You seriously get better tones than 90% of professional studio guys do.
This just came in my feed. Hi Baby Ola 👋
Isn't he cute here? Still in his 20's I recon
@DizzyDez613 He was actually 30 maybe 29 depending on when it was record in relation to his birthday but looks damn good for 30
Its amazing to see how far your videos have come
I'm buying it! Just because 6505 combo is so heavy that the shipping to Colombia is more expensive than the amp itself, and this head is all tube with free shipping on eBay.
@inagerli My vague knowledge in german(3years in school) make me think you say : "great playing as always, but are you wearing makeup?"
And thanks, but I don't wear makeup... I'm already too good looking.... yeah... right
@thesatanicpolkaburn thanks dude but there isn't anything shitty about the sound of this amp. There is just way to many haters out there.
Can you do another video soon. I might pick one up today.
Bugera rules! I've got Bugera Trirec for 3 years and it's perfect, and when i put new EL34 into, then it sounds like a beast!
But i want Bugera 6262 now, cuz i realy like how Peavey 6505 sounds.
@Johndrumful305 The Bugeras sound great, but I think people are referring to is mainly about build quality. I have no experience since I haven't owned one or gigged one. All I know is that at least the one I tried sounded good.
@fearedse this is true. ive owned my bugera 6262 for over a year now and gigged many times with it. no stock tubes, i do have to say im not impressed with their tubes, but with some el34's in there of a quality brand, pre and power section, it's been a fantastic head and never let me down.
AWW THAT VOCAL IS SO RAW! I'm in heaven...
Sounded awesome- I ordered a 6262 last week and I'm expecting it tomorrow. Hoping to really put it through its paces. It probably won't be my primary amp (unless it is better than I expect), but I really love Bugera products
wattdog16 how was it?
this guy makes literaly ANY amp sound fucking amazing.
The Bugera 6262 sounds amazing anyway.. the Bugera Trirec sounds even better
Had a 6262 for about 9 months now, juat had it serviced and 4 of 6 preamp tubes were replaced, and man it screams... Cheapest tube amp ive ever bought, it rocks out pretty fukn hard too🤘
You Still have it?
@@kosmicnkuz yes, I gigged it in the weekend and it kicks butt... My YT channel has the whole set recorded, albeit on a shitty phone but the amp sounds killer... Please feel free to check out my gig with EnforcE Live at Old Habits Bar West Perth 31 08 24.
Rock on friend 🤘
@@jorbv8 what cab you have? Play 6262 with same cab or? Can you gently give me a little of your opinion mate 💪 appreciate
@@kosmicnkuz for practice with the band I use a 120w Bugera 2x12 and for gigs it's either a Marshall slant quad or my oversized Mesa B cab ... The Mesa cab sounds best tbh but I'm using my mates Marshall quad in the gig video from the weekend
I know I may not be the person you want answering you because I'm not Ola BUT as a fellow guitarist looking for good tone and not having to pay thousands.. this is perfect.
Grabbed a 6262 a few days ago together with a Bugera 412. The cab isnt the best of worlds but this setup sounds killers since i am coming from a katana 50w. whole setup costed me 300 euro's. For that price its insane. Amp head only was 250 euros (Netherlands secondhand). I bet the sound will be better with a proper cabinet. Also the amp I use is loaded with the stock Bugera Valves. A valve upgrade can also improve the sound of the head. For a budget conscious mind this setup is really a best bet!. Try to get a Infinium head or one of the later models, since the early models used a plastic item that would burn at heat. Ive read that past 2009+- this lil'something was upgraded and it shouldnt catch any fire.
Ohhh... The tuning is C Standard, I've learned it by ear... Great song! I own a Bugera 6262 combo and sounds killer! I just made a cover for Possessed using it, hope you can check it out! Cheers!
This tone is a combination of the guitar/amp and also the bass tones as well.. So I do hope some people keep that in mind before purchasing this amp expecting the exact same tone you're hearing in this video
@Procyon58 No I wont. reason is that I'm not cut out to make tutorials. They consume huge amounts of my time just to video edit, and I don't feel that's where I want to go with my channel. I rather spend that time writing music.
There are some awesome tutorials out there already. If you need info start off at the andy sneap forum.
I use a Bugera 1990 head, it blew up on me once about 3 months of using it every other weekend at gigs. I got it fixed and it has been amazing ever since. Its been about 3 years since then.
Depends on your guitar rig. If you have solid tube head with solid 4x12, you can go for SD Blackouts or Distortion(i prefer Blackouts because they have massive low end boom, palm mutes sounds really huge), if you have bit low cost rig you can go for SH8, sound really cool on everything. Highest passive output, SH8 Invaders are used in NILE, BRUTUS, DEATH etc. really metal pickup! For me is SH8 more oldschool and bassy "woom" with nice round/war sound. SD AHB are more modern for me.
@FromTheVoidd your decision. i'd take the 333, but it comes down to your likings and style. the 333 is more versatile, that's what you can tell for sure. think of the new trirec too.
@Paulko89 i had once a 6260, andi have to say, its not very easy to handle. you have to find the spot where your eq's start to work, and then it's bedroom volume, just doesn't sound very good. my tip is to put a volume pedal in the fx loop. so you can turn up the master without destroying your house ;D
( btw, my 6260 broke down, it was some early serie)
I like how despite how serious you look when you play, you still give us things like random shots of dogs and cartoon panthers.
Dude your playing is incredible. Great demo.
@DarkZpartan9 if you have this amp then try to get the lead channel knobs to match the knobs in the beginning, or if you're trying to get a similar sound from another unit, then google this Bugera amp so you can see which equalization parameters (mid, low, high, ect...) are which on this amp here in relation to the video intro (of course, pause if you need to) to gain a sense of the eq used as it was here, and of course try and match it to your unit of distortion.
I think the Bugera 6262 and the Peavey 6505 sound pretty similar. What do you think? In my opionion, it sounds it great! Im just assuming that most people talk trash on it because it's not as known as peavey and the fact that the 6505 is used by the majority of metal bands out there.
Hello Kristóf Nagy, I was thinking about sh-8, but Ola has recommended to me sh-6, I have bought it and it is awesome too. Regards!
hey man, i love the fact that your playin all these different amps, but you should post some vids of how the amps sound without all the eq
@punk4life1029 depends on whether you need seperate EQs for your crunch and clean channel (6262) or you have no problem with a shared EQ section for cunch and clean (6260)
@ManofWar55 Yup, if you google them prices will come up, the trirec is around £500, if you live in the UK, but yh, they're both out.
They've actually fixed the reliability issues with these amps. It was only the first 6-7 months that they were produced that had issues. All the "Infinium" amps are fine.
The 6262-212 has the speakers in it. Go for an amp and cab setup, combo amps get tube rattle too easily.
@XFXHITMAN Yeah the very first models had a plastic clip on the end of the transformer plug which would melt and cause it to lose connection to the pcb. My 333xl is over 2 years old and came with the wires soldered directly to the board(the fix). It was the very first ones out of production that were plagued with the issue. It was a simple issue anyways, but the internet likes to blow things out of proportion almost as if the amp would melt it's own guts.
I have one of these. Got it for $100. It sounds fantastic. Build quality is great. I’ve made hundreds of pedals and this is a sturdy amp
Is it a infinium series? I am about to buy one, but its not a infinium
Yes. I’ve had a brand new jcm800 in 1985, a 73, 69, 77 Marshall, dsl100, JTM45, and tbh it’s better sounding then them. I’m keeping my one for good
@Dimitribujiashvili yes it comes stock with bugera's own 6L6 tubes. And 6L6 or EL34, one is not "better" than the other, they serve different purposes, Think 'generally' el34's having a more scooped (not overly just slightly) british sound while 6l6's have a more midrangey american feel to them. I can't go past 6l6's more 'modern' metal, metalcore, hardcore etc etc but thats just MY own tone. Try everything out and see what you like :)
@Dojom1023 an OD like the Maxon or Ibanez tubescreamer makes your sound more compact and tightens the low end, so I guess it wouldn't help, maybe a compressor could do the trick
...but quite honestly I have played the 333XL and I don't think it lacks low end beef, maybe a different Cab or Guitar could help you to get a thicker sound.
i can say you pretty much have your signature tone whatever the ap you use. could you give some tips regarding eq? i mean what are the qualities you look for in your tone?
This song has such a Testament vibe to it!!! I know they are one of your favourite bands Ola the Swede!
@Paulko89 the newer bugeras are pretty faultless, the fist ones had some shitty plastic transformers wich couldn't resist the heat of the tubes.
@DarkZpartan9 The settings in the beginning of the video 0:07
@givemeajackson If you put a volume pedal in the fx loop, you don't actually crank the tubes when the master volume is cranked. You need a true attenuator for it. Unless you mean use a volume pedal for better control, then I agree
@CoolKabbage just for the control. you know, the volume pot is horribe in at low volume! the eq's don't react, then if you crank it 2 millimeters, your ears fall off :/
@lagiator It depends of which kind of rock you play. I own this amp and I really love the Crunch channel, it has enough gain for most rock and heavy rock (with hot pickups).
@democheparte
The marzio's won't fufill that roll very well, so I recommend the Blackouts, as they have a higher output than the EMGs and a more modern tone which seems to be what you're after.
First off I blare your music really loud in the morning with my windows open and my speakers facing my neighbors house cause I love it. Second I want a bugera 333xl or a trirec plz do a video on one of them soon or if it would be any trouble help me decide what to get I heard some demos of the trirec and I wasnt impressed was way to muddy but that can be the mic / placement or the mix.
you looked like an angel, ola
Got a deal one of these wanted to see a review from you cuz I know you do alot of bugera stuff and I must say it's weird seeing no beard. Btw grats on the new album .
Basically, this video made me buy this amp. ;) Basically, your movies in general gave me a whole new perspective to tone, thank you for that!
@Johndrumful305 Hi dude! My friend bought this amp not much after they came out(about 2-3 years ago, I guess.) And yes, it broke in ONE month. But he used the warranty to get the amp checked out, which means for free. Ever since then it works perfectly, and a lot of bands, and even some rehearsal rooms bought Bugera amps around town, because they liked the sound so much. In my opinion, they are definitely worth their price.
@Draceius. Nice nice. I'm in America though, so I think it may be different, but I'll look into it.
@krisis99 your listening to its raw sound in this video...
@Draceius. Huh. I was completely oblivious to this. Have the TRIREC and Magician come out also?
He usually tracks one left then one right with just an Sm57. You can see the stand in the right hand corner.
This video pretty much made up my mind about buying this amp'.
It has such a killer tone!
@Draceius. Is the Infinium series even out yet? They've been postponing it since like November.
dude your tests are badass :D thank you for making a high quality video with one of these :D-
I was checking all your videos (almost :D) and you got some really good skills producing music...
you got some really good skills on recordings
greets from the end of the world
@fearedse Yeah dude, what EQ did use on the Rhythm Guitars? They're so heavy!
Great amp and song!!! Could you please make a video with the Silverblade Hellhound 20 head also?
@Dojom1023 Your best bet is to get a eq pedal and use it in you effects loop. It will let you fine tune your sound.
@RandomHyperKid congrats!
I think that after all those beasts you've tested(and demonstrated their awesomeness), it's time to try some of the more humble (and lower priced) amps out there and demonstrate their abilities into metal sound, the bugeras are a good starting point..so if you get your hands into some cheaper amps, it'd be nice..after all, you're the only one on youtube to makes them sound good! :)
@grantorrone From experience in the studio if the amp or what ever instrument sounds wank in the first place there's no amount of processing that will improve it. From how it sounds on here it seems to be an extremely good amp!
wow, didn't expect great great tone from the Bugera
might have reconsider them...
is it possible to get a lead tone similar to carcass's "heartwork" or soilwork's "spirits of a future sun"? i think this amp sounds incredibly similar to a peavey 6505.
I'm soooo sorry if you feel forced. This guy asked for advice, I shared my experiences. I had two Bugera amps (one 333XL and one 6260) and both sucked big time. I still think they are crap.
man i love your videos and watch you playing, keep on rockin :)
@h2ogunmaet it's one of the better budget cabs out there. I've played through one and it soundedd pretty good to me. I haven't done extensive testing but it's pretty decent.
@matisku i have a 333xl that supposedly had the same problem with bad connections on the inside. this has been rectified false now the only problem i have ever had with a bugera is just changing blown Tubes
I was thinking about getting the 6505+ or the 6534+ I just don't know how to get a good tone out them. Maybe you could show me how to tweak the sound and get a good metal tone.
That thing is super smooth..
@lagiator nah, i think it's really an overtly metal amp. check out the bugera 333/333xl and 1990, those will fit you better i think.
I just realized this, but that little triple bend at the end of your solo is SO Michael Amott.
Nice playing and sound, blablabla, but the thing i am curious about is; what is the real color of your shirt? It was green, then purple, then blue....
Nice shit bro! this is just the guitar and the amp right? no pedals ? im thinking of bying the 6262-212, any differences? thanx bro
@hojam23 thanks dude, you can get them by donating to my blog olaenglund . com
@fearedse dude loving the vids, Im thinking about getting a burgera cant afford alot so that why Im going with them. Have you played the 333Xl is it any good and you MUST MUST!!! demo the Bugera trirec once it comes out that may be the one I want to buy. Keep the metal up man \m/
All my 6262 heads
What settings do you use and what pedals do you use?
I have my head set a tad over 6 on bass, mids, treble
Presence about 7
Gain about 8
No reverb
Key input for me so i use an ab/y pedal to make it all happen
Channel a is my fortin zuul in my fx loop
From front of amp it goes channel b:
Fortin 33
Abominable Hellmouth
Boss HM-2 waza
Mxr carbon copy
Whammy dt
Bananana Mandela
Channel y is my tuner and from there it goes to my guitar
30” scale custom build i did myself with a seymour duncan nazgul in the bridge and thats it
I wanna see what YOU guys run
... just the otherday I was going to mail you to do a test of that Bugera. But it is here and sounds great. What's your thoughts after doing a test drive?
I love my bugera 333xl, and I've thought of getting a 6262. But when it comes down to it, you have to have a 6505+, period.
What would you say about the new Infinium line by Bugera? I checked a few demos and they seem very promising.
Sounds great. I'm about to be selling my Peavey Classic (Metal ZOne in front does NOT cut it) for this or a 333/XL but can't decide on which. Any thoughts?
I think it's really really impressive that not matter what amp you play out of ALL the ones you have played you still get your tone plus the signature tone of the amp.
what's better for a more killswitch engage or august burns red tone? the 6262 or the 333xl? I'm kind of torn between the two
@fearedse Dude! Amazing sound! Here in Brazil I'm thinking about getting one of these. Things are really expensive here. Did it use the original Tubes?
Great playing man. I see you on a ass load of videos. You've got a lot of gear. I can't wait for the new 6262 infiniums to hit the u.s. market. But the one guy is right don't buy one older than fall of '09' . It was a molex connector that went to the power tube section that kept frying. Their tubes suck also. I've had my 1960 for 8 months and I crank the hell out of it at practice and live. And have had no problems. Every company makes mistakes and has problems at least bugeras making it right.
How does the Roadster cab sound compared to other 2x12's. Does the "half opened back" thing really affect the cab? If so, for better or worse?
man it sound killer , even without booster pedal
It's 1, 2, 3 War! From the Feared album pal! Killer tune, right?
@lagiator yes!
@ManofWar55 Yup,it came out after winter namm this year.
You didn't even use a boost? Or did you just not get it in the description? Either way, still impressive!
@X5SmileX1X but i cant find somewhere to buy the 6262 head, only the 6262 infinium head
Nice! In thinking of getting this amp head as my first and since it's around 500-600 I think? Would the matching can go well? In not what do you recommendas a good quality cab that's nit to pricey
Nice song btw!
Please do a video on the 333xl. I'm looking to purchase that amp.
Hey man. Question hope you'll help me out. I'm on a budget like everyone else. But I want a good thrash metal tone. Like Trivium, Lamb of God vibe. Would you suggest a Bugera? And if so which one? Thanks in advance!!
dude this rocks!! what are your settings for this? love it :D what cab are you using too? are u using the Bugera cab that they suggest or a different one? you can't rly say. thanks for this tho :D gonna have to get me one of these :D
@thesatanicpolkaburn As an owner of a 6262, there is nothing shit about this amp. Not sure where you're getting your info from.
Can you please give some insight on the eq settings and the mic position?
hey grat playing man, what did you use to record audio and video?
