I remember watching my Mom and Dad dancing to this song in our living room when I was a kid. I just adored how they just locked eyes, hand in hand and with smiles ear to ear and thinking how lucky I am to see them like that and till this day when I hear this song it takes me back to that same day. +J Eshun Good point, however a nomination is enough to say that you have gained industry "recognition".... and boy was he recognized! Every album he had received nominations... My only problem is that he was boxed in the R&B category, where as I think he transcended the genre. So whilst he was recognized, he never got the recognition he deserved.

My kids have grown up listening to Luther, and I cannot tell you just how much joy it gives me when they sing along to his songs, or just start singing a Luther tune out of the blue, I hope they will do the same for their kids, and I hope the chain continues, for this man has given me so much joy and I hope many others get the same, god bless you Luther and thanks.
my grown grand children sing Luther and TeddyP, they grew up on what I feel is the best music of all times...The Temps, Luther, TeddyP, Lionel Richie, Barry White as well as Stevie Ray and many of the Blues greats & soft jazz, music that means something, everyone can sing to, it was a time when music was REAL not the garbage they pump out now from a computer lab. It is just feel good and to know that some of the great talents have gone on leaving us a legacy of wonderful music for generations to come.

She was my childhood sweetheart.🌹My sister best friend, I was her first Love.❤️ We just came off a 4 days cruise sailing throughout Caribbeans and end the weekend in Miami dinner and brunch with a close friend and his wife Sunday.
