important for new shaman, cloudburst heal explosion comes from you, not the totem. same for ascendance, place yourself properly when using it as the first "splash" heal will heal the closest target the most. wanna avoid healing ? use ur 12 second interrupts, ur stun totem, ur storm to cc the ennemy , speed ur team between pulls, slow ennemies when tank kiting 12:21 ... talent into frost shock to do explosives. know your timing to pop spirit link, or prepare a big cloudburst totem. track boss/ennemies abilities close to the center of your screen. be aware of when your team will get most damage. always chain heal on a target with riptide on, make a earth shield focus macro for your tank, it does around 7%hps overall per key with good uptime! good luck to all

Hey dude, great guide! I main Resto Shammy this Season (copium finally payed off, we got buffed!!) if I could add something that really helped me get used to Nature Swift was making a macro to cast it with Healing Rain, so when it's available it's instant. Keep up the good work!

I've keybound a natures swiftness/ healing rain macro so every minute I can just throw down an Insta healing rain even on the move with one button. I find it super useful.

Hey the only thing I thought of that wasn't mentioned is that the 'burst' from Cloudburst Totem comes from you and not the totem itself. So you can place this on the move or at least not worry if the tank repositions because you are the point of the heal and not the totem. Thanks again!

I've been playing my resto shaman in keys and raid. Resto shaman is over tuned in both HPS and DPS. The change to healing rain including acid rain is really good DPS in keys, not to mention stormkeeper...over tuned!
Great guide! Been trying to main Enhance, but since I can't find m+ groups as DPS I'm willing to try resto. I have a important question: Which transmog is that? Beatiful!
Single target priority is : 1. Healing Rain (yes, even on 1 target) 2. Maintain Flame Shock 3. Lava Burst 4. Lightning Bolt When there are 2 or more mobs , it's healing rain then spam chain lightning
I don't see too much value in Primordial Wave when using Flow of the Tides. It doesn't act as a 5 man heal when your riptides are getting eaten alot and you don't have tidal core anymore. And the setup of Prim Wave and then casting a slow Wave doesn't make it a useful emergency aoe heal when you don't have good chain heals available. Downpour however is a quick cast that heals alot and can fill the down time of big chain heals really well.
Undulation is not the best play since unleashed life will allow you to buff chain heal another 15% HT + UL + CH is basically a cool down on its own. Follow with a another flow CH when tide ringer is up and you can often top off a party with 2 GCDs

Interrupt should never be over looked... I only ever get beaten by our Pally tank for kicks... Any other comp in usually top for kicks

Also ascendance does not duplicate healing from totems, only heals from yourself. So cloudburst, htt, and earthen wall are not duplicated

FWIW, top Shaman are using it with freezing ice, desirous, prophetic twilight. I use it on mine and it does a lot of dps.
