Thanks so much for taking the time to walk around the truck with me, i really enjoyed our conversation and the video!
Awesome build. Glad it’s being noticed.
It was my pleasure!
The truck of the shows, period ! Great job @overland under budget
Inspirational! Hope to incorporate some of your ingenuity in my 1999 Mitsubishi delica.
This is the best truck build ever, no questions asked. It is cheap functional, unique, aesthetic, modular, versatile, DIY friendly...
This is gonna be replicated soon in my nissan D21 (with a few mods to it).
People forget that taking your time and creating your own solutions often turns out in great things that you will never see mass produced and/or available for the pockets of most people
Built for use & function ! I am on board with that premise ! That's exactly what I am doing as well ! I now have the body all in closed supper durable & ultimately light weight & extremely tiny 4X4 overland home on wheels .. built off a Suzuki Samurai platform just bare bones .. not one thing was or is over looked here .. minimalism at it's best for my use & function ...just the essentials ... back road use .. retired & adventure ready ... I am so confident on my rigs ability to be dependable & provide me with the best of everything I will need to go where I want to go & see ... Anyone building something now has a abundance of resources & ideas .. so many have paved the way ...
Great walk around! Loved Micah’s detailed philosophy and creative touch on his build. Can’t wait to see the future mods in store for his rig.
Michael and Micah, it's so refreshing to see a budget build in the Off-Road community!! Micah has built a really cool setup here for less than a new base price of a Jeep, Tacoma or Land cruiser and will have just as much fun. Both of you keep up the great work!
Two of my favorite off-road youtubers! Both of you guys have so much great content, and both seem so genuine and kind. Keep up the great work!
Good interview. Enjoyed seeing a practical approach applied to this overland vehicle.
The steel rims with standard, or close to standard size tires is a sound and wise choice.
This man is a real adventurer with a fit-for-purpose vehicle.
Hey Mikey! A great interview with Micah.... I liked it a lot! Cheers, Mate.
Nice build you have a great thought process on where you choose to mount everything.
Love this build been following it such a smart guy! Cheers🤘🇨🇦
I’ve been following his progress, terrific stuff!
He's transformed that rig into a beast. And mostly all of it is DIY. Impressive.
Been following his channel for a long time. He’s got great videos.
Micah inspired my build along with many others builds ! Thank you so much for sharing all you have done ! I am sixty four & can't wait to get out there & explore ...
Phenomenal build!
I love the popout under the flatbed pelican storage shel/tray. Do you have more information on how this was designed. I'd like to make something similar to be a battery storage tray under the rear of my Sprinter Van. This way I can store them away and pull them down for access. Any links to the design would be greatly appreciated.
I have been waiting for this!
🙌🏼
I am so pleased you gave him the proper time required. a whole video!
Nice build dude is very humble be blessed
Love this build 🤙🏼
Love both your channels!
thank you!
...bravo!... beautiful build.. 👏👏👏
More of this please 👌
Killer build Micah!
There is a huge difference between DIY and Craftsman. This guy is a craftsman!
that is a huge compliment thank you!
Love your built! Can you Amazon-link the dash touchscreen and cameras??
Better yet do a how to video on it!
Thank you for helping the community.
Very nice overlanding.
Very interesting
I see $1,200 in Pelican Boxes alone! Nice home build!
Wow overall. No wonder you featured his build.
Hey all. I’ve got a 2018 Colorado 2.8 turbo diesel. What’s the best performance upgrades I can do?
Ps. Great vid. Cheers
Yay!
Really enjoyed this episode 👌
Awesome! Glad to hear it.
glad you enjoyed it! feeling lucky Michael took the time to film it.
@@OverlandUnderBudget I’ve been overlanding many years and I just love the low budget/do it yourself ideas. Cool build for sure …
You just picked up a new follower…haha
You have the vision of innovation.
@@joshmontgomery4040 thanks Josh! much appreciated
Yessss
Wish - publish a part list.
hola excelente proyecto, me gustaría copiarlo.
It doesn’t have to a $$$ project if you willing to do most of the work by your self and not get the catalog and order all ready made parts. I did my for about that same money including a total rebuilt on a 1992 Toyota truck 4x4 extra cab including a swap 1998 2.7 Tacoma engine. I know this guy does most on his own and I congratulate him.
Hey, I'm on a budget can he build mine like that for a budget price? 😅
Should have a link to overunderbudget
Such a great build. Any Taco-nerds want to tell me when it's worth re-gearing feel free to share your thoughts. My build will be way milder than this one. Even stock, 2013 TRD offroad is sluggish and awkward
I’m running 2013 Taco, ton of skids and rooftop tent, bfg 35x12.5 ko2, stock gears. Nitro gears 4.88 ordered, 5 months behind, but it’s still drivable. I did a pretty decent trail over some mountains, handled fine, but I have arb rear diff locker. Don’t worry too much about gears. You’ll be ok, just highway speeds up a hill means high rev and down shift.
@@truthseeker8123 Good to hear - thanks! Rig sounds awesome!
probably when you get to 33" or bigger tires youd want to think about regearing. Especially if youre adding a camper shell and or skidplates, bumpers and sliders. But if you dont go bigger in tires youre fine.
Micha, Great build. Do you have an estimate of how many hours you have invested in this build? Also, how many people can travel in it?
Cheers mate!
hey! So ive owned the truck for about 2 years and work on it all the time in the free time and weekends. A lot of trying ideas out and changing them later so its hard to say how many hours are into it. For the camper and flatbed i started working on that about 6-7 months before this video
@@OverlandUnderBudget Very cool. Inspiring. As I say, all you need is a welder and a grinder. ;-) Don't mind the person behind it.
cute and cool! ♫♪♫♪
Unpopular truth, being be smart with your money is just as important as knowing your vehicles limitations.
Unpopular?! Sounds like common sense!
@@OverlandBound very unpopular, especially when it comes to keeping up with the Jones... 😂 😂 😂
😂
now include the cost of that workshop
Most of us can't even afford the price of a used vehicle in this market lol
He had guessed what he thought the build was at 230k but never got an answer. How much was the build?
first
a win is a win! haha
Boom!
I have some respect for someone who does it themselves with an older rig. Most of these guys are millionaire computer guys. They annoy me. I'm a blue collar guy and I just can't wrap my head around how these guys make so much money....
It´s allways the same: buy once, cry once.....nice rig
Great rig but this is deceiving. If you have really good skills and time then sure it's $15k. Otherwise time is money as is skill, and his time and skill put in would cost me about $75k plus truck. Tremendous skills on this guy though, great looking truck.
