One of the many things I love about this is that Luther's arrangement stayed true to the original McFadden & Whitehead - he just put his own magic touch on it and in my opinion made it even better, and this is on of my all-time favorite classic disco singles. @@paulkasengele1159 Well this isn't actually his song originally. The original is by McFadden & Whitehead, which is a disco song from the late 70's. This is Luther Vandross' cover version done in 1995. I've heard both versions and prefer this one over the original.
Although I got in touch with the art by Luther Vandross in the early 90ties (or even earlier), I am only now in my mid 40ties discovering him, binge-watching his performances on RUclips. Besides his undisputable, fantastic singing, he seems to have been a very kind person. His crew always seems to really enjoy working and performing with him. Am I right?

He had HUGE ego. I doubt he would allow audience to stand. Audience probably told that before the show started.
Although I got in touch with the art by Luther Vandross in the early 90ties (or even earlier), I am only now in my mid 40ties discovering him, binge-watching his performances on RUclips. Besides his undisputable, fantastic singing, he seems to have been a very kind person. His crew always seems to really enjoy working and performing with him. Am I right?

I know what you mean. Seen Luther in concert twice, and on both occasions, once he made his entrance, we all got up and started dancing from start to finish! I never even got tired of dancing. One of the most memorable moments of my life. X
As much as I loved Luther’s love songs, I always get a kick out of hearing his more upbeat tracks. 😊
