Yeah I've been bald headed for a long time I went out on the lake in August never been sunburned from fishing but I did that day I come home and took a shower went to bed and when I woke up oh my God
The older you get the more your oil runs out
It’s a good day when fishaholic post 😎
Your kayak skills getting that Goliath up were very impressive! Nice job getting that grouper!
wow awesome mangrove in between those boats 👍great meal🎣
Gets some Columbia pants they also have sleeves that detach turns them into shorts with that water resistant material like swim shorts. hope that helps !!
Man I'm just sittin here eating a roast beef sammy and watching FishAholic. I am very content with life right now. Your Florida Keys videos are always my favorite.
I remember all the times fishing in key west. Whatever that bridge is on eagle Ave where that canal runs through the island is LOADED with mangrove snappers 12+ inches and they're schooling in the hundreds last time I was there. Key west is just different lmao. So many fish.
Awesome 🤙🏻. They were really tasty! It was good I kept some because it hit the spot when I got home really late and was starving haha.
Another beautiful day for fishing and enjoying God's beautiful nature
Never misses good vid
You should turn your giveaways into fishing trips with local fans👀
Awesome Video today, the Goliath was awesome!! Thanks
Nice video rich!!
Thanks so much!
Love watching these when I get some down time in college!
Love your Florida keys episodes
Rich, great day of fishing. The snappers can not resist the greenies.
That was pro fishing there! You stayed calm and focused especially with the gear you were using. Impressive. Well done Rich!
Hahaha thanks Tom!! Tight Lines!
Broad brimmed hat Rich! Dermatologists ain't cheap. Check out the Tilley hat.
Have you ever tried the SPF 50 leggings/leg sleeves?
Always grab fish behind the upper neck area as close to the head as possible to control the head so you don't get bit !!!!
Always no matter how big
Exactly just bellow the head you have to control the head
100% he's grabbing that shark far too low on any fish particularly with teeth grab it high control the head, a bigger shark lean on its head
Awesome Rich!
Mangroves have a underrated fight. And easily one of the best tasting fish in the ocean. Great video you always grind out your days
Anetik makes long socks that are spf50 designed for kayak fishing they are like $40 and work great
Nice grouper!
what a save and catch. Awesome control of fish and yak.
Rich if it gets windy over on the west side out by Fort Desoto there are a few creeks and Boca Ciega Bay and I have done good on Snook Flounder and Reds in there when it howling on the big water
Hey Dave thanks. I actually ended up fishing a couple days in Fort Desoto. Found fish but didn't catch much inshore until I went out in the Bay on and got on a great bite of Tripletail and a decent grouper. I'll be out there soon though. Working hard to edit the videos.
@@FishAholicTV right on man!! I am from Jensen but have spent a bunch of time over there Yak fishing and have had great luck with the Snook (not like our sizes) and Reds with some dandy flounders but Tripletail and Groupers??? Awesome!!! I have caught some juvenile Jewfish in that creek behind the fort that empties into Boca Ciega and in the winter have found some epic Trout fishing in the bay. That Riptide or whatever shrimp you like in white with chartreuse tail is for some reason the absolute juice over there. The water around Shell Key a short paddle off Pass A Grille is killer man!!! Big Mangroves and Pompano. Catch em up brother
DAMMMMMNNN RICH !!!! That was a rad fight on your first Goliath grouper!!! Love your videos bud.
Nice grouper
Great video. Love to see when someone catches a grouper. Love that fish.
Good job son good fishing good luck 👍
Already know its gonna be a great video !!!
Always a good fishin trip with ya n that was a Beautiful juvenile Goliath!!!
Grouper is beautiful!
Rich, I feel like I live vicariously through your show. Watched you for a number of years now but never commented. You always work hard to find your fish. Your passion for the sports is genuine. Loved the Goliath grouper! I lived in Florida for a couple years and loved it. Now I am in CA but I would love to move back to Florida one day when kids are in out of college and buy a house there. Keep them coming. Your one of my favorite RUclipsr! Love your videos!
I bought some R.O.W. pants a while back and they have been very comfortable while fishing all hours of the day. They are a mixed material made of mostly spandex and they have a elastic waistband with a drawstring. Super comfortable and even the black pair that I have are very cool during that midday heat. Highly recommend.
You sure put in the work. You earn all the fish you catch.
Suhweet! 😉♥
Great video Rich. I’m headed to Marathon in a couple of weeks. Can’t wait to get out on the yak and play with a few !
Rich, get some zip off pants at Bass Pro or some outdoors shop. That’s what I use. Light weight and dry quick and turn in to shorts. Nice grouper!!!
Hey,Rich, I was out on my SUP riding waves near the FP Jetty, and got into a huge school of Mullet and there were Tarpon the size of you and me!
Keep them coming !
Big reds are starting to come in over here on the west coast! This is the time to get on em.
Awesome video Rich!! That grouper was nice !! But what got me was how you where controlling your kayak you can see all your experience in this video awesome job Rich!! looking forward for the next one!! Stay blessed
Great day Rich.. as usual you put it all out there for our entertainment and we loved it.. thanks
Thanks so much Vinny really glad you enjoyed!!
Great job on the Goliath man! Such a cool catch and a good job in the battle. That’s why kayak fishing is so fun
Great Video As Always Rich..Love The Keys,, An Absolute Fisherman's Paradise..I Truly Hope That You Surprise Us & Stay For A Third Day..That Would Be Awesome. 🌴🐡🐙🦈🐟🐠🌴
Another fantastic video Rich!! Looking forward to your West Coast of Florida video's!!
Bassdash makes nice and affordable lightweight/water resistant pants. Shirts as well.
Awesome Grouper!
Just a suggestion but you’re supposed to put sunscreen on prior to being on the water. You can reapply as needed. Seems to work better for me. Cheers brother!🍻🤙. And Great catch on the Goliath!
Great video glad you posted keep them coming thanks
Rich get the underarmour heat man leggings. I use them when I ref soccer in the summer and early spring and late fall. Also in CT that sun gets hot and I use those as well. Helps a lot with the sun
lots of good fish in tampa! good luck!
Love your videos
Thanks again for the great video. nice grouper on light tackle 👏. God Bless and stay safe 🙏
Grouper was awesome
Can't wait to get another. Tight Lines Gerard.
Love your videos. New to the channel, glad I found you! I'll be moving to Florida this fall and have lived in the PNW my whole life so the fishing is very different. Loving what I'm seeing!
Great video. Not sure why but I've only ever caught Cuda and sharks on the flats in the middle keys.
Hi Rich, if you get a chance, fish Ding Darling in Sanibel. Great vid as usual.
Dude just landed a 32" goliath in the pilings on 10# braid! 😎
I live in Saint Pete, near Tampa. If you’re coming this way, holler if you want someone to fish with. I also fish from Hobie
I'm a big fan of you+👍🔔
Glad to hear! thanks so much for watching!!
Awesome !!!!
Holy cow... Sweet grouper.
Great you are going to west side!! I have fished siesta key and the parks under the bridges.
Yeah I just got finished with that fishing mission and it was pretty cool definitely have to go back. Working hard now to edit the videos!
@@FishAholicTV I am more familiar with the Sarasota and SK specifically. I was stationed in Tampa but did little fishing then. It will be interesting to see what locations you fish.
That was a fantastic job fighting the G Grouper. I would bet 99 out off 100 lose that fish when in a kayak with those conditions. Excellent job!
Thanks John! I definitely had a little luck and it seems it didn't have much to wrap me around. Next time I'll try with heavier tackle hahaha
@@FishAholicTV I have them off a dock where I stay often, and they will not hit when I use heavier tackle. They are fighting off the Snappers to get to the bait, and if they hesitate because they see or sence that heavier braid then you catch a 10" M snapper instead. Great battle and you having to control a kayak forward, reverse side to side all while fighting a fish in strong current and wind was crazy.
Great video😁
Rich, I’m salivating over your snapper catch. Fantastic bite and the grouper too! Amazing catch, dude!
Well, you certainly weren't expecting that! How old was that Goliath, you think? I'm sure it's lived its entire life under that boat/dock area. What a catch!
Wow what an awesome fishing video. Definitely one of your bests! That grouper was an awesome catch dude. How much did it weigh?? Can’t wIt till the next video. I am. Huge fan of the channel!
Great video Rich.
Thanks so much! I hope you are catching!
Good morning Rich!!!!! Really Enjoy your videos and look forward to them everytime you post!!!!
On yesterday's video you spoke about the sunburn in you legs and I wanted to comment on that!!! I have a few pairs of the Columbia long leg pants that the lower section are attached by a zipper. These are made of the very light fast drying material and are great for Kayaking/fishing!!!! I buy them at Bealls!!! Check them out!!!! Good luck and tight lines!!!
CHYEAH BUDDY NICE 🎣🎣🎣
First viewer yes:)
Thanks Raptor JJ! Tight Lines!
Great vídeos and great Chanel. Subscrived. Regards from Portugal
Almost first…about to watch this banger vid Rich
Thanks so much for tunin in!!
Another awesome video rich! That grouper was sick! We have a ton of good little ship spots for snapper down here by us in Fort Myers/Estero area - would love to have you down at some point to collab and show you our area! Tight lines man 🤙🏼🎣
Another great vid rich, when will the lime green rod b out??
That grouper was amazing. How much did you think it weighed?
Hmm maybe 15 or 20lbs max. No matter the size they are strong fish haha. Hopefully I'll get on some gag grouper or black grouper next time so I can keep one for the table.
nice fight brother!!!!
Thanks Nathan!!
Nice video
Yo man lets go fishing for some Grouper
enjoyed...thx
Glad to hear thanks for watching!
Good dinner buddy 👍👍👍...
Oh yeah it was so good!
I live close to the keys and I’m trying to find pilchards with my kayak. Learning to cast net my own bait bc of prices. What do you look for to find pilchards (greenies) where you're fishing?
Great video, what's your favorite area in Florida to fish if you had to pick one.
Hey Rich what was your live well setup you used in this video? Very interested as I have a kayak as well. Thanks!
Congrats on your goliath
Nice limit off mangroves and goliath. That sord knife seems to be holding up pretty good. Great video
Reel legends sells some really nice zip off at the knee if needed, pants that are really nice and light and affordable..
Man you dont need to throw a cast net for pinfish and grunts. Tiny hook, 10lb leader, tiny piece of shrimp with no shell. Around the ends of bridges there are always clouds of grunts in the shallows.
Yeah I know but thanks for the tip. I was unprepared.
14:44 Like!
Hey rich do you think a Calcutta 400b would be good for like redfish
Yeah I don't see why not. Probably best for chunking or live bait
*Was that a hammerhead shark?!* Man fishing the ocean would be sweet!!! Just bought my first spinning reel setup. Shimano Nasci 2500 something on a cheap blue Shimano med/fast rod. Nice setup for my first real fishing reel… haven’t fished since I was a kid using the push button casting reels
Edit: Also as a beginner fisherman what kind of gloves are those? I’m looking for gloves to help me from getting my palm’s cut as I don’t have experience handling fish out of water. I’m fishing in Western New York so freshwater only. But if I catch a pike or something I don’t want to get sliced and also don’t want to ruin the fish membrane. I bought a pair that look like yours but they’re fingerless but more for the sun protection. Yours looked cut resistant
Great video. Do you plan to go out for a goliath grouper kayak session at one of those big bridges with some heavier setup? Would be awesome!! I think a lot of people would love to see that. I mean sure, you cant catch one of a few hundret pounds with the kayak, but maybe still a quite big one! Greetings from europe
Hey Rich, awesome catch! When you are free lining live bait, do you add a small split shot or other kind of weight?
I did add a little split shot above my bait here so it would get down to the bottom or near the bottom while it drifted
@@FishAholicTV Thanks man! gonna try that inshore fishing at Topsail. Tight lines 🤟
I've been watching your videos for months and always wondered why you don't wear pants for sun protection haha
I really like your Kayak - what model is that? Tricked out what is the cost?
I was there during summer
Surprised no one said anything to you being so close to the boats.
New to kayaking but how do you find your starter location? Do you remember or do you use some sort of gadget? Or app
