What are some of your favorite titles for the PSVR? EDIT: I accidentally said 2013 instead of 2016 for the PSVR's release date. Not sure why as I know that would've been way too early. But can't change it now. :(
Finally, one of favorite channels reviewing one of my favorite things! You picked a lot of great games to cover. The only thing I’d add is that any game that utilizes dynamic resolution (like Star Wars Squadrons, Fracked or Dreams) run at a higher resolution with PSVR on PS5 and look stunning! Great video Joe!
You were able to just respawn?! Wtf am I doing wrong?! I can't cope with the freezing and hard crashing to black that I get, and I don't think my cerebral cortex can handle too many more disconnect, wait, reconnect operations.😵
Another cool VR mode is in Sega Genesis Collection. You just sit in a virtual bedroom from the 90's playing Genesis games on an old tv. You can pick different games from the shelf next to you. It's just a cool, relaxing experience
That one complaint I have with the VR mode is that you can't use your VR controllers to reach over to the shelf, grab a game and then stick it in the console
@@chrisfratz Ive just seen some footage but the actual game has been displayed on a big screen (like in a cinema for luck of better explanation). But can you play the games while still seeing the 3d room around?
The community is shrinking, but Star Trek: Bridge Crew is the best VR experience I've had yet! Great people, fun missions and you get to captain a starship! I'd highly recommend it, I've done a fair bit of streaming it myself!
I have this on both PSVR and PC but haven't tried the multiplayer. I know this is where the game is supposed to shine. I am just too much of a wuss to play with randoms. Lol. Trying to get my Nephew to buy a copy (may have to gift him one for Xmas on steam) so we can have a laugh. The thing is. I wouldn't know whether I would take it seriously or just mess about with it.
You might already have Superhot VR on another device, but if you don't, I highly recommend getting it for PS VR. It is my favorite VR game. It also is pretty intuitive (except the throwing motions). Truly awesome game.
The games I use to show VR to people are Job Simulator, Vacation Simulator, Cloudlands: VR MiniGolf, Tilt Brush, SportsBar VR, and Google Earth. I avoid showing anything with movement to prevent them from getting slightly sick and dismissing VR all together. If the first video game anyone has ever played in their life gets them sick that just scares them away so I am careful on what to show based on what I think they can handle.
I really enjoyed "Statik, institute of retention", I'd also recommend "Psychonauts in the rhombus of ruin", and "Trover saves the universe". So many great games...
I got one this year and i consider it to be my best gaming purchase, it offers a whole new way to experience games, stuff like synth riders, job simulator, trover saves the universe, tetris effect, rez infinite and Keep talking and nobody explodes are worth the price of admission
My favorite part about PSVR Worlds was that I actually DID show my mom the Ocean Descent game and she got so scared on the base level that she didn't finish it. And then I showed my grandma and she absolutely loved it. Funny how that works.
PSVR for me personally has been great! So many games I've enjoyed on it, hope sony keeps advancing the availability of the technology and not leave it behind like they did with the Vita. Edit: recommend using the AIM for farpoint it makes it infinitely better. Also Tetris Effect is a very spiritual experience in VR. Which is strange to say until you try it. Star Wars Squadrons should only ever be played in VR. Gran Turismo in VR is also fantastic. Walking Dead Saint and Sinners is a great VR Zombie fix.
Superhot VR and Shooty Fruity are two games I've spent the longest playing on my PSVR myself, but Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes is a great party game. Edit: Eurgh, I forgot about Accounting+ and the VR Rick and Morty game. Those are some...interesting games to play under the influence of mind altering drugs.
Oh this will be good. I don't use mine enough any more, was hoping for more improvement on PS5 tbh. But... Whenever I do jump back in to a PSVR classic like Astrobot, I'm blown away all over again. I know it's not the highest res etc etc but it can still be magical. Dreams is a nice game to have now that it has VR stuff too Edit: You can turn on smooth turning in Res Evil 7 btw!
I HAVE re7 in PsVR . I havent tried the Game in VR.. cuZ the movement like insta jumping from place to place put me off. I finished the Game normally.. can You set up the Game To more more smothly?
Yeah, I wish more games were enhanced on PS5, but some are, and it's amazing. Dreams gets a HUGE improvement on PS5, same with No Man's Sky. Squadrons and Blood and Truth get a bit of a resolution bump, and most games have their load times reduced. Having more games with PS5 enhancements would be awesome, but I think Sony and most PSVR developers are focusing on PSVR 2 at this point. And I totally get what you're saying about PSVR being magical, despite it's limitations. First time I played Moss I fell in love with VR. Games like RE7 and Ace Combat 7 really solidified how amazing it can be. So excited for the new headset next year!
Awesome episode as always. I've read it a few times, but that's all I can think of when watching the video: One doesn't realize how absolutely mindblowing VR can be until playing something like Astrobot. I know I couldn't believe my eyes and ears when I first put those glasses on and played that game.
Battlezone is my go to VR game absolutely awesome! It uses the Joypad so you don't have to worry about your surroundings. There's even a classic mode, which recreates the original 1980 wireframe vector game in the virtual reality environment, soooooooo cool!
The best looking game I've played in VR is Red Matter, it's an adventure puzzle game though and fairly short. I played it on Oculus Quest 2 but it is apparently available for PSVR. Another recommendation is Walkabout Mini Golf. It has a bunch of courses with easy and hard versions along with fun collectables for various courses.
I read an article about the Google Cardboard headset in 2015. I'd been out of gaming for a good 10 years, but the VR thing intrigued me. I spent $20 on a cardboard headset, and I was off to the races. Cardboard to Gear VR to PS4+PSVR to gaming PC+PCVR to PCVR w/Quest². I don't even want to begin to guess at how much I've spent, but I love this stuff. I haven't even mentioned the AIM controller I bought, or the Logitech G29 I added for PCVR. My PSVR stopped working on me. That's when I decided to switch to PCVR. I don't regret it, but I do miss some of those Sony exclusives.
Great to see Game Sack finally shining the spotlight on PSVR and some of its stellar games! Resident Evil 7 and Farpoint do have smooth turning options though, so don’t get discouraged by thinking only snap turning is available. Here are some more recommendations I believe every self-respecting PSVR player needs in their lives: Here They Lie (creepy FP walking sim), Megaton Rainfall (feel like a God of destruction, free FP flying), Theseus (3rd person God of War wannabe), Doom VFR (free FP movement, kill ‘em all), Driveclub VR (cockpit, highly immersive), The Solus Project (free FP movement, survive the planet), Robinson: The Journey (gorgeous world, free FP movement), Apex Construct (epic bow & arrow combat, free FP movement), Arizona Sunshine (free FP movement, zombie shooter), The Persistence (super intense rogue-like, free FP movement), Creed: Rise to Glory (FP, move around in the ring and knock ‘em down), Unearthing Mars 2: The Ancient War (great FP on-rails shooter), The Wizards (free FP movement, excellent magic combat), Red Matter (FP walking sim, epic setting), Table of Tales: The Crooked Crown (excellent FP table-top game), A Fisherman's Tale (FP puzzle game with great ideas and setting), SEGA Mega Drive & Genesis Classics (play 50+ hits in your FP children’s room on a CRT in front of you), Immortal Legacy: The Jade Cipher VR (free FP movement, adventure/FPS mix), Gungrave VR (3rd person shooter), Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot (feels great in the FP mech cockpit, free movement), Trover Saves The Universe (hilarious diorama-style Jump’n’Run with Justin Roiland humor), Killing Floor: Incursion (free movement, FPS with nice melee combat), Space Channel 5 VR: Kinda Funky News Flash! (Ulala is back, funky as hell, FP), Golem (free FP movement, great atmosphere and sword combat), BoxVR (FP, I use this for cardio sessions!), Headbutt Factory (Hong Kong exclusive, solve puzzles by heading the ball in FP), Pupil: Wandering (Hong Kong exclusive FP walking sim), Mini Motor Racing X (totally rocks in FP cockpit mode), Star Wars: Squadrons (360 degrees FP flight combat), FORM (stylish FP puzzle game), Shadow Legend VR (free FP movement, engaging sword combat, cool setting), No Man's Sky (the immersion in FP is beyond the beyond), Fracked (great FPS), Vader Immortal 1-3 (awesome story mode, excellent lightsaber dojos, FP) And here are some in my opinion hidden gems you need once you’re done with all of the more popular titles: How We Soar (awesome setting, free FP flying), Time Machine VR (free FP cockpit movement under water, cool setting), Loading Human (love the atmosphere and story, free FP movement), Fated: The Silent Oath (kinda stmospheric, free FP movement), Archangel (on-rails mech FP cockpit shooter), End Space (360 degrees FP space combat), Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin (querky FP point-and-click-style puzzle game), The Lost Bear (side-scrolling Jump’n’Run with great depth), EVE: Gunjack (FP cockpit wave shooter), Ultrawings VR (360 degrees FP flying “sim”), Don’t Knock Twice (spooky FP walking sim), Hex Tunnel (trippy FP avoid obstacles game), , The Invisible Hours (unique idea, FP adventure, rewind/fast forward time), Dark Legion (trashy but fun FPS), Torn (neat FP puzzle game, great setting), Thumper (3rd person, way more intense in VR), Accounting+ (silly FP “puzzle” game, Justin Roiland humor), Downward Spiral: Horus Station (360 degrees FP zero gravity, 2P coop), Kona (free FP movement, atmospheric adventure), Eden Tomorrow (free FPS movement, atmospheric sci-fi adventure), Crystal Rift (basic but excellent FP dungeon crawler), Ghost Giant VR (heartwarming diorama puzzle game), Scraper: First Strike (mech cockpit, free movement FPS), Evasion (2P coop FPS), Focus on You (great graphics, simple but nice FP dating/photo sim), You Are Being Followed (free FP movement, free game, kinda cool), Operation Warcade (cool and trashy FP Operation Wolf parody), Crisis VRigade 2 (2P coop FP Time Crisis wannabe), Down the Rabbit Hole (charming diorama puzzle game), Radial-G: Racing Revolved (360 degrees FP racing game, think F-Zero X tube tracks)
@@Gatorade69 Haha! 😁 And since I, thank God, never suffer from any motion sickness, my recommendations include TONS of FP (first person) & free movement games. Playing PSVR since it released in October 2016 and the only 2 flatscreen games (outside of retro stuff of course) I played in the last 5 years are Streets of Rage 4 and Shadow of the Colossus HD PS4 remake! 😆 166 PSVR games played (130 at 100% trophies) and got a 60+ titles backlog. 😅
There are a number of PSVR games that are PS5 enhanced. Blood & Truth - higher resolution, higher framerate (up to 90 FPS), highest detailed assets used at all times, improved texture details Firewall: Zero Hour - higher supersampling rates No Man's Sky - significantly improved resolution and performance (PS5 is a night and day difference compared to the PS4 Pro) Farpoint - higher supersampling rates DWVR - improved graphics, 120FPS Swordsman VR - increased pixel density Fracked - dynamic resolution, improved framerate Dreams - dynamic resolution, improved framerate Star Wars: Squadrons - dynamic resolution Minecraft - no loading within a world, improved framerate Also Resident Evil 7 and Farpoint both support smooth turning, not just snap turning. It’s in the options. There are options for how fast you turn, and it’s recommended you turn the speed all the way up.
I'd recommend the Quest 2 over psvr, but yeah either or. Depends on if you want wires or not, and if the ps exclusives are of interest (astrobot is damn phenomenal). Quest 2 looks a lot cleaner though, but you need to link your Facebook account.
Psvr is blurry as shit and the cables make it 100 worse I got it a year after it came out and sold it after 3 weeks after I played Skyrim and recroom, trash
@@DiegoSanchez-ly4xo lol you barely played it and only played 2 games? it has way better games. Also it has better detail as a Quest 2 stand alone, seeing as ps4 is more powerful then that mobile vr. Seems like you failed to setup it right, when done right image isn't that blurry at all
@@rickylovesyou just build it up slowly. I can't even sit in a Rollercoaster, but vr tolerance can be built up. Stop playing as soon as you feel slightly sick. In beginning I could sometimes play for ten minutes. But I built up my tolerance to the extend of being able to play for entire days without feeling anything
I also bought Skyrim VR (which should've been a free update, but I digress), and there were some aspects about it that had me quitting after an hour. When I hold a sword aloft, it doesn't interact with physics objects. There's something about that minor disconnect between player and world that I started noticing everywhere, but what's worse is the amount of breaks I kept having to take for how uncomfortable my headset was, and glitches/ unexpected movements would inevitably make me feel sick. Skyrim VR succeeded in making me want to sit down and play the game normally so I could eat a snack at the same time, though.
I look forward to Game Sack every other Saturday. If I can throw in a suggestion-- I loved the Turbografx episode where you covered every game, I bought a PC Engine months ago and that video kicked ass for me. Now I recently got a Neo Geo, and since I know you've got the NeoSD Pro, you think you might wanna do something like the Turbografx video for the Neo Geo? Out of all the consoles I own, I find that every random game I play on Neo Geo I end up liking, it's the only one out there like that. I would love to see your take on every Neo Geo game. EDIT: In hindsight though, I realize every Neo Geo game takes minutes to load with these flash carts.... so if you ever did something like that it would take forever.
You really under sold Astrobot. That game is AMAZINGLY AWESOME INSANE FUN!!!! GRAPHICS, MUSIC, SCALE. The feeling of controlling a little guy running around you. TRULY NEXT GAMING.
LOL, who would shoot spit balls at a teacher to distract her from what you're doing? That's the best way to get a teacher's attention. Generally what I do is hide under the desk like a ninja when the lights dim for the overhead projector slides, and then I sneak out of class. This only works IRL
By the way, the best PSVR game for me is Astro Bot. Astro's Playroom on the PS5 is nice but man, makes you realize how much VR made the previous one so special. Everybody assumes VR only works for first person games but this one really shows it isn't true. You feel like you're inside that world with your little RC robot, standing up and looking for secrets and pathways before you control your robot over there, it's so damn cool. If the PSVR had only two games, Astro Bot and RE7, I would still be happy with it. I really hope Sony is making a sequel as a launch game for their upcoming PSVR 2.
Joe. In wipeout. Change the options so the car does not swivel. You have to change it in the options to make it feel more like a car seat. Idk why but they made it feel like you are sitting on a pendulum on default. You can turn that off and it feels just like you are in a car driver seat. I used to only play for only like 20mins. I changed that and can play for hours now.
As a former psvr owner. I appreciate it for the fact that it was my first impression of vr. I was blown away. But then the quest 2 came out. I love the quest!
It's something you have to experience for yourself, because videos do it zero justice. I used to hate on VR....then I got a psvr and fell in love. Now I own a quest 2, which blows my mind even more (especially if you add an external battery to make it last 8hrs). I have yet to connect my quest to one of my gaming PCs, the stand alone experiences are
@@Hijynx87 ok, I just got into the whole connect it to your PC thing. It's awesome, but my God it was more difficult than I thought. I now have quest, steam, and rift libraries scattered in 3 different places and what feels like 100 different ways to access them. Though I felt like I never touched a computer before, it's been worth it! VR escape rooms have been the best gaming surprise I've had in a while. Who knew that the genre would lend itself so we'll to VR? But it does!
Farpoint with the rifle controller is AWESOME, btw. Grab one if you find it at a decent price or borrow one. Aiming down the sights works crazy well and it makes me wish there was a “Silent Scope” arcade collection for PSVR.
If you don't already have one, there are 3D printable buttstock mods for the PS Aim. If you used the PS Move Sharp Shooter attachment, it feels a lot like that. I find it makes Farpoint and Firewall even better since you can rest it in a realistic position and it lessens the load on your arms trying to hold the Aim in the same position away from yourself.
The cockpit stabilizing effects in Wipeout really help. The aim controller is a bit expensive but worth it for games like farpoint. It's a bit of a shame that more games do not utilize it.
Farpoint Alvo Firewall Doom VFR Crisis VRigade 1&2 Arizona Sunshine After the Fall Solaris Sniper Elite VR Etc. Etc…..there are a bunch of games now that support the AIM controller
ASTRO BOT: Oh my god, it's like "Mario VR" or "Ape Escape VR" when you have to collect coins and save your friends, I love it when, to find certain friends, you have to (in the real world) Stand up, out of your chair, and literally turn around and look up and find them. MOSS: If you've played it, there is a moment near the end when you're in a castle, and (in the real world) you finding yourself standing up and walking down the halls. You take a moment to appreciate just how far gaming has come over the years.
So Many Amazing PSVR Exclusives like Blood and Truth, Astrobot Rescue Mission, Paper Beast, Deracine, Far point, Firewall: Zero Hour, Resident Evil 7, Wipeout Omega Collection, Iron Man VR, Dreams, Fracked, Everybody's Golf VR, Hitman 3, Arashi, Golem and more! 😁
Star Wars Battlefront X-Wing VR mission blew me away.. the AT-AT walking past you on the title screen was amazing. The mission is short but so good… Squadrons in VR is the full game.. recommended :)
The video says that PSVR was released in October 2013, but it wasn’t released until October 2016. I thought I was going crazy for a moment there…great show, as always, man.
You should try Firewall: Zero Hour with an Aim controller. The experience is incredible and I cannot imagine anything ever coming close to it. It’s a lot like a tactical Rainbow Six type game but being able to physically stick your gun around a corner and blind fire is pretty nuts.
I think you should try these, I liked them. Star Wars - Squadrons, RIGS - Mechanized Combat League, No Man's Sky, Zone of the Enders - The 2nd Runner, Borderlands 2 VR & Eve Valkyrie.
21:52 Sorry to correct you, but didn't the Astro Bots make their first appearance in "The Playroom"? You know, the long forgotten tech demo for the Playstation Camera. They were still called AR Robots back then. Some of the best PSVR games you should try are: Super Hot VR, Arashi, Star Trek Bridge Crew, Iron Man, Star Wars Squadrons, Gran Turismo Sport, No Man's Sky, The Battlefront 1 VR Mission and the free VR Demo for Call of Duty. You are also standing too close to the camera and you should mount the camera somewhat higher, pointing slightly downwards.
@@GameSack You showed the configuration screen at 26:48 . The camera is placed definitely too low and the room is too brightly lit. The camera can have problems tracking the headset and controllers if it sees another bright lightsource or reflections of the controllers. That's where the floatiness you encountered comes from.
I picked up a used psvr complete setup fairly cheap but only used it a few times. Amazing experience but it made me feel sick strait away each time playing it so to me it wasn’t worth trying to persist with it so I sold it but if it doesn’t make u feel sick then it’s worth having for sure as a different gaming experience
Hey Joe, awesome new video! Love it when you have a new system-specific one as always. :) Also FYI, I know Astro first appeared on The Playroom for PS4 (not The Playroom VR). Just a minor correction, still an awesome review video. :)
I think he was implying in an actual game. Playroom was nothing more than a tech demo for the camera and new controller. But still yeah Astro seems to be the PS4 mascot in general.
VR is a gimmick, belongs in amusement parks. It's basically 3D glasses for movies...it comes around every 20 years, some people get really into, the industry oversells it, people lose interest and it goes away for 20 years only to be rolled back out again as 'nifty'. Seriously, anyone reading this really into VR, just realize it's a gimmick, please. It's not 'the future' just as 3D films are not 'the future'.
Enjoyed the video, and you picked some great games! Quick correction though: you said the PS5 doesn't enhance PSVR games, and that's mostly true, but there are a few that are actually substantially enhanced on PS5, and some that are more modestly so. Dreams and No Man's Sky get HUGE improvements for PSVR on a PS5, while games like Star Wars Squadrons and Blood and Truth also have enhancements, but more modest ones. Also loading times are sometimes greatly reduced, like in Skyrim VR and Iron Man. That aside, I'd like to thank you for making this video. I've seen a lot of videos lately where people just crap on PSVR. It's definitely showing it's age, but there are some awesome games on it. Beyond your list, I'd recommend Rush VR, Skyrim VR, Eagle Flight, Headmaster, Pistol Whip, The Persistence (currently free on PS+), The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners (also free on PS+), and Superhot VR. I'd also recommend Dreams, but it's all user generated content. Some of it is amazing, most is garbage. Best way to enjoy it is to find youtube videos for recommended creations. PSVR Underground has a few solid lists of the best Dreams has to offer. Can't wait to see what Sony does with their next headset! Keep up the awesome content!
Great video with a nice variety of games. Kind of wish you had mentioned Tetris Effect as I feel it's one of the definitive VR experiences, but you did mention that you weren't as big a fan of puzzle games so I understand. Still, it's impossible to showcase everything so thanks for the quality content, Joe!
I own almost all these games. The VR games go on sale so often on PS store. I collected them all in about 2 years. RE7 is my personal fav because it was my first VR game. Rush of Blood is also my demo game to friends. Recently I bought the gun and playing games that support it. Another thing I did is only buy the games from the ps store. I have a separate hard drive just for VR games so have all my games for it when I take it out. That and all the games go on sale so much . No disk at all. Easy to take out or travel with all my VR games. Last time I checked I had about 40 vr games all on a single hard drive. Make sure you order your cord now if you are planning on getting a ps5. It's free and takes like 2 weeks to get by mail. You don't have to have a ps5 to order it online. Love psvr and look forward to their next version.
I believe Star Wars Squadrons has VR support. There was a VR mission with the 2015 Battlefront game that was a PSVR exclusive. If you ever wanted to fight the Empire for real, those are the games for you. Elite Dangerous might be supported as well.
0:36 October of 2016 not 2013. But anyway, people with too much money on them are seriously bashing the PSVR now for being outdated and having smudgy graphics. Sure, but that was the very first time a headset like this had become widly avaible for the masses! Something we all been dreaming about since the early '90's with so many failed and unfulfilled promises like the Virtual boy or the Sega Genesis or Atari Jaguar VR projects!
1:01 there are with certain games that received a PS5 patch (Blood & Truth, Swordsman VR...) or games that use dynamic resolution which will naturally look better (SW: Squadrons, Dreams)
For those who like Pilotwings, there's a game called Ultrawings for the PSVR that is not exactly the same but it's clone enough, it's worth a try. I would also recommend Iron Man VR and Star Wars Squadrons. Also, there's a demo, not a full game unfortunately, called The Last Guardian VR. It's really cool to see Trico as a "real" giant... thing close to you, it really makes me wish they had converted the whole game to VR.
Hey Joe, fellow Coloradan here (native even). Love your content. I got a PS VR for one game, Wipeout. I can't play it very long because I do get motion sickness from it, lol, but it is awesome.
Great vid Joe, I went and purchased Blood and Truth straight after it based on your recommendation. I'd recommend checking out Vader Immortal if you're into Star Wars stuff, along with the VR mission in Star Wars Battlefront 2015 (another PSVR exclusive FYI). Totally with you on the VR luge thing. Played 5 minutes of it and felt like I was going to hurl my guts up 🤢
Starwars squadrons I think are the devs who created the sw battlefront VR missions and squadrons, just like resident evil 7 can be played with of without VR
@@CuriousChronicles82275 Yeah, I've got Squadrons. Not as big a fan of it compared to the Battlefront VR Mission, as it leans so heavily into sim type mechanics. I prefer the more arcade-y style of Battlefront's flying.
Did you know that the brick breaker game from the PS Worlds VR originates from a game called Proton Pulse? The creator of Proton Pulse worked at Sony at the time and his title made the rounds inside sony before he left and went indie.
Two PlayStation VR recommendations are Star Wars Squadrons. and Star Trek Bridge Crew. Squadrons is a space fighter combat games set in the Star Wars Universe between the original trilogy and the sequel trilogy and can be played entirely in VR in both single and multiplayer. Bridge Crew is a four player coop game were each player takes control of a bride position on a Star Trek Ship, either a original ship set in the new movies timeline, the Enterprise as it was presented in the original series or get the DLC for the Enterprise-D from The Next Generation. unfortunately for Bridge Crew their were no updates after the DLC and the community has slowly wandered off so it can now take a wile to find a lobby if you don't already have people to play it with.
What are some of your favorite titles for the PSVR? EDIT: I accidentally said 2013 instead of 2016 for the PSVR's release date. Not sure why as I know that would've been way too early. But can't change it now. :(

The best thing about VR is the sense of scale.
Oh this will be good. I don't use mine enough any more, was hoping for more improvement on PS5 tbh. But... Whenever I do jump back in to a PSVR classic like Astrobot, I'm blown away all over again.
I know it's not the highest res etc etc but it can still be magical.
Dreams is a nice game to have now that it has VR stuff too
Edit: You can turn on smooth turning in Res Evil 7 btw!
I HAVE re7 in PsVR
. I havent tried the Game in VR.. cuZ the movement like insta jumping from place to place put me off. I finished the Game normally.. can You set up the Game To more more smothly?
@@ignissolus7503 You can use normal smooth turning yeah
GameSack flipping RULES!!!!!!!
Flippin' HECK yeah!!!!!!
Battlezone is my go to VR game absolutely awesome! It uses the Joypad so you don't have to worry about your surroundings. There's even a classic mode, which recreates the original 1980 wireframe vector game in the virtual reality environment, soooooooo cool!
I was locking up the bar after a long shift when I saw this amazing thumbnail on my phone.
Thank you, Joe.
Walkabout mini golf is quite the gem. Who doesn't like mini golf?!
PSVR was released in 2016. Had to look it up, 2013 would meant it predated or was released around the same time as the first Oculus.
Did I say 2013? Wow. Not sure how that got into my brain.

(Ulala is back, funky as hell, FP), Golem (free FP movement, great atmosphere and sword combat), BoxVR (FP, I use this for cardio sessions!), Headbutt Factory (Hong Kong exclusive, solve puzzles by heading the ball in FP), Pupil: Wandering (Hong Kong exclusive FP walking sim), Mini Motor Racing X (totally rocks in FP cockpit mode), Star Wars: Squadrons (360 degrees FP flight combat), FORM (stylish FP puzzle game), Shadow Legend VR (free FP movement, engaging sword combat, cool setting), No Man's Sky (the immersion in FP is beyond the beyond), Fracked (great FPS), Vader Immortal 1-3 (awesome story mode, excellent lightsaber dojos, FP)
And here are some in my opinion hidden gems you need once you’re done with all of the more popular titles: How We Soar (awesome setting, free FP flying), Time Machine VR (free FP cockpit movement under water, cool setting), Loading Human (love the atmosphere and story, free FP movement), Fated: The Silent Oath (kinda stmospheric, free FP movement), Archangel (on-rails mech FP cockpit shooter), End Space (360 degrees FP space combat), Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin (querky FP point-and-click-style puzzle game), The Lost Bear (side-scrolling Jump’n’Run with great depth), EVE: Gunjack (FP cockpit wave shooter), Ultrawings VR (360 degrees FP flying “sim”), Don’t Knock Twice (spooky FP walking sim), Hex Tunnel (trippy FP avoid obstacles game), , The Invisible Hours (unique idea, FP adventure, rewind/fast forward time), Dark Legion (trashy but fun FPS), Torn (neat FP puzzle game, great setting), Thumper (3rd person, way more intense in VR), Accounting+ (silly FP “puzzle” game, Justin Roiland humor), Downward Spiral: Horus Station (360 degrees FP zero gravity, 2P coop), Kona (free FP movement, atmospheric adventure), Eden Tomorrow (free FPS movement, atmospheric sci-fi adventure), Crystal Rift (basic but excellent FP dungeon crawler), Ghost Giant VR (heartwarming diorama puzzle game), Scraper: First Strike (mech cockpit, free movement FPS), Evasion (2P coop FPS), Focus on You (great graphics, simple but nice FP dating/photo sim), You Are Being Followed (free FP movement, free game, kinda cool), Operation Warcade (cool and trashy FP Operation Wolf parody), Crisis VRigade 2 (2P coop FP Time Crisis wannabe), Down the Rabbit Hole (charming diorama puzzle game), Radial-G: Racing Revolved (360 degrees FP racing game, think F-Zero X tube tracks)

@@DonutTPOTer Cool. Yeah, reviews are positive, I'll get it eventually. 😀
Rush of Blood is amazing. I really hope they make another one.
There are a number of PSVR games that are PS5 enhanced.
Blood & Truth - higher resolution, higher framerate (up to 90 FPS), highest detailed assets used at all times, improved texture details
Firewall: Zero Hour - higher supersampling rates
No Man's Sky - significantly improved resolution and performance (PS5 is a night and day difference compared to the PS4 Pro)
Farpoint - higher supersampling rates
DWVR - improved graphics, 120FPS
Swordsman VR - increased pixel density
Fracked - dynamic resolution, improved framerate
Dreams - dynamic resolution, improved framerate
Star Wars: Squadrons - dynamic resolution
Minecraft - no loading within a world, improved framerate
Also Resident Evil 7 and Farpoint both support smooth turning, not just snap turning. It’s in the options. There are options for how fast you turn, and it’s recommended you turn the speed all the way up.
So you distract the teacher from looking at you playing games in class by blowing spitballs at her…while she’s looking at you. Okay.
I love my psvr, I feel like alot more people would love it if they tried it , its incredible.
Seems like you failed to setup it right, when done right image isn't that blurry at all
@@solid_justice5855 Nah bro, ive had it 2 times and ended up selling it, its usless
@@DiegoSanchez-ly4xo to each their own. I had mine since launch and still use it. Just feels like you played the wrong games on it
New sack!! Looking forward to this one!! You’re the best Joe!
One of the two games I let people play at first when they try PSVR is also Until Dawn, but also the shark part from VR Worlds.
Skyrim vr for me was a life changing experience at how I look at games. Played skyrim vr more than 200 hours with the move controllers.
That's one I have on my to do list. Its such a big game I'm a little worried playing a VR game for that long will give me some sort of VR fatigue.
Holy sh!t, you are awesome brah!
Astrobot is one of the best platformers I've ever played. Up there with the best of Mario
Been watching for years and just when I think the episode won't be that good, it's always great
Man I freakin love this Show. Your humour is so damn on point. Much love
You really under sold Astrobot. That game is AMAZINGLY AWESOME INSANE FUN!!!!
GRAPHICS, MUSIC, SCALE. The feeling of controlling a little guy running around you. TRULY NEXT GAMING.
He really did. Nintendo fans don't know what they're missing.
I played it and had to get other people to play it and they said the same thing. This is as good as platforming gets. It is perfect.
You played Pixel Ripped wrong. You’re supposed to spit ball at items around the room to break them. This then distracts the teacher for a long time
LOL, who would shoot spit balls at a teacher to distract her from what you're doing?
Wipeout in VR was LEGIT!
I felt like I was part of the Anti Gravity Racing League for sure!
GO FEISAR!!
Joe.
Great timing on this---just started my VR journey recently and I like it!
I played Tetris Effect for like 5 hours straight in VR. It’s basically Rez Tetris. One of the top PSVR games alongside Rush of Blood and Astro Bot
Thank for this video! Always informative with an unbiased and truthful opinion. I’m now sold on PSVR and ordered one.
The aim controller is amazing, I wish pcvr could use it.
Farpoint
Alvo
Firewall
Doom VFR
Crisis VRigade 1&2
Arizona Sunshine
After the Fall
Solaris
Sniper Elite VR
Etc. Etc…..there are a bunch of games now that support the AIM controller
24:00 For me Wipeout is the best VR game. I spent hours playing non-stop.
I think I have over 60 hours in the game on VR alone.
Joe Redifer… you’re my hero!

Appreciate the "oh well" attitude when a game is bad instead of freaking out.

Star Wars Battlefront X-Wing VR mission blew me away.. the AT-AT walking past you on the title screen was amazing. The mission is short but so good… Squadrons in VR is the full game.. recommended :)
My favorite spooky psvr game is Here They Lie.
Absolute hidden gem. Like being in a David Lynch movie.
Here They Lie was FANTASTIC! I love the atmosphere in that game!
The video says that PSVR was released in October 2013, but it wasn’t released until October 2016. I thought I was going crazy for a moment there…great show, as always, man.
What is the retro music track used in the intro of this video? It sounds so familiar but I cannot remember where I have heard it.
Blood & Truth absolutely blew me away and i loved every minute of it from start to finish. An absolute must play for anyone with a PSVR
It's updated for ps5 too.
Super Hot is the freaking bomb
If I were any further away I'd be outside of the room. Also how do you know how close I am?
You've got to ease yourself into VR, also make sure that the game runs over 80fps.
Superhot would be a good starter VR title, also pistol whip or Beat Saber.
I play Moss on my Oculus Quest 2 all the time, such a beautiful game.
GAME SACK IS THE BEST CHANNEL ON RUclips
I just got mine 2 weeks ago. Haven't had the time to play it though...
Its 4 am in Argentina right now. Can’t sleep so thanks
3pm for me
10:13
You can.... If you own the version on Steam or are willing to deal with the process of getting them running on the Quest 2.
We need a PSVR2 edition. :)
Released October 13 2016, and not OCT 2013. would make the release prior to the initial release of the PS4 in the U.S.A
Great video with a nice variety of games.
Another benefit of the PSVR is that you can use the headset to watch 3D blu-ray movies also.
Yeah but the 3d scale is dumbed down compared to real 3d tvs
Hey Joe! Great video as always! I would definitely recommend playing Thumper on VR, if you haven't already. It's incredible!
I love the psvr. A game I’d recommend trying out is I Expect You To Die. Great game if you like puzzles and James Bond.
Keep up the great work!
My favorite car game by far. The best vr game of all time.
This is big. Hope the chat likes it
I believe Star Wars Squadrons has VR support. There was a VR mission with the 2015 Battlefront game that was a PSVR exclusive. If you ever wanted to fight the Empire for real, those are the games for you. Elite Dangerous might be supported as well.
I second killing the "blowing in the cartridge" trope
Didn’t you get to play Superhot VR? For me it’s one of the best VR experiences out there (we also call it ‘The John Wick Simulator’)
Star Wars Squadrons is a great game even without VR, it should be amazing with it. Sadly for me, Xbox doesn't do VR.
I can’t play it any other way than VR. I haven’t even bothered to play the regular way yet
Rez HD was my first experience with VR and made me fall in love with it. Main reason why I ended up buying a PSVR.
This show has changed alot over the years but for the better but I love you never phased out the corny funny endings😝🤘
Loving the modern gaming vids
Welcome back Gamesack
PlayStation VR may go down as the only Virtual Reality system do play some games off physical media. Definitely a must-buy!
Yes I never thought about an episode like this. Good thinking I love my psvr
Did you know that the brick breaker game from the PS Worlds VR originates from a game called Proton Pulse? The creator of Proton Pulse worked at Sony at the time and his title made the rounds inside sony before he left and went indie.
Right when I’m debating jumping out the window on another lonely Saturday game sack be like calm your ass down
Two PlayStation VR recommendations are Star Wars Squadrons. and Star Trek Bridge Crew.
