I guess VRSF did some update to their B58 downpipe, now with the supporting bracket, and hopefully they fix the O.D pipe going to midpipe. Their previous version downpipe was a tad too big and won't fit midpipe without the use of a pipe expander tool, almost every buyer of the old downpipe was complaining about this issue.
Im having this installed this week! I got my M240 almost 2 weeks ago. I have an intake on and I can’t wait to hear it with the downpipe on!. Hopefully within a month or 2 I can flash it
I don’t want drone in mines, is that a good setup? I’m getting a catless downpipe and I was thinking of deleting my muffler and deleting one resonator but keeping the other to avoid drone. Or just delete the muffler.
@@NoClutchGarage alright i appreciate it also how hard is it to reach the o2 sensors before taking off the downpipe, i heard its much easier taking them off before?
How can I remove the check engine light regarding the downpipe/custom exhuast fabrications? Is there a way to remove the codding ONLY for the exhuast part and not the check engine entirely? Is there a sensory cap I cam plug in to trick the system? (2018 BMW 230i F22) PLEASE HELP 🙏🏼🙈
Impressive, changing it without normal lift is very creative. I had downpipe installed, but after 3000 km I downgraded it back to the stock one because of smell. Every time when I stoped on the traffic lightI - I was feeling this smell (even with closed windows). I could imaging what people in the car behind me was feeling. Wonder if sport cat can solve it?
A pain to take that job on without a lift. No anti-seize on your O2 sensor threads? A pipe expander tool is recommended to get the mid-pipe back on easier. For the catless pipes, suggest use of the 90 degree M18x1.5 mini catalytic CEL bung adapter plug spacer for O2 sensor- even sold on Amazon. A high flow 200 cell catted pipe better for daily routine street use with less smell imho. I really wanna do this to my leased 540i... but don't want to be on the hook for reversing it out at lease return.
When I switched out my downpipe for the careless downpipe there was a loud rattling sound coming from the downpipe and it only happens on cold start is there any reason for that
I have a catless dp for my b58 with mg flasher stage 1. Scared about boost creep, have you heard anything about this or can you give any advice? Will I run into boost creep with this setup? Thanks
Well I guess it depends, I thought Wagner only produced catted down pipes, if that’s something you’re looking for then that may be the best option for you
Haha, I don’t work at EuroMpire, I’m a brand ambassador for the shop and I have a great relationship with them, they’re great people, but you are correct I do live in the Charlotte area.
Nice content, like always, vrsf or racewekers ??, quality is really good on both, CTS intake on its way by the way 😜, milltek catback or scorpion ??? milltek has 2 tubes from the downpipe to the backbox, instead of just one pipe for the scorpion, don't know which one to get. What's your catback setup ??
I’m stock from the downpipe back. Looking at the DINAN midpipes though. VRSF and Racewerks are both good, it’s up to preference at that point but VRSF seems to have a wider pipe...
What’s up man I purchased a downpipe for my 240 but it doesn’t have the small bracket that the two bolts go through do you think this would be an issue
Just curious how many VBand tightening fittings are they that attach DP to turbo flange? 2 or 3 ....torque specs? And specs for bracket bolts and bolts that attach DP to midpipe? Thx man
Do you get the little rattle sound when you start up the car during cold start ? I installed a ER catless dp and the cold start makes the exhaust rattle wondering if it's the same with vsrf
@@jordy652 it's because it's a cat-less down-pipe which will not pass a state emission test and throw a engine light. NoClutch Garage if we were talking catted I agree 100%. As far as catless goes, my original statement stands. It’s just a hollow tube. This was confirmed by multiple tuner shops and lots of online research.
Did you remove the ring in the stock down pipe and put it on the vrsf one or not because I did mine and I didn’t put it on and I was wondering if it’s okay?
That catless downpipe really wakes the car up. It sounds so good too!

it also has an issue with hitting the support underneath and rattling, mine has this issue, there isnt enough clearance no matter how you put it on
I have heard of this issue!

Did the VRSF pipe come with a new gasket installed or did you use the old one? Not sure if I saw that step in the video.
No it dont

Yes always
Hey quick question. Looking to do this install on my g22 How did you get jack stands in place? Cant seem to find my front central jack point
There are jack points along the sides and as far as s a front central jack point I just placed the jack stand on the subframe.

Sport cat is definitely better for smell
You had an exhaust leak. You shouldn't smell anything in the vehicle
Is the cat less version better than the catted ?
Less restriction = More flow
I want this for the 440i vrsf downpipe vrsf chargepipe , coldair intake and an bm3 ecu tune stage 2 what do u think of that ?
The goal is 420+ hp.
Don’t do cold air intake, just stick to a drop in filter to avoid heat soak. Drop in filter, catless DP, stage 2 bm3 you’ll be 430-450
@@b58xcv64 thanks i also been told to tune the transmission with the xhp stage 3

Good video brother! I might have to do this
When I switched out my downpipe for the careless downpipe there was a loud rattling sound coming from the downpipe and it only happens on cold start is there any reason for that
It’s probably hitting a heat shield or the subframe
Will this interfere with the smog test in California?
Yes
Ewwwww why live in California
If I don't want a tune, isn't a midpipe a lot simplier?
Not simpler but a good alternative in terms of sound not in terms of flow
If I were to get a high flow catted downpipe, could I pass smog still? Since I do have cats.
Yes
After installing the downpipe, did you have the CEL come on? Is a tune required?
Yes a tune is required! You can use O2 Sensor spacers but they’re not very efficient solutions.
@@NoClutchGarage Great! Thanks!
I hear about an exhaust expansion tool being required for the DP to fit into the exhaust. Other folks experienced this?
Depending on how tight your midpipe opening is. I had to open mine up a few mm.

Tune

Yes

Catless
