Unreal to think that in only 117 years we went from the Wright’s first flight at Kitty Hawk, to this massive jet beast, with it’s glittering ‘spaceship-like’ cockpit, and dazzling views! Simply Extraordinary! Even more stunning to think about what will come next!
And only 73 years after Wright Bros (46 years ago), the Concorde was flying people across the Atlantic at more than double this speed! In 1981, the Space Shuttle, an actual spaceship was flying in space at 30x this speed.
Being an enthusiast who wishes I could go back and become a pilot yet I'm always still amazed that a gargantuan vehicle like that can fly through the air like a bird..amazing to think about

@Robert Day - I'm not talking about what people want, nor about those who fly them. I'm talking about what it takes to make them keep flying. It's not a plane that just lands anywhere. Huge changes have to be made to airports to accommodate the beast. That means huge amounts of money for airlines and airports. Have been on this amazing fantastic aircraft three times and it's absolutely massive inside and the very first time I ever went on this huge aircraft with Emirates i stepped through the door at the front of this masterpiece and couldn't believe just how big it was and how something as big as this can possibly fly and get off the ground and said too myself this ain't no plane but is more like a fucking flying ship it's just that big and more space to move than any other aircraft in the world and I will be absolutely heartbroken if they are not going to make them anymore and pull them out of service and really sad to see it go and I used to work on aircraft myself and used to only ever read about the making of this beautiful aircraft in the flight magazine's we used to read having our tea break in the morning and I didn't think it would be possible to build something as big as this but 15 years later this beautiful aircraft has now become reality and really funny when you can here people walking about on the top floor as im on a London bus at 40.000 feet Haha!
Jesus man even being born(in 1985) into a world where Flight has always been possible and even learning how flight is achieved and being a complete aviation nerd for over 30 years now, Flight is still absolutely Magic to me and always will be...i know Pilots of even smaller aircraft like an Embraer E 175 must have moments in the cockpit thinking to themselves "it gets no better than this" and being a Pilot no doubt remains one of the most respected and looked up to occupations so i know and can understand how they were kinda looked at as Gods back in the 40's, 50's and 60's before air travel was omnipresent...if i ever made it to Captain or XO it'd probably change my confidence down to my walk but these guys make it seem like it aint no thang, man that cockpit is beautiful and no bs its alot like how i use to think a time machine would look like and when u hear those Trent's spooling up it sounds like theyre about to hit a time warp...Airbus i think mightve made the side stick a little too sensitive which of course was a much bigger issue on Air France 447, also with that disaster in mind the level of automation is a letdown, it'd have me aching for every takeoff and landing i could get and i wonder how mandatory much of the use of automation is in most airlines these days..their use of English shows just much of an influence and impact the US and UK in particular has had on the world and to think England got off to a very late start of Empire building compared to Spain and Portugal..im trailing off and yapping but back to Aviation which i think is so far at least, humanity's greatest technological breakthrough, at least when it comes to machines and that which we can see... thank u much for the upload, u got my like and sub no doubt

Amazing vídeo. ..fascinating details
Thank you Alvaro!
Amazing technology, outstanding piloting skills!
