I bought a DJI Mavic Pro Platinum (£1200 around $1500) last year as a treat for some friends in Cyprus and 6 weeks after Waiting for it to be delivered all the hassle of getting it through customs after sending it to North Cyprus (who take longer to deal with things) etc etc. So the guys waited weeks nearly 2 months for their drone. The day it arrived l was here in Cyprus. We all went to the beach and we were all very excited filming with it. We were on the deck sunbathing. When the drone returned to us it just flipped and landed in the sea for no apparent reason! We got it out after about 2 seconds, dried it in rice, but it didn't work! When I phoned DJI long distance, they said they would repair it free for us so I was relieved. I spent more money about €50, sending it back (which meant travelling through the border, again thru customs, to the South of the Island, I don't drive so taxi costs. Thus was to use a Post Office with tracking so l coukd track the Mavic Pro.) Then strangely DJI wouldn't confirm that they received it 4 weeks later (even though tracking showed it arrived) until I could find all my receipts and evidence my end which I had temporarily lost. This took another week and a half, with more long distance phone calls, to different people in their office as no record was kept of my long distance phone calls. I've lost count of the many calls l made. It was a total nightmare. Finally, they decided they were not going to fix it free after all and gave no real reason for this change of heart. They then quoted €890 to repair it which seems steep when you consider they replace a chip or something minor - l could probably do it myself if you could buy electronics gear here (North Cyprus) which you cannot! I just asked them to return it. I cannot explain why they didn't wish to help - I wasn't angry with them on the phone I was polite all the way - so I am at a loss about this. In commercials and RUclips you see the machine flying over water there is no warning that it is NOT even semi-waterproof or splashproof. I explained to Amazon where I bought it who decided they would sort it for me saying if they couldn't get redress from DJI they would pay me. I said l was happy to have half the costs and expenses. I waited and waited for my refund to no avail. Out of the blue, Amazon too decided they weren't going to pay me anything not even a postage stamp! So I am £1500 plus down and all my time and effort (and expenses) and nothing to show for it. Not to mention all the time and trouble travelling to South Cyprus to send it back via tracked mail long distance phone calls etc etc. The worst was watching my two young friends ' unhappy faces. The real reason for this plea is I wanted to asked anyone PLEASE - what do I do with all the batteries and stuff? Can I use them on a different drone (not DJI as I am still sore!) There has to be a clone out there where I can use the batteries, surely China has copied it (improved it!) it just seems so much waste. I thought the 21st C was a sustainable one, it seems not as far as DJI are concerned!!!
I have an air and absolutely love it, covers every aspect I am looking for and the best featured from all similar multirotors. It's a dark horse that many people overlook, I personally knew very little about it as I presumed the mavic 'pro' was the best. However a tiny package, incredibly build quality yet fully featured - it is fantastic.
@@MiklosRabi I would have thought that too, however the range is phenomenal on my mavic air. I have had absolutely no breakup after far distances with mine and far worse from my phantom 3 advanced using lightbridge (yes I know it is different)
Love my Air. I haven't touched my Phantom Pro 3 since I bought the Air. As for the Mavic, I like that you can focus it. The rest of the perks, I can live without.
Nice job on the review between the two DJI products. I'll be sticking with my Mavic Air (at least for now). Let's see what this new DJI 'Mavic 2' looks like when they make their announcement on 8-23-18. Most important thing to me is image quality..again, nicely done!
I have the Mavic Pro and just got back from a trip in Asia. I never had issues with it in US but over there got a bunch of errors and issues. Things that I like about the Pro: (1) The long battery life gave me the extra time when the drone was either not responsive or slow to respond due to high winds and/or radio tower interference; (2) The Occusync might have save the drone from the radio tower interference; and (3) The controller throw an error twice and the phone screen was not showing live feed but with the screen on the controller, I was able to bring it back. These features are lacking in the Mavic Air and I find these feature very useful when issues arise.
First drone, so I've decided on the Air due to the similar image quality, better price, obstacle avoidance features, and the quick shot modes. Can't wait to try circle and helix out mountain biking!
Hello, I have a general question (Having the mavic air), what write speed is sufficient for 4k 30fps recording? A lot of people complain about stuttering footage, but that could also be a shutter issue. Dji speaks of 100MB/s but how often is that reached?
Any problem with the connection in the M Air? I always get disconnected in my controller. Sometimes the feed goes black and white then it lags and stutters in its live feed. Is it with its limited range? Thanks
Hi there, Thank you for the great content you put out for us. I have a problem with my Mavic Air, i use it for photography mainly, amd the pictures are blurry and they lack of sharpness, pretty much terrible. I know i have to edit them, i shoot RAW also, but something is wrong with it. I was considering to sell it and buy the Mavic Pro, but as i understand from your video, image quality wise they are not far apart. What should i do ? Thank you
I just purchased the Mavic Pro Platinum. I would have targeted the Mavic 2 Pro, but my budget was tapped at the one I got with the fly now bundle. I wanted versatility so that it would be the only drone I would want for a while. The Platinum is quieter, longer fly time, great camera, and is an easy transition to the drones my company flies.
Love them both for all their versatility and stability for great video shooting. However, you spot on when you compare them and overall that the Mavic Pro is quieter and has a longer flight time while handling wind better. Ocusync proves to exceed normal control connections with the aircraft in all conditions. The Air is a Great Little unit. The Mavic Pro is a Great all around platform that exceeds expectations for a compact folding camera drone.
So I never owned a drone before and am currently in between the mavic air and pro. Based on all these videos and research I decided on the air but reading everyones comments i'm indecisive again... I'm a filmmaker looking to buy one for while i'm traveling to a few different countries and will be out shooting mostly nature and landscapes. The only personal downside for the air is that I can see the low battery time an issue. And I don't imagine i'll have wifi half the time I planned on using it. Any advice?
Same problem as you, unsure based on budget and what is "really" needed. Its like any toy unless its for work, that you get over the excitement after a few days or weeks of play. Maybe its just amazing to get the Pro 1 or 2 and get it over with, not sure. The Air is just so much more affordable and even when u get they flymore time combo. Im still doing my video watching but have not decided as yet. Not sure what you mean by you will not have WiFi "And I don't imagine i'll have wifi half the time I planned on using it. Any advice?" Its just between your phone and the drone i thought , you dont need any cell phone data or whatever, is this what you mean?
Thecrazy > My suggestion, dont buy the AIR. Read my posts above to know what you might experience. In fact i wouldn't even buy anything from this Chinese company due to their unethical customer service where they just ignore you after screwing up from their end. But if you absolutely must, then buy a mavic pro. Battery time promised on the AIR is 21 minutes. In real life i hardly get 12-13 minutes by the time you wait for GPS lock and check safety settings and go fly that's all you'd get.
@@mgr5550 If we dont buy from DJI then who from? I have only just recently learnt and seen videos on DJI. I am worried about support yes. Some videos the guys get full replacement if theirs gets broken but they of course paid for that option.
@@CollosalTrollge I got the Pro. I'm using it for work, but even if you only want to use it for play, it's still a better choice, simply because of the Occusync over Wifi. Range is very important, 100Mbps vs 60Mbps 4K video wasn't that important for me, mostly using it for aerial photography. You'll want reliable connection even in a open plains, and even more when you fly in crowded area like a neighborhood, because Wi-Fi interference is a very important issue. Should you wish to do more, and if you've managed to get a hang of flying it, then sell your Pro and get a Mavic 2, there is everything good from both the Air and Pro in one package, but the price is too much for first time owner
@@JazzEdan I hear you JazzEdan, i am just like, why do i need the Pro, absolutely you are right i was concerned about the WiFi connection, but apparently in the other video i watched the one guy mentioned this and he said its an advanced WiFi. I would primarily be using this in less of a city and i really dont see myself going more than 500 meters, seriously. I would be very afraid. Does this maybe change what you have rather suggested or advised for me ? I was just considering the Air because of the 2 rear sensors and its size and the price and especially if i buy the fly more combo Let me know...
Love them both. I have the platinum for work and the air for personal. You hit all the points why I bought the air and I still agree with the purchase when it comes to travel and throwing it in the pack. So portable and with the fly more bag I have everything organized.
I read on some forums there was issues with the Mavic Pro's gimbel. So i went with Mavic Air and i have been very pleased with my purchase. The Air fits nicely into my backpack and does what i want it to.
I think I'd pay the extra for the Pro. It's a little larger, but still very portable. The controller is much better and I really feel safer with the more robust connection (vs Wifi). The fact that it's quieter is a bonus. That said, I don't have either right now. The fact that they're banned in so many beautiful places (at least around me) makes it Inhibitive to use.
@@TheKAPAOPANGO They did tests and both the pro and air, both are right around 100db... the air's higher pitch just sounds louder and is much more noticeable in the air, attracting attention etc
Which one is tough. I have them both. APAS, size, distance, compatibility with the goggles. It never fails when I find a location, it screams for one or the other. They are the perfect pair!
I love my MA! I use it more now than my MP. I also never had an issue with the connection as some had mentioned and I mean I flew this baby pretty damn far, so much that I wasn’t able to see the MA no more...got so scared that I had to push the home button to bring it back. I still love my MP, but I am definitely loving the MA! Great review!
Great Help. .... I decided for the Mavic Pro. The reason is longer air-time and better controller. The "Air" has some cool features and is much more compact, but I thing the "Pro" is more stable in breezy conditions.
i hear that it has many issues though. It always needs recalibration and when the wind is kind of strong it wont come straight down (it comes down at a speed of 0.1 m/h) to avoid crushing i guess.. Did you notice those kinds of problems?
I got the mavic air for Christmas and I love it. It does the job of video and what I want it to do and if my little brothers and sister want to have a go they can because they got Senses so that don’t crash into anything. And it pales away better and yer loving it and will keep using it love it
I want to use the Mavic Air to act as a chase plane to video my R/C aircraft in flight. Is this capable of doing this? If so, how does that work? I'm totally ignorant to Drones so please forgive my ignorance...
True Drone Reviews I had the pro, tried to track someone, had obstacle avoidance on, and it crashed into a wall. Then I sold the piece of shit and bought the Mavic Air in hopes the obstacle avoidance would be better and it was.
Currently in UK I could get either Air or Pro Platinum for £799 both with fly more but really cannot decide which one I like the higher bitrate and some of features with air
My Pro went back for repair under warranty. I must say DJI service is spot on, they arranged pick up, postage, repair and return, all in 1 week. Anyway, being a flyer who can't be without a bird, I went and bought the Air to keep me going and I must say the Air is better for me as it isn't so complicated to programme, picture quality is the same as the Pro and it's one hell of a lot more portable. I like the rear sensors but I don't like the noise! Go for the Air if you're in the market.
I bought the Air 3 weeks ago and absolutely love it. I haven't had any problems with wi-fi or the range, but then again I do live in Florida which is very flat. I'd choose it again in a heart beat.
Yea, I started off in this game with the mavic mini, I got me a tello, (w/controller and 3 batteries) so I could learn, crash, do all the bad things that can happen with a drone and well, learn from it. I just replaced my first motor after getting the drone hung up in a tree the other day. Finally, I've moved to the "Mavic Air" after looking closely and evaluating all of the performance features in comparison to the Mavic pro. I've got some land out in the mountains here around Seattle, Washington, with lot's of tall 60 meter pacific red cedars, an alpine lake at the top, and a waterfall on the river below me. I think the front and back "object avoidance" features far outweigh any added flight time. Also, the smaller package is a "plus". Tello for fun, Mavic air for serious video capture, and the Mavic mini? I haven't decided that one yet, if I keep it, with it's 30 min and tiny size, or do I already have what I need in the Mavic Air. Just my thoughts on this subject.
I wonder if DJi would sell the MavicPro Remote separately which you could then use with the MavicAir? I assume the functions are more or less, similar and the remotes are compatible ?
I'm looking into getting a Mavic drone I'm still trying to decide with the Air or Pro after seeing this video Im almost leaning towards the Pro due to the fact like u said the camera can tilt a little bit more compared to the Air having to go backwards. What i like about the Air is that its capability to control it with hand gestures unless the Pro does that as well? i do like the compactness of the Air but also the noise level is from what i heard a tad bit louder then the Pro honestly I'm torn between the two hows the battery life on both? how would u rate Air to Pro?
I have a Spark, and am looking to upgrade. I was going to get the Mavic Air, but thinking I like the controller for the Pro better, and also the longer flight time
Great review ! I'm pretty much sold on the Mavic Air. Realizing this is an old review- do you have any leads on where to get one for $400 and under. I would like to have 2 batterys for it. I've been goin crazy tryin to win a bid on Ebay, but so far no luck. Anyway, thanks for the comparrison vid on these ! Wulfy
Great quick review. I am trying to decide which one to get myself. The concerns over the wifi connection on the air vs occusync has me leaning towards the pro.
I do love the very clean feed I get from the Pro anywhere I fly. And the Pro price has dropped a bit too. We might see some great deals right after the 1st!
@@photorectoby A clean feed is critical for sure. I've decided to go with the Pro Platinum. The only thing I can see as a negative for the Pro at this point is not having rear sensors. I do not care about the Air being a little bit faster. Thanks again for the great advice and awesome RUclips channel. Keep up the great work!
Nice job. Very helpful. I think battery life is trivialized in nearly every review, including yours. If I bring three batteries out, that 18 additional minutes with the Pro is not insignificant. I tend to use every minute with my current Phantom, and it's completely the limiting factor on how long I can be out there flying.
At first the lack of distance seemed like a problem but with the FAA rules, I don't think you can use all the distance on the Pro anyway. More important to me was the rear sensors.
Ive had the Spark for almost a year now. Though I only had one nerve wracking disconnection and it auto returned luckily, I told myself I will never get another DJI drone without the Ocusync. So I wasn't excited when the Air went out. Just told myself, I will wait for Ocusync to show up in a future Mavic Air version. While the mavic Pro is sturdy, I still consider it big for travel. Mavic Air + Ocusync = Buy.
There is an 8th reason to go with the mavic air. You forgot about the ("APAS" Advanced Pilot Assistance System) With the obstacle avoidance when coming up on an obstacle the Mavic Air maneuver around it automatically...
Flight time is the reason i will go for the Mavic Pro, I have a Phantom 3 adv but now looking to update and find a more convenient drone for travelling.. thanks for the informative video
Thanks for great video. I pick Mavic Pro 7 months ago and I would still choose the pro. The reason is longer flights and battery time but also pro is extremely fast on Sports mode
Just bought my pro last week. Already smashed it into a brick wall at the speed, that did make me hold my head for a moment. Couple scratches and that thing fly like nothing happened! Not sure if durability might be a relevant factor between these two as well, what do you think Toby?
PhotoRec TV it was a combination of innapriopriate speed and a dog trying to lick my ear to be precise. Basically I wanted to turn in front of the wall and head back but mavic couldn't stop as fast as I was assuming it would...also that dog... unfortunate.
As with anything tech, newer is often better and cheaper... DJI does have to keep you hooked though and not give away the farm. I suspect the Pro II will come out with all the good bells and whistles that combine the two. Great comparison video Toby. I'd love to get one at some point.
I got the Mavic Air over the Spark for its ability to fold down the propeller struts therefore the portability feature won it for me. Ideal to take out with me on a cycle ride too.
Go day. I do lots of offroading in the Bush and am looking to add some footage to my RUclips page. Which drone would work best for me? Is the spark a option? I need something that will follow me and not stop. Lol Thank you
I appreciate your work. I have the Phantom 2 which did two fly-aways before I shelved it. I bought the Air when it first came out, but have not even charged it up as yet. Maybe today! I don't do much--of anything--and am hoping for some motivation. I also backed the L-16 on Kickstarter and have it in hand but have not taken more than fifty or more images with it. I need to get moving!
I flown the Mavic Air, Mavic Pro and Phantom 4 Pro. All have their pro and con but i love them all. Though i sold my p4p , i love my mavic portability . Video wise? Phantom 4 pro all day
Honestly, if you love the size of the air so much, consider the Mavic mini, with longer flight time, smaller size, a really good camera, and very lightweight this could be the one for you, though it has only bottom sensors, and its weight can be a problem in the wind.
First time seeing you and your vids and I liked it, I'm currently looking at getting a drone I'm unsure at this stage if I want the air or the pro as I like them both but your last 4 points a bout the pro may just be the deciding factor for me
For anyone who still hasn’t gotten the memo, change the mavic air’s wifi signal channel from auto to manual and select the channel with the least interference and the disconnection issues should go away. I did this and almost never change the channel but will if I travel and see the need. It also doesn’t hurt to turn off your phone’s Bluetooth connection to release bandwidth. I get about 2000+ feet of solid range consistently since making the change. Cheers 🍻
Sold the mavic and bought the air. Took the air to italy last month and boy do I regret it. Great footage but the wifi connection was horrific...complete deal breaker. This was in the countryside so very little wifi interference.
anyone thinking that the air is better than the Pro? Take this man's advice. Blake is spot on here. I have both quads, and the pro is the Pro. occusync is the reason the Pro is better. Air is,,,,,, well full of hot air:) it is ok but will never be as good as the Pro.
Blake Bowden i did the opposite. My first drone was the air when it came out. It was definitely glitchy. I had buyers remorse and kept watching mavic pro videos. Finally, I sold the air and got the pro. The pro is outstanding.
I'm really racking my brains trying to figure out which one to get... but the wifi connection on the air might just be a dealbreaker for me. Less range, flight time, more noise, and now wifi signal problems are big issues to me with the air.
Number one reason Pro is better than Air? Connection is much better. Every time I take out the Air I am frustrated by the connection. Just today while flying in Germany I had clear line of sight, clear conditions and the Air only 700 feet from me and I was consistently getting lag and warnings of poor connection. Later in the evening I tried again and same thing only it flat out disconnected a couple times. Similar has happened EVERY time I've taken it out. Also, every time I take it out I also get a compass error. Never had a problem like this with the Pro so it again will be my main drone
I tried for the last time today, same ol' same ol'. I see that there some upgrades you can buy to boost the signal for around $200, but I'd rather just use my Pro or put that money to the inevitable Mavic Pro 2. The Air is a bust in my opinion.
great !thxI may buy the mavic air since I understand that for a beginner like me it will be more safe and give me as a photographer (hobby) all I need .
That gimbal can really make the difference in some shots. A work around is to fly backwards with the Air and then reverse the clip in post but that doesn't always work- e.g. people in the shot? they will be walking backwards.
thanks for the great review! maybe u know- if i use "track" mode and put the RC in a bag in a "HOME" point. to which distance does the track will go for the subject? does the air craft have to be in eye connection with the RC? THANKS!!!!

Same.
@@MiklosRabi I would have thought that too, however the range is phenomenal on my mavic air. I have had absolutely no breakup after far distances with mine and far worse from my phantom 3 advanced using lightbridge (yes I know it is different)
It is now!!!
A flat earthen would never buy the MA because of astroid mode HAHAHA
lol!
Lmao good one,😂😂😂😂
Lol🤣🤣🤣
Top comment :)
thanks a lot for the compare. I picked pro just for the occusync and the range.
Love my Air. I haven't touched my Phantom Pro 3 since I bought the Air. As for the Mavic, I like that you can focus it. The rest of the perks, I can live without.
ya same
You want to sell your phantom pro 3?
hello, i have a tello right now and i wanna upgrade it to air, is it a good choice?
After all my research I went with Pro. DJI may have sacrificed Ocusync for size but no Ocusync killed the Air for me.
ya same
I fly it kms away from me never had issues hey.
Probably should have recalibrated the compass other sensor after travelling half way around the world.
When showing video comparisons, you should have the same scenes compared side by side. Makes for much better/fair comparisons!
Any problem with the connection in the M Air? I always get disconnected in my controller. Sometimes the feed goes black and white then it lags and stutters in its live feed. Is it with its limited range? Thanks
Hi there,
Thank you for the great content you put out for us.
Thank you
I had both Mavics and liked them a lot, but I just placed an order for the Air. Compatibility is awesome on the Air.
I have owned my Mavic Air for almost 1 year and other than the battery life I love it.
Good Summary!
I was just considering the Air because of the 2 rear sensors and its size and the price and especially if i buy the fly more combo
Let me know...
I bought a Mavic Air and it’s truly great, the range is really good, the camera is amazing and it fights the wind really well! I have no regrets! 😀
Same here buddy, it flies in really harsh and windy conditions!!
Thx for the nice vid ! You say in some country's the range is very limited. How limited please ? I ask this because I just bought the DJI Mavic Air.
+ better/longer range
+ longer battery life
It's not quieter, just lower in pitch because of the bigger rotor blades.
James Dobbs everyone knows it’s quieter what you on about ??
@@TheKAPAOPANGO They did tests and both the pro and air, both are right around 100db... the air's higher pitch just sounds louder and is much more noticeable in the air, attracting attention etc
I bought the air,I know what you mean with banned in many places,my country is the most ridiculous one
Awesome review...I loved your presentation thanks bro
Just bought Mavic Pro for $849 brand new from Best Buy with Remote and 3 batteries...I win!
BossKing Wow!
@@jimmywinskowski5489 he's lying
It costs 1145 at best buy
I bought it around that time ,same packet and same price

Great Help.
I have the mavic pro since it came out and I really love it! I don’t think that the mavic air would replace it
Otávio Carvalheira People who say the Mavic air is better than the Pro, don’t have the pro.
I agree, See my post above.
True Drone Reviews I had the pro, tried to track someone, had obstacle avoidance on, and it crashed into a wall. Then I sold the piece of shit and bought the Mavic Air in hopes the obstacle avoidance would be better and it was.
It is a much better drone in features. When they work that is. The problem is unreliability.
Or, more properly said, they just don't see the need to spend that much more money for those added features.
Finally! A GOOD review about USE instead of just specs specs specs
THANK YOU!
Stupid question but does the air gimbal look directly down?
Good info and presentation- getting close to decision time.... Any recent updates to this comparison
Which one do I buy?? aghhhh I like them both but range and connection bothers me, but then so does size to a certain point.
Hey sir question, does astroid mode on mavic air allows you to do a 360 photo like in 2:44 ? Or you edited or what exactly you did.
The mavic air does all that on it's own. No editing from me.
I was going to get the Mavic Air, but thinking I like the controller for the Pro better, and also the longer flight time
Very good video.
Go on shooting good videos with good tips.
A big thanks from Brazil.
Is the bell sound a part of the mavic air?, because it has put me off buying one
I'd get the pro for the reasons you explain. Thanks for the side by side!
Pretty contradictory statements
Thanks for this, Toby. I'm planning to buy the Air, mostly because of its more compact size. But I am a bit worried about the inferior signal.
I'm still quite far from using drones anyway, but these reviews are always very nice! Cheers! =)
MA + Occusync + ESCs and low pitch blades. Call it Mavic Air Platinum.
That would be sweet. I think something like that is in the future - just how far off I am not sure.
Nicely explained, well done
At first the lack of distance seemed like a problem but with the FAA rules, I don't think you can use all the distance on the Pro anyway. More important to me was the rear sensors.
What’s your backpack brand?
Ive had the Spark for almost a year now. Though I only had one nerve wracking disconnection and it auto returned luckily, I told myself I will never get another DJI drone without the Ocusync. So I wasn't excited when the Air went out. Just told myself, I will wait for Ocusync to show up in a future Mavic Air version. While the mavic Pro is sturdy, I still consider it big for travel. Mavic Air + Ocusync = Buy.
You do understand that ocusync can and will disconnect as well right? It isn't invulnerable.
Very informative video, thanks
Great closure with the bees remark. Ovesome review. Thanks.
Great video but at the end I went for mavic pro due to its longer fly time.
The air is actually faster in sport mode. Just saying
Not that it matters because few people use it, but the MP was the first drone to introduce gesture control
Thanks for this. I was deciding what to buy w/ these two. Now I can go for the Air. cheers mate!
Had u bought the AIR? How was the experience so far? I am also thinking of buying AIR now but concern about its connection.
Just bought my pro last week. Already smashed it into a brick wall at the speed, that did make me hold my head for a moment. Couple scratches and that thing fly like nothing happened! Not sure if durability might be a relevant factor between these two as well, what do you think Toby?
I am trying to figure out how you smashed it into a brick wall at speed?
PhotoRec TV it was a combination of innapriopriate speed and a dog trying to lick my ear to be precise. Basically I wanted to turn in front of the wall and head back but mavic couldn't stop as fast as I was assuming it would...also that dog... unfortunate.
Not sure which I would pick. I am just looking for a drone
So does the air gimbal swing upward at all?( for medium speed forward film)
Have both, your points are all perfectly valid!
Did u try the Pro 2?
can you charge Mavic pro with a 12V charger?
Go day. I do lots of offroading in the Bush and am looking to add some footage to my RUclips page. Which drone would work best for me? Is the spark a option? I need something that will follow me and not stop. Lol
Thank you
I appreciate your work.
First time seeing you and your vids and I liked it, I'm currently looking at getting a drone I'm unsure at this stage if I want the air or the pro as I like them both but your last 4 points a bout the pro may just be the deciding factor for me
Thank you for this video. Informative.
Awesome review. Thanks. Just bought the mavic air
Cheers 🍻
does the Air have lights on the arms for helping in identifying front from rear at dusk/night ?
I just ordered the Mavic Air because of its size and the forward and backward sensors.
Thanks, was debating to sell pro for air, due to traveling weight/size. Not any more.
I'm really racking my brains trying to figure out which one to get... but the wifi connection on the air might just be a dealbreaker for me. Less range, flight time, more noise, and now wifi signal problems are big issues to me with the air.
Thank you.
Dat Tran this the reason why I sold my air and bought a pro!
Amen brother, couldn't agree more. The air is nice,,,,, but it ain't no PRO! and I own them both and can speak from experience.
I tried for the last time today, same ol' same ol'. I see that there some upgrades you can buy to boost the signal for around $200, but I'd rather just use my Pro or put that money to the inevitable Mavic Pro 2. The Air is a bust in my opinion.
I got out 2.3 miles with no problems. No line of sight either. ruclips.net/video/DVs7KEd4t50/видео.html
You can change your CE mode to FCC and get much better performances
great !thxI may buy the mavic air since I understand that for a beginner like me it will be more safe and give me as a photographer (hobby) all I need .
Great Video! Leaning toward the pro...limited gamble movement got me. Thanks!
That gimbal can really make the difference in some shots. A work around is to fly backwards with the Air and then reverse the clip in post but that doesn't always work- e.g. people in the shot? they will be walking backwards.
size , portability i will choose mavic air
thanks man! i love both
What Camera Bag do you use?
thanks for the great review!
maybe u know- if i use "track" mode and put the RC in a bag in a "HOME" point. to which distance does the track will go for the subject? does the air craft have to be in eye connection with the RC? THANKS!!!!
Thanks
