- Most learner drivers have heard MSM otherwise called Mirror, Signal, Manoeuvre but have many have heard of MSPSGL which stands for Mirrors, signal, position, speed, gears, and look. This technique is important for passing the UK driving test. Many learner drivers fail their driving test and it is often due to one or more of these things.
For example, some learner drivers come back from their driving test and complain that they failed their practical driving test for not checking the mirror when they did check them. This is usually because they did not follow the routine. This video explains the routine required in order to pass the driving test in the UK as well as drive safely afterward.
It is a great tool for anyone attending a driving test at any Driving Test in the UK. It covers extra things that a learner can do to impress a driving examiner.
Driving Test UK can arrange an emergency last-minute driving instructor with our "Driving Test Car Hire London" service.
We cover all driving test centers in and around London including Ashford, Barking, Borehamwood, Barnet, Chertsey, Croydon, Chingford, Erith, Farnborough, Guildford, Greenford, Uxbridge, Slough, Yeading ...This is just to name a few!

Hello Nas 🖐YOu're most welcome
Thank you very much sir
You're welcome.
Very helpful
Thank you
Its very detailed information
Hello Nas. Welcome to the channel
I always teach pupils to check their Mirrors (plural). If you look at the video, you describe both mirrors in the routine, but thereafter in the singular. Mirror signal etc... it very easy as a pupil to then unconsciously check one. Clarity is key here.
Hello Steve. Thank you for the correction. Mirrors, not mirror. 👏👏👏
You are the best
Thanks 👍
Got mine this time next week 🤞🏽
Great. Good luck. Let me know how you get on
@@dtc_uk Thanks, have been driving for 5 months every day so have got a good amount of road experience but now just overthinking it and maybe doing something stupid, I also struggle with checking mirrors before indication sometimes I do it at the same time is this ok?
Hi there, just wanted to ask.

Very helpful, thank you for sharing ❤, just can’t find the coasting driving video you mentioned, do you have a link please? I would love to watch it too. Thanks again 🙏❤️
Hello Miria, Thank you for your comment. The coasting video was never made. I am so sorry about that. However, It 100% will be made within the next 2 weeks (especially for you) 🙏
@@dtc_uk ohh dear! I really appreciate your reply ♥️🙏, I ended up watching loads of other vídeos to find out what was coasting because that word I have never knew before 😁, and I ended up finding out that I was doing it while I was driving🥲, thank you to your Chanel I got to know about it.
Love your Chanel I have been learning so much from it, God bless you and make your business thrive always 🙏.
Miriã
Thank you so much for this video I'm already booked the driving test at 22 of June but I don't know if Is still possible to pass at this day when I see the situation.
Hello. Are you a key worker? 🤔
@@dtc_uk Not at the moment
You test is on the border line. I'm sorry I don't know if it will be cancelled or not. I will keep you updated. Stsy Safe 👍
@@dtc_uk ok thank you
Hi Shak,
An overall informative video. A signal at the same time as the mirror check could be a fault, but may well not be a marked fault on test depending on the situation.
Also I am not overly keen on acronyms such as MSPSGL (as in your video), as I find they can confuse some learners, especially those with dyslexia as they are thinking too much of the acronym, rather then carrying out the task in hand safely. I tend to use Look Tell Do which is more simple.
Good Morning Harry. Hoping you're well. Thank you for your valued comments. Yes, MSPSGL can be too much for some. As ADIs, we must always be prepared to change our teaching methods to suit individual including those with learning difficulties. I am one of many that suffer
from dyslexia. I mentioned that in the video, "Driving instructor at the bar"
Stay Safe 😀
are u doing mock driving test? anyway thanks for sharing stuff ive always watching you.
Hello Resy. Hoping you're well. At the moment only key workers can have lessons. All others will need to wait till 4th July. And yes, we do mock tests. 👍
@@dtc_uk ok will contact u before my driving practical test on july. can u send contact..many thanks
Hi , i watch all you’re video thanks I have my drive test this friday I know help me youre video.
Thanks for video, but how do u no driving tests are back 4th july thank you
Because the government said stage three business can start from 4th july. Driving instructors are stage 3 business as we can not keep social distance
My test is July 13
Hi dear sir
M. Sajid hare
Actually I want to know about my passed theory certificate what will happen if time goes with lock down
Have they extend this time that is going free with lock down..
As you know I have left 1 and half years to finish my Theory certificate
Please let me know any information from DVLA
Regards
M. Sajid many Thanks
Thanks for commenting. Inshallah you will pass quickly
All this stuff doesn't matter as during the test the nerves will throw all routines out of the window and we'll make idiotic mistakes. I've been doing tests 3 times over half a year the results only become worse and I make more serious mistakes. I don't fail for not checking mirrors I fail for blasting onto a roundabout in 4th gear, which I will never do during a lesson when relaxed and slowing down on time.
Practical makes perfect
Hi I want book for learning please and how mach one payment
