During the wait, time can seem as if it passes ever so slowly. From our human point of view-especially in today’s Instagram world-anything less than instant is slow.
For 180 years, Adventists have been preaching and proclaiming the Second Coming of Christ. While many wait in anticipation for this life-changing event, others can feel like that long-awaited day is still an eternity to come.
In this video, Pastor Ted Wilson, president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, explores the reality of Christ’s Second Coming and encourages listeners that it is still possible to wait in hope for His return.

Erick, please feel free to fact check what I am about to say.
From the inception of the church the pioneers have been teaching the IMMINENT return of Christ! Not just that He will return (which all Christians believe) but that it's imminent!
Imminent means it's about to happen for example you go outside and see storm clouds and you know that rain fall is imminent.
My point is, it's been approximately 180 years since this is being said so obviously Jesus' return was not imminent for our pioneers which they claimed (remember what imminent means) so clearly they were wrong in teaching this and we are wrong to teach the same thing today.
We know Jesus is coming back, we just don't know if it's imminent or not. He will come according to His sovereign design and decree. We aren't privy to that information.
More importantly, as it pertains to "getting prepared" I would implore you to do a study of 'Union with Christ' and you will find that when we are 'in Christ' we are already ready.
Please fact-check me, examine what I have suggested. It's time for you to start thinking more critically. Best Regards to you!

It is important to keep in mind that before Christ returns, Satan will come posing as Christ, saying that he changed the Sabbath from the seventh day of the week to the first day of the week.
Malachi 3:6 KJV
Acts 20:7 will set you straight.
@lenblack Hi there! God organized days from sundown to sundown. You can read about this in the first few verses of Genesis. “Upon the first day” implies that they had already been together worshipping on Sabbath, Saturday, the sun was setting leading into the first day of the week, which is Sunday. They broke bread and Paul continued to preach until midnight after which he planned to depart in the morning, which was still Sunday.
God wrote the commandments in stone, not paper or any other material that would disintegrate, with His own finger. He spoke it audibly with His own voice. His law is the foundation of His government and character. He’s perfect and does not change (Malachi 3:6). Even if He did, which is an impossibility, don’t you think the announcement that He had changed the Sabbath would be louder than a verse mentioning the breaking of bread and preaching on the first day? Preaching can take place anytime. The fourth commandment is about rest as well as convening in God’s presence. Blessings, my friend.
@@melpu310 The problem is the time keeping was no longer sundown to sundown as evidenced with the phrase "midnight". The new day starts at midnight not sundown. Sabbath was also a rest day not a day for preaching. It wasn't that the Sabbath was Changed but fulfilled, big difference.
@lenblack The disciples kept the biblical definition of a day (Luke 23:53-55), as well as do the modern Jews still keep it today.
Jesus said, “Think not that I am come to destroy the Law or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.” He goes on to say, “Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments and shall teach men so, he shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven.” Heaven doesn’t look favorable upon those who teach men to break God’s commandments.
Jesus fully kept all of the commandments as an example to us, as well as to empower us to be able to keep them and to be fit for heaven.
All you have to do is type in the word commandment into biblegateway and you will see how many times in the New Testament we are told to keep the commandments.
There actually has been an attempt to change God’s law as evidenced by the whole Sunday keeping Christian world with the exception of a small minority, as well as being predicted in Daniel 7:25. This information is very easy to find. A quick search for Constantine, Sabbath to Sunday, will send you well on your way.

YES, those that are alive and remain will go UP IN THE CLOUDS to meet Jesus in the AIR. My old flat feet are off the ground we see each other meeting Jesus Christ the Lord, and then we go up thither to the 3rd Heaven. It doesn't get any better than that. Jesus comes at every one's time,coz when a person dies till Jesus's coming it is only one second for that person, those who died 1000 years ago will feel as if he slept just 1 second. So to say Jesus comes at every age. To prepare for His coming we do not need to wait because He comes for every one at the same time.
Jesus has been coming for the last 2,000 years.
And the time is soon, there will only be two choices! Jesus life and satan death, which do you choose? God wants you to choose life. Won’t you choose life dear friend. God loves you so very much ❤️🌹
Our time is not like the Lord's time who lives in eternity. He gave us the signs to look for so we won't be deceived. I'm 68 years old. I have never seen the world in the awful state it is in today. The first warning Jesus gave was about deception. Are there people claiming to be Jesus? Yes. Are people being drawn to churches to experience miracles? Yes. Remember the Asbury College revival? There will be true revivals and false revivals. There is false "speaking in tongues" that people think they have to do to look like a "special" Christian and glorify self. There is demonic presense in some churches that they think is the work of the Holy Spirit There is every manner of sexual deviance. Selfishness... you name it. May the Lord give everyone eyes to see.
