The DJI Mavic Air is the perfect balance of size, performance and price. It has a 4K camera, 3 axis gimbal and is amazingly small for a drone with this many features. In many ways, it takes the best parts of the DJI Mavic Pro and the DJI Spark and combines them into a very portable package. If you are wondering if the Mavic Air can live up to the hype, you should watch this video!

I’ve decided on getting the Mavic Air after watching this review! Thanks for sharing 👍😃
I have always wanted a quadcopter that was small enough to toss into my backpack which I could carry around with me, yet not notice I had it. But it also had to be able to capture stable quality video.
So when the Mavic Air came out, it was exactly what I was looking for.
This is the drone that caters to my specific uses.
On the negative side, everyone says it is very loud, like a swarm of buzzing bees.
Hopefully future versions are quieter, cause you don't want people to notice you're flying it, and then complain.
Hopefully one day I'll be able to afford one, cause it is the quadcopter I've always wanted.

I look at it as more of a spark than a Mavic and I’m sure they could have easily marketed it as a new spark but I sure do love it

Thumbs up I like the video I love the quad I bought one flame red also the only thing I think you could have pointed out that you didn't is that the front legs aren't just landing gear the are receiving antennas and it's very important to have them extended at all times during flight keep up the good work

According to the rumor, Mavic 2 is a litter bigger than Mavic 1 and will have 1'' sensor. Obviously, it is designed for different market segmentation compared with Mavic Air. Think about the difference between Macbook Pro and Macbook Air. Just the same arrangement like Mavic Pro (2) and Mavic Air.
For someone who has been on the fence since the Phantom 1, this year I may actually get a Mavic Air, thanks to your review.

Nice review. Its impressive something so small has a 4K ability. I might have to pick one of these up in the future. Something you put in the car with you because you never know what you might run into. I cant really do that with my other drones. Its sorta like leaving the house with your cell phone. Thanks Kelly. Great review! Footage looks crisp and easily on par with what I get out of the Mavic Pro. While everyone would of course love to have a 1" sensor and more camera improvements, I'm still completely sold on the Mavic Air. As a travel drone it really can't be beat for size/performance. Looking forward to my order's arrival next week.

like the drone but I believe what you said, all the new features are the standard
of the future! Which means it is very likely they will release a Mavic Pro II
with all these features and more, like 360-degree collision avoidance, more advanced
/ powerful motors, 1” Camera sensor, 4K at 60fps with 100 Mbps processing and
longer flight time. I think DJI spoiled us with the Phantom 4 Pro and at the
same time revealed the future of possibility.
Still undecided on this one, I have the Mavic Pro, so I think I'll wait until it's been on sale for a month or so and check out the reviews, must admit though it looks like a must have,,great review, but then your reviews always are, you're the one that got me to buy the Mavic Pro ;-)
Happy to stumbled upon your channel! Austin! Funny to see Canyon Vista, the middle school I went to in the 90s. I plan to purchase this drone as I'm new to them feel like it's a really great entry point that I can travel easily with!

Sounds fantastic. The only thing that concerns me as I am shopping for one for my work. I'll be taking a lot of roof photos. Shingle roofs reflect very brightly in the sun and I am wanting more info about the dampening of the light in the app. I hope to do it on the fly pun intended. Als, can you scale back your pixel range? Thanks in advance.
Well done first look by a mature enthusiast, no theatrics. I was leaning heavily towards the Autel Robotics EVO but at almost half the price point, the Mavic Air is really making sense!

What I wonder about is why these quads don’t improve on higher speed, longer battery life, increased and improved control distance to about 5 or 10 kms to begin with same as saying its ability to be controlled to send and receive signals at farther distance... please check these capabilities when you can? I’m having difficulty to decide which one to get, the 2 pro, phantom or this air? Please help me decide! Thanks again!

Great demo sir, I would love to see and hear more about your tests. I personally am still on the fence between this and a Mavic Pro..........todays reveal made that decision even harder :) Knowing you had this for a while I need to ask......how hard was it to have it and know about it in advance. That has to be hard when you have something this impressive :)

I just ordered mine and really need to understand how track myself on a mountain bike ect.
How do you do that?
Do you have to hold the controller while tracking?
Can you track yourself from the hand gestures mode?
How far can you go? etc.
