This is totally rediculous, but the Pokemon season 1 theme song makes me cry...
It brings me back to days when I didn't care what clothes I wore, make up, grades, or working.

When I was a kid, I would wake my dad up every morning so that he can switch on the TV so I could watch Scooby-Doo.
I would sing the theme song while doing a funny dance, when I got a little older hid make fun of me while reenacting my stupid dance.
Unfortunately he died a couple years back and hearing that theme song brought me back
My condolences on your lost. But it's great that the scooby theme brings you a great memory of your dad. Everytime i 👂 the original transformers theme it reminds me of my dad telling us stories of the original show.

DuckTales was one of the best and most popular cartoon shows of all-time, but that alone doesn't mean it has the best theme of all-time.

Danny Phantom seems like an interesting premise, but maybe it doesn't quite have the impact these other shows have.
To YOU and the people who grew up with it and loved it, it had a big impact, but Scrooge McDuck has been an Iconic Disney character for 50 years, along with Launchpad, Huey Dewy and Louie, and all that jazz.

That's why I said Hey Arnold! depends. I thought that they were awesome songs, especially Invader Zim, Danny Phantom, and The Fairly Oddparents. These cartoons were ANYTHING but obsure... That's just my opinion, of course. And I'd like to point out that The Fairly Oddparents has spanned generations easily... I grew up with it and my little cousins are growing up with it now.
Luckylikeit almost everybody knows the theme song to Scooby-Do and Spiderman, despite how old they are.
These new cartoons don't have memorable songs, despite you watching them growing up and loving them.
I've seen most of these shows and couldn't tell you the themes to them.
I can't even picture Danny Phantom.

I was hoping Ducktales, TMNT or Pokemon would be #1, but considering how old this song, how many times it's been covered, and even non-fans recognizing the tune, I can agree #1 is well deserved.

Just because it's a different style of animation doesn't make it any less of a cartoon. Separating anime as not cartoons is just fucking ridiculous, it's all moving drawings.
Pokemon song played backwards tells kids to rape and kill and to worship satan. That is a well known fact.

I know all these cartoons are the greatest. They formed my childhood man even though a good bit I didn't really much see you know. I'm from TNT so a good bit of cartoons weren't show but I know about them. It would be too long to go into every single cartoon as its too much but I just want to acknowledge "Diary of a Wimpy Kid." They showed it again today and that is always a good children's movie too. Nothing to do with the theme song as it is not animated but it is always good to see back any cartoon from the past or animated movie or even tv show that was really good. Whether it be a cartoon or tv show or movie franchise, you gotta remember them man and treasure them. Man, everything (cartoons, tv shows, movies) the works formed my childhood man. Keep going strong. This list has a lot of great cartoons but of course there's more. I could've said a whole lot more on this but I'll keep it short............ for now...................

What a very random list! I've been listening to various theme songs on here, that I enjoyed throughout the years. Darkwing would be my favorite theme, the ranking of the rest is still debatable in my mind. But, some of my favorites that I think have replay value are: Heathcliff, The Snorks, a pup named Scooby Doo, Speed Racer(1967) & Tiny Toon adventures.

Im 28 now and know all of these series but I cried so hard when Pokemon came up. This was the real deal to me when I was 7-12 years old. My childhood was so much in love with Pikachu and his friends.

It was from the movie, but the pink panther song is also used as a theme song to the TV show so it should be acceptable
The video said they weren't including pieces written for movies that also later spawned a cartoon. So it's still not counted.

The only two theme songs worth a mention are DuckTales and Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? When I say Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? I mean the catchy pop concert version sung by Velma and The Hex Girls (at the end of Scooby-Doo & the Vampire Slayer). Two others should get in on this: My Little Pony and my favourite 80's Theme Song of all, The Sylvanian Families. So, if you like, these are my top four Favourite Theme Songs.
