Not gonna lie, I used this once to remap the paddles, then never needed it again. That said, the fact that you can have three profiles for each input method is excellent. It means I'm able to have a different profile on Switch and PC, without overwriting the profiles either. Keep this feature around.
You guys made my favorite controller ever even more premium... I've never pre-ordered anything this fast.

Something you might want to fix before release: When adjusting the trigger deadzones in the video, the photo of the controller shows L2 being adjusted when the R2 bar on the right is being moved; I know the photo of the controller from that angle is a bit messed up in the PC version of the Ultimate Software, too. All you would need to do is rotate the photo 180 degrees and it would be fixed.
I downloaded the app but i can't adjust the trigger sensitivity. I downloaded the android version btw. That's weird
Hello. I updated the firmware using a PC, but when I start the app on android, it does nothing. The joystick is connected to the phone, some games work, but when I start the app, it requests access to GPS and then it does nothing. the only button that works is B and using it I can close the app. Can you please advise what steps I should take, to get some help with this?
How do you connect to the phone app for button remapping? There’s no explanation anywhere which button to press for that….??
Y'all gotta stick the M30 DPAD in this controller and you'll have a miracle controller.

App doesn't do anything. Controller connects to my phone but nothing happens from there. I just see a graphic for a controller and a phone.

@@MichaelScreamMachineEvans I had to use the app on my PC for my 8bitdo pro 2. I have a micro and the phone app works like a charm
@@guywhoplaysbass Where is it? The only PC app I saw on the windows store was the X, not for the Pro 2 controller and it didn't work for me.
To make it work on your phone you need to activate GPS, why? I don't know but it works.

@@cozycherry1790 there is an ps1 fpga project in development for MiSTer for the past couple of years, it is called psx and it turns out that it isn’t as easy to reverse engineer as an 16 (or I guess analogue is doing 24 with GBA) bit system. Who would have guessed.

Or at least a retro reciever. And while they're at it they could update the classic edition retro reciever to not recieve l and R as the same on Wii.
What if they made stuff for dolphin like a wii motion controller with a motion bar. Id be down for more Emulation support.

You have me excited 8bitdo! Heard y'all make great controllers, was about to order a SN30 PRO+ but now I am gonna wait that 1/2 a month for this one to be released. It seems that with this controller you fixed every major issue the reviewers had with the SN 30 PRO+. Can't wait to get one.
Just picked up my pro 2 and couldn't be happier! This is the third controller from your lineup that I've had. I'm satisfied with my purchases and the customer service was great when I had an issue. Looking forward to whatever else you have coming down the pipeline.

Congratulations. Looks like a solid younger brother to the SN30 pro+. I'm waiting for mine to arrive by courier any minute now.
8Bitdo's SN30 Pro had bar-none the best Dpad I have ever used, however, the Pro Plus had a very mediocre one and I was very disappointed, and after inside both, I realized that the contacts points are a bit different on the Pro Plus than on the Pro. If they make this controller and give it the exact same Dpad as the Pro this will be the greatest controller on the face of the planet.
Something to note. The G classic editions of both have slightly different dpads that the other colors.
@@DE23 I knew they had a different texture on top, but is it a different design? I never got a g classic one because I prefer the Snes Pad
Dualshock 4 with separate dpad is perfect
Got this controller specifically for the macro feature. The button sequence I think is up to 16 and can set different times between each button but can only set 4 macros per profile.
Update- Mirror apps like parallel space cannot load new profiles for the profiles are saved in the controller not the app

Just tested this app to fix the sensitivity of the triggers while playing Nioh, and it worked like a charm.
I dont know why people on Play Store are giving this app bad reviews, it worked really well for me, i didnt like the interface but it was very intuitive.

I'd like to support this but given you still haven't addressed the ghost inputs on the SN30 Pro+ in the past firmwares, I'm hesitant. Please address that.
I haven't experienced that. Maybe update the controller firmware?

I've liked my SN30 PRO+ so much that I bought this a few days after release.
The function I wanted the most was to easily switch from mobile to Nintendo Switch without having to pair it again and again, having to remap buttons on emulators as the ID of the control had changed in the phone, etc.
is there ever gonna be a new version of the N30? maybe with a switch instead of two separate buttons for the turbo function. I think it would be really cool and the design would be clean :)

App doesn’t work on IOS or on Android. Seems to only work on PC but even that is a mission to work correctly. Waste of money for something with so much potential.

I can't even get the 8Bitdo Brown Brick Adapter to pair with anything (tried PS4, PS5, Switch Pro, Xbox One controllers) on the newest firmware update, I have to literally scale back to 1.3 and I lose macro/gyro functionality on dualsense, can I get a new firmware or something?
i have Ulitimate 2C and it did connect to my phone but the app doesn't work when i open location and gave it all the permission and still cant re-map

The Ultimate software is the same for this and Sn30 pro+ on pc. I'm 90% sure this app will work with SN30 pro+
Now, all we need is the ultimate portable controller.
An 8bido Lite+ perhaps (with PSP-like joysticks or something like that)

I hope you guys create a Pro 2 controller counterpart for the excellent Sega controller. The M30 was a step in the right direction for fighting games. A Pro variant with the Sega Dpad would be great.

just a small thing with the app, if you try to exit it with the back button it says "press again to exist" instead of "exit". Just a small typo but I thought you would like to know.

Do you need to update firmware to play switch games since I don’t have a PC to do so. I really want to order some but don’t know if I have to update them in order to play or can I use it straight out the box and not update firmware?
If you never bought this and still need an answer; no a fw update isn't required to play on Switch. There is a..."switch" haha on the back of the Pro 2 controller to choose a mode, and one will make it cooperate with Nintendo Switch.

April I think. The older version called the SN30 Pro+ is already out, it's similar just with less features. I would wait since they're the same price and this one has more features.

Question - if you adjust the stick sensitivity and swap with dpad, does that mean dpad sensitivity increase ?
Why are there no touch control mapping?
Such as wanting to use it on an android game that does not support a controller, so setting things like the A button to hit the bottom right of the screen and the joystic to mimic using your thumb on the bottom left?

8bit do also allows for reordering the physical buttons and are selling different styles of cheap ABXY replacement buttons for the Pro 2.
There are even Playstation style buttons from 3rd party vendors available for it, if you‘re so inclined.
what are the differences between this pro 2 and SN30 Pro +? in terms of feeling with the dpad does it change compared to SN30 Pro +?

Download the app and tried updating the controller with the latest firmware and now the blinking red light won't stop. Please let me know how to fix this problem? Also, it won't connect via Bluetooth to other devices.

Any chance that you can make this compatible with the new 8Bitdo Arcade Stick for button mapping on Android? We need an arcade stick that you can map buttons with, you've made the stick, but we just need the app to support it. Also, I don't see the app on the Google Play store. Do you have a link for it so I can push it through to try on Android?
I don't think the app is out yet. I think it'll come out with the controller.

It's already on Playstore and I already downloaded it ,I also have 8bitdo arcade stick but sadly it's not compatible that's why it sucks when i played fighting games cause i can't mapped the buttons where i want it to place , hopefully for future updates the 8bitdo arcade stick will be compatible to that App🙏🙏🙏 Sorry for my bad english😅
@@janjanxd399 the app on the website I can configure in Vita Fighters with no issue, just no on screen button mapping utility as you confirmed as well with the Google Play app.

It has a gyroscope you can use on switch. No idea what GeForce Now is and I don't know if it'll work on that.
Edit: if the GeForce Now thingy is compatible with switch pro controllers than pairing the controller to your phone in switch mode will probably work.

Probably won't since for controllers to work on ios they need a special codac
The only outlier is the xb1 and ds4 controllers as far as I know

Bought the pro+ for this, but the dpad triggered the taunts only, unable to change it.
Yes you can swap the left stick with d-pad. You can also swap left stick with right stick and left trigger with right trigger.

Can we change button mapping in D-input mode? This was not possible with the SN30 Pro+
You can change the button mapping in D-input mode for both SN30 Pro+ and Pro 2 controller. The Ultimate Software Mobile App only supports Pro 2, but you can use PC or Mac version for SN30 Pro+.
@@8BitDoTech Looking forward to it. Right now, it shows button mapping only for XInput mode and Switch mode for me. Using Ultimate Software on Windows 10. Firmware version of Controller is 3.02. This version came out of the box and I have not updated since a lot of people mentioned ghost inputs after updating to 4.x and 5.x series. It would be great for all current Pro+ users if the ghost input issue can be fixed with updated firmware, so we can update to latest version with confidence. In future, can Mobile App support Pro+ also? Thanks!

Hello, i just bought the new 8bitdo pro 2 controller, i notice a few issue when charging
1. When i unplug the charger when im using the controller while playing a game on the switch, the controller turn off immediately
2. When i charge the controller, the pairing lights keep going like its try to pair with my switch.
3. Sometimes, when i try to charge, the charging indicator goes on for around 7-10 seconds and then it turn off for 7-10 seconds and its on again and so on. It keeps going
4. There is no trigger tab in the ultimate software for Android, i can't adjust the sensitivity for the trigger
