Spectacular Spider-Man
Omg I need a part 2 including The proud family theme song, The Fairy Oddparents theme song, Phineas & Ferb theme song, The Pink Panther theme song, The Family Guy theme song, & The American dad theme song
How was Real Ghostbusters/Extreme Ghostbusters themes left out of the list let alone the honourable mentions
Dbz, but there's also a lot of themes that are awesome.
Biker Mice From Mars
This is one those rare occasions where WatchMojo got my FULL attention by both the thumbnail & the title of the video alone. So much nostalgia in a single video... And I still listen to some of the themes.
"its time for..."
Same 😁
@Marco Castillo Same with Sonic X's 4Kids theme.
@@ARTSONICFAN990 I know the Sonic X theme song!
@@mojo3318 Amen.
I can’t believe the “Phineas and Ferb” theme didn’t make the list! It’s a total banger that my kids and I will still break out into randomly. Huge miss on that one!
Me and my sister said "Magic School Bus" 🤣
And The Fairly Oddparents, too! Can't believe they didn't make it to the list! There's some iconic animated theme songs that will remember in our childhood like Dexter's Laboratory, Rugrats, Biker Mice From Mars, Sailormoon(since they released Dragon Ball, why not release it too since this is an anime), Powerpuff Girls(the OG 90's one),Ed, Edd and Eddy, The Amazing World of Gumball, Avatar: The Legend of Aang and Johnny Bravo
Totally agree!
They also left out The Magic School Bus.
It’s ranked highly on another very similar watch mojo list titled “catchiest” cartoon themes
Unpopular opinion: Total Drama Island's theme is severely underrated
Not unpopular at all... although I agree that most of these songs are bangers this was definitely an oldies but goodies list. There were a lot of 2000s shows that I was surprised didn't make it to the list.
That is my alarm song lmao
I can agree with that
My kids have recently discovered this show & it is an addictive theme!!
What
A lot of people probably don't remember this, but "The Pink Panther" had his own cartoon show, and the Grammy-winning theme (written by Henry Mancini) was used for it.
I remember this!
Of course! I don’t know why I forgot that one!
I remember that show, great memories
I love the Spider-Man and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme songs. So classic!
Spidermaaan! Spideeermaaan!
The only Spider-Man cartoon theme song that I was actually familiar with as a kid was the one from the 1994 cartoon series.
Facts
Must be a 90's kid
They never get old
Nice list! An honorable mention: Jem and the Holograms (80s version). The song will instantly be in your head the rest of the day!
I never even watched that show, but that is indeed the case.
_"Glamour and glitter..._
_Fashion and fame..."_
It WAS truly outrageous!
I loved JEM! I always wanted a Jem doll...I'm still waiting😄
Pokemon and Danny Phantom's themes were my jams as a child. I still remember all of the lyrics, I'm unashamed to admit!
Young Danny Fenton, he was just 14
@@Juggtacula When his parents built a very strange machine
POKEMON IS AN ANIME NOT A CARTOON
@@robynwolph3836 Anime is short for animation which is what both Pokémon and Danny Phantom are Pokémon is a cartoon.
You're not the only one. I know the lyrics to these bangers and I can't help but sing along.
The fact that you left Johnny Quest completely off the list is mind-boggling. That big-band swing is the best by a mile.
I listened to all the versions of the JQ theme a few weeks ago and the original one is good but the New Adventures of Johnny Quest theme that was on in the 90's was my favourite.
As old school cartoon fans, we truly thank you, WatchMojo. Oh, and congratulations for reaching 25 million.
😊
no we don't.
Thank you for watching and the comment!
Sailor Moon is one of mine! The English dub from the 90s so iconic
I've been rewatching Futurama and honestly forgot how much of a great opening them that show had.
I've been watching "Futurama" too! I remember all of it.
The scooby doo theme song will always be my favorite I still occasionally listen to the song itself scooby doo was my whole childhood
Many of the other Scooby-Doo cartoons definitely had great theme songs with some of my favorites including "The New Scooby-Doo Movies", "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo", and "What's New, Scooby-Doo?".
@Casey Decker I 100% almost all the variations of it have been good in there own way
Scooby-Doo is my childhood!
@@sonicmario64 I've seen all the theme songs! They're awesome!
How could you miss Voltron, Tailspin and Swatkats. Still insanely catchy today.
I guess they can't squeeze in everything.
@@dreamguardian8320 Fair enough
Tail Spin, for sure!
Also, Johnny Quest, Dexter
I thought talespin was gonna make the list for sure
Ah man the Pokemon theme is always going to get me now for pure nostaglia. And literally the first lyrics of it:
"I want to be the very best like no one ever was!"
Ash is now the very best, and he'll be leaving us...
Zeo Spark 🤔 I’m just curious is that before or after Team Rocket blasting off again when it comes to Pokémon Theme Song?😂
POKEMON IS AN ANIME NOT A CARTOON
I can’t believe it wasn’t #1
FACTS!!!
@@lessismore8533 It's definitely more deserving.
What’s New Scooby Doo is also one of the greatest cartoon theme songs ever. It’s just so 2000’s I love it
by simple plan. they even did a cameo for one of the episodes
It's so catchy! I watched it all the time when I was little.
Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes had a AMAZING into song for a criminally underrated series: Fight as one by Bad City. The Downstait cover is awesome as well.
The Jackie Chan Adventures has an awesome theme by Wheatus but I don’t remember if it was an intro; I mostly remember it playing during the credits.
you could make a top 100 and still forgot songs that someone loves🤣
@@chheinrich8486 true but if you haven’t heard it, it’s going to stay stuck inside your head for days
@@THANATOS-PRIME if your talking about avengers, yes its stuck
Suuuuuch a mood.
Nice
This list brings back memories. Love it. Disappointed that Darkwing Duck (nice honorable mention), Doug, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, and Samurai Jack didn’t make the list.
You know they say Twitter is full of people just making up a person and being mad at them?
I totally did that to myself when I conceptualized a person that prefers the ABC Doug theme song over the Nickelodeon one.
Then I tweeted about it.
I’m pretty sure a top 20 without darkwing duck is a felony in most countries
@@shinykamon188What of the coolest Monsuno theme song it hits hard
Top 20 Highest Grossing Cartoons Of All Time
Very good idea
movies? shows? shows would be a little harder to determine, i'd imagine. Although I think we all know #1 would be Simpsons, #2 Southpark, #3 Family Guy
Misread that as top 20 most gross cartoons of all time
@@Frieowksf1293 that would be Interesting.
😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Silverhawks, COPS, MASK, Spiral Zone, Bionic Six and Galaxy Rangers have all entered the chat. (And just like Thundercats and Jayce, all theme songs that promised more than the shows delivered.)
I saw every episode of Batman the animated series on HBO max. Rest in peace good 'ol Kevin Conroy.
I started watching it on HBO max, and then I just had to get it on dvd for my birthday last year, so once I finish season 1, I plan to watch it through the dvd copy I got for Christmas instead since it's the only reason I use HBO max.
@@bricklover2258 and other than the animated series, Batman beyond was very good
DCAU > MCU. You'd think with the blueprint, DCEU would know how to make a universe of films....
@@thecunninlynguist that's the elephant in the room DC refuses to address. Some of their animated movies are better than actual feature films
@Raheim Choice Justice League Doom, for example, was an awesome movie.
I'm happy to see Darkwing Duck, Gummi Bears got honorable mentions, but Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers should too. Tigersharks had a cool theme too.
The 2000s had a lot of great themes. I always remember the original Ben 10 theme being awesome
Also, Making Fiends and The Replacements.
I always remember watching it, too!
Mew mew power
I was hoping Captain Planet would be there!!!! I can’t argue a single note of this list. Absolutely perfect!!!
The disrespect of leaving out Classic Ben 10's banger theme right here.
It's awesome!
I know right, they also forgot SOOO many 80s bangers
Glad to see Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors mentioned! That song is so epic. Only other one I can think of that wasn’t mentioned is Bobby’s World, that song is pure nostalgia.
The English opening of Sailor Moon is also pretty great.
Pretty much all Anime series have great themes. My favourite is the Ulysses 31 theme
Fighting evil by moonlight, winning love by daylight, never running from a real fight, she is the one named Sailor moon
Soz couldn't help it haha
@@MrQ12elve I don't blame you, it really is catchy
“Fighting evil by moonlight, winning love by daylight” has lived rent free in my head for almost 25 years.
That too, and Kappa Mikey.
Top 3 (In my opinion):
1. Pokemon
2. SpongeBob SquarePants
3. The Simpsons
I loved the theme song from Pokemon so much, it was one of the best things in the franchise and reminded me of how much fun Pokemon was back in the old times and I still love the song to this day (man I miss those days). It was a very tough call for the final spot between Spider-Man, Scooby-Doo Where Are You?, The Simpsons and The Flintstones because they were catchy classics, in the end, it was the Simpsons because it was a longer run of hearing it over and over again compared to the others.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and memories with us.

Hope to hear the X-MEN opening song again when they released the revived series this year .The X-MEN and Spiderman songs from the 90's are hands down the best in my opinion . Still listened to this day .
The Magic School Bus, Where In the World is Carbon San Diego, M.A.S.K., G.I. Joe, Gargoyles, Superman: The Animated Series, Brave Star, and The Real Ghostbusters are theme songs that will get you pumped up.
I've never been more happy to be a 90s baby. Original and awesome cartoons, reruns of awesome earlier decades cartoons (80s and back) and getting to see cartoons evolve (and devolve.)
Though this could apply to anyone too
Same here
Ditto
I'm a 90s baby, too.
"Fairly Odd Parents" and "My Life as a Teenage Robot" were really good and should have been on this list.
The classic Spider-Man opening theme song (1967-1970).
😮
"It's a shame that it hasn't appeared in any live action X-Men movies"
*Danny Elfman would like to have a word with you...*

I'm so happy to see Darkwing Dark and Gummy Bears as honorables 🎖 😍
Is the transformer prime considered a cartoon?
You missed four awesome opening theme songs.
Goof Troop - always brings a smile to my face
Magic School Bus - this show made it fun to learn and how can you ignore "Please let this be a normal field trip!" "With the Frizz? No way!"
Gargoyles - Whether Goliath speaks or not, that melody gives me chills
Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers - how can you have a top anything list and this doesn't get even an honourable mention?
Yes, the Magic School Bus! Also, Hey Arnold, Rugrats, and Rocko's Modern Life.
I'm showing my age but George of the Jungle was both funny and self explanatory. It deserves a place of honor with any cartoon themes.
Amen
Absolutely! Thank you!
_"Watch out for that tree!"_
That one was catchy too.
Weird Al’s cover of it is also great.
I got through most of the list thinking "have they seriously left out the X-men theme?"... but glad to see/hear that you didn't commit such heresy.
My favourite is I Wanna Be Famous from Total Drama, though I think they should have mentioned Chip “n” Dale Rescue Rangers.
I remember the Total Drama Island theme song!
I think Freakazoid's theme song deserves at least an honorable mention ^^ So fun to sing! Oh, and Marsupilami!
Theme tunes like this were such a hallmark of so many of our childhoods in fact I often seem to remember the tune tunes better than the actual programmes themselves
Hot take: Gravity Falls has an incredible intro. Don’t deny it. It’s true.
1. Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids (Na-na-na, gonna have a good time)
2. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe
3. The Jetsons
4. Looney Tunes & Merrie Melodies
5. Jem
6. G.I. Joe
7. Super Friends franchise
I can't believe they didn't mention Chip N Dales Recue Rangers.
Such a memorable childhood memories of the 80s and 90s
@Marco Castillo And to this day, I'm still hoping a reboot or a real-life movie. 6th Day did the Switchblade thing in the beginning of the movie
Agreed.
For me the Samurai Pizza Cats theme song is still one of my all time faves. Also Danger Mouse!
So many amazing childhood memories with all of these 😢
Those were the days 😏
Indeed.
@@darkneon5637 They sure were.
Right
For sure.
Really?! No Mask, The Fraggles, He-Man, Ghostbusters (both versions), Mysterious Cities of Gold, Defenders of the Earth (theme written by Stan Lee!), Pole Position, Denver the Last Dinosaur, Galaxy Rangers (No guts, no glory; more 80s Rock!), and best of all: The Raccoons: "Run with us'!
This list needs a part 2!!! ^^
Spongebob's Intro Song is the best in my oppinion. And the funniest.
My fav hands down was Danny Phantom. Who didn’t want to rap along? 🙌🏽😭
The Adams Family theme song hits hard and keeps hitting 😅😂🤣
I would like to mention the following
Huntik: Secrets and Seekers
Wild Kratts
Generator Rex
Iron Man Armored Adventures
Garfield & Friends
Quack Pack
Lego Ninjago
And for the same reason that they included DragonBall and Pokemon on this list, I'm mentioning the old Shaman King show.
I also really like the "What's New Scooby Doo" theme song. It's a cool updated version that really makes me sing along
I think it's underrated
The X-Men theme did appear in the Multiverse of Madness, or at least the opening part. When Xavier came out the song played and there was a collective squeal among the audience.
They definitely went when I saw it, too.
Did you know the theme was used again in Episode 6 of Ms. Marvel
uh! there’s a video with my fav voice doing the countdown, and there’s something we’re twinning on! Rebeca, if you’re reading this, we def gotta connect, cause you’re just a big kid and toon fan yourself! I can tell.
You should have added one of the opening themes from Jem and The Holograms.
Open a book?
I'm glad Wheeled Warriors theme got a mention. They went above a beyond on that theme. No way did it have to be that good, but it is. 🙌
The ending theme was even more amazing!
I feel genuinely sick that Phineas and Ferb wasn't on this list
Yup.
I know that is disgraceful phineas and ferb is not only a great show but the theme song is also great
Pokémon not being #1 is a crime
The dangermouse theme tune is one of the greatest ever
A total travesty that it isn't on the list, but what do you expect? Americans!
It's funny that you mention "Danger Mouse" because I started thinking that the theme from "Count Duckula" was probably a little obscure to be on the list, but DM was pretty cool too!
congratulations WatchMojo on 25 million subscribers!
Thank you!!
Can't forget about an all time classic: The Smurfs
I remember it! I watched it once as a kid.
The 90's were hands down the golden age of cartoons
00s
Nowadays the animation is so weird. I’m wondering if I would’ve liked the old stuff as a kid today. Considering the fact that most of what I watched was old Looney Tunes cartoons, I’m guessing I would have.
The Gravity Falls theme song is one of my favorites. I was hoping it would be somewhere on this list
Contact me for your reward👆🎁 🎁.
Damn, thought ChalkZone would at least be an honorable mention. The catchy rock music along with the lyrics made it pretty catchy lol.
My number 1? Dangermouse!
Any UK kid on the 80s would remember it.
And Irish kids as well.
I'm American and I watched Dangermouse all the time as a kid in the 80s.
@@ScottieContact Good to hear, I didn't want to assume it had been sold abroad, especially since it has a very British sense of humour from memory.
@@Tlotoxl Would you be surprised to know that I also watched Benny Hill as a kid as well? 😂😂
@@ScottieContact LOL! yes I would, given it probably the first UK show to be cancelled for not being PC, being seen as embarrassing and outdated at the time.
As a child of the 80's and 90's I approve
The best cartoon opening theme songs between 1960s and 2010s.
😊
The 80s is the best, not only for music intros but also for Musician's songs.
I'm Surprised the theme for Chip 'N Dale rescue Rangers didn't make the list. Also Captain Planet's them deserves more then an Honourable mention.
Ed Edd N' Eddy and Aqua Teen Hunger Force are the best cartoon Theme songs
Agreed they deserved a mention
Same here, bro.
Maybe you could do variations like Top Nickelodeon theme songs, Top Disney Channel theme songs, Top Cartoon Network theme songs, etc.
Honorable mention; Pirates of Dark Water. This show deserved far better, and it's theme was so good. It absolutely nails that grand adventure feeling that so many shows rarely get right. The fact that it's got narration rather than song lyrics just adds to it, making it feel like a story unfolding.
Every time my Canadian friend says "Loonie" when talking about money, I always start singing the Tiny Toon theme. He absolutely hates it.
Kim Possible's art style always bugged me. Only having an upper lip always made me think they had thick mustaches. I know that's not the case, but it's stuck in my head.
Thundercats' opening is one I love. I wish it had more episodes or a faithful and worthy modern version, but it's a cursed series in that regard.
The original English Pokemon theme is so damn good. None of the English openings from later series have ever compared to this one.
Scooby has had a ton of great openings, but the original is just too perfect. Shame the series is being dragged through the mud nowadays.
What?? No Masters of the Universe??? The iconic "I have the power!" resonates in my soul. WatchMojo, you dropped the ball on this one!
I was expecting Sonic X to be on the list because the theme song feels like a Sonic track and let’s everyone know Sonic’s gotta go fast
Yeah that sure would've been a great one to be included on this list, definitely deserved to be in the top 10.
It's awesome!
Thanks for including Pokémon. Sure it’s a Japanese anime show, but the original English theme song for the show is awesome. Nothing’s wrong with the Japanese version’s theme song either
Did you miss The Jetsons
I watch that show!
I've seen the Arthur, Kim Possible, SpongeBob SquarePants, Inspector Gadget, The Flintstones, the Danny Phantom, the Scooby-Doo, Where Are You, Teen Titans, and The Simpsons theme song. I enjoyed them! Only, I didn't hum to the Inspector Gadget one and I have not seen The Simpsons theme song from the 80s. This video refreshed my memory on some of the theme songs I've seen long ago.
Mucha Lucha, Spectacular Spiderman, Ben 10... those were bangers
The criminal offense is NOT mentioning Rescue Rangers and/or Talespin. FOR SHAME.
WatchMojo, congratulations for having 25 million subscribers!
🎉🎉🎉
2000s kids know Phineas and Ferb and the Magic School Bud should be on here
Im sorry, but personally there is one opening theme that reigns supreme for me above any other:
There’s a 104 days of summer vacation-
Then school comes along just to end it
Phineas and Ferb!
I never thought Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors would have made this list. I was so surprised to see it - even as only an honourable mention! Bravo! All the Disney Afternoon songs were great - but you really nailed it with #1. An infinitely catchy tune. Great list!
Also really liked the first Sonic the Hedgehog and the ‘90s Fantastic Four.
So many nostalgia😍😍😍😍
You also forgot to mention that Power Rangers creator Haim Saban (along with his executive producer Shuki Levy) composed the theme to Inspector Gadget. Great video Watchmojo 😁👍🏻
I got introduced to Thundercats thanks to the 2011 version. And it's a really good version.
Not as good as the old classic.
The Sailor moon theme for the original dub was a pretty big earworm
Also I loved the gummi bears and loved the fact that the theme song was quoted in the revived 2020's duck tales finale, loved that easter egg.
I love listening to these cartoon theme songs!

Histeria, Totally Spies, Winx club, Sandokan, Biker Mice from Mars are among my favorite themes that are not listed here 😇
One of the key parts to making a memorable cartoon is to make a contagiously catchy theme song.
You have to have alliteration, rhyme, rhythm, but also don't forget to have time to introduce the whole premise in a couple of lyrics.
For example, we have the Animaniacs theme, which introduces the entire show's plot and most of it's cast in a quick jaunty second.
Or, if you're choosing no lyrics, that works too as you can show the plot and/or the cast in a quick second without a word.
An example of that type of theme is the Invader Zim theme song, where you see Zim get kicked into his ship by the Tallest, and then a short second of introducing the rest of the cast and their personalities.
We get a look at Zim's base, Dib rises up from the screen with a glare in his eye, Gaz doesn't want to be there, and GIR crashes into the screen because he's crazy.
And to end it, we see Zim dreaming of talking over the world, along with his trademark cackling. Cue show title.
Both shows mentioned have cult followings, and are very iconic because of their array of characters, memorable moments, and lastly their catchy themes.
First time I've watched a redone list of a past one where they've given the top spot to the same entry both times. Congrats on consistency!
This list was great, and it was great to see that one of my favorite childhood cartoons almost ended up at number 1 because on most cartoon lists, it is always overlooked. That being spectacular Spiderman from 2008 to 2009 which unfortunately got cut short.

The "Spider-Man" cartoon series theme song would definitely not be featured on the Number 1 spot on my list because I was never able to hear it growing up as a kid, since I actually grew up watching the 1994 cartoon series instead, and the top spot would go to either "DuckTales" or "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles".
Inspector Gadget, The Flinstones, Pokemon, Scooby-Doo, Where are you? and Spider-Man all deserve respect. But you forgot one, The Magic School Bus!
Speaking of x-men and Danny Elfman, the composer used the tune of the cartoon when professor Xavier appears in the second Doctor Strange movie
You could of filled this list with almost all the old Disney toons: Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers…
My childhood Danny phantom 😍👻
"BTAS isn't a theme song we go around singing all day"
Speak for yourself..
Warner Bros Shows including Looney Tunes in the 90s, has a high chance of being classic and the Animaniacs Theme is also perfect theme because it includes some of the slightly more became so well-liked including jokes making fun of the show itself.
This just proves why 80/90’s cartoons are the pinnacle of cartoodom and I want my childhood back 😢
