I disagree. I distance myself to 1) stay grounded and get perspective, 2) protect my feelings if I don't feel "safe" enough to express them yet and 3) if I don't want to be vulnerable and get my heart broken/get my hopes up... again! A girl can only take so much heartache. The moment I feel "comfortable" is the exact moment I get distant. It's fear. My mind says, protection, protection, protection... It's one *million* times worse if the guy hasn't explicitly stated, I'm into you. Why? Because you're not mine yet and I can't give you my heart to hold just yet...
@@isiahcurry1593 Yes, I realize that. I just got really passionate about this topic. As a woman, I wanted to provide a different perspective in case there's some guy that's watching this video, thinking the woman isn't into him. My goal was to give somebody out there, hope ♡
@@briattnybrittany6843 Hey This is currently going on right now she told me that I was giving her feelings and shes not trying to get those which i respect. she texted me to have a good day I never responded back and she no longer even looks at me or acknowledges me at work. the only time she even looks is when she knows im not looking. Im giving her her space because she says she cuts people off so im curious to see how would you let that guy in whats the best approach im not here to hurt this women the worlds done that enough to her.
If she wants to stay, she will stay. if she wants to go, she will go. having distance is hard on some people, but not having distance can be just as hard for others. its all about compromise. be honest, **listen**, put forth a valiant effort. and stay positive if its what you truly want in life. don't become distracted by a possible failure or a "plan B".
She texted me that she needs to distance herself from me after I asked her out. I decided to not text her back and give her space, this kind of hurt after she told me but I got to be strong and see what happens. I must give her space and only time will tell what will happen between us :/
@ guys: I often distance myself because I have been in too many "relationships" (or, rather, situationships) where the guy become distant once he wins me over (even if it takes him months and months to get to me) and i HATE that so before you distance yourself from me; ill distance myself from you.
If she said she likes you but is doing nothing, ignoring you, placing you on hold because her personal issues are more important, needs to do her nails, it doesn't matter. Actions speak louder than words. If someone distances themselves or plays games or is uncertain and comes back it wouldn’t be healthy anyway. They'll see you accept that behavior or just move on and do it to someone else. Some people are just immature and selfish. Judge people for who they are not who you want them to be, it will eliminate a lot of heartache.
Yes. I distance because something was said that I didn’t like, and I don’t feel that talking about it will result in a resolution that will keep me wanting to see you.
I distance my self out of fear I disappoint the person and normally leave a relationship just because I don't think I'm worth the persons time I have lost 12 good relationships because of my issue trying to work on it
There is a girl that I dated, and we broke up a while back, but for some reason I like her even more now even though she likes someone else now, and I have no idea how to stop liking her. I think she is literally the most perfect girl, and I can't like anyone else.
Only way is to be with someone else, which you will think is something you don't want to do, and something which won't change your feelings, until you've actually been with the new girl for over 2 weeks, then she magically matters less.
100% true. I distanced myself because he judged me in so many ways… and especially when he makes fun of my broken English(English is my 4th language), 😢. He hurt my feelings.
Got back with an ex last month, haven’t heard from her in 9 days. She’s been dealing with a lot in her personal life. Am I wasting my time or should I continue to stay silent.
My sister have been distancing herself from me recently due to some things I’ve said that I shouldn’t have but I did apologize for it but she’s still keeping her distance, should I give her space?
Dating a girl that just recently broke up with her boyfriend. I'm not close to her ex bf but he knows me and does look up to me in a way. If anything was to happen, how should I deal with it?
Gaffa Tape and a shovel! Make sure she's truly over him and that he knows it, then he just has to deal with it, be careful that she won't do the same to you.
emilysangiamo we do that because we don’t want to push things too fast and it may scare you, that’s what I do at least because I don’t want to be like yea this is my girlfriend and she looks at me like noooooo were just talking that would be hella embarrassing
When do we actually know we're in a relationship, exactly?????????????? 5th date??? After sex??? Or is it when we meet each other's family and stuff????
Alright RUclips community! This is weird and awkward but I need your help. Me and this girl at work became friends outside of work and we got really close really fast. She says “she’s never met anyone like me” and blah blah blah. We pretty much established that we’re best friends. She got a new job but we still were together basically EVERYDAY. Talked EVERYDAY. I got a new job too that requires me to move out of state. I have 30 days left. So half of that we were together everyday. Out of no where she just ignores me. Doesn’t even talk to me or nothing. I try to be polite like “hey, know your busy but I miss you!” And all she says is “you’re leaving anyways.” I was like wow, that’s how you really feel huh. But I gave her space for about a week. And again I try to initiate a conversation and she’s just kinda cold about it. I know she’s cried a lot because she is sad(I’ve seen the tears lol)I’m leaving but she acts like I’m gonna forget about her and I reassure her I won’t. But still, she’s mum. I tell her “whatever it is you’re going thru, know that I’m here.” And she just said her new job really takes a toll on her. Weird, ‘cause she hangs out with all her other friends normally but I can’t even get text back lol. I think the real reason of the distancing is that she realizes that she’s in love with me. Not to toot my own horn. But we were inseparable and then literally out of no where she’s just not around me anymore. WHAT GIVES?!
Dammit I think I fucked up bad. The girl I was talking too was mixed race and the conversation was brought to 'black lives matter.' Anyway I said didn't agree with BLM and stated my reasons (none of which were racist) and she began to distance herself and now I'm like fuck. I knew talking about politics was a bad idea but this is something I'm passionate about. Eergh life's fucking annoying

You distance because as much as you like the guy, you realize that he's not for you! 😏
Thank you
Sometimes he ain’t for u....keep it pushing and stop living in fantasy
Yep. love him but he is a cheater. And when I found out he was I just was not able to look at him the same way again.
Women are the cheaters
Yeah and even men realize that women these days are just sltts
Because she realized you're on games and doesn't want to get hurt.

Brittany Cooper You do realize he wasn’t necessarily generalizing all females, right? He recognizes that all women are different.

This is a very immature yet valid response.
Yass
She’s scared
Scared and need her space
Bruh !!!
Yeah shes scared and needs space to figure out her feelings for you and her.
Not really lol

You are so right about all your videos.. You have presence
I feel left out not having a woman to create drama in my boring life.
Yes. I distance because something was said that I didn’t like, and I don’t feel that talking about it will result in a resolution that will keep me wanting to see you.
All of this is true
One more reason could be because the guy is mis-reading her kindness, openness towards him. She’s not looking to date you,man
GREAT answer to this...👍

😂 that making fun of my English made me laugh 😂😂😂😂😂
How to I tell her I like her? Like, how do I begin, what words do I use, how do I not make her upset?
being in relationship, lying, stinginess, rudeness, sneakiness could be some of the things that change people's minds.
💯💯💯 exactly true for me
This is not always true but it is sometimes

A woman is scared too feel. Her emotions are too strong.
I did this because I realized he's a player.
He believes the lies that people tell him about me
This person does this to me. Plays games and hurt me deeply
U are right it happens to me
Sorry about that, i was going through a rough patch.

If you spend time with another girl. She might think your more than just friends.
Best friends?
So true
Why would a guy I'm dating introduce me as his friend?
So his wife doesn't find out? Depends how long you been together etc.
Because apparently y'all ain't dating
