Agreed, I'm a musician as well and I love funk / soul. In the UK my pleasure is going to clubs like Ronnie Scotts and the Jazz Cafe, some of the best clubs in the world, to watch the likes of Deodato, Dr Lonnie Smith, Billy Cobham, The Blackbyrds, Jocelyn Brown and others. I would book to go and see this lot if they were here, no doubt, they are brilliant.

You can be very proud of this lot, they are indeed world class - as an English cricket fan it's not always easy to admit the Aussies are good... but yeah, this lot definitely are.
Nailed it. HSCC is in the right place at the right time and are riding the lightning. This is their time to shine on the world stage. With 1000s of new subs every week they obviously got something right! People are sick of the garbage currently on the radio passing for so-called "pop music" when it is nothing more than kids who can't sing auto-tuning to canned electro tunes because they can't play musical instruments either. HSCC is that breath of fresh air into the current music stagnation with their unique performances of old classics which are just on another level of talent altogether. I'm looking forward to when things settle down and they can get their tour schedule in north America sorted! Starting in Vegas will get things rolling out of the gate with a bang!
All 3 ladies are mega talented singers. Pina is not only a good singer, she's a fantastic dancer & a great performer. She has a not so hidden talent of bringing a song to life. Great job, everyone!!!

This is a great rendition of a disco era classic...the ladies bring so much energy and enthusiasm to the song with each having a distinctly unique voice...and the dancing simply adds to the song's appeal with Pina's never dull, animated and in-sync movements and gestures elevating the song even more so...they are truly having fun performing while passing the baton effortlessly...
Love this band! Dave Ross is an excellent keyboardplayer. He doesn’t need the newest synth for the sounds. He gets the best sounds out of his Korg Extreme from 2004 in every song. Excellent playingstyle and programming the sounds and splits and layers. Best coverband! Cheers from The Netherlands.

Yes the Korg Triton Extreme has served me well and is a very capable synth however as you said it is over 15 years old and has done thousands of shows and it’s time for retirement. Not only is your rendition of this tune phenominal...The timing for this song is spot on. The origin of this song was and is an anthem addressing black social strife. Mc Fadden and Whitehead called on all of their brothers and sisters never to look back, but to keep going forward. Based on what is going on here in America right now your timing for this anthem couldn't be better. This song is one of many anthems I grew up with. Curtis Mayfield and the Impressions "Choice of Colors" is the first that comes to mind. In Greensboro, North Carolina, which is close to where I grew up, there were "Sit Ins" in 1960 and 61 I believe which was a non-violent stance that spun off from Ms. Rosa Parks. Protest were peaceful in the US until late 1963, everything broke down when Dr King was killed. Today things don't feel right. Everything is going to pieces at the same time. I didn't know there was a pandemic 1968 until this year. This whole thing smells bad.
What's interesting about what you wrote, in a historical context, is that the song itself, released in April, was robbed of being a bigger hit by the Disco Demolition at Comiskey Park in July of '79. Read the reasons and theories for that Demolition... This song deserves to be revered as highly in Pop Culture as We Are Family and I'm Coming Out, but it tends to be forgotten. Only those of us who were there in 1979 seem to remember it. It had the potential to be a true anthem, but its progress was stopped by the whole world embracing the one-note concept called "My Sharona".

Not only is your rendition of this tune phenominal...The timing for this song is spot on. The origin of this song was and is an anthem addressing black social strife. Mc Fadden and Whitehead called on all of their brothers and sisters never to look back, but to keep going forward. Based on what is going on here in America right now your timing for this anthem couldn't be better. This song is one of many anthems I grew up with. Curtis Mayfield and the Impressions "Choice of Colors" is the first that comes to mind. In Greensboro, North Carolina, which is close to where I grew up, there were "Sit Ins" in 1960 and 61 I believe which was a non-violent stance that spun off from Ms. Rosa Parks. Protest were peaceful in the US until late 1963, everything broke down when Dr King was killed. Today things don't feel right. Everything is going to pieces at the same time. I didn't know there was a pandemic 1968 until this year. This whole thing smells bad.
By the way, somehow we need to love one another, I believe this is the only way true change will happen.

What's interesting about what you wrote, in a historical context, is that the song itself, released in April, was robbed of being a bigger hit by the Disco Demolition at Comiskey Park in July of '79. Read the reasons and theories for that Demolition... This song deserves to be revered as highly in Pop Culture as We Are Family and I'm Coming Out, but it tends to be forgotten. Only those of us who were there in 1979 seem to remember it. It had the potential to be a true anthem, but its progress was stopped by the whole world embracing the one-note concept called "My Sharona".
