I think there is a round gasket that needs to be installed in the new downpipe, doesnt look like you put it in. Did you see if your stock one had it installed on the vclamp side of the downpipe?
I don’t think it has one. I changed my 2021 m340i downpipe too and it never had one. The old or new one. It makes no change
I hate they robbed us of the pops and bangs on the 2021 model. 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ picking mines up this week.

How come those pops and bangs can’t be coded or tuned back in?

seems like that heat shield is for the COA and not the DP
How long did your check engine light come on for? And did it go away on its own? Looking to purchase the high flow catted but mine is a 2020 model.
So! My CEL is still currently on with the high flow pipes! I’m going to try a Fowler and do a video on that see if it works soon!!
usually a stage 2 tune gets rid of the cel.
@@NRSTINTSOUTH how long did it take for ur cell to show up ? For example if flash my tune back to stock, how long will it take for the cell show up. Because if it doesn’t pop up right away I can just unflash my tune right before going in for service
@@shelbyhaiketic4212 just so you know if you are putting it back to stock for warranty purposes your car is already flagged, about a year ago all bmw service centers got update to their systems where whenever they plug to just check things even at normal oil change not diagnostics or anything, it will already look for tune etc manipulation and flag your car right away so they might not say anything but when something breaks good luck getting warranty to work lol

You forgot to install the gasket on the downpipe
I think the 2021s don’t have a gasket. I remember when I took mine off and installed a new one I was freaking out because it had none. It doesn’t need one😂

Nobody has tuned a 2021 yet. Bosch put a different dme in 2021 that is supposed guaranteed not to be able to be tuned. So bm3 will work on a 2020 but not a 2021
If we just add an intake and a down pipe like this, is that ok? ...Not looking for crazy power , just mainly want those bolt ons for the sound and whatever power increase they offer.
@@Oni-One it's really hard to say for sure if it's safe cause the bmw fuel management is finicky. It'll run fine and most likely be safe. Best to run a catted down pipe since unable to tune.
@@ClaytonYatescarenthusiast Thanks... Yeah, I will be running a high flow catted down pipe and intake. Will consult with a shop prior to install tho just to make sure it's all good.
@@Oni-One yeah it’s ok but u won’t get any power increase. You’ll also get a cel for the aftermarket downpipe. To get rid of it you need a tune
quite informative video! tho wish if theres video how you figure out fooling the o2 sensor not just simply turning off the cel by coding.
Just run an O2 spacer on the second O2 sensor and it should take the code off

i know people usually tune it after getting a dp and are able to clear the cel

Routing of your cables over the pipe is wrong. They will melt there,
8:40 i think the way you hold your tool and the downpipe is wrong, so maybe thats why you broke your previous ones lol
