@@Kayshots the flight time isn't that bad. The mavic mini 2 is supposed to have 31 minutes of flight time, but I have seen videos of people who have takes the mini 2 five kilometers and only landed at 3% battery which the mavic air can also do. If u want more flight time, buy more batteries.

Totally agree! I was thinking of upgrading to the air 2, but decided to wait for the air 3. If I was having all the signal problems that people have with the air 1 then I would upgrade, but I have never had problems with the signal, and have seen people get over 5km with the air 1

It's 2022, I got this drone when it was first put on the market and its still running strong. One of the best adds to my gear ever.

@@cebuvideoman3429 My drone fell from 10 meters, hit the wall at 50 km/h, hit a tree, was exposed to the rain, but my Mavic Air is as solid as the first day. DJI's best quality drone, the only problem I have is the battery is swollen

I bought a Mavic Air this past summer. I use it recreationally and commercially for my home inspection business for roof inspections. I also obtained my FAA license. I love this device. Highly recommend!

My favourite is the Mavic Air series. From Dji Mavic Air, Dji Mavic Air 2 and Air 2S all are incredible.
Just bought mine on tuesday (still in the box). Going through the manuals and videos. Can't wait to have it flying!

How do you know that?? When I bought the Spark Flymore Combo for USD 700 I took into consideration its portability and that I didn't want to pay the price tag of the Mavic (USD 1400 at that time. The Mavic Air at USD 799 will definitely cannibalize the Spark.
Yes, I did and I also bought the Spark because I liked its features and I'm happy with it. The only thing that I'm saying is that with a few more bucks today I could get drone with a similar size , 4K camera and more battery time among other things.

This drone is so well thought out and is so intelligent. This would make my life complete.
I like the Mavic Air and its new features such as slow motion and advanced obstacle avoidance, but I wish DJI would've released a drone that was similiar in size to the Mavic Pro. I'm concerned about the Mavic Air's flight time and I'm not sure how it would hold up in windy situations compared to the Mavic Pro.
It's said to be good up to 22mph winds. Also, they have a new sports mode (42.5 mph) which is a little faster than the mavic & is said to be very high wind resistant.
Seeing how the dji spark is good in high winds I’m sure this could handle it just as well as the mavic pro

SkyS1gn what would you do? i have the mavic pro but i'm considering to sell it because drones under 500grams (like the mavic air) do not have any flight restrictions in switzerland (which are pretty hard). it's perfectly clear that i wouldn't fly next to an airport, but in switzerland the no-fly zones are in a 10km radius around airports which leave out almost no space to fly

Great drone, for fun, adventures, travels, etc.
Now that the Mavic Air has thrown serious shade on the Mavic Pro will DJI afford Pro owners an upgrade path for their cameras? So far as I know, the camera in the Mavic Air is effectively identical to that in the mavic Pro yet offers a substantially higher bitrate and therefore superior video recording quality.
That said, I'd like to know if DJI will eventually provide Pro owners with either a firmware patch to increase our video recording bitrates to match the Air, or at the very least give us the means to replace the Pro camera with the the one found in the Air
