Thank you for posting. I'm actually going to swap my 2017 Sierra's bulbs to an LED today and your video made it look pretty simple. I've swapped a 2015 Silverado headlights out but the 2017 is a little different since they are HID instead of the halogens in the 2015.
thanks for the video, had a bulb go on my truck yesterday, had no idea how to get in to change it since it was the passenger side. saved me a lot of trouble and testing.
Never heard of those! Hope they last for you! I actually swapped over to a LasFit model. I don't have this truck anymore, but last I heard it was still going strong.
@fondupot sadly, they're all out due to the ongoing semiconductor sanctions. Hopefully next year they're able to put their bulbs in stock. All of their stuff is backordered as of right now.
They are not about the same brightness as a 9005. I would love to get set of halogen headlights (lenses and all) for my 2018 silverado P.O.S truck. The stock bulb style (9005) lights on my 2000 gmc were WAY the hell better than the crap on 2018. On fact there is absolutely nothing I like about my 2018. I only bought it because I was I a real bind at the and needed something now. Now I can't wait to get rid of it.
My 2017 chevy silverado 1500 lt has d5s bulbs but i want led and i dont know what size bulb. Each housing takes 1 bulb each so 1 bulb has high/low beams.
@@fondupot i wanted to try auxbeam f16 plus but they dont have the size i need. 9004 and 9007 are the same except the plug part. I been thinking about lasfit though because so far they are the only ones that have the right one. I have lasfit reverse cargo and liscense plate leds.
I am not sure, you will need to verify if you have the OEM D5S HID bulb in there. If you do, then yes you can. Another option if you have the OEM D5S is the Lasfit D5S LED upgrade. Check out that video on my channel as well. I am running those currently.
I have a 2018 silverado ltz, are my bulbs interchangable? someone told me that my truck comes equipped with LED's i dont even know if I can change them
Would you say that the change from 25w to 35w gave you significant light increase? Have you had to replace these bulbs at all since your initial install? Would hate to have to keep spending $350 for bulbs if they dont last.
Yes the light increase was significant. Very noticeable. I’ve only had them installed for 2 months and they are still working just fine. They have a 2000 hour life expectancy, which should give years of trouble free use. Also a two year warranty.
FYI for the 2017 Sierra 1500 models. we don't have the clip that holds the bulb assembly inside the headlight, we have push and turn instead, because of that there is no LED replacement yet, not that I have found....................and our options for headlight upgrades are very slim pickins, all I have seen worth the effort is the ones in this video (Morimoto D5S, they also are designed for the push and turn mounting) #Fondupot'sGarage should rename the video on the LED conversion ruclips.net/video/YHt1PZ1lQng/видео.html
Hard to tell on video. In person it was significant. This is also good as a replacement when the OEM ones go bad. OEM bulbs are around $163 each, plus tax & shipping. And the morimotos can be had for $350 shipped on amazon. Pretty close to the same price. For a brighter bulb...
I would agree. I didn’t run these long. I’ve been running Lasfit D5S LEDs for a while. Check my channel for a video on them. I’m also giving a set away. Find the link in the video for Lasfit.
Here is a video on how to adjust these headlights. ruclips.net/video/FFMjHoBcCW8/видео.html

I struggled for a year, installing my lights. You saved me tons of frustration and time. Thank you.
Glad to help.

What better way to bring in the new year, than to upgrade your headlights!
I've chose the hylux d5s over the morimoto and it was so worth it. Half the price along with better quality.

Good video ,thanks
Is there a led replacement for a 2017 GMC 2500HD SIERRA DENAĹI for dual hi-ĺo beam single bulb. What is the best street legal led bulb?
Does not fit Sierra models.
I appreciate you
Thanks!

@@fondupot i have to do those i just wish shipping was faster as when i ordered from them like 2 weeks ago it took 1 week to get here
Is this the same bulb for the 2016 GMC Sierra 1500?
I don’t believe so. Other have reported this doesn’t fit on sierras.
Will these work on a 2016 GMC Denali 2500 HD?

Your truck likely has the factory LEDs. But I’m not sure if they can be replaced.

No. Your lights are not compatible.
Well explained.
Thanks for watching!
What about the Heat Increase?
I didn’t have any issues with heat.
Do you still have the Colorado?
The Car Crazy Guy yes. I still have it.

Sorry about that. You’re right. It doesn’t fit Sierras. I changed the title. I don’t know why I had that in there. My bad!
How hard do you have to push and turn? Just tried it on my 2018 and the thing wouldn't budge
Shouldn’t be too hard.
Jesus 4 years later and you just saved me. I’m tearing up my hands and sticking my head down in looking for a clip that’s isn’t there! Thank you
My nigga bro!!! Great video 👍

4 years later how have they held up?
Honestly. Not sure. I don’t have this truck anymore.
That's all fine well and wonderful but the price difference is no where near worth it
This is a good option for replacement if the OEM ones every go bad.
I can’t for the life of me get these to line up right.
I dont see a $400 difference
