Even my driving instructor have not thought me road marking after 13 lessons...they just dont want you to learn fast so u can keep paying ...thank you for this video God bless you 👏🙏
I swear there not there to teach you that? i think you learn all that in the high way code. you should learn all that before you do your theory and before your lessons. i mean it will save you time and money then the instructors telling you all the ins and outs of the road markings and what every sign means.
@DemoManProductionz Hi 👋 thanks for you valuable comments. Many people struggle with road marking and some just need a small refresher video. I hope you enjoyed it. Looking forward to reading more of your comments
He is a great instructor. I like the way he classified the markings, some people just go on to explaining randomly which is hard for the brain to learn. I learned from him so quickly. A great teaching skill
Thank you! i am a 17 year old just learning the rules and i was confused about a lot of these road markings, you explained them perfectly in detail and a calm, easily understandable manner. Great lesson!
Thank you so much for going on this ride and explaining everything! As a European I had no idea what some of these meant and now that I've found I finally got peace. Thank you!
I would like to thank you for this video! As a woman with autism I have had some challenges with processing so much information. Your video has helped me substantially and made it so easy for me to understand. I now fully understand and feel so much more confident with road markings. Thank you again for your incredible video!
Even though after my long years of driving I knew the signs, it's reassuring to go through them with someone confirming their meaning . Excellent video.
Gosh, what a perfectly explained video. I wish you were my driving teacher! So calm and informative. I really struggled to remember some road markings in apps and books but this explanation was done very thoughtfully and clearly. Thank you, I can’t wait to watch more videos from this channel. 👍🏾☺️
The best driving lesson video I ever saw. All my doubts cleared. Most instructors ended up confusing me more but you are soo amazing. Explained perfectly. Thank you
Thank you for your clear and simple explanation and I now know and understood what are they for because my instructor never explains them. Thank you boss man.
Thank you for updating me to the changes in driving lines, I am going to save this and go over it again before I travel to the UK. Its been years, But I am sure it will come back to me . With your video I am now well informed. Great Job
I never remember roads irrespective of going through same routes over and over again. I rely on markings and this video was a blessing sir. Thankyou 🙏🏽
I don't know why there are any thumbs down on this video. Useful info in aid of helping learners pass their tests. I thank him for doing these as it will be very helpful for me to pass once I learn everything needed before a driving lesson.
Excellent video! As a US driver about to rent a car for several months in the UK, I’ve been scouring all videos on driving tips. This is the only one I could find that thoroughly identified the signs/markings and explained the correct procedure to follow. This is by far the most useful video I’ve watched on the subject, and I’ve watched them all. Thank you!
Wow I've been in the UK for four years now and I'm finally finding a video to explain the street signs and the markings on the street even like where to park where not to park I have been paying attention to other cars and just getting a idea of what to do and not to do I'm only a minute in and I'm going to study this video.
English is not my first language but your explanations were very clear. I could perfectly understand everything! Thank you! I am looking forward to news video.
Amazing, very well explained with practical video. Highly recommended to watch it. Made it clear and the way you explained calmly and precisely. Great video. Please keep making more
I am learning to drive and was confused with road markings. You have explained them in the most simplest manner and I am completely clear now. Rally appreciate
Thank you so much. I'm Australian and intending to hire a vehicle on my next UK visit. I've driven there once before and I wasn't prepared and it wasn't fun! While our road signs are very similar, the road line markings are quite different. I now understand what they all mean so I'm feeling much better about it. Much appreciated.
Lovely video mate. I find having things explained contextually helps loads so watching you explain while driving was miles better than simply reading about them.
It’s amazing what little things you pick up that you never knew even after years of driving. Like a double broken line meaning give way to left and right and a single broken meaning only give way to right. I guess those things are automatic anyway but it’s good to put a meaning to them. It’s never too late to learn something, which is why I enjoyed watching this even after forty plus years of driving. Thank you.
Hello Linda 🖐Thank you for the positive feedback. You are 100% correct. " It’s never too late to learn something." In fact the day that we stop learn, we are finished!
I’ve been driving for 21 years and I am now setting my C1 ambulance test. I failed the first try because I got in trouble for speeding (ironic) and not properly entering a yellow box junction when waiting to turn right. This was very helpful and I’m hopeful that I’ll pass next time!
Really appreciate the effort you put forth to explain everything in such an understanding manner. Made my knowledge on road markings to an excellent level. Thank you
Absolutely incredible! It was very clear cut, easy to understand and very calming. It never feels like I'm overwhelmed with info, each point has just enough time to settle.
grew up in Langley and have not been back in several years but instantly got such a strange strong sense of deja vu and nostalgia from that road with the dominos!
That was soooo helpful. You showed every type of road marking possible with demonstrations. To be honest I didn't know what the yellow and the double yellow line meant and I'm glad you covered them too.
Thanks a lot Mr Shak your explanation was absolutely fantastic and great information told clearly and easily understandable. Thanks for your valuable time.
From the States so I found this very interesting, particularly that you use white lines to separate traffic going opposite directions. Here in the States the color of the line tells you the direction of the traffic on the other side of the line. If the line is white then the traffic on the other side of the line is going the same direction as you. If it's yellow then it's going the opposite way as you. Therefore we can have multiple lanes in each direction and the lanes going the same direction will be white lines whereas the lines in the middle separating the the opposing lanes of traffic will be yellow. A "turn lane", which seems to be your chevrons will be bounded by two yellow lines on each side - the outermost being a solid yellow line and the innermost being a dashed yellow line. If you used yellow to demarcate lanes who's direction is opposite than yours then I think I'd like your markings better because you have markings we don't such as the give way to both directions, give way to same direction only, the clear boxes, and so forth. We don't have any of that.
Wow... this video is super informative. It answered all my questions. Clarity of information is exceptional. This is amazingly helpful. THANK YOU...!!!
Thank you for this vid I’m currently a new driver and just got my license and I agree the instructor mentioned nothing to me of road markings. No one did . I was yelled at for runnin over road markings I shouldnt have so thank god for this ‼️‼️
Amazing video, believe me no one teaches you all these, my teacher didnt teach me these lines , even after taking 15lectures. Now after watching this video , i know about the lines.
Excellent video, clearly explained. Just one point I noticed, in case of confusion, @ 6:29 you mention you must not enter hatch markings with a solid boundary, in most circumstances this is true but if you are turning right to enter a driveway (for example), overtaking road users travelling less than 10MPH or need to enter the area in an emergency - you may enter the protected area.
Something interesting about the hatching, the direction of the hatch forms an invisible arrow pointing forwards in the centre of the lane, so if you imagine the lines extended into the carriage way and the resulting arrow doesn't point forwards, _you're on the wrong side of the road even if it's not obvious to someone._ That's why counter-intuitively the chevrons between a slip road and the main carriageway/motorway point backwards. Also, the stop sign are supposed to have a thicker stop line than traffic signals do.
Hello jayzo_sayers, Thank you for your interesting comment which has been noted. I look forward to seeing more of your comments. Stay Blessed, Stay Safe.👍
Thank you for this. This was one of the most informative videos I've seen in ages. Would you please consider doing a similar video explaining how to turn right at crossroads with traffic lights? I'm quite nervous about positioning and who has to give way

Hi. Thanks for your positive feedback
This video is so informative and well explained. Thank you for taking the time to record this for us
I am going to live in the UK for a year and half. I know driving, but it's so helpful to know signages in the country where I am going to drive.

Specifically think the short and long dividing lines are extremely useful and clear.
You are a great teacher• excellent explanation skill

Perfectly explained. You are a good teacher.
I appreciate that!
Great video - I have a question you may be able to help with about the solid white line bus lane marking, can that be crossed whilst the bus lane is not in operation? Seems to be a lot of confusion surrounding that one and I can't find a definitive answer either way
Glad to know that I know all of them and more, because I read the highway code and test book page to page.
But a good refresher.
Good work :)
Hello Prabitra 👋 Thanks for the positive feedback. It's always good to refresh our knowledge
