TacticalBassin you guys should make a video where you go to your local bass pro shops and have 100 dollars to spend and have a Tim vs Matt 100 dollar challenge
Caught two nice bass on a buzzbait yesterday and then started missing them. 4 in a row to be exact. Watched this video and made the adjustments suggested with cutting and bending. As always Tactical bassin never fails! You guys have helped me so much is unreal! Thank you guys so much for all you do!!
Dude I never liked buzzbaits after first time I tried it. Then I watched one of you vids Lojo. And went to buy a nice one instead of a cheap one. And now iam hooked, and so are the fish!
This channel is by far my favorite to watch from the instructional videos to crazy topwater blowups. Matt really goes in depth when explaining things and it helps a bunch. Keep making videos!
These tactical Bassin videos are a godsend to an amateur missouri fisherman who is looking to get back into fishing. Ive been out of the game so long but you have provided the ammunition for me to get out there with the knowledge to catch fish! thank you guys!
This is by far the best video on buzz baits I have ever seen. I went back and shortened every buzz bait in my box and got a few skirtless to use this year. Thank you so much.
Just want to say a huge thanks for all of us who watch outside of the states and target different freshwater fish. Whether Murry Cod and Australian Bass or Redfin Perch and Pike. Everything you come out with is such an amazing insight into lure design and use and fish behaviour. Please never stop producing and teaching
Last week's heat was BRUTAL. But, the day I was able to fish it was worth enduring. The bite was wide open. Great info as usual. I learned some new things to look for and try. I appreciate your hard work and the help.
Matt and Tim put a ton of work/time into these videos. They are probably the most informative guys in the "internet world" they both are true dedicated fisherman that go above and beyond the little details in all their videos. They are always coming out with new videos which are always interesting. I would highly recommended their channel if your getting into fishing or even well-seasoned/experienced, keep an eye on tacticalbassin!
New info and what the pros are using is what feeds the fire for guys like myself and others from coming back to you guys . Thanks for the no skirt buzz bait info . well done .!!!
I really appreciate all the knowledge and tactics that you share with all of us other fisherman. By far the most in-depth videos. I really appreciate you guys at tacticalbassin!
I'm new to the fresh water game and I gotta say that your videos are very helpful and enjoyable to watch. Thank you for all the tips and tricks yall provide
Hi i love your explanations on types of lures, and what you said about skipping lures was interesting and I was wondering if you have a video about that? Thanks.
This is so funny for me. I lost the skirt on one of my favorite buzz baits and thought what would happen if I put a trailer on with no skirt. I swear I caught more fish and more hits especially in summer. I didn't even know it was a thing. I thought it was my secret...🤣
Being from Yuma Arizona, I definitely rolled my eyes after you said it was 102 and you were burning up. Then I got a laugh after you said anyone from Arizona probably doesn’t feel sorry for you. You’re right, I have to usually head to the lake at 3am in the summertime to get out there and get some fishing in before it’s 120 out.
Never caught on a buzzbait, went to the lake today after watching this and decided i wouldnt throw anything other then my buzzbait to gain some confidence in it. Absolutely killed it with a 2.98 and a 4.01 (lost one and missed two blowups too) great channel i look forward to seeing these💯👌
Thanks for this video! Went fishing today with a friend (both from float tubes) on a lake full of cattails. This video reminded me about buzzbaits and how great they can be for big bass. Took some buzzbaits with me. Just about on the third cast of the day I caught a 4.44lb bass (my 4th biggest bass ever) on the tip of a point made by cattails. Classic spot for big bass! It was really windy! I used a black double buzzbait with no trailer and no trailer hook. I don't like to use trailer hooks but I use plastic trailers sometimes (I think it helps the bass hit the hook because they aim at that area of the bait). I use double buzzbaits most of the time. They're my favorite buzzbaits and I feel they mimic a larger prey and are better for bigger bass. Also, I can fish them slower and many times big bass prefer that easy to catch target.
great video matt!! I remember when you did the frog video. not most recent one but the one before that and I have had so much success with frogs now I am forever grateful for you and tim!! Great stuff!!
Thank you for this tip. I bass fish in Virgina and I use every tip a few times, no matter where it comes from. You never really know what will work anywhere until you give it a go.
As always keep up the good work and dedication to spreading the knowledge and passion for bass fishing. Awesome thanks for all the hard work on your videos
Thanks For The Video! As always, Great Video! Very informative. I have been Doing quite a bit of research on buzzbaits, for Daytime and Nighttime BIG BASS. I've been amazed at how effective The buzzbaits are at night. they seem to draw the bigger bites after dark. Thanks for the recommendation on the skirtless Versions. I'll be purchasing a few of those Dirty Jig Buzzbaits for my Buzz Box. Thanks again for helping us all become more knowledgeable anglers, guys! tight lines to ya
Thanks for the great tips Matt I have learned so much from you and Tim it’s awesome watching tactical bassin get bigger and bigger you guys are great keep it up I’m trying to save some money up and come up there i live in southern Cali in the mountains and only have small ponds to fish but I’ve caught bigger fish on the techniques you have provided and I’m grateful!! Take care
love this.. picked up some great info on that skirtless buzzbait...it's got to be good if i'm thinking of trying some of these tricks since i've always done so great in the california delta on good old strikeking bill dance tri wing (metal blade) style...i can fish those so slow and i just vary trailers...i go from a small grub tail to a zoom ol' monster 10 inch worm for trailers to push different amounts of water and different silhouettes...i defineately need to do some dock skipping at clearlake with the lipless ...thanks tons ... really great stuff
Great tips. I've been throwing a skirtless buzzbait with a swimbait for a long time. I've yet to ever see anyone else throw one (In person). I think it's still a bigger secret that you might think, at least down here in Texas. Great way to catch pressured fish in Texas from April to November.
so, bamafrogs recently put out a topwater addiction video. I mean everyone love topwater, right? But, here's the thing, most of us don't know when to select which type of lure. I suggested to them an informative video on choosing a topwater. Yes we all know not to throw a whopper plopper or popr in muck and pads. I guess what I'm looking for is someone, who actually knows what they're talking about, to put out a video going over their decision making process. I've seen people throwing frogs in open water. Why? what would make someone decide to do that? Is it just seeing something on the graph? Is it just being familiar with that specific body of water? I just think a topwater bait choosing video would be a hit.
Dallas stone in low light conditions the fish start roaming and will often be cruising and hunting in open water. That's why a frog works in open water. Also frogs might be chased into open water by fish, which makes them an easy target because they have nowhere to hide.
If you hear frogs or know that the fish are mainly eating frogs, it's best to use something that looks like a frog. If you "match the hatch" you have a better chance of being successful. Check out bama bass' vid on topwater conditions
hey Matt, I took your advice about bass being Curious by Nature. I was on a swimbait yesterday but they just wouldn't eat it, but when I saw a follower I'd rip it twice then kill it, something you've talked about before I just never tried it. I put a couple good fish in the boat, thank you guys for all the tips and tricks
Thanks to your vids I’m finally learning how to use what’s in my tackle box for retirement in Maine. Great information presented exceptionally well. I had a bad idea for a novelty lure, how about a 4.8 rubber swim bait that looks like a mermaid (or merman) on a skirt-less buzz bait? Normally I only present such thoughts surrounded by beer. Keep up the good work!
Great video. Love the in depth description of all the styles and variations along with what they do. I’m trying to choose a buzzbait for prespawn for my home lake I fish but can’t decide. What do you think would be best suitable for an all around shallow low visibility lake with a bunch of grass flats?
Like the swimbait idea and I'm going to try it. One of my favorites is a lizard trailer and the bass attack it like crazy. I've had them jump out of the water and take it down!
hey guys, great video.. awesome tips.. should I have my drag completely tight..or should I have should it a little loose when im throwing topwater lures..( frog, buzz, popper, etc)
I truly enjoy watching your info videos as you guys present them to us in real world terms. I would like to ask you about using a buzz bait on the river. I was bass fishing in So Cal where I lived in Santa Clarita on lakes like Castaic etc. I now live in Idaho and have been learning how to catch the large and small mouth bass. I started fishing a skirtless buzzbait around 8yrs ago. A local river rat we would always see at the ramp clued us into pulling the skirt off a regular buzz and threading a tube over the head. It sounded crazy at the time, but I gave it a try and wasn't disappointed in the results.. You'll also see lots of guys in the southeast running a white toad on a skirtless buzz.

True! He fished at night most of the time, but black buzzbaits work just as well during the daytime. I was close to beat my PB a few weeks ago on a black double buzzbait in the middle of the day! :)
Brayton Killiri Fishing just starting using buzzbait. Been trying it everywhere and can't get them to strike. same with the whopper plopper. i dont know if it's just where im at but bass fishing in general has proven to be more difficult than not..
Dude, Don't even worry about the skipping!!! You and Tim slay them hogs without one skip. I've seen some dude that skip, skip, skip and not catch nothing. Imo, that is what sets you apart as anglers. Thank about it, i don't believe i have seen Mr.Dance say "this is where i skip it ten times under this pier boys and girls". Lol
This channel is the most informational fishing channel on RUclips! Great video 👍🏼
A_Fields_Bassin very true! Love the content they post! Always look forward to their uploads!
Yea they are!!! I have noticed my hook/land/catch ratio dramatically increase since watching them!
Thank you so much!
TacticalBassin you guys should make a video on the sprinker frog
TacticalBassin you guys should make a video where you go to your local bass pro shops and have 100 dollars to spend and have a Tim vs Matt 100 dollar challenge

VERY interesting stuff! I'm a big buzzbait guy but haven't heard of a couple of these tips. LIKED
Awesome! That's what its all about, we appreciate ya!
Got a OG lojo comment
Now LOJO has his own buzzbaits
Dude I never liked buzzbaits after first time I tried it. Then I watched one of you vids Lojo. And went to buy a nice one instead of a cheap one. And now iam hooked, and so are the fish!
This channel is by far my favorite to watch from the instructional videos to crazy topwater blowups. Matt really goes in depth when explaining things and it helps a bunch. Keep making videos!
Sid Farley definitely the most informative. bamabass has the wildest blowup videos on RUclips though. both are my favorite to try to learn from
Thank you so much Sid!!!
These tactical Bassin videos are a godsend to an amateur missouri fisherman who is looking to get back into fishing. Ive been out of the game so long but you have provided the ammunition for me to get out there with the knowledge to catch fish! thank you guys!

Last week's heat was BRUTAL. But, the day I was able to fish it was worth enduring. The bite was wide open.
Great info as usual. I learned some new things to look for and try. I appreciate your hard work and the help.
Happy to help!
By far the most informative RUclipsR OUT THERE. Can't wait to try the skirt less buzz bait
Thanks so much Bill!

Thanks so much Jeff!
I'm new to the fresh water game and I gotta say that your videos are very helpful and enjoyable to watch. Thank you for all the tips and tricks yall provide
Thank you for this one, I been trying to become a better buzzbait fisherman for a while but I don’t dedicate any time to it honestly. This helps !
Right on time with this bro..hitting a private pond tomorrow and planned on buzzbait!! 👍👍
Thanks Matt, i'll definitely try that on Monday. Up here in PA the fish have seen many buzz baits.
Hi i love your explanations on types of lures, and what you said about skipping lures was interesting and I was wondering if you have a video about that? Thanks.
Great video! Thinking I should have threw one when I was there. Nice to get to meet you in the parking lot.
Thanks Jeff, nice to meet you too!
New sub. I like the way you explained things. Very straight forward and from personal experience, not hype or theory.
This is so funny for me. I lost the skirt on one of my favorite buzz baits and thought what would happen if I put a trailer on with no skirt. I swear I caught more fish and more hits especially in summer. I didn't even know it was a thing. I thought it was my secret...🤣
Was having tons of misses today on my buzz bait. Going to adjust that blade and see what happens 👀. Just subbed!!
Thx for taking the time and effort to do this for us on that very hot day. Thx Matt! Great job-super valuable info here.
You are a good man Matt
Being from Yuma Arizona, I definitely rolled my eyes after you said it was 102 and you were burning up. Then I got a laugh after you said anyone from Arizona probably doesn’t feel sorry for you. You’re right, I have to usually head to the lake at 3am in the summertime to get out there and get some fishing in before it’s 120 out.
Quality stuff once again Matt. I use naked buzz with Fluke and trick worm for a subtle buzz baiting in pressured or calm water.
Nice!
... and my Dirty Jigs shopping list grows even longer. Great content, as always, fellas.
Ha! Thanks Ian!

I haven't been really successful with buzz baits, but I must say the skertless with a plastic swim bait has peeked my interest.
Its a game changer for sure
Awesome video as usual I will give these tricks a try
This is one of the only youtube accounts that my dad will actually watch and follow on other social media things.
Texas Remastered no frills straight up fishing and real advice.
Thanks Bud!
Great tips. I've been throwing a skirtless buzzbait with a swimbait for a long time. I've yet to ever see anyone else throw one (In person). I think it's still a bigger secret that you might think, at least down here in Texas. Great way to catch pressured fish in Texas from April to November.
Greatest channel ever!
Really enjoyed. Great tips. Thanks

grayson malitsky thank you. my thing though is why throw a frog instead of a spook or a buzzbait.
If you hear frogs or know that the fish are mainly eating frogs, it's best to use something that looks like a frog. If you "match the hatch" you have a better chance of being successful. Check out bama bass' vid on topwater conditions
grayson malitsky I haven't seen that one. will definitely try to find it.
Thanks for.the tips, as a begginer angler your videos have been awesome!

Awesome!!

Most informative channel on RUclips. Keep it up 👍
Thank you Nick!
I just bought my first buzzbaits. I can't wait to try em' out.
You'll love it!

It's going to keep blowing up great work as always
Thank you Josh!
Have you guys tried the rage toad or similar bait on the no skirt buzz? I found out it creates more resistance, slows the retrieve and bass love it!
They love the buzz bait on the desert lakes!
What about in-line buzzbaits? One of the first great buzzbaits was the Floyds Buzzer. It was a in line with a bucktail skirt!
Love the new intro, much better than the old one
Thanks!
Like the swimbait idea and I'm going to try it. One of my favorites is a lizard trailer and the bass attack it like crazy. I've had them jump out of the water and take it down!
I love the yellowish-green color buzz bait.
Awesome... .love your vids....excellent tips...
yup it's hot in az payson been 100's.. good info... seen some folks put bead on wire to take up some area

hey guys, great video.. awesome tips.. should I have my drag completely tight..or should I have should it a little loose when im throwing topwater lures..( frog, buzz, popper, etc)
Tight on big single or double hooks and loose on treble hooks

Where have you guys been my whole life? Loving the content! Subd!
Ha! Thank you Tom!!
great tips! definitely will try it. any other top water tips r welcomed
Would a buzz bait work in a river that has a decent flow speed to it?
Thank you,
Chris
Dude find some shade...what are we all going to do if you get heat stroke and cant make videos???
Ha!
lol 😂
Thanks for sharing the tips
Great content ! Love your channel bro !
Good stuff man!
More great info, Matt!
Always learn from your videos for sure
Would like learning one more thing I want to travel and fish Chickamauga and will only have a few days there and would like to know the best place to Launch at
Have yet to get a double digit bass
I started fishing a skirtless buzzbait around 8yrs ago. A local river rat we would always see at the ramp clued us into pulling the skirt off a regular buzz and threading a tube over the head. It sounded crazy at the time, but I gave it a try and wasn't disappointed in the results.. You'll also see lots of guys in the southeast running a white toad on a skirtless buzz.
That's awesome! You were wayyyy ahead of the curve!
The guy at the ramp must have felt bad for us because he was ALWAYS catching good numbers and size on the river and we were always coming in having caught a couple decent fish, but nothing else. We kept his secret until now. Keep up the good work guys. The finesse smallie video from Wednesday is nuts!
Im sure you guys keep buzz bait color selection simple, as do i (i only carry black, white, green pumpkin, and white/charteruse). But what is your go-to color? Also, on the skirt-less buzz, do you only use a baitfish colored kietech? thanks
Black, white, or chartreuse and you can use any of the above colored keitechs as well.
Thanks for the response and great vid!
Thanks!! Not very good @ skipping but I'll try it. Great video.
You can do it!
Good stuff guys
Pat Cullen caught 1,113 bass over 10 pounds all on a black buzzbaits
True! He fished at night most of the time, but black buzzbaits work just as well during the daytime. I was close to beat my PB a few weeks ago on a black double buzzbait in the middle of the day! :)
Brayton Killiri Fishing bro
Brayton Killiri Fishing just starting using buzzbait. Been trying it everywhere and can't get them to strike. same with the whopper plopper. i dont know if it's just where im at but bass fishing in general has proven to be more difficult than not..
Who the hell keeps track of that?????
I caught my pb on a back buzz bait
The basstrix minnow is awesome on that skirtless too🔨👇🏻
For sure!!!
learn something every time... keep em coming
Great stuff Matt!
Thanks Tom!
Matt thanks for the tips!
Keep up the good work guys!
Thanks Corey!
