- There have been over 300 no-hitters throughout MLB history, and perhaps the most unexpected one came in August 1991, where a 21 year old rookie achieved one of baseball's finest accomplishments.
*While technically not his big league debut, it was his team debut for the White Sox, and it was the first time he ever recorded an out at the Major League level.

Have a video suggestion? Comment it below and I may make a video about it!
WalkoffStudios is a RUclips channel dedicated to creating original Major League Baseball content. All videos are written, edited, and produced by myself. This channel is sprouted from my love of the game. I want to educate and entertain as many people as I can on different events, stories, history, and tidbits relating to Major League Baseball.
Another great video! Thanks 🙏
Good video! Are there any nhl channels like yours and Jg9's? Would really like to know! Keep on doing good man and have a great day!

Meanwhile, other early-career No-Hitters include Bumpus Jones, in his first career appearance in 1892, allowing a run but winning 7-1 in one of just 2 career wins. Another 1890s pitcher, Ted Breitenstein, pitched a no-hitter in his first career start. Clay Bucholtz pitched a no-no in his second career game. And who could forget the immortal Bobo Holloman, who in his first career start (5th career game) pitched a game where everything was seemingly hit hard-that is, hit hard right at someone. Finished off the no-no despite only getting 3 strikeouts. He even had 2 hits at the plate himself.
I thought I knew baseball, you know baseball.
@@Tom-y1j the best part about Holloman's no-no was, it was for the objective worst franchise in baseball history, the St Louis Browns. It was 1953, the year before they would move to Baltimore and become the Orioles.
Are you a believer that the Orioles became the Highlanders/Yankees?
@@Tom-y1j the franchise was transferred to NY yes, even if a lot of the players were traded in that fiasco. Really wish I could see the timeline where McGraw and Ban Johnson don't beef and the Orioles stay in Baltimore, it would fascinating to see the ramifications.
"eh-pih-teh/oh-mee" not "eh-pih-tome"
👏 🤓
Even though it was a "nibbler"... and he deserves an out for that... There is NO WAY that is an error if he isn't going for a no-hitter... That DEFINITELY should have been scored a hit... But, I'm sure whoever (probably the catcher) was charged with the error, was very glad to be charged with that error...
18 years later another White Sox no hitter and perfect gsme would be saved by a spectacular catch
Orgullo de todos los zulianos!!!
How is a pitcher "raking" in the minor leagues?
Infield?

Did Clay Bucholtz do the same? No-No in his second start
Yes, Buchholz tied Alvarez's record for fastest time to throw a no hitter
But Buchholz actually retired a batter in his first game XD
