 119). The Sabbath specifically is a reminder that God will sanctify us apart from our works just like He sanctified the Sabbath (Exodus 31:13, Ezekiel 20:12). The Sabbath has existed since Adam and will continue through eternity (Isaiah 66:23) as a great blessing of rest and a reminder of our loving Creator.

      Cain knew about the 6th commandment and Joseph knew about the 7th commandment. How did they know about these if the 10 commandments were not given until Moses? There is much more that goes into a covenant than just laws… the laws existed before, but the specific institution of that covenant did not.
      So you still hold to the belief that God made the Sabbath for man, but didn’t tell man about it and instead told man about all sorts of other laws. *Most Christians who observe Sunday as their Sabbath always end up in a discussion about the law, with them stating* - *”we are no longer under the law, you are trying to be saved by works",* - *and they completely miss the *VITAL point* of “FAITH” regarding the seventh day Sabbath.* Let us look at this key point they overlook.
    Genesis 2:1-3 “Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on *the seventh day* God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on *the seventh day* from all his work which he had made. And God *blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it:*- *[WHY]* - *because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.”*
    The Biblical creation account is the *only* place where we learn of the 7-day weekly cycle.
    *GOD,* - [NB not men] *set up the 7-day weekly cycle and He "blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it."* - *He made the 7th day a HOLY day.* What God has made you cannot change [Eccl 7:13; God does not change Mal 3:6] God is not man that He should lie [Num. 23:19] The word of God stands forever [Isa 40:8] The Lord's word is firmly fixed [Ps 119:89].
    GOD sanctified the 7th-day of the week. Nowhere in scripture did God sanctified the 1st day [Sunday]. *So, why would any sensible person say, "no, that doesn't matter. Or would you say, "Ok Lord, you have made it holy, but I’ll set aside the 1st day and OBSERVE Sunday instead of your 7th-day Sabbath.*
    *Remember what Jesus said?* In Mark 2:27-28 'he said unto them, *the sabbath was made for man,* and not man for the sabbath: *Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.'*
    *Some Christians miss the truth of these words of Christ.* For some strange reason, Christians use this verse against Sabbath keeping, *just because Jesus said that man was not made for the Sabbath.* - *That is correct,* - *man was NOT made for the Sabbath* - *because the Sabbath was made FOR man.* - *Use logic for a moment.* - *The Lord MADE the Sabbath FOR humankind. - He made a specific day - the 7th day - as a holy day in which you can receive a blessing.* - *So why would you now turn your back on God and say,* - *"thanks Lord, but I don't want your gift."?* - *If so, you are going to miss out on a great blessing - one that may even cost your eternal life itself.*
    *Question:* - *What attribute does God have?* - *He is HOLY right?* [Isaiah 6:3; I Sam 2:2; Rev 4:8].* - *What makes anything else holy?* - *It is the presence of our holy God* [Exodus 3:5]. *So, it was only the presence of God that made the ground where Moses stood holy.* - *Then what do you think makes the 7th day Sabbath holy?* - *It is the very sanctifying presence of God.* - *God sends His Spirit and angels to help and guide us other days too.* - *BUT NO OTHER DAY HAS THE SPECIAL SANCTIFYING PRESENCE of God like the 7th day of the week.* -- *Which is why Jesus said that He is also •"Lord of the Sabbath."* - *THE OTHER SIX DAYS WERE MERELY ORDINARY WORK DAYS THAT THE LORD CREATED.* - *But the 7th day is a day all by itself, in that it was set apart for holy use and fellowship with the Lord.* -- *Again, which is why Jesus never said He was Lord of any other day, but the Sabbath.*

      Mathew 5: 17Think not that I am come to make void the law or the prophets; I am not come to make void, but to fulfil. 18For verily I say unto you, Until the heaven and the earth pass away, one iota or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law till all come to pass. 19Whosoever then shall do away with one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of the heavens; but whosoever shall practise and teach [them], *he* shall be called great in the kingdom of the heavens.

We are now being taught that the good that I would , I do not but the evil that I hate that I do, that this is the true Christian experience. Thus we cry out : O' wretched man that I am. Who shall deliver me from this body of death. Does a Christian cry out to be delivered from his connection with Christ? We have been sold a bag of goods that is not the true gospel.

    Matthew 8:10-12 ? Are we sure we won't be cast out by holding to the Old Covenant? Using old laws restated in the New Testament doesn't do anything but make me wonder about the new laws that aren't in the 10 and why was the Sabbath not restated? Everything but it was and we have:
    1;Believe in Jesus for Salvation and
    2; Go and make disciples of men, baptising them in the name of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.
    Keeping Gods Law is more than the 10 and the New Covenant seems to REPLACE, rather than RENEW the Old Covenant when I read the New Testament without reading my previous beliefs into the text.
    Context is very important.

      You haven't learned anything even after watching these presentations. What a shame!
      Now of the things which we have spoken this is *the sum* We have such an high priest, (of the order of Melchizedek; chapter 7) who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty *in the heavens*
      A minister of *the sanctuary* and of the true tabernacle, *which the Lord pitched and not man*
      For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.
      (His life; "no greater love"...)
      For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests [Levitical] that offer gifts according to the law:
      Who serve unto the example and *shadow* of *heavenly things* as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make *the tabernacle* for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to *the pattern* shewed to thee in the mount.
      *But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry* by how much also *he* is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
      *For if that first covenant had been faultless then should no place have been sought for the second*
      For *finding fault with them* he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make *a new covenant* with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
      Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
      For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; *I will put my laws into their mind and write them in their hearts* and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
      {Hebrews 8:1-10} (Jer 31:31-33)
      Not a new law, but a new ministration of the law of God. (not the law of Moses.)

      Really? What law did Jeremiah prophesy of and witnessed by Paul?
      Is Jesus divided against the Father? God forbid.
      The change was in the priesthood and the ministration. Not God's commandments which are immutable.

    "The sabbath was made for man" is not the complete verse. It continues... " not man for the sabbath" so in reality Jesus is saying that man was not made for the sabbath. So if I was not made for the sabbath and I am obligated to commit myself to what I was made for, the question is what am I made for? I was made for what meets my need for salvation which is the ultimate purpose of it all.

    • @annettemacintosh117

      The sabbath was not made to be a burden to man is what Mark 2:27b is saying (1 John 5:2,3) but to be a delight (Isaiah 58:13,14) for God blessed the Sabbath and made it holy for mankind (Exodus 20:10,11) why? Because He is the creator God, that’s what He commands us to remember. Breaking the Sabbath is denying that we are created by God in His image and instead, embracing satans many and varied creation theories, one of which teaches that humans evolved from apes which is rather an insult to God, a direct assault on Gods character.

      Now in John 14:15-21 Jesus says if you love Me you will keep My commandments and John 15:16 He says that He has kept His Father’s commandments and we are to do likewise, so where are the two scriptures which says if you love Me you will break My commandments and that Jesus never kept the Father’s commandments and so neither should we do so which is in opposition to 1 John 2:3-6; John 15:10 please?
