First comment answered my question. I am looking for a pad for Tekken 8 mostly. I have Vitrix, Dual Sense Edge, and two Hori Pads. The Hori pads and the Vitrix seem to have horrible lag, at least for me. The Duel Sense is responsive, but I hate the D-pad. How is the button response or lag?
I love their controllers. This pad is probably the best 3rd party controller I've ever used for under the normal MSRP price. Razer used to have a great budget controller for 360/PC but this one edges it out with all the remapping features. I just grabbed the 8bitdo ultimate controller and have been digging that one a bit more due to its larger size(which I find a bit more comfortable). It does however come at a slight cost increase
nearly 2 yrs of regular use this controller still feels great to use. and in my country the price has dropped to as low as $24.99-29.99 its become quite a steal for its quality

I have this controller too and I love it, It's currently my main controller right now. I've used 8bitdo controllers for years and I can say that it's a pretty good brand I have a lot of their controllers and they are pretty good for the price
@@SaiyaRanGaming the xbox controller feels somehow more ergonomic after some period of usage because the handles are outside towards the side, whereas the pro2 and others from other brands, aswell as grips from different brands, all seem to have the handles inwards. Its weird but that small detail makes a ton of difference ergonomics wise. See both the Playstation official controllers and Xbox's official controllers, have their respective handles spread towards the sides.
The only controller that came close to my 8BITDO was the DualShock 4 v2. I don't use the back buttons so functionally they are quite comparable to me. I do use 8bitdo most of the time nowadays though.
Ok, I am halfway through this video. I 've been using Logitech rumblepads for more than 10 years now. The only problem is that the rubber pads behind the buttons get worn by time and I had to buy the cheaper wired versions in order to get the pad replaced. Now you are telling me that not only this controller has more buttons, but they sell the replacement parts for it. I am sold!
I should say that the bluetooth connection is an issue. I can use my logitech controller from 20 feet away, I just hope that the bluetooth connection doesn't suffer from dropped signals or impeded view of the receiver.

if it's this exact same device you have to switch the toggle on the back to "D" and then turn on Bluetooth on your Android phone. It should pop up as "8BitDo Pro 2" in your Bluetooth listings once you've made your Bluetooth discoverable. Sometimes I have to switch it to "X" for Windows, hold start to cut it on all the way and then switch back to "D" for Android, but either way works
about time someone made a controller with focus on the D Pad !!!!!!!! literally hardly any on the market that focus on this aspect and layout. Have you tried the macros for long sequence presses with 1 button? can this work on xbox series s/x ?
they do have a 2 Xbox branded controllers, but they're both wired. They cost less than this one though. I haven't used the macros for much unfortunately

I used the Kontrol Freeks performance thumb sticks that I had for my ps4 on the sticks to improve accuracy.. you’re right.. they are very very slightly too big.. but it does work.. I’ve found the right stick stays on perfectly but the left stick one will shift out of place if I’m doing some vigorous movement. Still a great controller overall though! I love it!
Although it's good but I hate that it's durability is questionable. I used to have one before, the rubber wear out, the buttons loosen (especially the triggers and analog) and I haven't used it for fully 1 year yet. And not only me, my friend's too
I haven't seen too many people have durability issues but I have seen them offer replacement parts for free if it's in warranty. Some people in the comments have stated that as well

My Xbox one S controller I've been using it for like 5 years now and it only have some problem with LB button sometimes not work properly, the material and the feel when pressing button, the material quality still almost perfect
I have issues about that too, but with Sony... My brother has a dualsense and the R2 button got too loosen in months. It activates with nothing ;;;; I wanna buy a controller that's cheaper but can be used for casual gaming... Would you recommend this one or maybe looking for another one? @@kiryuuisangy the cheaper controllers indeed will feel... Cheaper, the accuracy, the feel of the analog will be different, material quality too. Recently another great 3rd party controller is the Gulikit Kingkong 2 Pro controller, with improved buttons durability and no-drift magnetic analog, but it doesn't support PS4 and the price is about the same as 8bitdo tho. It has amiibo, wake up, gyro, sensitivity settings, rumble settings, and more... 8bitdo still have better D-pad and easier to configure buttons through it's app, while Gulikit natively setup all of it's features with it's own buttons combinations, they both are the best 3rd party switch controller right now I think
@@SaiyaRanGaming Its not a common feature for most controller software so im not surprised its not something you can do with this controller. An example controller that lets you do this is the Gamesir g7 software lets you set the polling rate of the controller.

There's a toggle on the back of this controller. If it's already paired with that device via Bluetooth, just hold start and it'll work fine. You use that toggle to switch between all modes
Very informative review! 8bitdo recently released the Hall effects version so I’m stuck between this and the ultimate controller. I really like the charging dock with the ultimate controller and the overall layout. But no replaceable battery. It does have a 2.4g connection though. Pro 2 looks great aesthetically and comes with a replaceable battery. But I’m worried about how flat it looks and only Bluetooth connection. Does it feel more comfortable then it looks? How does the input lag feel? Edit: They’ll see heavy usage for switch and PC. Ultimate Bluetooth can wake up the switch, can the Pro 2?
I pick one up for 26 euro, i have had a V1 very old DS4 that came with the 1st playstation 4 version so it will be very nice for me, also great for PC since it natively recognized as Xbox so I don't have to fiddle with DS4 and big picture mode remappings
I've actually not used a KingKong Pro 2, but if you want better accuracy with shooters, then I've heard the KKP2 is better because of the sticks. IDK how the d-pad feels though
If you bought this specific controller you don't need the dongle because the controller has Bluetooth built in for the different devices, but some of their other controllers require a dongle.
Yes it does work with M1 iPad Pro. I don't know about Diablo because their app page doesn't say controller support. Sometimes apps advertise it, sometimes they don't. All Apple Arcade games use controllers tho.

@@Lakaizinho 8bit do pro2 supports xinput, dinput and switch controller inputs. You should check what kind of input does iPad supports, if it's any of the three, you can set the mode in controller and connect to device.

Honestly have no idea what you’re talking about i am so much more accurate with these sticks on this controller than the ps4 controller and that controller was considered by many experts to have the best sticks. This controller does everything ps4 did but better, this is the best controller i have ever used. Period. You can easily replace these sticks in the future with hall effect modules if you ever wanted. the features and snes/ps4 design is literally perfect.

I just bought mine. I got the darker gray one with the symbols on the buttons. It's a solid controller. Just make sure you update it first thing. No telling how long it's sat in the warehouse and folks been having stick drift issues but updates fix that.

At first I thought the bluetooth was wrong but when I connect the controller with my mobile phone via bluetooth everything works fine. And I have already installed the software and driver Please help!!!

You just lost me on the organomics argument. The 8BitDo/PlayStation DualShock4 style controller is far better ergonomically sound than an Xbox/Nintendo Pro style controller. For one, symmetrical analog sticks make it so it's much easier & comfortable to press the shoulder buttons whilst maintaining your thumbs grip on the analog sticks. It's more difficult to do this when your left thumb is in a higher position on an analog stick, like with an Xbox or Nintendo Pro controller. Not to mention the triggers on the DualShock4 & to a slightly lesser extent, the 8BitDo Pro 2 controller are better than the XBSX triggers & are far better than what Nintendo has passing as triggers.

Wake from sleep is a must. Nobody is lugging around a Pro controller for mobile gaming. They're just using it for docked. So if my Switch is docked, I'm not walking over to my TV to turn on my Switch. That defeats the purpose of a "Remote"

Is there any limit to macro programming for this controller? Like an action count limit, or a macro playback time limit.
I don't know if there is exactly, but it's at least 15 seconds from what I've seen. Timing has to be manually entered tho.

I got big hands so the Sony back button attachment is awesome for me. Although,with the 8BitDo Pro 2 you can Macro and it's easy setup through the app

Feels good, when playing but this device does not charge. When plugged in, it charges for 10 secs and then stops

the Pro 2 cannot wake the Switch and as soon as I got the Ultimate, I never looked back at the Pro 2. It's THAT good imo

I've actually not used a KingKong Pro 2, but if you want better accuracy with shooters, then I've heard the KKP2 is better because of the sticks. IDK how the d-pad feels though

I've never had an issue with this personally with my 13 Pro or my iPad Pro. It might have been one-offs.

You can use it on mobile too. And it's mobile app can change button mapping through Bluetooth itself. Hope they bring this feature in Windows too.

Were you specifically under the Switch controller settings? Also make sure you save that change to the correct profile and that you're on that profile

Yes! As long as your PC recognizes your controller you can use it for Xbox Cloud.

yes! the intro footage shows it working on iPad and iPhone. There's a toggle on the back that says "A" for Apple devices

Wake from sleep is a must. Nobody is lugging around a Pro controller for mobile gaming. They're just using it for docked.
So if my Switch is docked, I'm not walking over to my TV to turn on my Switch. That defeats the purpose of a "Remote"
