Max Pein I’m a fan of the franchise and was sceptical when I learned about the reboot, switch to first person and the mostly new protagonists. I was very pleasantly surprised to find out that the entire game (sadly not all dlc) was playable in vr, not just a bonus level tacked on at the last minute. Completely immersive and utterly terrifying I’ve completed the game on madhouse difficulty but still haven’t played through it all in vr. Since this post PSVR owners have a new benchmark game. Wipeout Omega Collection has been patched to include full PSVR support and is a free update. It has to be played to be appreciated. Super smooth and one of the most polished games on the system it really is a milestone for hardcore fans of the Wipeout franchise and newcomers to the series.
Jonathan Lax Super Hot is a must buy. A great way to experience VR it’s a puzzle shooter that will leave you super hot. Best played standing it’s short but sweet
Tetris Effect is a must. I was sceptical about it at first but it is amazing. You literally lose sense of time and get lost in the worlds. VR makes it that much better too. Even without VR, it is a must buy.
Also check out Superhot VR. It's extremely challenging in the later levels, but a cool game nonetheless. Time only moves when you move in real life. Also worth mentioning is The windlands, the best spiderman simulator out there that doesn't feature spiderman. But beware, the game can make you seriously ill. And last but definitely not least, Arizona Sunshine. A truly great Zombie Shooter game that can be played either with 2 motion controllers or the "aim controller". It features an immersive but kind of short story and a horde mode. Also, everything can be played in CO-OP with friends, it truly is a VR masterpiece.
Well seeing as how Microsoft doesn't have a VR headset EVERYTHING on this list is an exclusive... No one said Sony wasn't supporting the PS4, especially since they have the most exclusives....
My top recommendations would be Moss, Sprint Vector, Superhot VR, Skyrim VR, Resident Evil 7, Thumper, Rez Infinite, Until Dawn Rush of Blood, Eagle Flight, and Statik.
I feel very blessed that I was able to skip straight to Expert games with PSVR - I don't suffer any of the motion sickness that others do. With that in mind, I can recommend Windlands. It has you swinging around a fantasy setting using two grappels, one on each hand. Lots of fun, but only if you have the stomach for it!
It was weird, I was always warned of the dangers of motion sickness and how I will DEFINITELY get sick. 10 minutes after a dive with a shark, I had a bit of a headache after a first use and was fine from there.
My biggest issue with PSVR is that even when playing a game about Winnie the Pooh having a cup of tea with Paddington Bear while they discuss flowers and sewing all i`m thinking about is the impending doom of something resembling the RING woman jumping at my face.
I'm glad this channel gives the psvr some love. I think people really expect less of it compared to the others but it really is a solid piece of kit. And with the new patent on a controller that looks specifically for psvr we should be getting smooth moving and possible of finger recognition to!
Boxvr and beat saber are my favorites. Also, after playing skyrim i realised that it might not take much longer untill there will finally be a sword art online game in vr.

One PSVR game that wasn't in the video and that I would highly recommend is a game called Sparc. I would probably classify it in the advance section, since you have to be very physically active in the game. Go check it out!!
I was given The Invisible Hours by a friend, and I ended up liking that quite a bit. It's a murder mystery where you explore this mansion and follow characters around to start piecing things together. The only downside is that you are just a passive observer throughout the story. That said, I enjoyed the twists and the depth to some of the characters.
Yeah, The Invisible Hours was well done. they obviously spent a lot of time on it. Very good story and good murder mystery. I got pretty far in before my GF started to complain about how much time I was spending.
I don't know if Beat Saber was on PSVR when this was made, but it is definitely the best VR game ever. From easy beats, to difficulty that hardcore gamers want (and will either get a workout, or decide to workout to get better at playing or for longer play times) this is like guitar hero for VR, but instead of a guitar, it's slicing to the beat with lightsabers.
I have RE7, Skyrim VR, and Rec Room. All phenomenal games, especially in VR. One you missed though is Star Wars: Squadrons. It feels so cool to fly through space in a TIE fighter blowing up your enemies in a huge online battle, comparable to a Battlefield game but in spaceships. In VR it really feels like you're in space and the weight of the headset even feels like you're wearing a helmet. In space there's no way up or down so it shouldn't make you feel too dizzy and at the same time it feels like a roller coaster boosting and drifting through asteroids sometimes
GOOD NEWS! There *IS* a 10 player online Aim-based FPS for VR! And it's only $7! ...aaand it looks laughable BUT it PLAYS well. Honor & Duty. No joke. Now that they've patched out the major bugs, the Aim implementation is actually better than Doom VFR. The single player is super basic, but the online is...well...pretty solid! As long as you don't mind how bad it looks, it's $7 well spent I say! Favorite PSVR game not on the list for me is Mortal Blitz. It's not flawless but...I mean...it's Time Crisis in VR with you PHYSICALLY ducking behind objects. Sparc is also really good as is Knock Out League.
Raw data, eve valkarie, spark, resident evil 7,moss, Riggs, bravo team, archangel, starblood arena, doom, far point and brook haven are my go to games I never get tired of in vr
MsFraggleRocks you have warm up to it try 30 min then 45 rest for 30min then 1 hour of gameplay if that does not work try ginger biscuits for the motion sickness
Skyrim is the only one on this list I've played. I lasted about 20 minutes, tried to "power through" the feeling of sickness I was getting - I was a VR novice. BAAAD idea. I felt rotten for about 2 days after that. I may give it another go some day soon and try to build up to it, because the 20 minutes I played were very impressive!
As a person who has quite a few PSVR games I agree with this list minus a few games, but that's probably just personal preference. I'd remove thump/rez/poly, Ultrawings, and Startrek and put Eve Valkyrie, Battlezone, and RIGS mechanized combat league in their place. Farpoint with the aim controller is so sick once you change the controls to have free full movement. Running up on a giant mech strafing it while pumping rounds into it while staying just out of it's laser scorching the ground behind you makes you feel like a super soldier from a movie. Well worth the investment, and Honor and Duty (graphics aside) has solid aim controller support and online multiplayer.
Well hear I am at 64 years of age and only just got my PS4 pro and second hand VR head set and move controllers. I just downloaded some demos must say I’m Very impressed Astro Bot is the best fun I have had since Ape Escape ordered squadrons from Amazon for £10 so I’m looking forward to becoming a Jedi
I think, what must play: Resident Evil 7 VR( but is so scary in house :D) No Man's Sky VR( one of most beautifull experiences, if not the best) Robinson: The Journey Doom VFR That's my list. After all what's next? Don't know :D
polybius is based off of a story about an arcade game that is dangerous to play and was only playable for not that long until it disappeared en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polybius_(urban_legend)
Robinson was breathtaking at times especially seeing one of the herbivore giants for the first time close up, also I will add Eve Valkyrie just for the sheer beauty of been launched into space for the first time and been in awe at the graphics, also getting neck ache from hours of playing and looking up through your vertical window chasing down the enemy, maybe my age is a little factor in that though.
Psvr always makes me mad because I’m used to oculus where I don’t have to be facing a sensor so I always get confused when I’m lagging around every where only to find out I’m facing the complete other side of the room
Hopefully getting the Skyrim/PSVR bundle for my birthday this weekend. It looks really cool, and I can’t wait to try it out, as well as a few other games. I have a friend who has VR, so we’ll probably be playing in the Rec Room a lot.
so did you get your VR...give an update...and what you think, I've had mine for about 4 months and I'm absolutely extremely Happy i invested into the PSVR...IT'S GREAT IMO
I've had PSVR for about 2 years. the only games I have are: Until Dawn- RushOfBlood, Resident Evil 7, PlayStation VR Worlds, Megaton Rainfall, Rollercoaster Dreams and Job Sim . I really want- Superhot, Surgeon Sim, Dino frontier, Paranormal activity, ect. ect.
Killing floor incursion was the most immersive I've played so far. Not so scary for me since I played a lot of killing floor 2. I love the knife throwing mechanic (it's all in the wrist) and the sniper rifle mechanic (although reloading it can be a bit glitchy). If you love zombie shooters it is a must. A good 4-6 hours of gameplay depending on how much you die or time it takes to figure out puzzles. Playing in Co-op is a must, so much fun.
Not sure if it's available on PS4, probably is since it's made by Ready At Dawn, (order 1886 Devs), but Lone Echo is a superb vr game, definitely worth a go in my opinion, looks really nice too :) ...trailer: ruclips.net/video/5UZ6fqlZavo/видео.html
Great video. You missed one of my favorites; Batman VR. I loved this game though it was pretty short. The feeling of it was great and I would love to see a more detailed, longer game.
Me too! I was giggling with joy while putting on the bat suit! And the asylum at the end freaked me out enough that I had to take off the headset only to realize later that I was at the end lol. I just wish there was more of an option to fight people and also was upset when I didnt get to actually drive the bat mobile! But I know VR will get there one day. It's a very good start for sure
I like to switch between Superhot VR and Drunkn bar fights as a warmup before i dive into a world like Skyrim or Arizona sunshine. Also Starblood arena is a fun TDM type game.
doom vfr deserves to be on the top of the list....playing it with the aim controller is a real treat....the game shows that doom definitely has a future in vr....
So I have already have the ps3 movement controller. Is that compatible with the PS4, and is simply the headset available or would I have to buy the whole bundle?
Great list of games mentioned, I would of added Bloody Zombies as a fun co-op game that you can play without vr, also for another free download playroom vr is a must get as well.
There's a Mario Kart Arcade GP VR in Japan for Namco's new VR arcade. There's also a game called VR Karts on PSVR but it's overpriced and lame. Sprint Vector is awesome though.
Moss is great; I highly recommend it. I actually enjoyed the Voltron VR game too, my biggest complaint being that it's too short and that there's no way to replay parts you want without starting over from the beginning
The Ultrawings footage made me wonder why Eagle Flight didn't get a nod, which to me is an exhilarating take on free flight. Definitely give that a try. Feels natural and amazing. One of my faves.
VR Chat would be cool. With VR, I think the social interactivity is the future of the medium. It’s just so expensive for a viable VR setup. The full body tracking really is where it’s at.
Since I love the couch games (playing with friends on the same ps4) I strongly recommend KTANE (keep talking and nobody explodes) !!! Amazing approach on VR experience!!
You missed the London heist although it's small it's a very immersive and intense game where you the player must shoot your way through enemies and do one simple puzzle, this game would be amazing in full release but their working on a new project which is going to be very similar
I just grabbed a PS VR a couple days ago and played lots of games and demos over the weekend, in my eyes Batman Arkham really shows where VR can go, I know it is short, but it was an awesome experience. Moss seems to be a really cool concept and just shows how VR and motion details is really improving up a known way of gameplay, reminded me a bit of a super cool enhanced Zelda. What really impressed me though was Wipeout, yeah it is a remake, and yeah it was neither done for VR nor it is really friendly towards the people with motion sickness, but I really liked the game anyways and in VR it is just incredibly cool. I am really looking to Golem and Beat Sabre, I guess These games will be very cool, in different ways.
You gotta check our Werewolves Within. It's a social deduction game played with up the 8 players. It would fit in the beginner section. But it's a blast, especially if you enjoy party games like Mafia or Werewolf.
Here's a quick list...
Beginner Games:
- The Lost Bear
- Moss
- Statik
- Rec Room
- Job Simulator
Intermediate Games:
- Ultrawings
- Farpoint
- Until Dawn: Rush of Blood
- Rez Infinite/Polybius/Thumper
- Star Trek: Bridge Crew
Experienced Games:
- Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
- Doom VFR
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR
- Raw Data
- Sprint Vector
Elder scrolls was my first vr game lol
Is that 15 games you should get for psvr
Neel Awal don’t forget Firewall Zero Hour
You forgot Here they Lie, awesome game.
Beat saber and superhot?
Resident Evil 7 is utterly terrifying in VR. A full blown AAA game can be done in VR and Capcom have nailed it
absolutly, I think they should get way more praise for that. It is a milestone in gaming history.
Max Pein I’m a fan of the franchise and was sceptical when I learned about the reboot, switch to first person and the mostly new protagonists. Yes Wipeout sounds amazing, I have to try it out as soon as possible :D

@Yettere nolastname Yup
Beat Saber, Firewall: Zero hour, and Creed: Rise to Glory are all fun.

1. Astro Bot: Rescue Mission
2. Superhot VR
3. Wipeout Omega Collection

Super Hypercube
PlayStation need to bring out the PSVR treadmills for the consumer

Imho it’s terribly wrong to state Sony isn’t supporting PSVR. They have made more exclusives than MS did for the X1!

So... Uh... Yeah.... You're right? 😂 lol
BLOOD & TRUTH WAS A FANTASTIC GAME
If only Elite Dangerous was available in VR on the PS4. It is the most in depth, well made VR game on any platform.
My top recommendations would be Moss, Sprint Vector, Superhot VR, Skyrim VR, Resident Evil 7, Thumper, Rez Infinite, Until Dawn Rush of Blood, Eagle Flight, and Statik.

I like to switch between Superhot VR and Drunkn bar fights as a warmup before i dive into a world like Skyrim or Arizona sunshine. Also Starblood arena is a fun TDM type game.
drunkin bar fights.... haha. that's funny
doom vfr deserves to be on the top of the list....playing it with the aim controller is a real treat....the game shows that doom definitely has a future in vr....
HopOnTheHype .
,, ....
dbcpk There are many better games than Doom VfR
Doom vfr is the only game that gets me motion sickness, i cant play more than 1 hour straight. Im playing with the dualshock4
The Persistence is freaking amazing in Vr. We only have to demo so far, but damn.... can’t wait for the full release
Eve valkarie?
Firewall zero hour, the persistence, blood and truth and gunjack VR. 4 games I love
Rigs makes me feel sick. Just thinking about it makes me feel sick
Now i feel sick thinking about u playing it and being sick lol
rush of blood is a must have!
You forgot Beat Saber and FNAF: Help Wanted
Fnaf help wanted is actually really clean for vr
Be reminded that list list came out in 2018
whats that cockpit shooter at 22:50! Never mind figured it out Scavengers Odyssey!
Megaton Rainfall?
So I have already have the ps3 movement controller. Is that compatible with the PS4, and is simply the headset available or would I have to buy the whole bundle?
6:22 did u just say ‘ Bee-ta’?!?!? It’s *BAY-TA*!
...... No
FlapJack Clips it still is in beta
He's English so of course uses the English pronunciation - "beetah".
@@Daz5Daz agreed
@@Daz5Daz except it's not an English word, it's greek. And in Greek it would actually be "veeta"
Here they Lie was my first PSVR and it was one of the best and most unique games I've played.
Beat saber just came out on ps4... I know what I'm going to buy first 😏
Good choice.
Great list of games mentioned, I would of added Bloody Zombies as a fun co-op game that you can play without vr, also for another free download playroom vr is a must get as well.
Mario Kart VR - now THAT'S a game I would buy. ;)
Tomas Green Sprint Vector is for you then.
There's a Mario Kart Arcade GP VR in Japan for Namco's new VR arcade.
There's also a game called VR Karts on PSVR but it's overpriced and lame. Sprint Vector is awesome though.
Gorn is gory but it’s very fun you salute to start fights and when you progress more in the game you get more weapons
RIGS?
Thank you! Someone who had the same thought as me! Where the heck was this?
Moss is great; I highly recommend it. I actually enjoyed the Voltron VR game too, my biggest complaint being that it's too short and that there's no way to replay parts you want without starting over from the beginning
@Eurogamer bosses: Put up the cash to get Mr Higton a Rift so he can cover PC VR too! :D
The Ultrawings footage made me wonder why Eagle Flight didn't get a nod, which to me is an exhilarating take on free flight. Definitely give that a try. Feels natural and amazing. One of my faves.
SuperHot, Dirt Rally.
Firewall , a psvr shooter using psvr aim or the dualshock controler ,you can play pve and pvp games
I broke my tv playing creed :/
Adottz. Damn 😂
Lmao I punched a wall fighting Ricky Conlan and almost broke my controllers
Oh yeah yeah
@@susa726 yeah yeah yeah yeah
@@laputahh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
VR Chat would be cool. With VR, I think the social interactivity is the future of the medium. It’s just so expensive for a viable VR setup. The full body tracking really is where it’s at.
Can someone help me? How do you generally move in a VR game? What takes the place of the D pad or analog sticks to progress the game forward?
resident evil in vr is masterpiece. after completing it nothing has touched the level of quality and catched me in a way RE did.
Really? I thought it looked like shit honestly.. The game is fun, but it's probably the worst looking vr game in existence
Glad to see Statik on the list. Truly amazing game.
Thank you I have been looking for this information.
