I remember the original list was one of the first vids I watched from you, so this new version was definitely an interesting look into how your tastes have changed.
Imo, Chip'n Dale has one of the greatest theme songs of all time. In my book, not even Ducktales can reach it. Another theme song that gets me really pumped up would be "Warrior", the intro-song for "She-Ra and the Princesses of Power" - really good beat, great vocals, an interesting use of choir, and it never loses its punch. And that might be personal bias, but I also get chills from the European W.I.T.C.H. theme - that little chime at the beginning that gives room to a rock anthem... I especially like the remix they did for Season 2, including new visuals that better show the whole scope of that series.
Happy to see you made an updated version of the best cartoon theme songs, especially since as you pointed out, the original video was blocked for copyright. Although, someone's reaction video to your original best theme songs video still exists.
I definitely agree with you choosing the Magic School Bus over Arthur. While Arthur has a nice tone that fits the slice of life style of the show, the Magic School Bus is just more fun to listen to. Also, I would've recommended the Sonic X theme over Sonic Underground (it even became a meme due to its banger sound), but then I remembered your "no anime" rule.😑
His definition of anime was a bit arbitrary. I assume that if it was made in Japan entirely, then it's anime. Because, Cybersix was produced by a Canadian animation, but animated by a Japanese studio, hence why it looks like anime. By that logic, Cyberpunk Edgerunners (written by CDPR, but animated by Trigger, a Japanese studio). Its not the style either, as Code Lyoko looks very Japanese. But Panty and Stalking (whole Japanese cartoon) is not mentioned. But each their own. Must have have to cut the list somehow.
I was hoping to see Cyber 6 on this list but I never knew it would be that high on the list. I love that theme so much as well as the design of the show from the characters to the setting. As for the animation, I've never seen so much work go into a piece of cloth before.
An honorable mention would probably be the intro for the original G.I Joe cartoon (although this might be more narration then song). It does a great job getting me pumped up, although the animation probably helps with that in a similar way to M.A.S.K. On a side note, I think that G.I Joe does the “modern tech and future tech” style really well.
What’s funny about the Amphibia intro, there is a version with lyrics. The creator went with the instrumental version because he thought the lyrical version didn’t fit the show. He liked how the lyrics sounded though, so they still made it in an episode as an Easter egg
SpongeBob, Sonic X, Ben 10, Fairly OddParents, Arthur, Duck Dodgers and The Magic School Bus will always be my absolute favorite Cartoon themes song. If only The TMNT 2012 Theme Song was mentioned, it always got me hyped up!
I'm so glad you remade yhis list. From the better editing, Amphibia getting on, and someone FINALLY gave Sonic Undergrounds theme a chance. Great video Enter!
So many great theme songs acknowledged here. I am especially happy about Amphibia as the only instrumental entry here. I feel like it is often overshadowed by it's older sibling, Gravity Falls and it's much more popular same-age sibling Owl House. But it is actually my favorite Disney Channel show to date (more so than Kim Possible) and I am eager to hear Enter's thoughts when he finally drops that video!
DuckTales '17 and Cybersix are my top two favourite theme songs, so happy Cybersix ranked at Number one this time. Also, here's a fun fact. On the topic of "Really that's musician sang this theme song", thought it didn't make the list, The Adventures of the Gummi Bears theme song was sung by the frontman of Toto, and apparently he is also the son of film composer John Williams, himself the son of a Jazz drummer, Johnny Williams.
This is a great list! One song I think you’d like though is the theme song from The Trap Door, an old British cartoon from the 80s. It’s got a pretty short but really catchy theme song, it’s like Mr. Meaty combined with Wheeled Warriors.
2:41 If memory serves, I think he also sang the theme song for 007 Thunderball. Also, I'm surprised you didn't mention the Chip n' Dale 2022 theme, would have been interesting to hear your thoughts on it compared to the original. ... And I completely agree with you on the number 1 pick. It really feels like this song is truly trying to say something.
I am so proud of you for the Scooby-Doo joke in that entry that I won't spoil here, I was just waiting for that to happen. Also while Mystery Incorporated is the best Scooby-Doo show technically, it's number 3 for me. What's New Scooby-Doo has yet to be topped and I love the original too much even to this day.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987) or (2012) really should have been on the list. Also Spectacular Spider-Man just always hypes me up and sounds amazing.
My favorite themes are Wander Over Yonder (always makes me happy when I hear it), Samurai Jack (catchy as hell) and Buzz Lightyear of Star Command (really epic sounding). Also, even if I don't really watch it, I like the Ghost and Molly McGee theme too, given that it always gets stuck in my head. Edit: OH! Total Drama! That's a theme that gets me hyped too!
Man, this list brought back quite a few memories. I completely agree with What’s New, Scooby-Doo having the best theme song of the series, and Code Lyoko’s theme never fails to give me shivers. On top of that, there’s a bunch of themes on here that I’ve never heard before, but I can definitely hear the merits. Great list overall.
Funnily enough, YOU were the one that really got me into the Cybersix theme song in your original video, and I still listen to it all of the time almost a decade later.
I swear, Code Lyoko's theme sends my brain into another dimension. I didn't even watch it THAT much, as a kid, but I remember getting annoyed if I missed the opening theme. As an adult, I watch a truckload of anime, and I pay close attention to their opening themes. Funny how the things you love often start years, or decades, earlier than you thought.
@@SeathThePawn I agree. Took me all the way until last year to watch Eva for the first time, and I never once skipped the OP. That sucker is something special, all its own.
I first discovered the cybersix theme song thanks to you and the 2013 version of this video… 10 years later, it’s still one of my favorite cartoon theme songs of all time.
Omg, getting slapped with Code Lyoko right in the beginning while you were talking gave me a rush of Nostalgia. Edit: Yes! Justice for the Sonic Underground theme! It's sooo good! Edit 2: Seeing Code Lyoko on the list officially made my day, thank you 🥲
Fun Fact: Thrash metal legend and founder of Megadeth Dave Mustaine had a guest role in an episode of Duck Dodgers and he composed some music for it. He approached the producers of the show with an offer of doing a guest spot on the show because his son was a huge fan and he thought it would be cool for his kid to see dad on a cartoon show.
I love the sheer variety of themes on the list. I do wish you would have talked about the songs that made the original list but didn't make this one and why they didn't hold up.
I actually know a little about M.A.S.K. You aren't wrong to notice the similarity to Transformers, since M.A.S.K. was also based on a line of Hasbro toys involving transforming cars. But instead of licensed Japanese super robots, the line consisted of original toy designs that turn from normal cars into super sci-fi vehicles.
In my opinion, if your theme song has me really wanting an official extended version (aka Amphibia's & Wayside's Theme) then you know you've truly succeeded in making such a great theme.
If your theme song has me listening to a 3 hour loop of it (Amphibia's) then it is a truly great theme. Or, fuck, even going back to it when I need a boost writing something (Ducktales, woo-oo!)
1:25 Awww but Gargoyles had such a badass theme even without the narration. 15:49 Personally I think both songs belong in this spot. But yeah, there's a good reason why no one says anything good about Sonic Underground. 21:32 Well yeah when you give a Take Over to the 2017 Glomgold who was written to be as ridiculous and over the top as much as possible (he's voiced by Keith "Lord Hater" Ferguson for crying out loud!) of course it's going to be priceless. They even used it for the opening to the Glomtales episode of the show. 25:20 Wasn't expecting that one. Honestly I wouldn't mind if this show got a reboot on two conditions: 1) More steampunk elements. I'm a sucker for steampunk westerns. And 2) Have it done by the guys who did the 2012 TMNT show. They're the only ones I trust with an old forgotten relic like this. 28:41 I'm going to give a hot take here: I honestly think CL's theme works better as an instrumental. I am not big on the lyrics or the person singing. 32:17 AWW MAN! That one should've made it!
You mentioning Dragon Tales having a great theme song alone made me like this video. Can’t wait for a code lyoko review, this show is both rightfully beloved and unfairly forgotten.
All the classic 2000s cartoons on nickelodeon, Disney/JX and especially cartoon network theme songs along with a handful of 2010s cartoons and even most power rangers themes has stuck with me at now age 24 Goes to show how much music targeted to kids or teens stick with them into adulthood.
Martin Mystery is what Amphibia's theme song is to you! I adore the music, the rock parts are awesome and the images are pretty! It doesn't need lyrics to explain the characters or the monsters, just a cool music. This is enough to make me happy 😀
These are very great picks for best themes, in addition to the ones playing in the background. I’ll definitely need to give CyberSix a watch. For me though, the best cartoon intro will always be the classic Thomas and Friends theme from the first 7 seasons. It’s way too memorable to ignore.
Ngl the 80s was the best decade for cartoon theme songs, even though cartoons at the time were mostly made to sell toys. I also didn't know Billy Dean covered Dave Mason's "We Just Disagree".
Number 12 with Ben 10 took me back. I was in elementary school when the show first came out and I loved it, and yes part of me wished it was number 10 just for that.
Damn seeing the mysticons intro again was a blast from the past. I remember watching it (out of order) back when I was younger. My animation teacher was actually one of the special effects animators for the show, so that also gave me a greater appreciation towards it. Still, it’s been a while since I last heard of it so it’s neat to see more people find out about it.

For me it's the 90s "Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego?" cartoon theme. Singers went hard on that one.
Apparently, they used a Mozart piece for part of the instrumentals.
@@BlazeHeartPanther Also, I love the characters! Especially CHIEF!
Great theme but I feel that it doesn't beat the game show's theme.
@@motxmod can't argue with you there, but the game show's not a cartoon
Duck Dodgers took me right back to my childhood, I remember watching every episode with my brother.
I’m glad you add the mysticons in the list, their theme song was actually a bop during high school. I’m surprised you didn’t add Total drama Island, My life as a teenage robot, P&F, recess, gravity falls , Ed Edd Eddy, Jimmy Neutron or Teen Titans
I remember the original list was one of the first vids I watched from you, so this new version was definitely an interesting look into how your tastes have changed.
You should look at the Kick Buttowski theme it's kinda feels like an upgraded version of the chalk zone intro
The duck dodgers theme was Sung by none other than Tom Jones who also appeared in an episode in the show.
Epic!
Indeed
Happy to see you made an updated version of the best cartoon theme songs, especially since as you pointed out, the original video was blocked for copyright. Although, someone's reaction video to your original best theme songs video still exists.
ruclips.net/video/nZ7V7zUn88c/видео.html
I re-uploaded the original version
I see that now. You are doing God's work.
You sound... happier than before. I'm not sure what it is, but I hope it's true.
This video flows a lot better than the original.
I’m glad you shouted out MASK, I have a lot of fond memories playing with those toys, and watching the show with my mad dog of an uncle.
I enjoy this consistent upload schedule you've had recently.
I was hoping to see Cyber 6 on this list but I never knew it would be that high on the list. I love that theme so much as well as the design of the show from the characters to the setting. As for the animation, I've never seen so much work go into a piece of cloth before.
Well, holy shit. I love Cybersix, show and song. I did not expect it to make it to number 1 this go around, though. The comic is FANTASTIC, too.
35:08 That right here has to be Teletoon's biggest blunder. Mega Babies getting more production than Cybersix is a war crime.
I'm so glad you remade yhis list. From the better editing, Amphibia getting on, and someone FINALLY gave Sonic Undergrounds theme a chance. Great video Enter!
28:40 Just wanna say that was a very smooth transition
@@BlazeHeartPanther Trust me, I would've written something this long about DuckTales, You're good.
I remember finding out that the Rocko’s Modern Life theme was performed by the B-52s at one point.
This is a great list! One song I think you’d like though is the theme song from The Trap Door, an old British cartoon from the 80s. It’s got a pretty short but really catchy theme song, it’s like Mr. Meaty combined with Wheeled Warriors.
2:41
If memory serves, I think he also sang the theme song for 007 Thunderball.
That's a theme that gets me hyped too!
i ADORE the total drama theme 💕 well, i love the first few instalments as a whole, but man the theme is rad lmao
Wander Over Yonder's theme is good because it's crazy and upbeat while being annoying just like Wander himself!
Honestly, I just love that Twelve Forever is on the list. And Cybersix. That's an amazing cartoon
Shame not even an honorable mention for Kim Possible
I know right or even Proud Family
Missing Code Lyoko's opening felt along the lines of if you missed Neon Genesis Evangelion's opening. It was just WRONG on a fundamental level to me.
@@SeathThePawn
I agree. Took me all the way until last year to watch Eva for the first time, and I never once skipped the OP. That sucker is something special, all its own.
Code Lyoko Top 3 thank you. Very good theme song and I love this show. Still holds up.
What's New Scooby-Doo man one of my favorite bands Simple Plan.
I like how in the honorable mentions, since the Mr. Meaty theme was so short, they just showed the whole thing.
I was specifically looking at that previous 2013 video and wow just realized you made a new one just recently
I'm surprised the "All Grown Up" theme isn't on here.
I first discovered the cybersix theme song thanks to you and the 2013 version of this video… 10 years later, it’s still one of my favorite cartoon theme songs of all time.
Same
Glad to see you've gotten around to remaking this video, copyright is a bitch though lmao
Glad to see some love for the Ducktales reboot theme song. I love that theme.
Omg, getting slapped with Code Lyoko right in the beginning while you were talking gave me a rush of Nostalgia.
Edit: Yes! Justice for the Sonic Underground theme! It's sooo good!
Edit 2: Seeing Code Lyoko on the list officially made my day, thank you 🥲
Fun Fact:
Thrash metal legend and founder of Megadeth Dave Mustaine had a guest role in an episode of Duck Dodgers and he composed some music for it.
The editing in your videos are improving.
I heard those first few notes of the Mysticons theme and I was already ready to rock out!
I adore your energy in this video, man. You're glowing!
The Sonic Underground theme being on the list makes me really happy.
An Amphibia review would be wonderful also gotta love how you added yes really to the Mr. Meaty theme song in parentheses
You mentioning Dragon Tales having a great theme song alone made me like this video. Can’t wait for a code lyoko review, this show is both rightfully beloved and unfairly forgotten.
30:55 THIS is why I think its stupid to not see a movie or show just because of ONE thing that ONE person did.
Awesome list glad i grew up with some of these shows.
All the classic 2000s cartoons on nickelodeon, Disney/JX and especially cartoon network theme songs along with a handful of 2010s cartoons and even most power rangers themes has stuck with me at now age 24
Goes to show how much music targeted to kids or teens stick with them into adulthood.
The fact neither Lilo and Stitch nor Recess even got so much as an honorable mention is just an abomination. A really whompin' abomination.
EXCUSE YOU?!?!
Martin Mystery is what Amphibia's theme song is to you! I adore the music, the rock parts are awesome and the images are pretty! It doesn't need lyrics to explain the characters or the monsters, just a cool music. This is enough to make me happy 😀
I can’t believe it’s been ten years since the first list! Time really goes by fast, huh?
Spectacular Spider man theme needs to be here!
These are very great picks for best themes, in addition to the ones playing in the background. I’ll definitely need to give CyberSix a watch. For me though, the best cartoon intro will always be the classic Thomas and Friends theme from the first 7 seasons. It’s way too memorable to ignore.
Look up the English/French Mashup of the Code Lyoko theme, its pure bliss.
Ngl the 80s was the best decade for cartoon theme songs, even though cartoons at the time were mostly made to sell toys. I also didn't know Billy Dean covered Dave Mason's "We Just Disagree".
one of my personal favorite theme songs is Into the Unknown from Over the Garden Wall :D
Great and fun list :)
Over The Garden Wall just has a good soundtrack
we have Into The Unknown, The Beast Is Out There and Come Wayward Souls!
Listening to Hero Elementary only made me think of WordGirl which has a GREAT theme song.
W.i.t.c.h has an awesome themesong
Cool thanks for a recommendation
@CALOKIFILM So's Code Lyoko. What's your point?
2:40 it's sung by Tom Jones, who also did a song from a James Bond movie, "Thunderball," to which the Duck Dodgers theme song is a parody of.
Very good list I loved both versions and you have come a long way in production Value good job dude.🎉😊
thoughts on this:
1. Duck Dodgers is part of my childhood, so seeing it here was a nostalgia bomb
2. Amphibia's theme has major Tropical Freeze-era David Wise vibes and i love it
3. The Magic Schoolbus' theme may just be why i love swing music these days
4. nobody told you about Sonic Underground cuz it's a *fuckin meme*
5. ngl Code Lyoko's theme sounds like a Sonic level set in a Solarpunk Utopia
6. ok where the fresh Protestant HELL is FiM's theme? at the *very least* the Italian version's a *bop,* never you mind th Japanese version...
gettin reeeeeaaaal sick of you trying to cut that part of your past off. you did that, *own it already ya palooka*
Great stuff dude. This really brightened my day.
The Cleveland Show deserved a mention at least
A few of my favourites you didn’t mention:
The Adventures of Blinky Bill
Lil Elvis Jones and the Truckstoppers
Tangled: The Series
Milo Murphy’s Law
Darkwing Duck
The Adventures of the Gummi Bears
The Twins of Destiny
Honestly for bubble boy I don't think it's so bad. The measure of a superpower is *how* you use it, to cite the manga My Hero Academia, the #3 hero in the world has the superpower of controlling clothing fiber, one that took him years of practise and training to master falling under (difficult but awesome) and since bubble boy showed he can fly, or at least hover, using his bubbles I think his powerset will be a test of creativity
