U have a lifetime to learn about Prince. He was the greatest artist of all time. Period!
Dude isn’t iconic for nothing. Not only did Prince do it ALL but he did it extremely well!!
Prince was so amazing, it’s such a shame so many don’t know how good he truly was.
One only needs to hear Prince once to realize just how talented and gifted he was.
Prince played bass, electric and acoustic guitar, drums, organ, piano, synthesizer, harmonica and several other instruments mostly percussion. He can get his range up to 6 octaves. Prince is the man. RIP to the GOAT. My favorite artist. I'm so glad I got the chance to see him perform. His shows were legendary. One of the best live performers period. I also visited Paisley Park and it was magical.
That’s dope ‼️ glad you had that experience ✨
He's THE GOAT.
Prince is the greatest artist IMHO. And since you are from MPLS, you should definitely go down the purple rabbit hole and discover his genius. 💜
Trust and believe 🤞🏽✨
I'm shocked he is from Minnie and had no real knowledge of Prince, that's crazy. My 27 year old cousin knows about Prince and how gifted he was. He has to be pulling our leg about that, lol.
@@chica4530 he said in another P reaction video that he was familiar with like 4 songs by Prince: Kiss, She’s Always in My Hair, The Greatest Romance, and I forgot the other one, but I thought what an interesting mix of songs to only know by P especially being from MPLS. But I will give him the benefit of the doubt on this one 😊
The best to ever do it. Prince!
Prince never was afraid of his vulnerable side that's why there is soooo much emotion in his music!!! Love it!!!!
That’s inspiring ‼️ definitely taking note 📝
piano was his first instrument, he plays 27+
It still hurts that he's gone. There never has been or ever will be anyone like him (in my opinion). He also wrote a ton of songs for other artists.
Super Bowl halftime show was epic ruclips.net/video/-WYYlRArn3g/видео.html
Guitar solo on While My Guitar Gently Weeps ruclips.net/video/6SFNW5F8K9Y/видео.html This is when George Harrison from the Beatles (who wrote the song) was inducted into the rock & roll hall of fame.
Prince is amazing, so talented. Love reaction!
Thank you!!
I was fortunate enough to go to The Prince Purple Rain Concert November of 1984 at the Capital Center in Largo Maryland outside Washington DC. Sheila E was his opening act. She was incredible!!
I was there too!
@@vespoint At the Capital Center?!
He played every instrument under the sun and his voice was an instrument he hit the highest notes ever and scale down to the lowest hitting everything in between. He could make sounds that werent real notes but more animalistic that nooneelse can hit. Like his music or not, No One puts on a better live.concert then Prince, everynight he changed songs, instruments, etc. He is and always will be the GOAT
You need to learn about Prince. He was the one in the 80's for us.
80s - 2016 and forever!
Call My Name one of my favorites. Diamonds and Pearls, Kiss, and Little Red Corvette..
He has a wider vocal range the MJ, he plays so many different styles of music and his first albums he played all the instruments. he is more creative and his halftime show is referred to as the night they played football at a prince concert and, unlike MJ, the dude was more than comfortable in his own skin.
THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER IN THIS LIFETIME O(+>4EVER HIS VOCALS WERE AN INSTRUMENT CHANGING WITH EVER SONG. PLEASE REACT TO
PRINCE SONG ''DAMN U'' HIS VOCAL R SO DOPE ON THIS SONG
Prince is music and music is prince!!!
Rolling Stone has him at #16 of the 200 best singers of all time.
As they said: "There’s no choir quite like a choir of Princes. Play “Adore,” the heavenly climax of 1987’s Sign o’ the Times, and bask in that plush assemblage of overdubbed voices, in multiple registers, assembled with audible glee by the guy who also sings lead and plays most of the instruments."
100%.
Prince played more than 20 instruments, & he played them all very well! His earlier albums he played every single instrument on the album, wrote all the songs, produced the album, had a world class voice & could dance his ass off. He also wrote huge hits for other big artists. He had no weaknesses as an artist/performer. Glad you're checking him out!
That’s impressive!! Thanks for tuning in :)
Man, to be able to never had heard Prince music and to know what kind of journey you have ahead of you hearing his music for the 1st time. You are in store for an amazing ride, man. I am glad you did. Your life will never be the same. Enjoy, and post as many of the reactions as you can on here, there are a bunch of us out here who just love seeing people feeling what we felt the 1st time we heard any one of his amazing songs. ✌ and good luck with your musical career. Im gonna subscribe and keep an eye out for your music.
Oh, and try starting out with his music starting from the 80s. That was his best
‘Preciate you 🙏🏽 and will do :)
Prince is my favorite artists man & he was a true Gemini. Prince had at least 7 different voices, i've tested this theory too. One time i played 4 Prince songs on a car ride for my friend who only knew his hits. I played "when we're dancing close and slow" "Gett off" "Dreamer" & "The most beautiful girl in the world" She had no clue that those 4 songs were from the same singer...Prince. She literally thought they were all different artists lol. She was so shocked that she forced me to prove it to her by showing her my spotify playlist. He was amazing vocalist, a great rapper, lyricist, mult instrumentalist & could also dance his butt off. Would love to see you react to his best dance breaks. Love your reaction dude & i see your poster back there. RIP Akira Toriyama.
That versatility ✨ Rest easy to them both 🙏🏽
You know it
With a more than obvious Scorpio Rising ♏️ 💜😅
Enjoy watching young talent look back on some of the innovators with respect. Good luck on your musical journey young Brother.
Thank you 🙏🏾
So happy that you came across this compilation and decided to check it out. He is the best to ever do it. He wrote, produced, played every instrument, and sang every note on many of his songs. Plus, he was an amazing performer as you could see from that video. I have lots of recommended live performances for you… Purple Rain (the version from the Syracuse show in the Purple Rain tour is epic. 1985 American Music Awards is also amazing and was in that compilation), Piano Medley from the Lovesexy Tour, anything from the Glam Slam show (Nothing Compares 2 U and Thieves in the Temple/It are my faves), live version of America (super funky and he plays guitar and drums), Pass the Peas with Maceo Parker (I added this since you’re an artist. P plays guitar and bass and it’s amazing), Shhh (from Detroit show on Musicology tour), Motherless Child (amazing and emotional vocals and guitar solos and he’s conducting the band throughout. It’s super cool). I’ll stop there, but I could go on and on. Really looking forward to more Prince. I love watching people’s introductions to him. It reminds me of the first time I heard all of his songs 💜💜💜
All of these are great recommendations. I especially love the glam show 1992 concert. I love Push from this one so much… Prince getting down on the bar is one of my favs! And The Syracuse 1985 Purple Rain concert and America (official video) performances are iconic examples of his talent. Love all these recommendations!
@@tracyface69 I love that performance of Push as well. I have watched that whole show so many times.
React to Prince The question of you 2004 live.
Ahhh!! Prince is music personified. I feel for the generations that won't ever experience him live😢. The best concerts I have ever been to. You should watch the live version of Anna Stesia.
U should go to the Prince Celebration this summer June 20th -24th at Paisley Park! Be on the lookout for tickets!
Sounds like a plan !!
The Modern Day Mozart!! Genius! The GOAT!. Beat out MJ/Thriller at the Grammys with Purple Rain. Played every instrument on his first album, 'For You'. Loved your reaction, please watch the movie Purple Rain! And will you react to Let's Go Crazy from the movie video, My Guitar Gently Weeps when he was inducted into the Hall of Fame, Superbowl performance, Little Red Corvette, 1999, and if you get adventurous you may want to check out Lady Cab Driver! He has so many sounds, hundreds of amazing songs, EPIC!!! 💜
For sure! I would love to check out more of his work :) thanks for the recommendations 🙏🏾✨
I'm a fellow musician; would love to share some poignant Prince performances.
As a musician and composer Prince is a great study...
Somewhere Here on Earth Prince you will ❤️ it! 1:29
I love Prince, maybe RIP, he was so really talented, his voice and expressive ways, his guitar playing is the best. I love the band Queen during Freddie Mercury’s life with them ,too. My favorite of all time.
Prince is probably the greatest all around performer in history. Check out his Syracuse purple rain tour and his Montreaux performance of when you were mine in the red suit. I think it’s like 98 or something. Here on RUclips. Also anything between 78-84
Gotchu! I'll check it out :)
Sooooo …. Let’s just say you don’t know Prince AT ALL … and go from there!
Buckle your seatbelts cause when you go down the Prince rabbit hole you will be shocked and amazed!
This I guarantee!
💜
My aunt was a huge Prince fan & introduced me to his music at a very young & tender age when my "virgin ears" were just not quite ready for songs like "Darling Nicky" & "Erotic City"😅. However, all of his classic hits soon became some of my favorites. Like "Little Red Corvette", "Raspberry Beret", "When Doves Cry", "Purple Rain", "1999", "Let's go Crazy", "Kiss", "U got the look"...I also really like "Seven" even though it's not really recognized as one of his "hits" I don't think.
Ima check those out !!
If Prince live at the capital theater January 30th 1982 is not on this list. Then this list isn't correct. Especially when he's performing "Do me baby"
Check out his live 1985 performance called America🎉💜👑
And his number one nemesis Michael Jackson
Jk🤣🤣🤣😝😝😝
Both artists so dope🫶🏽
😂😂
Wendy? ……if you know, you know
There was nothing I mean nothing that Prince did that he wasn't good at. I feel sorry for those who are just experiencing this genius after he passed away.
Bro, you're a musician from Minnesota and don't know Prince inside and out??? Are you serious? To really appreciate his genius you should watch and react to the interviews with his studio producers. He could've done so much more than just music. Watch his Bat Dance video and witness a fuller expression of his total artistic genius.
You weren't recording, yet there's video of you?
Recording myself, yes. Recording the screen of the video I was reacting to, no.
Great topic. The audio for the video is too low. can't appreciate the vocals.
Thanks! Appreciate the feedback. Trying to be creative with avoiding copyright, but I’ll keep that in mind
"Missing notes"? It does not compute...
