    Have watched a few of these videos. This gentleman is a craftsman and artist. We need more like him to restore items rather than replacing them with cheap disposable garbage made to empty our pockets. Lol!

    By God, Adhi... it arm wrestled you the entire restoration, but you won in the end.
    This proves how difficult it must be giving an accurate quote on labour & supplies.

    I KNEW the moment at 16:30 was coming: "It was not good enough" and then you saying that you stripped everything and started fresh. The end result says it all: this once battered cabinet is now a beautiful piece. Another job well done!

    The new turned legs are gorgeous. After so much talent and effort (and patience!), the wardrobe looks better than new now. Honestly, the hardware was the best part of it when you found it!

    I'm always amazed at your ability to turn shapes by eye on your lathe, you have an artist's eye, don't you? Also, cool new (to me) technique of nailing and puttying through the tape.

    When I was a kid my mom had two of these wardrobes, this sure takes me back, I don' think they make these anymore since they started making houses with closets, excellent job...Javi G.

    As always I am amazed by your patience! I have done some repair and refinishing for over 50 years and I know it can make you feel like pulling your hair out at times. You are such a perfectionist and if I had some really beautiful antique, I would want you to work on it. You have obviously been taught by the best.     Ahti, this final reveal took my breath away!!! I'll bet that this piece has never looked this good. Honestly, you put so much hard work and dedication into everything you do, and I always know that the results will be stunning. But THIS one, it blew me away. I so love watching your videos. Your skills are unmatched, and nothing deters you from keeping at it, despite all of the "surprises". This is a Masterpiece!!!!

      He's an artist as well as being a great craftsman. I watched a restoration he did of a cupboard, with flowers carved in sprays on the doors. He remade the door panels, and etched out the flower sprays, amazing to watch.

    Another amazing restoration and video, just beautiful… I genuinely at one point was thinking is this where we see you beat Ahti… I could not believe how you got the bubbles out the veneer! I was thinking , no way is he doing that .

    I prefer the "not good enough" stain of the original wood rather than wood veneer. I think the original tells a story. I love your videos. You are a phenomenal craftsman!

    You've inspired me to experiment with restorations. Just this morning I saw someone had put an old 1920's-era phonograph on the curb near where I live. I was so close to taking it home to restore it. But, sadly, there were simply too many missing parts. I know I could have fixed up the cabinet to be serviceable, but I just couldn't justify it without the missing phonograph parts. Maybe next time I'll get lucky and find something a bit more complete.

    As much as anything, I love the way you preserve the original wood as much as is humanly possible, not just tossing away feet or sides because they are damaged. It's magic watching you make little 'biscuits' and use them to replace damaged corners and edges ☺🙂 And once again, really loving your music ☺☺

    Love and admire your inner perfectionist, Ahti. Also your videos, with the suspenseful music at the beginning and the glorious reveal at the end. The point-of-view shots and close-ups are wonderful. Moreover, working with the understanding that you are providing the best camera views must add an extra challenge to what you do.
