A lot of people have asked how the accuracy is on the PMR-30 so we made a video! For more information on the PMR-30 visit: keltecweapons.com/our-guns/pis...
We love the PMR-30 so much so that we made an optic rail for it. We have tested and tested and are now releasing our own rail for the PMR-30. It lets you use a wider range of reddots with picatinny mounts. We cant wait to see what KelTec does next!
@HitOrMissEtc so the incapability of the two rifles not being able to fire the other rifles round lies not in the barrel but in the chamber diameter itself? so a rechambered .22 barrel will accept a .22 magnum round?
you guys promised a 22lr conversion kit for this gun when you released it. I think that would seal the deal for purchasing this kind of gun for many of us. If we could practice or varmint shoot with 22lr, and carry with 22wmr, it would completely change those who would be interested in this gun... Who wouldn't buy a 30 round 22lr pistol? with option of shooting .22 wmr?
So i bought a pmr-30 about a year ago, had a sexy silver slide too, and have only shot it about twice. The reason for that is im getting excellent feeding and ejection, low recoil, but quite literally 6-13 in. groups... at 10 yards. So is that something thats normal? I bought another barrel and slide and the group shrank alot but any other handgun i've shot including my hipoint 40 cal pistol can get smaller groups, was using that cci maxi-mag 40 grain ammo too.
@IPFR33LY59 True, the differnces are slight, but important .22LR vs .22WMR .223 bullet dia .224 .225 neck dia .240 .225 base dia .241 .275 rim dia .291 .040 rim thick .046 .590 case length 1.052 .985 total length 1.350 The bullet is made different also. .22lr is heeled so that when placed in the case it is the same diameter as the case. .22wmr entire bullet is placed inside the case. .22lr fired in a .22wmr chamber will result in a case split because there is too much room in the chamber.
This is very encouraging ---- since 90% of your poi are a bit low & right ----- are you pulling the trigger right or are the sights slightly off? The PMR30 is my idea of a backpack gun or woods carry --- if NOT in LARGE predator country. If it can "hit" a squirrel at 25 yds it may be the "as close to perfect" survival gun, 18 inch barrel 22Lr ballastics out of a 4 inch pistol @
i picked up two PMR-30s this week for $425 each (One Tungsten and one Burnt Bronze).. im beyond excited to finally have found two.. let alone one that wasn't scalper prices. Only thing i've noticed is, on one of them, the front sight isnt center.. but it looks like i can adjust that - any instruction from Kel Tec University on how to do so?
wish you guys could pump these things out faster. My friend has one paid in full who knows when he will get it though. I love the flash those 22 mags give off.
pretty hard to find one in the shops because they don't want to buy the ones that are for sale from gunbroker. I work at a gunstore and I have found many of them for sale just not at the prices we're willing to pay for from private sellers. Retail value is around $400 in that area the only ones we can find are around $600-$700. Not really good for resale, but they are out there.
I've looked everywhere online for a year, nobody has them in stock. Where did you see 2 for sale and are they being sold higher than msrp? I'm sure they've got some rediculous unrealistic price.
Nice video ! I am on line waiting ... Have you guy thought on PMR sub compact !!! HUM ? My Idea ! Do I get one ? Great Products ! Kel Tec It makes feel proud to be a Floridian.
WELL, ITS 2019 and mine is on point, I did get the upgraded threaded barrel W/that Starwars cone at the end ( flash reducer ) and the recommended Burris FF3. And I am truly impressed. at 13.5 meters my groups are sub 50.mm and at 33meters ring a 78mm swinger 26 out of 30,22 of 30 with mixed ammo. Also got the CMR and she is good to go and I got it used. Runs like a champ but only iron sights on it now but got a compact 4x12x40 coming this week..KEL-TEC if you need a real marksman hit me up would love to do a video of the real capabilities of the PMR and CMR for small game and or defense, my PMR is my back up firearm because it weighs nothing and forget its in my pack sometimes. (joking I know where all my firearms are at all times but loaded it so light you just don't feel it on your person).
Is there a threaded barrel version planned? I could use a suppressed version of this for my nuisance wildlife control work. A very nice addition to the KelTec line of firearms!
I constantly get ftfs, even with 40 grain ammo and tapped mags. Other people have complained about this as well. Is this something we have to live with or does KelTec have a solution?
I was wondering what the Trigger is like? And how much pull before the Sear breaks? I really want one of these bad boys. I'm seeing prices as low as $299.00 with shipping? Can't beat that meat!
@IPFR33LY59 Yes. Even though a .22lr is .223 bore, it works fine. Many people have re-chambered old sharps rifles or that were .22lr. Re-chambering a .22lr to say a .22 hornet, .222 rem, or .223 rem is not a good idea only because the .22lr is not able to handle centerfire pressures. For the most part, shooting the .22wmr through a .223 barrel will result in good accuracy. I have a pistol that has two different cylinders. I can shoot both 22lr and 22wmr just by changing the cylinder.
Hickock45 seems to pull off amazing shots with it. My own specimen is sloppy and keyholes the no longer recommended ammo in this video, even with the new barrel. Of course, you have plenty of follow-up shots you can make. Try the CCI 30 gr ammo, ibstead.
Not to be a dead horse,but-12,000 units a year is only 233 pistols a week for a market of 3.5 million shooting entusiasts. I shot a PMR 30 this past weekend w/ Team KelTec in FL and it performed very well. I was very impressed with the KSG shotgun also. KelTec is trying to meet demand but thier production is limited. Hopefully they can expand to meet the market sooner rather than later.....
Great video! kel tec rules, too bad we cant all be a huge supplier that can keep up with the worlds demand..im still glad they exist though, really innovative products! :)
I generally don't trust a 3 shot group, but who shoots 30 shot groups? :-) I like my PMR-30 a lot. I put a Crimson Trace CMR-201 laser on it and it makes for a very fun plinker. I might try shooting it from a bench rest at 7 yards and make a comparison video with the laser. I'd guess maybe 30 rounds into a ragged hole if I do my part.
I will never buy another Kel-Tec as long as I live because I bought a sub2k some months ago and the first time I took it to the range out of 3 different types of 9mm ammo ranging from Fiocci-F.P.C. I experienced over 20 failed ejects out of 100rds which in turn marred my ejection port from the polymer to the metal. I sent it in for repairs with a letter of specifics as requested and 3 weeks later i received my weapon with a polished feed ramp and the same marred eject port.....
Cool Breeze I paid $379 on sale. Mines been great. I keep the slide lubed and run good ammo. Loading magazines properly is important too. Some people will run less than 30 rounds to like 25-28 to help it feed better too, if needed.
Most of them on armslist or gunbroker are 1k plus at the moment... I pick mine up next week! Was on a 1 year waiting list and not getting dicked to bad by my guys. $500 ;-) I'll happily pay it
owned mine for a couple years now...runs VERY WELL W/GOOD AMMO! but, it dont like the cheap stuff!!! with good ammo,THIS GUN WILL EAT E'M, AS FAST AS YOU CAN PULL THE TRIGGER!!!!! WITH GOOD AMMO, I WOULD CARRY THIS AS A BACK-UP, ALL DAY LONG!!!!!!!
I wish you would really focus on manufacturing these a top priority. Your MSRP is 415 meaning the street price should be less then that. However all of the ones I do come across are $480 or more. If you made more of what seems to be an incredibly popular pistol the availability would go up & the dealers would have to stop price gouging us. Please think about it. I am a Kel Tec owner & as always a fan.
Kel Tec, I love your guns but why is it so damn hard to find em???? When I asked for this and the KSG Bull Pup my dealer literally laughed at me and I don't like to buy auction or internet guns. I own a Sub 2000 and I got lucky cause when I ordered it through Gander Mtn they were not even supposed to order that gun. I also love my PF9. Just do a better job at distribution please....
We love the PMR-30 so much so that we made an optic rail for it. We have tested and tested and are now releasing our own rail for the PMR-30. It lets you use a wider range of reddots with picatinny mounts. We cant wait to see what KelTec does next!
I absolutely love mine! I have put 250 rounds thru it in one sitting with no failures! It is very accurate!
@KelTecWeapons That will be great. Will anxiously wait for this. Thanks for building a great product at a very competitive price.
you teasers, I held one of these last week that was on hold for someone else, so light, so sweet cant wait till mine comes home...
I have been waiting for one for a while now cant wait for the call saying its in... I look forward to this and hopefully a tmrw to go with it.
bought 2 today.
can't wait to pick them up!
Ordered and paid for 2 on January 22, 2011. This vid makes me drool. Can't wait to sell my son's AMT as soon as the PMR arrives!
Keep doing these vids, i'm already waiting to buy another two guns from y'all because of em.!
I have been waiting awhile on one of these please get them out!
Just saw it at shot show and it looks awesome.they need to hurry up and start the mass production! these guys are really the best bang for the buck.
Great vid Chad. I'm looking into one of these fun guns.
@HitOrMissEtc so the incapability of the two rifles not being able to fire the other rifles round lies not in the barrel but in the chamber diameter itself? so a rechambered .22 barrel will accept a .22 magnum round?

DieselFume1 you would carry this unreliable jam o matic ? That's crazy.
only unreliable if you load the magazines wrong LOL
Load mags correct and use 40 grain min bullet weight. No issues . Diesel get your facts straight.
B&H Gun Rack in Merritt Island, FL (probably the biggest gun dealer near the Kel-Tec plant) might be able to ship to your local FFL dealer.
I appreciate your recommendation of ammo for my Kel-Tec PMR30. However i am still waiting for ya'll to make them available for purchase.......
can't wait to see them !
Mine shoots low and to the left. Should I return it for yo to check it out?
im just wondering if it will have a threaded barrel for a suppressor that would be awesome ..
any plans on making this gun or a gun like it CA compliant if i was to choose a 22 i would most defiantly pick this, also the pf-9
@HitOrMissEtc so what is the diameter difference? it can't be more than a few thousanths correct?
Very nice!
I can't wait...oh, yes I can...it's been nearly a year since I ordered mine.
:)
Ok anyone know where any new productions are. Seen a few on gb. Really want one but the gb prices are in the five and a half and up range right now.
Now is the time to order. I got mine in two weeks just a couple of weeks ago.
Love the gun, Just waiting to get one.
I plan on picking one of these up ASAP, and one of the KSGs when the price goes down in a few years.
It's pretty normal. I'm trading mine in. It's fun for sure, I don't have any jams, but not accurate
I'm thinking about buying this as a first time gun. It looks like the perfect pistol for lots of practice at an affordable price.
@Belushi32 Are the rear sights windage adjustable ?
I NEED this pistol!
Mine just came in last week after being on order for 1 year.
quick question and i know its a dumb one but i gotta ask, can i shoot a regular .22lr out of my .22 magnum?
can you tell me if they actualy have an airsoft version of this ?
Hey, KT, where is my 20-rd semi- pistol in 7.62x25?
@IPFR33LY59 True, the differnces are slight, but important
.22LR vs .22WMR
.223 bullet dia .224
.225 neck dia .240
.225 base dia .241
.275 rim dia .291
.040 rim thick .046
.590 case length 1.052
.985 total length 1.350
The bullet is made different also. .22lr is heeled so that when placed in the case it is the same diameter as the case. .22wmr entire bullet is placed inside the case. .22lr fired in a .22wmr chamber will result in a case split because there is too much room in the chamber.
i need help been lookin for one in Arizona but i cant find it anywhere
This is very encouraging ---- since 90% of your poi are a bit low & right ----- are you pulling the trigger right or are the sights slightly off? I LOVE MINE HAS RAN PERFECT AND SO MUCH FUN TO SHOOT, THANKS

@keltecweapons This is a little off topic for this video, but is there any hoe of a .45 ACP sub 2000?
is that thing part magnum? iv seen that circular blast com from 50 desert eagles.
:O
wish you guys could pump these things out faster. My friend has one paid in full who knows when he will get it though. I love the flash those 22 mags give off.
Yo..FL's Hanging Chad.... LOL Any plans for making an adj. rear site for the PMR30? Would be nice to tweak it exactly to the bull's eye.
That's great. Thanks for showing us a firearm that' we'll never own, because it's impossible to find one for sale.
pretty hard to find one in the shops because they don't want to buy the ones that are for sale from gunbroker. Retail value is around $400 in that area the only ones we can find are around $600-$700. Not really good for resale, but they are out there.
Can you find one for the $415 MSRP they list it at? Cheapest I found on gunbroker was around $500 on a bid and about 600 for a Buy It Now price.
how much for a box of the recommended load?
That lower rail would surely be handy for attaching a pistol scope/red dot. What about a 25 feet, benchrested test?
I've looked everywhere online for a year, nobody has them in stock. Where did you see 2 for sale and are they being sold higher than msrp? I'm sure they've got some rediculous unrealistic price.
Nice job Chad! Congratulations, Since TNP your an internet celebrity.
JUST GOT MINES ALL THAT & SOME!! IT WILL JOIN MY KSG ON RANGE TRIPS AS WELL AS THE FAVORITE SIDE OF THE GUN SAFE!
Nice video ! I am on line waiting ... Have you guy thought on PMR sub compact !!! HUM ? My Idea ! Do I get one ?

Um where?

I constantly get ftfs, even with 40 grain ammo and tapped mags. Other people have complained about this as well. Is this something we have to live with or does KelTec have a solution?
That's because you either don't know how to load the mags without causing rim lock, or your lack of proper grip. These guns run 100%
Vapor guns! Kel-tec is the WORLD'S LEADER in vapor gun production!
Got mine for $500 this week. So hopefully supplies are become available for the masses.
Do yall think yalls new shotgun will be on the chopping block by the ATF? Since they will be banning the Saiga12.
@zooksv1k You should look around a little more. I know of 2 that are for sale locally..
Ive had mine since last spring, without fluted barrel and twist ratio fixed. It is accurate I can put same group at 15yards.
I was wondering what the Trigger is like? And how much pull before the Sear breaks? I really want one of these bad boys. I'm seeing prices as low as $299.00 with shipping? Can't beat that meat!
Best job ever.
would you dual wield
@IPFR33LY59 Yes. Even though a .22lr is .223 bore, it works fine. Many people have re-chambered old sharps rifles or that were .22lr. Finally a video on youtube that actually shows how frickin' loud even the smallest caliber bullet can be, especially in a confined indoor space.
Hickock45 seems to pull off amazing shots with it. My own specimen is sloppy and keyholes the no longer recommended ammo in this video, even with the new barrel. Of course, you have plenty of follow-up shots you can make. Try the CCI 30 gr ammo, ibstead.
@IPFR33LY59 No. The case diameter is actually a bit different.
@chadderick71 shipped where.. to gun brokers to sell for 600$ + each?.. thats the only place that has them for sale most of the time
@zooksv1k been looking for just over a year.. never found one around detroit.. at any of the gun shop's
Not to be a dead horse,but-12,000 units a year is only 233 pistols a week for a market of 3.5 million shooting entusiasts. @weiss27md
From what i heard they arnt banning the S12 its just a rumor that has got tons of people panic buying at extreme prices.
at 2:53, it sounds like you just dry fired the gun. isnt that bad for a 22?
Great video! kel tec rules, too bad we cant all be a huge supplier that can keep up with the worlds demand..im still glad they exist though, really innovative products! :)
I generally don't trust a 3 shot group, but who shoots 30 shot groups? :-)

Ask Nutnfancy to shoot PMR-30 it's a cool and fun gun to shoot. Keep up the work kel tec
also, adjustable sights is a must... please please please kel tec hear me!!!!
Cool! I want one.

im not sure the wait on this one but i know the kel tec ksg was more than a year
I sure would like to buy one but all the dealers say you guys are always out.
I WANT ONE OF THOSE SO BAD!! >.
I REALLY wish Kel Tec would make this gun in the .17HMR caliber!
@papashake not 21 yards
I saw this pistol on the sledgehammer with Nutnfancy and was not impressed. How do ya'll explain it's poor performance?
This is my handgun of choice
Man, it takes a long time to empty that magazine! Cool gun but I've never seen one at any of the stores in my area.
My new one doesn't. Got a Ruger 22/45 with threaded barrel for that.
@shootcentermass HK sued the manufacturers of GSG, NOT Keltec.
Where can i get my pmr30
HSN
The home shopping channel.
😂
The robber would survive all thirty tickets if you were shootin at him.
Most of them on armslist or gunbroker are 1k plus at the moment... I pick mine up next week! Was on a 1 year waiting list and not getting dicked to bad by my guys. $500 ;-) I'll happily pay it
Like many other commenters, I just wish I could find one in stock somewhere!

you work for keltec so i bet this gun want fail.. but there are problems with it ... dont you agree i like it but want a good one you thoughts

How about a lower capacity say 20 so you could make it a little smaller for Carry .🤔
Thanks for the demo but please use a target with bird splatter next time.
Kel Tec, I love your guns but why is it so damn hard to find em???? When I asked for this and the KSG Bull Pup my dealer literally laughed at me and I don't like to buy auction or internet guns. Cmr-30
