As soon as I moved from CA to FL I told myself I was going to buy a gun that would absolutely not be CA legal, and when I saw the PMR-30 I knew I had to have it. It's been a great gun, and after an initial learning curve on loading the mags I've not had any issues with it through several hundred rounds! It's such a fun pistol and at 30 rounds a mag, it's almost tiring to go through one at the local range, where you are only allowed one shot every two seconds. I am considering putting the MCarbo feed ramp in it, but it's been running so well I don't know if it would do anything more than take up money that could be spent on more ammo. I put a red dot on it, but am actually going to take it off because the fiber optic sights are amazing and I think I prefer them more. If you're thinking of buying one I say take the plunge! Load and unload the mags a few times to learn the right way to do it and you won't regret it! The thing is a beast, and always turns heads at the range because it's pretty loud and spits fire like a dragon. Also picked up the CMR-30 to go with it, and it's a nice little power couple.
Researching firearms for 18 months got me more & more interested in getting a KelTec as my first pistol. The PMR30 caught my imagination, & I ultimately settled on getting the CP33 as my first firearm a month ago. It's fun to learn a new skill at the range!
Kel-Tec should make a PMR 40 chambered in .22LR, 40 rounds, relocate the magazine release near the trigger, keep the fiber optic sights, thin out the grip, and have a threaded barrel for a silencer option. This would be the most dangerous handgun in history.
They already do, it's called the CP33, though it's 33 rounds rather than 40. The problem with your 40 round idea is that 22 Mag and 22LR has the exact same outside diameter and stack in the magazine to the same height.
Dear Keltec, I love my PMR-30, but it's time for a refresh. It's time to take the industry by storm and introduce a DA/SA 22 magnum with decocker, 30 round double stack metal magazine, optic ready, threaded barrel, and picatinny rail pistol to the family. There are not enough manufacturers making handguns for the awesome 22 wmr round. If you make this thing quality built and reliable, it won't just be another gun, it'll be a WEAPON! I'd be first in line to buy it dooming my other pistols to collect dust. There will be nothing else on the market like it. I mean, look at the market... striker fired this /striker fired that Glock clones. BORING! 🥱. Say what you want about Keltec, but saying Keltec is not innovative is an exercise in futility. Keep the tradition alive and make this handgun come to life. Observe how the firearm community is raving about the Walther WMP and imagine what this creation could be in comparison.
Mcarbo kit. It’s great but kinda expensive and finicky to install. They can do it for $150 I think but they do have a great video on the full kit. Mcarbo is pretty innovative
Many have tried to tame the WMR dilemma. Ruger tried and failed. Kel tec is on the verge of a breakthrough if we can build a reliable reputation on this platform. It would be MY EDC if I could go more than 100 rounds without a failure to feed, regardless kel tec has earned my respect.
I can mag dump four magazines in a row of varying rounds from 30 grain to 45 grain, without a single hang up. No MCarbo upgrades, though they’re sitting in my toolbox waiting…
@@respektetoutlavi714 must be luck of the draw. But since I commented this, smith and Wesson just realized their own potential and made one with the exact same quals as keltec. I look toward to seeing what the result is.
@@doughesson I have only had 2 failures to feed on mine and I know it was operator error. I just purchased the mcarbo kit and will have them do the upgrade.

The PMR 30 would still be more dangerous than what you're describing because 22 WMR is twice as powerful as 22 lr.
I had a 2-door JK like that. Best car ever.
You had a 2 door rubicon or just a two door jeep?
I love my PMR-30!
What ammo do you use?

It’s his favorite fun gun too 🙄🤣
Мне понравился.
I haven’t seen a Kel Tec In stores for a while
They're starting to show up now. Saw a new P-32 last week locally.
They have a CP-33 at the Scheels near me, and at Shiptons they have like 8 Sub-2000
if i buy that gun does she come with it? 😍

Ahhh I’ve been debating this and the ruger 5.7 for quite some time now and I think I’m going with keltec
Do yourself a favor and don’t
22 Mag is a hell of a lot cheaper than 5.7, but 5.7 is a hell of a lot more powerful and reliable.
get a Kel-Tec P50 instead lol
@@hoppinggnomethe4154 too huge and bulky
This would be the coolest thing if it actually worked

Never made it through a mag without light primer strikes.
Oil it
Mcarbo kit. And yeah, clean & lightly oil
NICE👌
Hey, KT, make PMR30-alike in 7.62x25!
Your P15 is a complete fiasco!
i owe 2 myself and is my personal carry
Hopefully I can get some answers here, since I can't get a response on Instagram ‼️Are there any new updates/upgrades for the PMR 30

Mine runs great 👍👍
