Stumbled across this video in my recommended. I've seen tidbits of the info you're providing all over the place, but never something this clear and concise. Audio ques are so OP. if you use them for similar mechanics, its almost impossible for your brain not to automatically respond to them. highly recommend
What you said about key binds is exactly how i learned to play multiple classes. My movement based abilities are always on my mouse interupts is always q stun is always E 2nd cc is always shift q or shift E. Keeping things standard helps a ton
After coaching countless players from fresh players to ones looking to push into mythic raiding or higher keys, by far the number one issue I've found is comfort moving while hitting buttons. The poor keybinding/clicking is often due to a failure to practice and prioritize what feels comfortable while moving. The best way for these players to make the large UI and keybind overhaul is to first make a fresh character designed to prioritize fluid movement and keybinds, then before the next expansion rebuild your main set up copying the framework from the new character (or swap main to the new character if willing) and using the time leveling up on the xpac release to get a ton of repetition and practice outside of stressful content like raid/m+. Too many "try" to do make these changes but feel like they cant because they try to fix too much in high stress content with already established behavioral routines that are detrimental to learning and retraining habits.
Plater addon helps with the pre sounds - CC, RUN, really helps me with mobs.... etc.. I need to turn it more but

The only one I, personally, don’t agree with is the action bars. I always have mine on but it’s just personal preference! Great tips re keybinds and such though!
Only chad 1%'ers play without any addons!
On a more serious note, a good video with good advice. Always wanted to hide action buttons (used to do it back in TBC on hunter cus I felt SO in freaking sync with that character, didn't need shit to show up) but as time past, and we got new expansions, classic servers etc, I don't know, I just havent gotten around to it!
For me at least, I think the BIGGEST takeaway from this video and something that I for some insane reason have never thought about and even if I did, I prolly wouldn't bother, is the whole bigwigs thingie. Disable EVERY shit alert on all bosses/dungeons etc, and then only enable what YOU and your class/role actually needs to hear/see. SUPER smart tip.

How do you hide your actionbars? I don't like the preset WeakAura thingies to show my rotation cooldowns because I used to play with Bartender and I have 2 bars on the side of my screen with miscellaneous stuff that I would like to hide mid fight
In Elvui up set them to “mouse over”. I’m not sure with bartender.

I have played since BC with huge breaks in-between. I completely skipped the whole content like DF and Shadow lands . I always felt too old for wow, never used Makros , Always move with wsad , no guild and what the hell is even discord 😂 ... Man I love this game but only in my pasta and rules . I am probably your worst nightmare of a random teammate 😅
