Just love your content. You work hard to catch fish probably most days of the week, but you still get so excited and happy when you land something special. Thanks for another awesome vid.
Rich it's pretty impressive how quickly you have figured your tide data out. Usually takes years but you are paying attention. Take that xrap and sand the Crack with some 120 grit and run a thin bead of Gorilla Glue and it's fixed for good. GREAT VIDEO
Great video lots of action out there I love those rapala's I had one of the same colors of the one you found it was a surface or shallow water they call them now and man did I catch allot of fish with that, it also had the scars to show it
Thanks! Sorry to hear your area isn’t as fishy. This is a very productive spot. Some spots although the look good just don’t attract as many fish as you would think.
That looks like a yummy gag grouper. Thanks for the pants suggestion also. I was excited about that trout, then sad it was not in season. I love trout on the grill, reminds me of fishing with my dad in up state New York. He'd grill them and I'd eat them!
It was tasty! Glad you enjoyed Kelly! Yeah I’ll be honest I wanted to keep just the one trout because it would have been a perfect amount to eat in one day. The gag I ate for dinner for two nights and then I also vacuum sealed some. Hopefully it will still tasty great when I thaw and eat! Anyway thanks for watching and tight lines!
Haha thanks Eduardo! I’ll have to go back to try and catch a slam because the potential is there. I also even saw a flounder and I’ve caught them there before.
We get em 24 to 28 gags behind people's homes in Tampa. I've caught hundreds of keepers. Big mango as well ( pb 22 inches ) mango snappers on live 9 inch finger mullet or medium/ large pins. Lots of fun pulling them out from under docks!
Have you reinforce your scupper holes? I know Hobbie has been said you could use scupper hole kayak carts but I've seen more and more reports of them cracking. Thanks for the vid
I love watching your videos and I kayak fish a lot aswellk. I started throwing a suspending jerk bait for trout and redfish and they have been crushing it lately but the treble hooks sometimes cause unnecessary damage to the mouths and surrounding areas of the fish. Have you ever tried replacing treble hooks with j-hooks? If so what has your experience been with them? Have they decreased the hookup ratio or caused you to lose more fish?
Probably my sony a6000 down in the keys haha. When I was a kid and stupid I did take my dads 60lb boga and VS 150 in the kayak and got flipped by the waves in ocean surf. Everything got thrown from the kayak but luckily a swimmer nearby found the reel. Because I was panicking I would of had to pay my dad back. The reel was fine and I recovered everything but the Boga grip. Good lesson for me as a kid.
Why do you play some of these fish light with a 30lb leader? I've watched a lot of other fisherman hooking up with 35-40in reds and they're going hard on them with the a 30lb leader as well and no break offs at all. I think you can be a little more aggressive with a lot of these fish so they don't run you into structure. Love your content regardless.
I know you're an experienced fisherman with uncountable catches, but if I can offer a little advice, don't rip your rod to the side when you have a fish on. Pull straight back with your tip to the sky. If you go back through the videos of big ones getting away, you'll notice it's when you rip to the side. Your hooks will set much better and more consistently if you pull the tip to the sky. Tight lines!🤙
Another awesome video Rich - THANK YOU! Did you ever try using SP Minnows or Yo-Zuri Hydro Minnows in FL? Seems the X-Rap is very popular but I don’t see why the other two wouldn’t work…
You launched from my favorite spot today. Right on! The water just cleared up there very recently, took a long time after Ian churned everything up. I fished there last Tues and had the same results you did, I could see lots of snook, but couldn't get one to eat. The redfish were fired up though, as well as the jacks.
I used to live in Jensen. Worked at the Ale House from 89-94...then went to Key Largo...great fishing there. Now I'm back up north,my hometown, Sandy Pond,NY on Lake Ontario...where the Kings are running in the Salmon River!!! I think he said Sebastian...( did lots of clamming there...)
When you deal with a trout keep em in the water and wet your hands before handling them. There’s no point in measuring all you do is remove the coat and increase the fish’s risk for disease.
Catching a keeper grouper inshore anywhere other than the Keys is so ridiculously rare. Id be absolutely pumped
Becoming very difficult even in the Keys
Just love your content. You work hard to catch fish probably most days of the week, but you still get so excited and happy when you land something special. Thanks for another awesome vid.
Glad to hear Pigs and Apples!! Thanks so much for watching!
Very nice grouper! Definitely a keeper.
Every day is a fishing day but not always a catching day.
You never catch and cook anymore!! I liked watching yours!! Godspeed brotther
Best pants for kayak fishing-Tan scrub pants, cheap, durable, last for years, dry quickly, I been using them for years

This wasn't filmed today! Nicole had everything messed up! Great video none the less.

Nice catches! I wish my area could have that many fish in there. 😀
Thanks! Sorry to hear your area isn’t as fishy. This is a very productive spot. Some spots although the look good just don’t attract as many fish as you would think.

Dang Rich , I was rooting for you to catch that Grand Slam . But the Gag Grouper is a wonderful prize . Thats a great day on the water
Haha thanks Eduardo! I’ll have to go back to try and catch a slam because the potential is there. I also even saw a flounder and I’ve caught them there before.
@@FishAholicTV That Sand Bar Shark in my pic was caught on your DarkMatter Fishaholic Surf rod . Paired it with a 20k Daiwa BG MQ .

Just in time for the hurricane

Nice inshore gag!

Fabletics for the fishing pants
I'm shocked! Haven't seen anyone catch a gag grouper that size in the mangroves before.
Blackened grouper sandos for days!
Have you reinforce your scupper holes? I know Hobbie has been said you could use scupper hole kayak carts but I've seen more and more reports of them cracking. Thanks for the vid
We need this rod to come out already!!! :(
Rich have you ever done any Texas costal fishing? I bagged a 31 inch flounder in Galveston east bay.
Man what a day! Awesome catching that gag
Looks like there was a bunch of lures in the same spot you got the one. Did you salvage those as well or was I seeing things?

Rich are you in the Sebastian River? It looks really familiar.
Nice
where did you buy that kayak and nice video
Rich what is the most expensive thing you have ever lost in the water?
I think the camera he dropped awhile back snook fishing in the mangroves
Probably a girlfriend 😂

Looking through your gear used. I didn't see your kayak.
Please share

Thank God you kept that Grouper! If you let that one go I would have seriously been disappointed. Nice catch brother.
Red Town
Some good hunting there Rich! I'm still trying to catch a grouper that size. Enjoy the dinner😁
Nice grouper buddy 👍👍👍. What app do you use to tell you fish info?
Ha Ha, great!
🔥🔥
Where is that island? I will be in the sebastian area soon
so you did not see the other lures under that rapala bro to the left of where you saw. That one. Was a. Yellow n green one ?
That's a leaf
possibly put epoxy or super glue on the cracked lure to waterproof it?
Which Hobie ya got?
Congrats on that Grouper..
I’m wondering how you unhook sharks. I saw you put your hands on the snout of a bull shark and unhook it. 😝 Is that the only way?
You eat jacks in Florida?

Always a sweet surprise when you get an Inshore Grouper! Nice work, Dude.
Rule of fishing #1... If you dont go, you never know!!!
Another awesome video Rich - THANK YOU!
Did you ever try using SP Minnows or Yo-Zuri Hydro Minnows in FL? Seems the X-Rap is very popular but I don’t see why the other two wouldn’t work…
Hi
Grouper made a fatal mistake.
🙌 класс

Where was this? I’ve been dying to catch a red fish and lately I’ve seen a few people catch some! I’m over in the Jensen area
